a brand new adventure today somewhere deep in the wilds of Virginia can I say Virginia it's deep in the wilds of Virginia and they're working with Patrick's who had never met Lee tempted so I hear so true yeah more or less but your dad as an old-time relic higher you say you might follow some stuff out here years pass so we're gonna look now and see what we can find got a beautiful stream here let's go look at that I think there's gold in it and I have my Peas they're in the truck we might have to come down here again a little bit later nice bedrock run the middle detector over here because you know what I bet you the old-timers party on that Creek did this stretching out with a novelist cuz they're not waterproof it will be in there before it's over let's see what we're gonna do you turn it on you've never used one of these right okay we're just keeping the relics mode what that will do it'll cut out some of the iron some of the little blips of fence wire and stuff so we'll just keep it there you get sensitivity is almost max if you want to bump it up go ahead if not that's okay too and that's about it just turn it on we're in relics are you ready to roll this is the noise you want to listen for okay I saw it just bell tone every time you go over it has a nice good number you know it's not going 83 180 315 okay when you do that sometimes it's flat iron so you have a bobby pin or something all right yeah so get a little bobby pin and this is iron ish so that's the kind of signal you don't want a big so you just you hear it a little bit the clicks X is it's being discriminated out you'd be good to go just click it on you're ready to go if you hear those kind of signals just let them go you want to you want this kind of signal ready area yeah man let's do it let me show you one more thing I look like a swing technique I'll just show it to you once and you do whatever you want but I feel guilty if I didn't at least show you it's basically when you're detecting you want to keep the loop as flat as you can to the ground like it and don't go too fast and just kind of go like this and keep it Rory at the leaf level after a while you're going to notice yourself doing this a lot within about five minutes okay and that you're only detecting what's right in front of you could do that so if you keep it close to the ground nice steady like that that's it you know just nice and steady keep it flat flush yeah what flat in flush not fat and fluffy I love the little stream you have here too we should we should pan for gold in there we're in the gold belt yeah okay so watch out for your boots any cuz you have metal in your boots and your shovel and so you might get some false signals when you go along when you get a good signal I'll show you a couple more a little techniques real quick but yeah let's just keep looking man see me bullets cannonballs never know let's see what's your number just gonna keep moving it back and maybe blow that way a that back in the day what number you getting now 39 a little low for bullet 46 yeah probably too low for bullet but I think she'd dig it man and you can always use a pinpoint or two if you're not exactly sure where it is yeah normally in woods like this they're not nothings very deep alright the farm yard of the whole Lab if you do the pinpointer you might be a little too close to the loop but you'd be like that's all it just nothing around till it gets completely solved okay probably there but still buried here I think just watch out for bottle tops being fried respect go straight man in there and what that solid G then you're touching when you do that just grab it beeps solid and just reach down there with your fingers and just you get you'll be able to feel it just do you want that solid you said you fired 20 - oh yeah that's a 522 always pleased to pull it now he's not civil war I found something right that's awesome though and if you can find those so you can find a big ol bullet yes okay yeah those are like the smallest one of the smallest things you're gonna find I mean your fine gold nuggets are getting that size big ol bullet no problem at all okay bigger than a 40 on the meter so it's probably not a bullet but I think you should dig it it sounds pretty good let me show you a little technique and what I would what I do is take it like back no no and just want a solid B you got to get it completely yeah to get this all beat okay it's gonna be right at the tip within like that far no it's just going like that keep going to you get it asabi now he's like this because it almost looks like melted lead if that's the case means they had a campfire here probably Sawyer but that's a fired bullet yeah you see a little bit of copper right there something yeah little bit see if I can find a place where maybe they were camping out a small fire people have detected here before back in the day when they approve opossum bullets we might get lucky to assistance for iron those square nails and stuff that might have been in boxes that they burn fashion boxes and ammunition boxes more than blips of motor lid hearing they'll cure it out all right so still up on top here in fact the last scene I just ended her here and wanted to show you something not many signals uphill I started getting into some iron here moving along as my shovel so there's really not much iron anywhere else in the woods except right here I was hearing some but as I looked over that's a new fence post propolis yeah it's an old fence post right there's a cedar fence post and if you see the barbed wire in the tree right there as well so when you're walking through the woods you start hearing random iron like that but in the concentration that but not anywhere else always check for that look for old post or fence wire in trees or maybe even dig a piece of - just to make sure it's not square nails because that's the same signal that you'll get when you start coming upon a home site or a camp if you're not hitting the coins and the buttons right away that's where the fence was up there and I've dug a couple shopping gels already since the top of the hill and I saw this little depression so I want to check it out and just make sure was it some type of like you know something went on there like a home site or cabin or a little baby trench or you know Hut site from the Civil War and I don't think that's what it is because you just cut that hole there you get this mounted up dirt right here and it kind of looks to me like this is probably a tree fall like that would have been with tree stood fell over and drugged the root ball up and down vertically like that and it all rotted away and left this mound here and hold there that's pretty common now I did get a signal though that wouldn't dig together and it sounded pretty good so moving the 60 so some suspicious that's gonna be nuts shotgun shell I had dougie hassle of shotgun shells out here today so I moved it see just by using my feet I didn't have to use a shovel yet we kicked it up out of the hole and with any luck you probably see it pretty quickly Maxime very quickly yourself try again here we're behind it that's why there's so many bullets here there's flinging through the air for half a mile and landing in the woods here I had suspected to notice it's not really deform so it didn't hit