Everything You NEED To Know About Mounts in New World

so today I'm going to be telling you everything you need to know about mounts in New World firstly how do we unlock them then I'm going to go into how you can get XP for the riding skill and what the riding skill actually is and then also how you can unlock the different variants of mounts including the wolf and the lion and also the different styles that those mounts have available for them throughout this video it will be time stamped down below so if there is particular sections that you are interested in then do feel free to go ahead and Skip to all those but for anybody that does watch the whole thing that is very much appreciated too so first things first then how do we start off the mount Journey how do we get a mount well firstly you will get a quest in Windwood town where you'll have to go over and there'll be a little horseshoe icon on the map that will take you to a place where you can start the quest this Quest then sends you up to Northern everfall so you can go ahead over here towards this hor shop however you won't have this icon on your map when you first get it there is a fast travel Point here just right of the fort where you can go ahead and run straight up the road there straight towards it now just picking up this Quest will actually give you the mount so you'll get your first Mount there which is of course a horse and then from that point on this starts the quest line for how you can actually level up the easiest way on your riding skill and how you can also unlock the other mounts so like I said there the quest line for doing this Mount or riding quest line is the easiest way for you to get XP now there is also something in a game called Mount vittles which you can see here there is basic there is hearty there is luxury and there is regular Mount vitt now the V ones that you're seeing in between are the ingredients you need if you want to craft these and then the actual vitt themselves are the ones that you can use now as you can see here if we have a look the basic ones and the first ones that you will unlock and you will actually get some of these through the quest there is also then hearty luxury and basic like I mentioned there each one of these goes up a tier so basic you'll be able to use pretty much straight away then Mount vitt is the tier 2 one so I think you need to be level 50 in riding to use these the hearty ones are of course tier three so you need to be level 100 in riding and then the final one is the luxury one here and this requires you to be level 150 in order to use so you can't go ahead and just grab the luxury ones and start spamming these right away for a lot of riding XP because these do give 15,000 each which is really good but you do have to get to level 150 first now one really really really important caveat with this is if you are starting off the riding quest line and you've just got your horse do not eat the mount vittles before you have been asked to do so in the quest line because otherwise like me you will be stuck until the next daily reset comes around and then you can actually grab your Mount vitt and eat them because they are only limited to three per day so if you eat three and then you get the quest you'll be stuck like I was so learn from my mistake and don't do that so we're talking about XP then what XP do we mean well of course it is for the brand new riding skill that you can see here I'm up to level 221 this is pretty much just from doing the quest line have also eaten some of the food per day for the last 2 or 3 days here but generally this is from the quest line now what you will see underneath on the left hand side of this UI here is level zero level 200 and the mount speed so you actually go up every 50 levels from 0 to 200 at thresholds of 50 100 150 and then 200 being the final one for increasing your mounts speed so I'm actually not too pushed about getting to level 250 anytime particularly quickly because I have got the max speed bonus what you'll see on the right side here is what the rewards you get for each level are now these are different uh things that are quite important the attachments are just Aesthetics but things like the mount charms and of course the pendants or the talismans actually do provide some sort of utility or bonus to your Mount now you can see if you get to 235 and 250 it is just attachments so they are just for cosmetic reasons so for right now I'm in a pretty good spot in terms of getting my Mount up to Max Speed also tells you here that you get them through the time Trails which is of course the quest line and through using the mount food so in terms of Mount items then what do we have well we have two types of things firstly you'll need to be able to go over to your Mount tab if you haven't played much since the update you might not have noticed there is three new tabs so combat equipment tools and bags and then Mount View so you need to go to your Mount View or if you actually summon your Mount and sit on it it will automatically take you to this view what you can then do is obviously choose which Mount you would like to have so you can click on here and go through the ones you've unlocked and grab hold of those ones or you can indeed see the charm and the pendant or Talisman that you have equipped so firstly the charm the charm will allow you to gain a bonus to se things for example the one that has been my favorite throughout these time Trails has been The Rona Mount charm which gives a medium boost to mount Dash recharge rate which is essentially if you press shift whilst on your Mount you go faster this recharges it faster which is really really good there is also other variants of the charms though so for example these are the purple variants of the second ones you get the blue ones first uh this gives a medium boost to mount Dash capacity this one gives a medium boost to mount Dash when Offroad and this one here gives a medium boost to mount - went onroad now it's up to you which one you use they're