[Music] i am the true vine and my father is the husband man every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit now you clean through the word which i have spoken unto you abide in me and i in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine no more can ye accept he abide in me i am the vine here the branches he that abideth in me and i in him the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me he can do nothing if a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and his withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they burned if he abide in me and my words abide in you he shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you god is good and all the time hello everybody how are you how was your day good so was mine mine was fine and i thank god for that i welcome you to this sunday night's presentation i believe this is august the 23rd am i right and i welcome god's people watching via the internet facebook and youtube wherever you are someone sent me a text saying i'm watching from malawi god bless malawi i was informed there was someone who wrote saying i'm watching from russia god bless russia wherever you are connecting with us may the lord bless you may the lord bless your families may the lord protect you from the coronavirus and if you have contracted that illness may the lord in his abundant mercy heal you 100 i thank god for life and i thank him again for this glorious opportunity to speak for him and i thank him of course for freedom of worship and religion which we still enjoy in this country of the united states and many other countries around the world this freedom will not last forever and so i hope by the grace of god in the direction of his spirit we will do all we can to get the truth out to those who don't know this person called christ our subject for this evening face the facts what did i say face the facts favor number one as always make sure your phones are turned off i'm quite sure mine is turned off i turned it off when i was waiting in that back room we don't want any phones ringing in the presence of god by the way as i said a few nights ago the reverence i'm requiring in this place god also requires wherever you are whether you're in a desert like moses facing the burning bush whether you're in the temple of jerusalem whether in this place wherever you are when you're worshiping god god requires reference favor number two while i'm speaking pray for me and say lord put your words in that man's mouth jeremiah chapter one verse nine then the lord put forth his hand and touch my mouth now the hand of god symbolizes power and his authority to do whatever he likes the lord put forth his hand of power and touch my mouth and the lord said unto me behold i have put my words in thy mouth and favor three think as you listen isaiah 1 18 come now let us reason together saith the lord and that us being you and god what a special and privilege it is for god to invite us to reason together let us pray father in heaven jesus said if he shall ask anything in my name i will do it your word says in first john 5 14 and this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will he heareth us father what i'm about to ask is your will first forgive our sins that's why jesus died that's your will grant to us your holy spirit jesus said in john 16 13 how be it when he the spirit of truth has come he will guide you into all truth we're asking for that spirit dear god so that he might guide our minds into truth that is your will send angels to protect us their god the bible says the angel of the lord encampeth round about them that fear him and deliver of them that is your will dear god i pray now god as i humble myself before you that you will use me this is your will because your word says we have this treasure in earthen vessels father i have prayed according to your will and of course your word says in jeremiah 1 verse 9 then the lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth and the lord said unto me behold i have put my words in thy mouth father i have confronted you with your word i have prayed according to your will in the name of jesus christ answer these prayers now i pray for those who are sick wherever they are their god touch them your word says in exodus 15 26 i am the lord that healeth thee your word says in micah 17 7 18 you delight in mercy show mercy the god on the sick show mercy on those who are jobless your word says six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work well give the jobless jobs father that they may work six days and observe your seventh day i have tried to pray according to your will dear god now father it is still up to you to answer please honor this prayer we ask in jesus name amen face the facts genesis chapter 2 chapter 1 reading from verse 1. genesis 1 reading from verse 1. i read from the king james version of the bible in the beginning god created the heaven and the earth on day one god created light on day two the firmament on day three separated dry land from the water and created vegetation on there four sun moon and stars on day five the fish of the sea and the fowls of the air on day six land animals and human beings he rested on day seven and he calls upon us to honor that day god took six days to create his active creation ended with the creation of adam and eve after making the land animals verse 24-25 then god made adam and eve 26-28 of genesis chapter 1 which gives us insight in the way god thinks when it comes to us god is so good which is fact number one and we're facing the facts god provides for us before he allows us to enter a situation let me explain it differently we are in the month of august if there's a problem waiting for you in november god has already put in place what is necessary for you to survive that problem are you following me that's the way god functions when jesus fed the five thousand in the wilderness the only miracle found in matthew mark luke and john but in john chapter six verse six verse five the bible he said to philip when shall we by bread that these may eat and verse 6 says and this he said to prove them for he himself to prove him for he himself knew what he would do god is never caught by surprise can you say amen he knows the end from the beginning and so i repeat if there's an emergency a catastrophe a particular trial