Every Achievement Attempt #1 - Oxygen Not Included - Spaced Out (Full Release)

hey gamers it's grind this game here back with the new series for oxygen not included the spaced out um dlc just came out as of today the day i'm recording we're gonna do a new game here uh on survival mode i'm gonna try to do every achievement in this playthrough i've never done every achievement in the game i've only done 28 of the 45 achievements i'm gonna go with the spaced out layout which has a small starting asteroid [Music] and i'm not sure which asteroid i want to go with i might go with the the basic one no traits uh i might go with what i just did what i have here the default and we'll see how that goes yeah let's just go with the defaults and the starting seed that was there if you guys want to duplicate what i'm doing so the one one of the there's a couple achievements i've never done the carnivore achievement eat 400 000 uh food before cycle 100 i think that's the only timed one so that's going to be the one i'm mainly focusing on i've never done local bore which is eat 400 000 calories of food without doing any planting like don't plant any food so that might be a bit challenging i've never done super sustainable but i'll get into all those in a bit here for starting dupes i think i'm gonna go with um i might go with a rancher this time but i usually go the researcher a digger and then something else but uh let's see here's plus seven science uh let's re-roll here let's see i can't remember what the max science it's been a while since i played plus 10 [Music] i think plus 10 might be the top we're not going to spend too much time here but okay let's go with that gourmet decreased food more that's fine um and i'm gonna go with a builder do i want a digger or a builder i think i want a digger i'm gonna be doing lots of digging excavation nine degrees germ resistance that's fine and then a rancher since we'll have to do lots of ranching to be able to feed them meat for 400 000 calories worth let's see here we want probably lots of husbandry decreased chair musicians i'm not too worried about that let's call this um uh i don't know what should we call this i'm gonna call it spaced out because spaced out came out today officially there we go here we go i'm gonna have to do some planning for this one i'm sure because i haven't done um all the achievements before so let's uh let's take a look at the achievements right away before we get right into it um i've done like i said 28 of the 45 in various playthroughs but not all in one playthrough but the one that i need to focus on i think the most early on is carnivore cycle's remaining 100 if i fail this one it's pretty much i feel everything and this one we're not allowed to plant anything uh but once we get 400 000 calories then we can start planting stuff super sustainable i've never done this before uh we just can't use any carbon power no coal natural gas there's so some other ones in here that i haven't gotten before um what else do we got a royal flush all out houses upgrade yeah we've done that before maybe we'll get into it we're going to focus on ranching let's get some uh exploration going going on here okay we got to get to some water right away so we will head down here to get this water i'm not going to go too crazy with the number of dupes because i think that'll i mean later on we might need more dupes to help eat some meat but uh we'll uh well we'll see let's see how it goes since we can't plant food we're gonna need to uh be careful with our calories good old tara uh let's make a ladder down into here i will be pausing quite a bit always do the water first that's how i always play put that right here it should be okay i think maybe we'll see maybe go medium speed so i get digging over this way [Applause] get them multitasking [Music] i do like to get them get them some toilets early on so i usually hit the water then i do uh sinks first so they fill up the wash basin oh we got our first hatch welcome mr hatch go put the bathroom right here we got a couple hatches that's good [Music] we're gonna need them that's for sure so sink there this will end up being a bathroom once we get some metal this might be uh this might be a challenge for sure um especially with the meat thing [Music] sealing collapse okay we're gonna get into some water here pretty soon get that filled up i like to build let's put a toilet right here [Music] starting biome yeah i got to figure out what i want to do with the uh anyway we've got some water coming in that's good toilet coming in water coming in it's got wet feet that's not good let's put a proper we need to get to some metal there's a bit of copper up here usually i build floors quite aggressively early on i think i'll do a pathway down here and we'll get into this set of food here this looks like a nice little place and we can get under here as well i'm gonna try to leave as much natural tiles as i can early on i think we could probably go up through here as well there's a bunch of juicy metal over here i'm gonna make this my main access ladder throughout the colony i think [Music] i still don't have any metal we'll have a little bit in a second here [Applause] make this uh i make the bathrooms usually priority eight stuff [Music] so we're gonna get we're gonna need to get a lot of ranches going early on i'm gonna set all the wild food to auto harvest and i want to actually keep this little guy in here to keep these plants getting some light so maybe i'll put the door right here keep them in there [Music] and this will be the bathroom door i want to leave a tile on either side of this ladder for airflow so i'll open this up another idle that's never good let's get over here get this metal out of here now that's going to be i do want to go four tiles and then a floor and then another four tiles let's get into there first