Exploring The Xbox 360 Marketplace Before It Shuts Down...

oh God I forgot I had that as my background well I'm not going to change it now hello Gamers how are you doing I'm doing pretty good so some of you may have heard the news that Microsoft is going to close down the Xbox 360 Marketplace later next year which is uh yeah I'm not going to say much about it it just kind of sucks and I just thought that hey since I made a video of me checking out the Wii U EOP before it Clos why not make a video where I check out the Xbox 360 Marketplace before it closes anyways yeah enough stalling we're going to check out the Xbox 360 Marketplace see which games on here and maybe get our hands on a couple of games before the store closes because I really want to get a couple of games before uh the marketplace closes and all these games become lost Media or something so here we are on the games page where we have three games advertised Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 GTA 5 and forsa Horizon 2 yeah I wonder if people nowadays even know that Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 because yeah it's been so long now since GTA 5 released we're going to get GTA 6 eventually I'm sure Rockstar has been developing the game for quite some time now but uh yeah good lord it's been so long since GTA 5 came out over 580,000 reviews yeah this was one of the more popular Xbox 360 games on here uh yeah we're going to get out of here now can I buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 I can $30 though no thank you yeah I never been much of a Call of Duty kind of person myself even nowadays I still don't care at all about Call of Duty but yeah I can't deny it was one of the most popular games back in the day for the 360 all right uh let's go to browse games let's finally get into the marketplace right now yeah I forgot this was back in the day when like uh these storefronts differentiate digital only games to games that you can get physically and digitally yeah nowadays with modern digital storefronts like the Nintendo eShop and the modern PlayStation store they no longer differentiate digital only games and games that are available physically and digitally because there really is no point in doing so why separate the multiplay games from the digital only games when you know games are games with that being said uh we're going to check out uh we're going to check on demand first let's go with the most popular on demand games all right here we are and yep I can definitely tell these are some of the most popular Xbox 360 games on here a lot of Call of Duty there's the original Red Dead Redemption there's Borderlands 2 uh Fallout 3 oh there's stand thr 4 rest in peace rtion skate three the original Garden Warfare Battlefield 3 yeah this is just a time capsule of like the early 2000s not early 2000s the late 2000s and early 2010s and like this was my era of gaming so like yeah all these games here I have some kind of nostalgic attachment towards whether it be just seeing commercials on TV for these games seeing adverts for them or seeing people around me play them uh all of these games have some kind of nostalgic memory to me like I also specifically remember playing banjo kazui nuts and bolts at like a kiosk at Best Buy or something and I thought the game was pretty fun it seems like nowadays people are more accepting of this game of it being actually pretty good I know a lot of people didn't like it for a very long time because you know it wasn't like uh you know traditional banjo kazui but uh you know nuts and bolts is pretty fine it's it's all right it would be better if we just got an original banjo kazui game but hey uh nuts and bolts as a game on its own is pretty good Sonic and Allstars Racing Transform one of my favorite racing games of all time though I still do prefer uh Sega Allstar Racing the one before this one there's Skyrim we have yet to see Elder Scroll 6 by the way I know they're making it now probably especially after Bethesda just released Starfield but like yeah the fact that they announced Elder scoll 6 many years ago and show nothing ever since then it's just like you know what was the point of announcing it then Rayman Legends God this is just reminding me of so many like uh franchises that have yet to be rebooted or have yet to receive a new installment in a very long time like where's the new Grand Theft Auto where's the new Elder Scrolls where's the new Rayman you know I know he's in the Mario plus rabbits DLC but I I want to see a Rayman in an actual video game you know his own video game Rabbit's Invasion the interactive TV show so this one was pretty funny so uh for those who don't know this game was pretty much just a TV show an interactive TV show it's exactly what what it sounds like so basically they just took episodes of the TV show and Sho horn in kind of like boring connect activities into it basically they have moments where like oh if you notice this thing in the background raise your hand and then you'll get points or something but what's really funny is that because the contents of this game is from TV show episodes it means that if you're going to try to capture footage of this game and upload onto YouTube there is a chance that you'll get content claim and have your channel possibly be taken down so I just thought that's really funny it's a video game that you can post onto YouTube without putting