waiting for you in november or december or next week the god you serve has already put in place what is necessary all he requires of you and me is to obey him all right and so god made everything necessary for the happiness of adam and eve then he brought them into an environment where all they needed was already in place and all god required of them was obey me the bible says in genesis 2 verse 9 and out of the ground may the lord go to grow every tree that's pleasant to the sight and good for food to survive we need food in the new world by the way we also need to eat we talked about that sometime yesterday in genesis 2 verse 10 the bible says and a river went out of eden to water the garden and from fence it was parted and became into foreheads we had a source of water flowing from eden and flowing out we have food we have water we have air in this new world the essentials for survival god put everything in place i say again god is a god who knows how to take care of his people can you say amen not only his people but god is merciful even to those who are not his people by confession of faith matthew 5 44 45 says that ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven matthew 5 45 for he maketh his son to rise on the evil and on the good and sendeth reign on the just and on the unjust the bible says in john 3 16 for god so loved christians that he gave his only begotten son for god so loved the world so the goodness of god is not restricted to those who follow him but god's sweetest blessings is reserved for them fact number one god is a good god here's how he described his creation verse 31 of genesis 1. let me pray again father in heaven as i talk about how good you are surely for that reason you'll give me the right words in jesus name i pray amen verse 31 of genesis 1 and god saw everything that he had made and behold it was very good into a very good environment god placed adam and eve god is a good god now fact number two genesis 2 16 and 17. genesis chapter 2 16-17 we look at fact number two our subject face the facts and the lord god commanded the man saying of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die even in this which is referred to or regarded by some as a warning we see the goodness of god and i told you before god does not ambush people he does not wait around the corner and surprise you he tells you if you do this this will happen if you do that this will happen i call heaven and earth to record this day against you this is god speaking that i have set before you life and death blessing and cursing therefore choose life this is the god we serve and who loves us excuse me god told adam if you eat of that tree you will die and i have said that several times in the past two weeks we know from genesis 3 adam and eve sinned again to verse 17 of genesis 2 in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die now listen to romans 5 12. wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin who is responsible for death in this world wait a minute wait a minute who is responsible for death in this world let me ask you differently how did death enter this world sin who sinned adam someone said the devil let me talk about that briefly the devil cannot make you sin my friends online the devil cannot make you sin you have to choose to sin by the way god with all his power cannot make you obey him you have to choose to obey god so whether the direction of life or the direction of death the choice is yours and mine death entered the world because adam sinned how did life enter the world because god created life fact number one god is a good god god provided and god let adam know if you intend to live in this perfect environment this is what you do if you do the opposite death adam chose sin because of this we have to deal with death i've said on the four occasions my father's dead my mother's dead my father-in-law is dead my mother-in-law is dead my younger brother is dead my favorite cousin is dead a niece of mine is dead a young man we brought into the church long before you were born my mother loved him like a son he's dead i understand death god is not responsible let's clear god's god is not responsible because god never sinned christ never sinned the holy ghost never sinned death entered the world because of adam's sin and it passed on to us and so we deal with death we deal with sickness we deal with war we deal with plagues we deal with famine we deal with family conflicts we deal with tribal wars why not because of what god did because of what adam did and by extension we engage in a similar behavior of disobedience which means that no one has a good reason to be angry with god you want to blame someone blame adam not even satan and i don't mean to be nice to the devil because satan could not force adam or eve to sin we must never escape the personal responsibility of choice our first father chosen and we suffer as a result fact number one god is a good god god is a merciful god god always does what is best for us god provides for us and god lets us know the blessings of obeying him and the consequences of disobedience fact number one god is a good god if that's clear say amen all right fact number two the problems in the world are the result of human beings first one is adam now all the rest of us sin wherefores by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin for that all have sinned if mankind had not continued to sin like adam the world will not be in this miserable condition jesus will still have to come and die but the terrible condition of the world would not be as it is but because generation after generation continue to behave like adam when he disobeyed god the world is in a terrible state fact one god is good by the way anyone listening to me if you've been angry with god this is a good opportunity to apologize to him tell him i'm sorry i am the one jesus said they hated me without a cause if you've been angry with god threaten to leave him leave the church he did not give you what you wanted you wanted the job and then get it one of that husband didn't get him wanted whatever i didn't get it i don't like god apologize to god fact number three we caused the crisis and god decided i will solve it i will suffer all the consequences of fixing this problem called sin that's fact number three wrote a second corinthians