now there's a lot of like little buried things in here that's going to help with the loki more local board achievement probably want some beds as well uh put a bedroom [Music] maybe over here they're hungry [Music] i think i'll move this uh we'll deconstruct this maybe i'll leave it for now got all these tutorials we'll clear these off [Music] it's been a while since i played that's for sure but like i said the dlc officially came out today some bedrooms yeah we'll put a ladder here make this an official bathroom [Music] the tiles here i'm going to leave a quite a bit of wild tile flooring in case i want to use it for something so this will be a door here her bedroom then we'll get some beds in there we'll make four because we'll probably have four groups pretty soon okay bedrooms uh we should really think about ranches and research get a research station going i'm gonna build this down here because there's a light down here [Music] from this thing from the printing pod and if they work at a lit workspace they get a bonus so we'll get that going and then power we'll put a couple batteries here manual generator and wire that sucker up some early research going on i'll open up this door opening up the doors helps a little bit with the animation they don't spend as much time at the doorway and let's make sure all the food is going in here we'll allow everything [Music] seven and we can probably stack another bathroom or two in here sink before bathroom we have idle dupes let's make some more uh room for bedrooms in here and this water them dipping their feet every single time that kind of sucks so let's let this water flow down a little bit through here okay research we need to get rent to ranching right away so ranching let's we need advanced research for that but let's just do this first and the advanced research i'm not sure where i'm gonna put that just yet it should technically have a light as well but uh didn't leave enough room for it here well let's set these things to the right direction and we can probably afford to put in another artist they don't really need more elements as early on because uh they don't have any uh skills yet here we got two wild hatches at least [Music] where are we gonna put the ranches temperatures pretty nice up here oh we could we could get some paku going as well that'd be nice let's open this up let this fall down a bit of a cave in and then we can head up this way i should probably think about oxygen at some point too oh we got the early oxide stuff we're fine i there i think one of the achievements is have four nature reserves so we want to preserve some of the natural plants for that this would be a nice little police of art i think actually let's just check here um rooms rooms rooms have i even forgotten where the room tab is oh here it is room overlay uh nature reserve requires four wild plants only three in here there's four at least four in here we can make a nature reservoir over here but i really gotta focus on getting a ranch set up oh let's make sure our researchers are doing our research omima probably is let's do some priorities here mima who's good at researching meemo yeah you're gonna be gonna make it lower for the others and higher for the researcher that's good and ranching will boost that whatever they're good at we're going to boost here basically and then art where's the art uh cooking oh we'll leave that for now until we have some more rolls we'll want to cook barbecue because that's gonna be good for food we got nice little spaces for nature reserves over here and i think i'm gonna have to set up an advanced research before we even get into this stuff so that is over somewhere over here advanced research yeah we'll do that next we got idle dupes so let's just keep in here [Music] oh we got natural gas geyser we can't use that um early on we want to have sustainable power got another we got another duke coming pretty soon here how are we going for food 24 000. i think we'll have enough natural food oh what's this you're anymore interesting interesting okay yeah we need an advanced workstation bench we'll build that right after this next bit of research is done and we'll continue to head up top here and we'll try to access all this free food early on but i want to make sure my floors are every four so let's make sure that's set we're gonna scaffold some stuff out here one one two three four one two three four right yeah it doesn't to eat meat but that's not the case it's um they just have to eat a certain amount of meat we got an achievement already what do we get have at least one toilet yay achievement number one of however many lots 48 i think there's special dlc ones as well [Music] off the bed they go let's build another two three can we fit four beds in there without messing things up i think so that's gonna be 16 towels yeah that's good max bedroom size i usually build my rooms four we have no oxygen that's not an issue let's build some oxygen generation of some sort i might put it up here for now we'll do an oxygen diffuser up here [Music] or we can put it down here i want a shorter wire i'm not too worried about the heat early on so actually let's put it down here [Music] diffuser cycle four already so we haven't eaten any meat at all yet let's research the advanced research next so we can get into that ranching i think i'll put my ranches up and around here maybe the mess all can go in here we have idle dupes let's open this up a bit for air flow [Music] entombed already oh the building's in tube i thought that dupla wasn't tuned here we got oxygen coming we'll make this oxygen diffuser seven as well pretty important we need a place for the co2 to go so we'll probably need to take a pit for that this looks a bit precarious in here i'm a little bit worried that this is gonna bust we could consolidate the water down at the bottom