all pretty good but one thing to note is that you can actually change these as you are moving on your Mount so if you are finding a particular time Trail a little bit difficult or you think time is running out you can maybe cut a corner switch to the offroad dash one so this one down here you get a medium boost to the dash went off-road switch to that then maybe go back to the regen one get back on the road you'll start moving faster all that kind of stuff so that is really useful and that is pretty much going to be the only useful thing for the time trails the pendant or the Talisman slot here just gives things like empowered status when Force dismounted Through combat you've got ones here for haste effect you got one here for cleansing effect this one gives things like a mount summoning speed boost this one gives Mount Landing durability so when you fall off a cliff or jump off a cliff it actually takes away from your stamina bar this actually increases that this one allows you to mount while you are 10% over encumbered there's also one here for 20% and so on and so forth in terms of usefulness I would say probably the one one that gives you a small boost to summoning speed in case you do get knocked off or indeed the one that gives you Landing durability so you can cut Corners jump down Cliffs a little bit easier that could be good as well to throw in there if you are wanting to use something particularly good for the time Trails then the other slot you have is of course the attachment and you can get another attachment slot at 250 but these are purely aesthetic one other thing that is also really worth noting about the mounts when we are talking about the charms in particular is the ability to get this legendary tier 4 power powerful reddera Mount charm which gives you a large boost to the Mount Dash recharge rate now this does require riding skill level 40 to equip but it is actually farmable in game from mobs so if you have a look here you can gather it from Elite chests and Elite stockpiles Etc at the Spire of mppo which is of course in reater and it is also dropped by the siren Fury the siren dog and the siren brute now these are mobs that you can farm and if you look at the sirens brute for example these are the ones just by the gate on the way up before you open it in order to get to the big boss that is in there so you can Farm these pretty comfortably and these have a chance to drop this item now this is going to be a really really good item to have in general in the game so even if you don't do this whilst you are leveling up and getting your quest done it might be good to get afterwards but also it will give you a massive upper hand in the questing if you do want to go ahead and farm this in order to complete them quicker so I thought it was definitely worth adding into this video again I will leave a link to New World database in the description if you want to check this one out for yourselves so I don't want to spoil too much how you actually do go about unlocking these so if you do want to skip this section and don't want to know how to unlock the lion and the Wolf please do skip forward to the next section in the time slots down below but essentially without too many spoilers from great cleave you manag to get the wolf so you will get a quest line that takes you just up to this fast travel Point here or you'll might need to go and grab if you haven't already and up to this vendor here which is the diet wolf shop that will give you a quest line where you'll be then able to rescue the wolves and unlock them to be able to ride and of course that's where it sells the additional ones and then we have another one which is going to be over here in the alysium Wilds you will see here we have the Sabertooth shop so the lion shop again you'll get some quests and some time travels to do around here then you'll have to go and set a lion free and it will give you access to the Lion Mount and again the ability to purchase these from that shop so finally then just to touch on how you can get each of these mounts firstly obviously Moonshadow is the base horse that you get from the quest line if you want to unlock Bon he is sold by the shop vendor and costs 10,000 gold and if you want to get Golder this one drops from mobs inside the dynasty mutation but only from M3 so you must do M3 on Dynasty Shipyard in order to be able to get this as a drop as you can see the rest of them there have the yellow shop icon which means these are bought skins so those are the in-game unlockable ones terms of the Wolves you get Blood Feast from obviously completing the quest line you get Wolf Gang from starstone barrows again from M3 only and then Runa if you want to unlock that one is sold by the wolf vendor and cost 25,000 gold and then moving on to the Lions yua is of course the one that you get by base default for completing the quests if you want to get kodja that is available from The Lion vendor and costs 50,000 gold and then Godfrey drops from M3 depths again it can only drop from mutation level three in the depths so you can go ahead and farm that one if you want to now confusingly on the Lions Scourge does show up as an unlockable in game as a season 3 reward and that is because it is from the battle pass but if we go into the battle pass here and screw it all the way to level 100 you can see that it is actually from the premium track that you will need to do this so technically it's not unlockable in game unless you get the battle pass so that is a little bit confusing obviously the rest of them do show this little yellow shop icon in the bottom to show you that you have to purchase these from the shop so that is how you will unlock all of the different variants in game that are actually earnable through playing at the moment obviously if you want to buy any of the other variants you can of course do that through the store but those are the ones that you can actually unlock by playing the game so hopefully you have found a video you ful if you have please be sure to