chapter five let's read verse 21 our subject face the facts i'll pray as you look for it father in heaven as i continue give me the right words they god the right attitude the right spirit in jesus name i pray amen second corinthians 5 reading verse 21 we're in fact number three god did not cause the problem but he volunteered to solve it with all the suffering connected with that solution second corinthians 5 21 for he well let's read john 3 16 first let's go there first for god so loved the world say it with me that he gave come on say that he gave his only begotten son i'm listening to you now that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life god told adam if you disobey you perish you die god said no if you believe on jesus you will not perish perishing will still occur but it won't be you now you missed it i'll put the perishing on someone else that's god we think this way you cause the mess you fix it god said you made a mess i'll fix it that's god fact number three and so the bible says for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not suffer what god said in genesis 2 17 but have everlasting life the very opposite now let's go to second corinthians chapter 5 verse 21 let's see how far god did in enacting this solution to the problem he did not cause second corinthians 5 21 for he hath made him to be sin for us whom you know sin that we might be made the righteousness of god in him we look at that verse again for he that's god the father hath made him that's jesus the son to be sin for us that's you and me and every other human being who knew no sin refers to jesus not us that we might be made the righteousness of god in him that's god's solution to the problem we caused let me put it differently by sending jesus to die for us jesus took the blame now the quickest thing for a human being to do is to blame somebody else even when that person is guilty are you following me we got that from adam because when god confronted him he said the woman when god confronted a woman she said the serpent we have a natural tendency to blame others for what we do so every problem between two is his fault or her fault not mine jesus christ took the blame that is why we read what we're about to read in galatians 3 13 let's go there as we continue face the facts we are in fact number three it is 7 30. galatians 3 13. christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law which is death and condemnation being made a curse for us where it is written curse of everyone that hangeth on the tree let's read that verse again christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law sin brings the curse of the law jesus christ got us out of that and took it on himself being made a curse for us in other words he did not curse himself someone else cursed him as he hung on that cross as a sinner someone else cursed him and that's the god who hates sin i don't think you understand what i'm saying the bible said jesus was cursed in other words he received what sinners deserve he was made sin second corinthians 5 21 he was made a curse galatians 3 13 why for something he did not do for a mess he did not create but love will drive a person to say blame me if my wife and i are driving down the street and she's driving she runs into somebody's car i have to jump out and say my fault you're following me any other house my fault i can have the driver of the other car jump on my wall no no it's my fault you want to hit somebody hit me the law recognizes that if your ten-year-old son breaks into a store the police come looking for you adam sinned and the arrangement was god went looking for jesus you're responsible for that i hold you as a representative of humanity as the second adam i hold you responsible for that and i'm putting on you the guilt of a sinful race and putting on you the blame for the mess and i use the word mess or catastrophe that we created face the facts fact number one god is a good god god provides for his people god anticipates our needs god creates environments where we can flourish fact number two all the problems in the world were brought about by human disobedience i'm not even blaming satan because if adam had never sinned this world would have been perfect and the devil would still be around for some time at least our problems we created that's fact too so if anyone has a right to be angry with someone god has a right to be angry with me i have no right to be angry with god now fact number three god said you made the mess i'll take responsibility to clean it up i'm sending my son he is equal with me so by sending him i'm actually coming myself i need to talk about that a little bit gor john 15. john 15 let's read 12-13 i just said by sending his son in that sense god gave himself john 15 we read verses 12 and 13. 27 minutes to 8 i'll let you out before 8. this is my commandment that you do what love one another now read verse 13 microscopically greater love hath no man than this finish the verse that a man lay down his life for his friends listen carefully he has to lay down his life for his friends not recommend someone else's life it must be his life you want to demonstrate love to your wife don't ask your brother to die for her you die now listen to john 3 16. for god's soul of the world that's god that he gave somebody else's life are you with me are you sure for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son he sent someone else to die but this would be contrary to john 15 13. greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life in sending jesus in that sense that's how god gave himself now i cannot explain the details god gave himself when he gave jesus christ and that's as far as i can go which means in a very real sense in the context of salvation god took the blame for man's catastrophe he did it through jesus christ face the facts fact number one you tell me god is good has god ever done anyone anything wrong yes or no no fact number two what's that we are responsible for all the problems in the world from adam until now began with adam but the bible says all have sinned fact number three god didn't cause the mess but he decided he will fix it and in sending his son that's why how he gave himself i said again god the father found a way to give himself when he gave his son because father and son are one in heart in mind