though there's some free oxygen down here let's get that free delicious oxygen we like that and algae i do want to get a paku farm going as well they're great for uh meat now do they are they considered meat oh we got a geyser here what temperature is this stuff at -10 oh beautiful nice and cool i like that okay is this good this is good you got research going uh advanced research i think we'll put we could put it down here oh we don't have it yet though soon the ladder here this will definitely change the way i play it we got lots of nice temperate need it yet we don't need it yet it's not super important we got to get those ranches going ranches are going to be key folks paku oh the fish filets from paku we can use for surf and turf which i one hopefully i've done this all right before yeah we like symmetry in the base okay we're not doing any research have we done all the wrenching stuff oh we got to reassign it i didn't reassign it okay and we don't have an advanced researcher yet uh we might need to do some more regular research first before we have enough skills for mima to level up yeah let's do should we do some more basic research here getting the better batteries would be good so she needs to scale up first get some free food down here let's get that delicious food and we need a co2 pit so i'm going to keep going down this way and we'll open this up make a big giant pit so we don't have to worry about co2 for a while and there's all like little bits of food and stuff in here and hatches which we will want hopefully this doesn't crack it might come on mima we want you to skill up [Music] skill up quickly dig away over this way too [Music] as long as we can have enough dupes to force feed them a bunch of meat near rancher uh they like ranching is this who i picked as my rancher husbandry nine yes nikolai you are going to come into farming so we can get you into ranching soon and ren is our digger let's get you into heart digging looks good cycles six hmm research is done let's keep going with the research what's kind of critical bathrooms would be nice let's go with bathrooms we actually need to get up here to plug this hole we can do it from here actually a little ladder there's then get up and we got another dupe i think we'll go for one more for now oh a decorator holy digging plus 15. building offset so we're going to offset everything down time offset two bedtime one two three bath time one kind of like that and then we'll assign oh these icons are new shows where they are that's kind of cool kind of spread them out between these two schedules i think that's good that'll reduce contention on the bathrooms that was our co2 pit probably not existing let's dig down here actually not much co2 down here but we can open this up let it go here the cycles are actually going by pretty fast we definitely need a rancher pretty soon or we're gonna be in trouble uh do we have a rancher yet no nicola we need to do now are you gonna skill up there's no farming for you to do so how are you gonna skill up or do you just get skill points let's take a look at the 605. i have to keep an eye on more food out here at some point i'm going to have to restrict them from all food except meat since actually from barbecue i probably shouldn't have dug that last a little bit but that's okay they have more to do than bodies to do it come on dupes get smarter faster you can do it i have faith do you have any other achievements i don't think we've got a single one yet except for that early one fire pole would speed them up and we could be cooking stuff i was gonna put some cooking in here i think so food uh grill [Music] yeah let's get that going there's no kitchen yet so i wish they'd had a kitchen that'd be nice that's our co2 pit looking kind of getting full so let's open that up i'll hook the grill up that's safe across the heat from these batteries pretty high okay what do we want we want fried mushroom yeah forever bristleberry forever we don't have any meat yet so pickled meal would be nice it lasts longer and at some point we gotta think about a little co2 pit for the food this is kind of a nice area right here already [Music] okay skills how are we doing ellie you can do ranching yay what about uh let's get the hat on almost getting there nisbet you can do are you a researcher science 12 get you in advanced research joshua hmm let's get you in hard digging or should we do ranching you know what even though they're great at digging we're gonna get we're gonna go excessive with the ranchers there's gonna be a lot of work for them to do let's wrangle where are you little guys where are you hatches i think you're buried somewhere where are they it's not reachable of course not yes that won't work uh let's go over and under i don't know for now and i don't think i'll take another dupont just yet we're going to take brian that's what we get [Music] crush some stuff we'll put that it's pretty hot a little bit up here need a wire up there some refined metal we also need smooth hedges eventually but not right away sounds like new music i like it [Music] i guess we can set this to auto wrangle surplus eight the other thing i should have done is put a little door a little door like here we can trap them all in a little area if we do this correctly i think forget how i did this like this just like this or is it two up i think it's just like this then we can contain them to this little area but still get the room bonus and these guys don't belong here wrangle wrangler [Music] so next episode we'll start getting some refined metal here so we can build incubators and start you know getting the population growing a lot we'll probably take on some more dupes because they'll be able to eat more food and then once we get some meat we'll get the barbecue going on on the barbie here get rid of this door it's not a good place for it