your Channel at risk a good idea Ubisoft it's kind of weird how valve doesn't bother to Port you know portal one or two onto modern gen systems it says here that you can play it on Xbox One and also Xbox series X cuz Xbox series X can be backwards compatible with Xbox One games but it's kind of weird that valve doesn't like Port their uh catalog onto modern gen systems though at the same time they did put Portal 1 and two on the Nintendo switch so uh yeah at the very least you guys should uh check out the portal duy it's very good Metal Gear Rising Revengeance have yet to play that g game Far Cry 3 an absolute classic uh there's the original Watch Dogs I was so disappointed in that game Rayman Origins I loved Rayman Origins I also like legends that game was also really really good too but I prefer Origins just a little bit more I played this game on the Wii and it was a lot of fun though I do kind of want to play this game on Xbox 360 which I can also play on Xbox one I believe uh yeah here it is because the issue that I have with the Wii is that because it's a standard Dev system it means that most of the visuals don't look as pretty compared to the Xbox 3 60 version which is an HD console as a matter of fact it's only $5 I did say in the beginning that we may buy a couple of games so uh yeah here's one of them oh yeah I also forgot it takes forever for the games to download on here because it's on a very slow hard drive oh how I miss and don't miss older gen gaming connect the mes I remember that being a very popular game on the connect uh Modern Warfare connect sports season 2 okay Sonic Generations my favorite Sonic game I love this game so much man um I know many people don't really consider this to be one of the best Sonic games ever made or whatnot especially since people complain about the story being kind of you know meh but I can excuse the story not being super good it's an anniversary game so yeah it kind of makes sense that the story kind of doesn't make any sense but come on it's two Sonics in one game what's not to love but yeah this game is awesome I own a physical copy and I can play it on my Xbox series X and play it in 60fps and like I think upscaled 4K I think uh but yeah I love this game so much Sonic free writers do own a connect for the Xbox 360 it's somewhere around here it's not connected because I'm in my room and it's kind of small so I can't really play the connect on here but yeah I do I kind of want to check out Sonic Free Riders one day because this is one of like the worst connect games ever made and I'm just super morbidly curious as to what this game is like is it really that bad as people say it is the game is $20 I make it the physical copy cuz I think it's cheaper but like yeah uh I am very curious to try out Sonic free writers Catherine I love this this game I played the uh Nintendo switch re-release of this game and it was really good I highly recommend you guys check this one out I think it's made by the same people who made the Persona games um either that or shares a very similar art style to the Persona games but yeah uh I love Katherine it was a great game Connect Jo right I remember playing this at like a friend's house and it was like really fun so like how this game worked is that you had to like extend your hands forward to the connect camera in order for it to detect your hands and then you just have to move around like you have an imaginary like steering wheel around your hand hands it sounds just as clunky as you think it is it was super duper clunky it barely worked but like I had so much fun with it in hindsight the connect was honestly a pretty big fat it barely worked with any of the games that was supported on and the very few games that did work perfectly well on it was mostly just you know oneoff things like you know you do it once and you kind of never want to do it again at least with the WIS most controls were supported alongside like video games that were actually very good like Mario Kart Wii uh the K never had something like that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 this game was hot doooo three stars out of five is three stars too many I'm not going to say much about this game because pretty much everybody talked about how awful this game was all I'm going to say is that at the very least we got the remasters for the first and second game on Modern gen systems that's that that's the only good thing that I'll say about Tony Hawks Pro skitter 5 AKA I said nothing good about it at all what the hell is this one Chan Bara the sexy sister Duo ya and Saki used their sorts and hotness to fight Legion upon Legion of killer zombies take on the Monstrous invasion in a vast infected City complete with cinematic storytelling a distinctive combat system unique character moves killer boss battles and co-op gameplay yeah I don't think this game looks that good based on the screenshots that I have viewed but like do I get it for $5 dude my bank is going to be super confused s Hill HD Collection oh yeah I remember this one I remember how they changed the text on the signs for it to be in comic Sands oh Konami me never stop being Konami Konami ew they made a Game Party game with the connect I remember owning like Game Party 2 and Game Party 3 on the Wii and I hated those games those games sucked ass I got the third one thinking that maybe they may have improved it but no it was just as