[Music] my mum passed away about five years ago from cancer shirley was a great influence on grace there's always a man that took her to auditions and shows and so on my mum encouraged me to sing anywhere she could and it gave me that confidence [Music] take my place when i'm gone you need love to light the shadows on your face if a great wave shall fall [Music] if [Music] i'll go run away with me [Music] i'll stay with you [Music] [Applause] [Music] i'll go if you are [Applause] wow where'd you come from essex [Music] max get the butter again rub it around yeah i live with my dad and my two older brothers joe and max my brothers are very jokey but also incredibly protective she's a little baby sister she hasn't brought a boyfriend home yet i don't blame her bringing her a boy into a house of free blokes grace has always been a very shy person but when you put her on a stage or shine a light on her she just comes to life when i sing i just get a feeling that i can't even describe i've never felt it doing anything else we all love to listen to her me and joe do what we do but i wouldn't say we're talented one bit um she got all of it all of her talent as far as singing [Music] mom would be incredibly proud of you everyone isn't i'm proud of myself for getting forgetting tomorrow it's really lovely to have one job to be proud of getting here to the voice is just the biggest thing i've ever done it's just on a whole nother level come on baby wow we're from an essex uh thorek farrick nice yeah who have you come here with i feel like i heard a big cheer yeah yeah my dad and my two brothers they are the most they are the most supportive people in the entire world and i can do any of this without them love you standing a lot more than three people they're very nice very very loud how old are you eighteen 18. yes wow why did you pick that song i connect to it quite a lot like emotionally i just thought i would be able to get it across to you and i have well you did i'll go wherever you want to go haven't you been singing for literally my whole life i've been at theater school since i'm six i work three jobs as well wow but it's not what i want to do wait you work three jobs right now currently yes what do you do i'm a retail assistant in two jobs and then i teach at the theater school that i used to go to when i was younger wow it's lovely wow that's awesome i'm so glad that ollie turned because definitely i've got a girl who is a big singer like you yeah and i'm like i can't put you both together and i was just staring at everyone just like someone turned felt these eyes and hit me we were looking first i'm so glad you're here yeah thank you so much it was meant to be it's meant to be you just connected with me there was something about that performance that made me press that button it started a bit slow and you you just kept the layers just kept coming and coming and coming and then when you hit them high notes at the end i was like i have to turn i mean i was surprised tom didn't turn i was going to i was on the on the edge yeah but i just thought i'd leave it just to the last second just the you know just to tease you a little bit more but um you did that now that you're on the voice season 2021 have you ever been in a concert show performance where people are at home look at all these no i know it's crazy [Applause] this is just so surreal i don't know what is going on i'm standing here like this isn't real it means everything so to finally be here and have you turn is just such an amazing feeling we're all in this together it's a beautiful time although a very upside down time but we're making the best of it you have an awesome voice welcome to the voice welcome to team ollie so happy he turned for you you're superb thank you so much welcome to the battles i looked at all of the singers and i felt like used to would be a fantastic battle and i think it would also be a great performance i think vocally both of you suit each other really really well i'm so excited if i could the blind auditions were absolutely amazing [Music] ollie wished i impressed we just jumped for joy but i'll never forget that as long as i live oh my god she one of the mango mum so and she did make her mum so proud my mum passed away about five years ago from cancer she really wanted me to get into music because she knew it was what i wanted to do you just connected with me there was something about that performance that made me press that button thank you so much i was so so so happy [Music] i come from a very small town so the blind audition not something that someone like me gets the opportunity to do that was phenomenal i was so happy over the moon the song i'd like you to sing at the battles is kelly clarkson breakaway he's picked an amazing song for us i don't think i know that song gotta take a risk make a change make a change i'm going to practice as much as i can because i know that that's the way that i'm going to get it to where it needs to be grace has got an amazing voice so i just hope that i can bring it chantelle is brilliant and we do work really well together which i'm really happy about you both got fantastic voices wow you've made my decision [Music] [Applause] battling to stay on team ollie it's country singer chantal paddon there's no stales left so i'm not gonna go home without a fight taking on 18 year old grace holden one of us is going to stay on the team one of us is going home and i just need to make sure it's not me [Applause] [Music] [Applause] old girl and i'm standing in front of olly murs and james bay i have no idea what is going on i have to say what you do is extremely moving thank you wow i gotta take a risk every time i'm on stage i'm thinking about my family and how i want to make them proud [Applause] losing my mum resonated with me a lot when i was singing because i knew that my mum would be so so proud of me ollie who's the winner of the battle grace when ollie said my name it was the best moment of my entire life we was just on a complete high for weeks afterwards you know she's watching live i love you so i thought long and hard about the song that i was going to pick for you it's avril lavigne okay i'm with you grace has this special natural ability to make the listener believe that the song means so much to her oh bless you you're very emotional i mean i thought mum and everything like that and it just it yeah