Every Kid Needs THIS in Their Life!

[Applause] what's up guys this is Daniel from arms family homestead and it's a typical hot summer day here in Oklahoma so we're all its creeks what okay hang on hey you went too soon so my daughter Emily has been just wearing me out wanting to put up a rope swing to swing out over the water and I told her no and told her no and told her no because this tree right here that hangs out over the creek that would be perfect for a rope swing it's just not in a great spot plus we got the big log in the water it can big rocks out in there and I just told her multiple times that that's just not a great idea so here we find ourselves today with a rope gonna put up a rope swing but we're not gonna do it there so I I grew up obviously on this Creek but where I live there's also a national park and my friends and I would always go that Park and there's several streams like this and somehow somewhere sometimes you know somebody always managed to tie a rope up in a tree and have a rope swing big rope swing over a swimming hole and we had the greatest time and it just seemed like every time we did that within a day or two the park rangers would find it and come cut it down park rangers were no fun and which now after years of being in law enforcement I get it I understand but we're on our creeks we're on our own private property and I think we found us a perfect place for a rope swing instead of doing it over there by the dam and all the big rocks we've got this big open portion of the creek and a nice big tree that leans out over the water it's about oh five feet deep out in there most of it it's kind of shallow up close but it's a nice soft muddy bottom out there there's nothing that's gonna hurt anyone I think we need a rope swing because I think every kid should grow up in the country or at least should spend some time in the country swinging out over a creek on a rope swing so I don't feel like climbing that tree I know it looks like it just hangs out over the water nice and easy but I'm not gonna try to inch up that tree so I think I'm just going to tie a rock on the end of this rope and see if we can throw it over the limb it's probably gonna be the hardest part of the whole process that's if we can find the end of the rope I'm not sure how they it looks all cool when it's all rolled up taut like this but I'm not sure we're in the ends of it are you know this was Emily's idea you see where she's at she said I want to rope swing I want a rope swing dear old dad about nine miles of rope here it should be good all right here goes nothing these are gonna go over the limb come out of the rope fall hit me in the head or I don't know we'll get here dang that hurt out of nowhere Oh got me right on the ear oh I'm not to go back and get some wall spray in a minute because here I am banging on limbs and there's a wasp nest right there how big a hurt dude it's happened to me before you're not starting to die we're out on the ear [Applause] well I got the rope around the limb got it tied off it's only about three feet deep directly under where the the rope hangs down but just a few feet it drops off out there probably oh good five five five and a half inch me about neck-deep so got to go cut us a limb the tie on to our swing so have something hang on three Houston how'd you get nominated to go first cuz they say I'm the lightest you're the lightest alright listen to me the this is just the first time attempt okay so whatever you do don't go backwards yeah you can't really go backwards so listen if you just try to swing straight up you're just going to splash in the water right there though okay I'm going to need you to kind of go out an angle and Shawn and go out and around okay you got to hold it with both hands come on man that didn't work so here's the problem so look see how low that is to the water right here where you're at well once we pull it back over here we got to have enough length for you to be able to reach the handle so that's why I said you got to really swing wide on it probably will do some adjusting we got to figure this thing out well that was a terrible first and second attempt we're just have to figure out the angle and the trajectory and you know figure out all that stuff no that's not it either that's not it yet hey hey no we're gonna have to do some adjusting so it looks like I may be climbing the tree after all and moving the rope from there it's about right there so that it won't hang so close to the water you're gonna try it again that's not it attempt number two or different different type of attempt see that's the problem as you're not going to beat all in this boat sides oh yeah you didn't you didn't swing far enough all right Emily hey when you swing out there let go at the farthest point okay whichever you let go too soon got a better grip than that all right I'm Martha but she looks a little more like a gymnastics kind of girl tomorrow forgot to let go Bella will save you I don't know if Kobe's arms are going to be long enough to get a hold of both sides oh dear good job all right you kids are amateurs at the rope swing game go follow ay ay ay ay e e ay ay e reality tickity talkity just take our a AE reality tick-tock yeah all right so the first rope swing didn't quite turn out as as good as I hoped the girls liked it they played on it forever so while they were over there playing I had had another idea we found another tree and we're gonna try this one out I tested it out actually I hooked it up once and Houston tested it out in it kind of slid down the limb but we fix it I think they'll like this one a lot better though well you forgot to let go again hey hang on if you'll back up the hill a little ways you can get a little bit better running start hey you got to pick your feet up I can't leave it too short or you guys won't be able to reach it so all right Amari let's see what you got that was much better I like that one a lot better your bat landed on Bella [Music] I love it thank you love you [Music] you can't put your Union [Music] [Music] well a little girl anything about your rope swing huh huh huh I said what do you think about your rope swing do you like both of them yeah we got water all in my ear out the video y'all going off that one again I mean it's no Pensacola Beach it's definitely not as pretty of water as what is in the Gulf of Mexico in Florida but is there bass in the ocean no well I was thinking but this water sure feels good after a long day at Moen I've spent about three hours on the lawnmower today and creeks sure feels good now what else we found we found a bear unnatural bear just a bear Bella Bella just won't get away from us will she and then there's better what are you doing up there bear why don't you get in the water bear is not a lab labs love love love the water bear not a lab you don't love the water no he does not like to get in see I'm just not real I'm not real high on this one because it's really shallow up there where they like to let go where I'm at it's a good five feet deep and if I keep stepping out here it's almost over my head but they like to go up there