bad as the second one I cannot think of how bad a Game Party game would be on the connect and I guess the Xbox store could not think as well because yeah for some reason there are no screenshots so uh yeah Game Party In Motion I am not going to check out this game any further let's get out of here Mom I need your credit card I need to get Kung Fu Panda showdown of legendary Legends please Mom Rayman Raving Rapids was on the Xbox since when piss off painting and stocking yeah I guess the original Rayman Raving rabbits was on Xbox I thought that was like a Wii exclusive okay that's kind of interesting I'm not going to buy it $20 is way too much money for Rayman Raving rabbits of all things so uh yeah uh it's interesting that I found out it's on Xbox but I'm not going to buy it oh my God guys look it's the best game on the Xbox 360 Pac-Man go see ADV 2 the best okay yeah looks like we reached the end of like the most popular section on the on demand page what's on new releases I want to see what new games are coming out on Xbox 360 apparently not a lot because uh oh oh yeah oh yeah these games are piss old yeah most of these games are really nothing that interesting to check out uh yeah let's get out of here okay I think we've seen everything we could see on on demand now let's go on to Arcade limbo Castle Crashers and pigle 2 I remember limbo this is one of like the more popular ones Castle Crashers 2 and then there's pegle 2 which sort of just kind of existed one day uh yeah here's pegle 2 we can check out the screenshots which is kind of cool okay never mind it's not kind of cool anymore let's see the most popular games on the arcade let's see what are some of the most popular digital only games on the Xbox 360 oh boy here's Minecraft yeah I should go without saying but Minecraft was like a phenomenon on on the Xbox 360 uh I honestly consider Minecraft to be like you know integral to the Xbox 360 like it's part of its like Legacy you can't have the Xbox 360 without Minecraft and you can't have Minecraft without thinking of like the Xbox 360 as like the first way that many people got to play uh Minecraft go simulator life is strange episode 1 Doritos Crash Course certified classic oh my God it's Sonic Adventure 2 Fruit Ninja connect was also another game that I played at a friend's house with their connect alongside connect Joy Ride uh this one was pretty cool you pretty much just slice fruits with like your hands with a connect camera and it was like it was a lot of fun uh the connect was good for a couple of things it was kind of pointless in general but hey it was fun for the very small instances that it was fun Sonic the fighters the original Super Meat Boy the original skull girls was also on here Mighty number nine uh remember that one Ducktales Remastered Pac-Man Championship Edition uh Feeding Frenzy I love this game I played this one on PC I did not play it on Xbox but still a I love this game it was a lot of fun it's only $5 on Xbox I think I can get this game cheaper somewhere else though so I'm not going to pay $5 for it but yeah Feeding Frenzy I love this game I'm super nostalgic towards this one Rayman 3 HD I've been meaning to check out some of the other Rayman games in the series because yeah besides uh Origins Legends and a little bit of the first game game I have not checked out the rest of the Rayman series should I get the third one the HD one it's only $5 o Rayman Origins is downloaded okay perfectly timed let's see do I get Rayman 3 HD for $5 again my bank is going to be super confused on me Sonic 4 Episode 2 okay oh yeah I forgot there were like a couple of South Park digital Xbox games on here uh this one's like the tower defense game yeah I've been meaning to get like both the South part games on Xbox 360 for quite a while now now uh there was a title defense game which is this one and there was also another one that featured uh Scott tenman uh yeah I'm going to get these games right now because I like the TV show and you know I I have to get these games before they get removed forever oh and speak of the devil look who it is it's the other South Park game $10 is a little bit too pricey for these games I think but you know for the sake of like I don't know being a fan of the TV show uh I'm going to get this one too all right pretty excited for that one let's keep going what is that way of the dog oh my God this game looks like ass and I need to get it right now $10 though uh I'm honestly just expecting my bank account to be locked at any moment now I'm buying so much garbage Joe Danger 2 the movie they made a movie about this guy Happy Tree Friends they made a happy tree friend game and it's published by Sega ah you know what you know it's only $5 so you know what have I told any of you all yet that I'm not really good with my financial choices God there's just so many like random ass games on the Xbox it's kind of weird to think that all of these games not all of them I think some of them you can play them on Xbox one but yeah it's so weird that all of these games will just disappear one day and it'll only simply be a memory to those who have the pleasure of playing it like there are going to be a couple of poor saps out there who are going to be like hey anybody remember Renegade Ops and nobody's going to know what the hell they're talking about this game even looks like it's AI generated too like it just feels like it's