you could sense when you were singing that then how much it meant to you i'm gonna be putting all of my emotion into my song tonight and just making sure that i make my dad and my brother's proud hoping to be picked by ollie it's grace come on baby standing on the bridge i'm waiting in the meant to you to sing that song you held all their emotions together you delivered a flawless vocal performance you're amazing i love your dad he just he's amazing as well you're just a great person it's been a pleasure to coach you i'm loving it thank you thank you so much i'm just so happy with how it went and the comments i'm just hoping that ollie picks me to go through to the public though all these three singers have sung their hearts out and are awaiting his big decision please welcome back nathan andrew and grace [Applause] this is your final decision of the competition it's so hard because they're all brilliant i just want to say to all three of you thank you thank you for letting me be your coach thank you for trusting in me oh man this is so hard honestly it really is because i think you're all brilliant ollie it's time for you to make that decision olly can you please give me the name of the act that you would like to take through to the vote oh wow this is hard the i am in the final it's just something that i never ever expected the semi-final was amazing i was really nervous about the song because it was a risk but it paid off i'm so happy for grace she is that lovely 18 year old girl that has gone through so much in her life with her mum passing and i think the public wanted to give her that opportunity like i wanted to give her that opportunity oh baby have you told your dad yeah how did he take the news he sobbed he was just so shocked having my family literally by my side from blinds to now it's so amazing and i'm just so glad that they've got to see me do this it's been an amazing journey obviously your mum's not here but you know how prayers she would be a little baby girl in the final she put you on that stage and the joy that you can see you're having that's all she would have ever wanted it was a mum that started it all really and we're all so incredibly proud of him and i love him more than life itself i love you too and i just can't wait to see you there baby thank you i can't wait to see you i'm just going to go out there tonight leave my heart on the stage and just make sure i make my family and myself proud like everyone else i hate you i hate you i hate you but i was just kidding myself out every moment i started to replace but now that you're gone all i hear are the words that i needed to say [Music] [Music] [Music] is [Music] right now calm down [Music] before you go was there something i could have said to make your heartbeat [Music] oh [Music] is [Applause] and obviously you guys found out and we we weren't there so what was it like when you found out that you were through to the final it was just so surreal i was not expecting it at all so to get the call and say you're through it was just i didn't i couldn't believe it i did not believe them at all i know we haven't got a live studio audience tonight but we do have your dad and your two brothers here and they're loud enough for a whole studio audience to be honest like yeah it's great it's amazing um ollie wow grace sitting the standards high tonight and i love it um i'm just so proud of you from your blind audition watching that vt to now like it's crazy you sound like a pop star you look like a pop star and uh yeah vogue race you're the winner in my eyes i love you thank you i don't want to say the cliche but that was amazing grace yeah thank you seriously your voice is like a wall like a powerful wall especially when you hit that that high note solid you should be really really proud of yourself thank you hamrie yeah i mean we can all just say it was a beautiful performance but for me it just it made me feel emotional because i i felt it in you and i think to get the right amount of this and emotion is so hard and you've done it perfectly thank you so much tom well first of all being on live television on a saturday night when i was 18 i don't know whether i would be able to do that so that i i commend you on that straight away thank you you know what you did and you you seemed very confident so i hope i mean it seems like that to me and and i loved it and i love what you did with the song and i loved that last note you know that's always a a cash note to use to call them years ago and uh that's that's what you did so you know i loved every part of it now thank you thanks tom grace are you happy like tom said you know we're live for the first time and there's a lot of people watching and you're first out yeah um i'm just happy with how it went i'm just it's just such a crazy experience being in front of you for anyway and then making it live is just so much more amazing but there's another good few million watching you grace yeah that's just a couple it is time for the duets and first up straight out of essex it's the amazing grace and olly [Applause] [Music] the blind audition was the most amazing experience and i'm just so happy that you turned i hear you're singing i'm like seriously why isn't i'm pressing the button here olly was the only one that turned me at my blind he's believed in me from the start you're just graceful and you are sat here today at the final grace's confidence has skyrocketed throughout this competition i don't think she quite believed she'd get a turn at the blinds so everything since then has been a bonus [Music] battles was definitely the most nerve-wracking thing i've ever done i did not expect you to pick me at all i really wanted to see that fighting spirit from grace and to see if she had what it takes to step up and wow she did she's been so consistent throughout this whole competition and it's just something she does with that voice where you can't help but love her [Music] the song i've picked for us to sing the final is take that rule the world i love that song it was one of my mom's favorite songs as well so it's quite shut up yeah of all the songs i could have picked i just think it'll be a fantastic way to end her journey in this competition i've absolutely loved this experience and i want this to carry on for the rest of my life i'm just going to give it everything i've [Applause] you got the skies up above me