in ambition desire everything they want like a man and his wife are one fact number four let us go to luke 24. fact number four our subject face the facts 25 minutes to wait we have time luke 24 we'll read from verse 36 and i asked my heavenly father again to give me his words that i may represent the truth correctly and i prayed in the name of jesus what book did i say what verse chapter 24 what verse 36 the bible says and as they thus spake jesus himself stood in the midst of them and saith unto them peace be unto you but they were terrified and frightened and supposed that they had seen a spirit and he said unto them why are you troubled and why do thoughts arise in your hearts behold my hands and my feet that it is i myself handle me and see for a spirit hath not flesh and bones as he see me have now this is the resurrected jesus you need to understand that this is the resurrected jesus let's find out what the bible says about the body jesus had when he rose from the grave let's go to philippians chapter three we read verses 20 and 21. philippians 3 20 and 21 we're looking at the body jesus had when he rose from the grave yeah philippians 3 20 and 21 for our conversation is in heaven the word conversation in the new king james means citizenship conduct lifestyle but citizenship in some translations for our conversation is in heaven from whence also we look for the savior the lord jesus christ now carefully listen to the next verse who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned according to his glorious body when christ came he came with the body we have as far as we know when he rose he came up with a glorified body the bible says that's the body we will have when we come up in the resurrection can you say amen who will change verse 21 of philippians 3 our vile body that it may be fashioned according to his glorious body when jesus rose he rose with a glorified body there were things he could do in that body he could not do before he died in that physical body now let's go to john let's reread a verse 38 of luke 24. you know this supposes in the spirit and he said unto them why are you troubled and why do thoughts arise in your heart behold my hands and my feet go to john 20. let's read verse 19 and verse 20 our subject face the facts john 19 20 19 and 20. the chapters 20 the first verse is 19 our subject face the facts it's right after luke so you must have it by now then the same day at evening being the first day of the week when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the jews came jesus answered the miss and said unto them peace be unto you let's go back and describe the physical conditions then the same day at evening being the first day of the week when the doors were what shut how do you enter a room when all the doors are shut the body with which jesus rose was able to pass through he couldn't do that before he died this glorified body of jesus had remarkable powers and we will have them we have a clue we have a hint he was able to appear and disappear the doors are locked but he passes through and he passes out now we read in luke 24 behold my hands and my feet that it is i myself luke 24 39. look at john 20 verse 20. and when he had so said he showed unto them what his hands and his side now you combine john with luke jesus show them his hands his feet and his side why what was he showing them how was jesus attached to the cross he was nailed where was he nailed in his hands where else what did the roman soldier do to his side he pierced him now think he showed him his hands his feet and his side why to prove this is the one who was on that cross that's why verse 36 begins this way and as they thus speak jesus himself ah come on somebody say amen god does not leave us in doubt if we come to him with an honest heart he wants you to know i am god and i love you and i want to save you and i don't like the life you're living jesus himself listen to first corinthians not first corinthian first thessalonians 4 16 don't go there for the lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout jesus is coming for us he does not send an angel now let's get back to uh luke 24 36 to 39. he shows his hands and his feet john 20 20 he shows his side but what body did we say christ came from the grave with a glorified body that glorified body still had the marks come on finish my words of the crucifixion now this glorified body will be the body we'll keep forever follow me closely we're on fact number four fact number four is this fact number three says god says i will fix the mess you created fact number four god will carry consequences of fixing this mess forever let me say differently the crucifixion mark crucifixion marks will remain on jesus forever question for you and my friends online what marks will the saved have in heaven on the new earth none what cars will we carry none who sins we did who carries the marks jesus yet most people go the devil's way here's christ dying on that cross for something he didn't do listen to his voice my god my god why hast thou forsaken me the father turned away for a while which means there was i can't drop the mic imagine taking a tissue a piece of paper and tearing it there was a tearing in the godhead have you ever heard the expression rip something apart remember when christ died what happened to the veil in the temple it was torn from top now there was a tearing in it i had to use the word fabric tissue i'm trying to use human words there was a tearing in the unity of the godhead the father and the son had never been separated even on the earth here's what jesus said and he that have sent me is with me john 8 29 the father hath not left me alone that's what jesus said but on the cross the father had left temporarily turned away and jesus knew he had turned away and he felt it and he said my god my god why hast thou forsaken me there was a tearing a ripping of the fabric of the godhead if i may use the word fabric why for something he didn't do god jesus christ representing the father will carry the scars on the forehead from the cross the thorns the wounds in his hand from the nails the wounds in his feet from the nails and this the the the wound made by the spear of the roman soldier he will carry them forever there's something else god will carry forever this is the john 14 verses 1-3 you know it very