a tree or rock or anything the other one was the same way I traveled a long ways I lost his energy to Fort Sumner back to earth [Music] I've been finding so pistol bullets I'm looking for whether it's a fired bullet or melted piece a little lid did I just found this across the creek yeah okay that's nice that's a modern yeah Walmart and Post have water yeah that's a piece of wood you know it's hard to say about that one looks almost like small this is the fired one from earlier so they are different yeah it's definitely different that's a 22 for sure there's too much lead here to be 22 and it looks like it might have been around at one time so it could be a piece of buckshot or okay it would be civil where it you know it could be Civil War vintage hard to say without I wanted to go ahead and show you this target I am digging a ton of shotgun shells and fire bullets but this is a piece of brass or copper and what it actually is well it's be surprised but it's a fired bullet this is the copper jacket 2e fired bullets he's really thin and if you look in the center that's where a like a lead core would have been sometimes steel the military would you steal but yeah at least in the old days I don't want to use now but you know that's what the lead core would have been right there the rest of the bullet and that part came out I just want to show that to you there's not something to find a whole lot of in my videos and I probably don't show them to you at all anyway man just a lot of fire bullets here Patrick's working on the hill over there and that's where I found that lead Jack a copper jacket to the bullet and started hitting a little bit iron in here so I slowed down I got a good signal right here that there's going to be a silver bullet I mean it's pretty good-sized not like a little bullet so it's not like the other ones refining sorry just go ahead and set you up just in case it's a really civil working working fine that tells me since we're not hearing it that it's still very good ways which is a good sign all right it's a high enough signal that could ease Oh could be a some more air but if you see one yet all right I want Patrick to finally know look we're just Patrick I were just talking about that about wearing gloves and they say you always hear the word wolves and I said well you know in the river but maybe you don't worry about it in the woods so much no did you just see what I should see up close it is a bottle with a lid on it this is 17 cents and broken I can tell that that's probably more pieces in there so you always have to be really careful about this stuff these type of bottles in the woods that have these caps that you can hear that's pretty cool I don't know what that was in there but all right I'm gonna try to get that lid off I'll take the lid oh but I'm not gonna carry that glass in my bag I'm just gonna ribery without the metal so no one will be able to dig it again or will want to dig it again because it won't hear it I started up a bottle holy they're not too far from Patrick right Oh something like this it just looks like you might be something going on here bunch of rocks there so that well it's marks on the bank over there what you're probably natural but I just have a good feeling about this general location this is weird and way that's with that little Valley right there it's like almost like Ruben is spring but probably not stream the little stream let's go over there that's where I want to go right now flat right there that just looks like a place I'd camp if I were that Civil War soldier all right where you go oh the trash in here that's where we were just a few minutes ago Patrick soldiers are digging and the rocks that we were looking at we're pretty interesting and there is a beam right there could be a natural tree but that's piece of ward so there might have been a me all day I'm here one time I want to look around a little bit closer definitely go or not area right there that just looks sweet to me and right over there all right less talking more digging so I came over the stream I took a piece of wood and there was no iron and it started off was being or not but right there is been dug out by man it looks like they built a berm all the way around it like might be a pawn but there's no reason to build upon there with a stream let's go there and check it out that could be goldmine related I'm hoping anyway there's no this is a man-made hoard here and that's that flat area that looks like a pond is a bunch of iron in here I'm not a bunch for a lot more than the rest of the woods I'm gonna dig some of this up and see what it is might just be trash to be confence wire haven't heard a squeak yet but put a few pieces up see what is and all that you know in a few minutes this is what a lot of the iron is it's like this pieces of tin now that could be Civil War vintage there's just no way to know if I get some better targets I turned the camera back on I'm not gonna film everyone take that promise that's I think I look like a pond over there I've actually come back past it again ahem dougie anything but iron the big piece of iron laying up and it's a tree so I suspect or not the first detectors to be in here but that's an old piece right there that's a big heavy handle off or something I guess don't worry I would have a hole there but the old times would just take yourself in pitching against the trees but there's a lot of iron here I can see where the grounds definitely been disturbed up there you can see bumps and lumps so hopefully we'll start getting into something soon that's encouraging Ellie slightly encouraging that's the bottom we just found out handle and check this out this is definitely man-made Wow do you know they're looking for gold that's what this is and this is where they were digging for gold you can see some more when we're up that hill I I'd bet money on it they might not have found any but they were looking we need to get some pans and come back ah that's what it is a lot of gold activity in this area oil pardon several prior to the gold strikes in California this was the area in the United States where most of the gold was coming from once they hit in California everybody went out there but yeah this is exactly what this says this is awesome let's find some gold coins a drop or say had definitely worked stone that's a tool that's pretty cool a tool now if you come back here with a rake man just raking leaves Offin find some more of these things my wife's father said there's several trees back in the woods back in the sixties Eddie Carver named Jay s this is initial oh that's cool and that's my wife was my wife's initials as well 1968 they ignore the cursing or that's Virginia see oh so someone carved the outline of a jigna F the south really everywhere in Virginia I mean you know you can tell this yeah that's pretty cool yeah far as Fisher's date and well let's just say he wasn't happy with herself we did that all right guys I have to go over Barry's of all dead we're gonna look around a little bit more and we only found one relic but it was cool but we found a gold mine yeah I'm gonna get back and do some panning and maybe some more detecting and get some nuggets so we'll see you again on the next one thinking about it she'll shake the coins from your pocket
