Current summary of the wonders of the Hovind family;
Eric kicked out his father Kent.
Jo is/has divorced Kent.
Both Kent and Eric are still pushing the wonders of God using lies ... because God it seems is OK with lying as long as it supports his family.

This is very confusing to me.
I really don't understand what's going on here. You have one guy asking a very simple question of "do you think god could exist" and the very simple answer is "yes". That doesn't mean he does exist. It doesn't mean he doesn't. It simply means, it's possible. Hell, even Dawkins says it's possible, just not likely and there isn't any proof.
Ugh. It's just..... such a bad conversation. Not necessarily because of Tf00t, but more because Eric is asking off the wall questions, trying to "corner" him so that he has to admit that he doesn't know everything, therefore God.
Okay, lets play the epistemology game for shits and see where it gets us.
I'm a human with 1% of the total knowledge of the universe. There's 99 percent left. Okay, so first, the knowledge is things I know, and for the sake of simplicity, let's say that it is knowledge easily justified. Okay.
What's beyond my bailiwick of knowledge? Does God exist? I don't know, not (and possibly never) for sure. However, it depends on what kind of God claim we are making. Just god as this abstract concept without implication in nature is pretty hard, if not impossible to demonstrate it's existence.
How about the God of the Bible? That seems a bit more concrete, at least when it comes to immediate claims that we can either falsify or provide reasonable evidence for. This conception of God allegedly interacts with nature, therefore it should be possible to demonstrate it's existence.
Well, we see creationism as taken from the Bible is absurdly, gloriously wrong, despite what Eric and his convict daddy might say. A lot of contradictions exist in the Bible, and there is little evidence for many of the purported events. It therefore shouldn't be taken very seriously.
This "gotcha" game that Eric is trying to play is pure sophistry. Sophistry for Jesus.
And at the current Reason Rally, people like Tf00t aren't welcome, so there will be no repeats of this wonderful instance of Eric having his nose rubbed in his own shit.
