so we finished now at Yamagata Cydia was a lot of fun so what do we do quite a lot didn't we we started off in yamadera the ancient temple built into the mountains into the mountainside beautiful view so right now we're at yamadera and this is one of the most famous attractions in the Yamagata prefecture and this is a temple it's Buddhist and it is over thousand years old it's absolutely beautiful here even though I've lived in Yamagata for three years now I've still never come here so this is my first time it's said the best time to come is in autumn because of the beautiful and colors but I think it's absolutely stunning in the snow it's beautiful far less busy little bit dangerous warming up but it's still beautiful I don't want a snow everywhere the contrast it's beautiful so from the bottom to the top it's about a thousand steps so it's a bit of a workout to get up here it's about thirty minutes but it's absolutely beautiful so it's definitely worth coming up here so even if you're not into the Buddhist culture the Buddhist history of Japan it's still worth coming up here just for the scenery so after that we are going to go to Kim's on until it's about an hour drive hung up and we're going to be saying a real concert very excited to those on send nice hop spread so we're at ginzan onsen which means silver mountain onsen and it's a really famous secluded onsen town here in the mountains of Yamagata and it's often regarded as one of the prettiest on some towns or japan and you can see why because behind me all of the real cards look like they're from a bygone era from like 200 300 years ago and when you walk down the street you almost feel like you've gone back in time what I love that onsen towel is there's a real sense of nature you can feel the water flowing around you there's steam rising up from the streets it feels really alive and it's really exciting sort of place to be so right now we are staying in a Japanese Inn and so we are also going to have dinner at 6 o'clock and then after that way you can to hit up the hot springs it actually be really nice and hopefully we'll be able to show you guys what's inside there so they'll be really exciting yeah throw food and then on set what more could you want hey guys so we're now at the top of meltdown 1600 meters it's a smoothly breathing yes about - - making it up I think is - today we're surrounded by snow monsters or to shore of the Japanese it's actually quite rare to find these sort of snow monsters though because it requires a certain set of conditions so you need evergreen trees big sprawling evergreen trees Siberian winds and 2 to 3 meters of snowfall and it has that hilltop of melts out so we're now off to Yamagata City to stay over the night and tomorrow we're off to yonezawa to try some Yanis our would be some of the best beef in all Japan Wagyu beef so this can let's head out so so so cold and then today we finished off here in yonezawa we visited the who asougi shrine dedicated to asougi Kenshin a very famous Japanese military commander and we've just had some amazing things so we just received or beef it looks very very good what did you get Kim so I got biscuit in Canada and this is pretty much be on rice and cabbage and I just got yours our steak it's a hundred fifty grams this is a lunch set cost about 2500 yen put a cheap ring it's young fellow state only taste the marbling the reason you know is out steak is so good because it's very well marvel so what that means is there's lots of fat in the steak and it melts a really low temperature so the expression it's a melt in your mouth it's genuine generally applicable here and you eat it it's like the steak don't smell mm how was your oh you know I was good I would say eight out of ten I got really tasty favorite sauce it was very chilly but delicious nice yeah good that about my hunter do you know the story of where your was ours no my wife's payment yeah it was actually a British going from the Charles Henry Dallas Oh weird ridiculously he he was working as a trade merchant in your hammock and the owners our government here wanted to start English school and he was invited to come up the workers on his teacher and while he was here he really wanted to eat steak Mikey D and but up until that point four-legged animals right cattlemen we're not popularly but weren't a popular food but he somehow managed to get hold of some beef here ate it loved it and then took it back to your hammer I'm told everyone like this is the best beef you'll ever have and everyone seems to agree we became friends but the reason the beef of so delicious was because the cows are really well taken care of and it said that they were like par for family ham I often so that's all March climate and the love and attention of cows go off led to the make so good yeah that was amazing it's pretty cool I didn't know that story that is our story like the family takes so much care of the county name Oh exactly how the British go I was partly responsible yes yes damn you Charles Henry Dallas discovering such delicious wonderful state probably colleagues British caucus around them let's go and drink some sake yes in the gutter but now we're off to Niigata City for some suckers so join us a lot guys enjoyed look at that yeah thanks for coming and if you want to get to Yamagata it's about three hours by bullet train from Tokyo to Hamburg at the city so it's quite easy to get to it's not as far out there as many people seem to think so definitely check out great place yeah I can dig up up onto the gutter that's okay