well let not your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me in my father's house are what many mansions now in god's house are many mansions question for you how many people would god love to save from adam to this day everybody will everyone make it to the kingdom no will it be god's fault no which means god will have a kind of emptiness in his heart forever the emptiness because of those who would not let him save them salvation is expensive and yet people turn away let's review the facts of the quarter to eight fact one god is what a good god he takes care of us he anticipates our needs and he sets things up he found the land flowing with milk and honey then he brought the israelites two we messed up sin sickness death disease war divorce you name it we're responsible not god we made the mess fact number three god said you made a mess i'll take responsibility to clean it up i'll send my son equal to myself and through my son i will give myself fact number four in carrying out this cleaning up plan christ will bear the marks of the crucifixion forever and you and i will not carry any scars now how can someone's heart be so hard against that kind of god face the facts let me give you fact number five to consider the bible says how can we escape if we neglect come on tell me so great salvation a salvation that caused god his son a salvation that caused a tearing in the godhead a salvation that has a perfect god with scars this is love that god has for you and me but for those who say no to jesus they deserve follow me hell tonight god says turn to me my son face the facts and the central fact is i love you i want you where i am my daughter i love you and it could be that and god i'm saying to you not god it could be that your circumstances now that's causing you all kinds of stress they are the result of your own making because of the choices you've made contrary to god's will and the way he has laid out in his word but a a surrender of the life to god is step one in improving your life we hurt ourselves by leaving god we hurt ourselves by ignoring god we hurt ourselves by living as if there is no god we destroy ourselves by living as if i am my own god i don't need god tonight i've presented a god who is good well the bible has have presented a god who is not responsible for the suffering in the world in the united states in the legal language there's something called acts of god and none of them is good an act of god is not an abundant harvest no in law an act of god is a flood an earthquake a tsunami an avalanche a tornado this is an act of god in the legal like if you send a parcel by ups and for those of you from other countries whatever swift mail system you have you pay twenty dollars you paid on let's say today is sunday at noon and they guarantee it will arrive monday at noon you pay 20 swift delivery now they're supposed to deliver it or refund you but if an earthquake occurs ruins the roads and a postal van can't get to the destination you have no legal basis to sue why because an act of god occurred where are the acts of satan listen to me you know what the act of god is calvary you know what an act of god is forgiveness you know what an act of god is long-suffering you know what an act of god is come unto me only that labor that's an act of god this god is calling you tonight come give your life to me there's someone listening to me you already know enough to make a decision to be baptized you don't need to know everything that's a trick of the devil you know enough the holy ghost has been speaking to you make that decision make it you're old enough to know jesus wants your life give it to him make the decision the devil tricks us into believing you must understand everything in order to make a decision that's not true you know enough to make a decision to be baptized and to follow jesus face that fact and so christ is calling you and as a servant of god i'm calling you make a decision to obey a god who did not create the problems of the world but sent his son to solve that problem and in solving the problem one of the consequences is that god's son jesus christ will carry the marks of this plan of salvation as long as eternity lasts and you and i will have no mark that is love god said put it on my son and by so doing you put it on me all of heaven paid a price for our salvation let's face that fact with joy and for those of us who've already been baptized and who are following jesus christ surely you can say tonight father thank you for opening my eye i never quite saw it that way and as an act of gratitude i recommit my life to you how many will do that right now i recommit my life to you stand up with me let us pray my friends on the internet you can recommit your life to god or you can submit it to him for the first time you can also make a decision to be baptized fill out that decision card as the holy spirit prompts you father in heaven we thank you for the facts we faced you are a good god no dispute about that we made the mess started with adam and we've chosen to sin and things have gotten worse you decided that god threw your son to take responsibility for our catastrophe of sin and in so doing their god jesus christ one equal with you will carry the marks of the crucifixion all through eternity another cost of salvation there has been a rending a caring a ripping in the godhead when you turned away from your son on calvary another consequence the god of our salvation before christ became human the godhead was made up of three spirits father son and holy ghost now that jesus still has human flesh the godhead has god the father spirit the holy ghost the spirit and jesus christ a human being in the godhead the godhead literally changed in order to save us father let our contemplation of this soften our hearts and lead us to yield to jesus christ let this message reach all those who heard it father not just their minds but their hearts their father and let decisions be made for christ as we leave this place let us meditate on what we've heard bring us back tomorrow father as we wind down this series of meetings i offer this prayer from my heart in jesus name let god's people say amen and amen god bless you travel safely keep the speed limit as i always ask you and try to bring someone with you tomorrow night god bless you have a good night you