going to be such a foggy memory towards those who played this game but yeah I'm sure like there's already going to be a group of people who are going to Archive most if not all of these games soon so uh realistically speaking I don't think I need to buy them but you know for the sake of like uh personal reasons I'm just going to buy them and have them on my personal Xbox 360 especially since I may make a video in the future playing some of these games just for the fun of it uh you know we'll see we'll see you know Boogie bunnies you think your bunnies are awesome well can they Boogie like these bunnies what what's this hell yeah Wrath of the dead rabbit okay well well with the title of hell yeah WRA of the dead rabbit I need to see what this game is about you know what this game doesn't look so bad it kind of looks fun how much is it actually let me see oh $15 though I'm going to pin it to my home just for future reference but uh yeah right now I'm not going to buy it I'm starting to notice just how good the interface for the Xbox 360's Marketplace is I mean sure it does take a while for a game to load when you enter into one for instance here I go entering into dark stalkers and it took a while there's a loading screen here but honestly with today's solid state drives you can pretty much copy and paste the interface from here onto the series X and yeah it honestly doesn't look that out of place this is a very good good digital storefront this is definitely a lot better compared to the PlayStation 3 because the PlayStation Store in that system is super slow I think many people who own a PS3 will know just how slow that is darts versus Zombies oh I need to check out what this game is it's $1.99 I'm not going to buy this that picture yeah the further we go down here the further I'm starting to notice that most of the games on here are just kind of complete and total garbage besides the one that we seen at the beginning and now we made it to the end are there any new releases on the arcade I got to see it what are the new games coming out on Xbox 360 apparently none because yeah these games are not new at all like Ducktales Remastered that game is like over a decade old I think yeah most of these games are pretty old nobody's really making games on the Xbox 360 anymore it's almost like they have a reason to shut down the storefront oh yeah I also forgot you could buy themes and gamer picks as well I believe gamer piics are the profile picture for your Xbox live profile uh you know what we'll check out these things too let's go with themes okay how about this let's sort by uh top downloads what are the most downloaded themes on here okay of course Minecraft is going to be the top one one of the anime ones South Park themes a fantasy theme can I see what the themes are before I buy them no I can't I have to buy them uh I don't think I want to buy themes I'm pretty happy with the the theme that I have now 71 slurpie theme and the the cover features a poster for Iron Man 2 what oh come on why are so many having this generic like blue themes on the cover come on show me some Pizzaz why not Aqua Teen Hunger Force premium theme please please show me what it looks like why is it $3 and why can't I see the theme before I buy it AT&T had an Xbox theme I'm starting to think that literally everybody back in the day had an Xbox theme I'm assuming the quality control for having a theme on Xbox did not cost a lot oh look at that this one is free okay you're taking the piss with this one axe hair and Ted theme pack a theme with Ted and axe who comes up with these things okay I said before I won't download any of these themes but I got to see what this one looks like I just have to see it's free so I'm not even losing any money so yeah oh well that's a that's a nice Banner there is that what the theme looks picture pack to SpongeBob pictures for a cheap price so satisfactory I think out of all the sections we've seen on the Xbox 360 Marketplace I think this one truly does capture a moment in time again the late 2000s and the early 2010s is like a very special like era for me so seeing all of this is both kind of nostalgic and also really cursed oh my God dollar menu picture pack new McDonald's dollar menu yeah I don't think that's really new anymore Doritos unlock Xbox game picture pack is that the Sam Ry Spider-Man font they use there Dr Pepper EA Skate 3 picture pack uh you know what I've had enough of this so uh yeah that's pretty much the tour of the Xbox 360 Marketplace once again it does suck that Microsoft is going to shut down the store for next year and a good amount of games that are only available on the Xbox 360 Marketplace are just going to you know disappear Without a Trace but at the same time I feel like a majority of games on here are going to be archived in some kind of kind of way I mean there were a group of people who did it for the Wii Shop Channel and there were also a group of people who did it for the Wii U and 3D ehop so I'm sure there's going to be a group of people who will be dedicated to archiving as many games as they could on the Xbox 360 Marketplace before it shuts his doors for good it does suck that it's going to shut down very soon but at the same time it has been open for a very long time I mean the system came out in 2005 so like yeah a nearly 19-year run that's pretty good I would say and before the video ends we got to see what the
