Emma Chamberlain Goes Boxing & Shopping in L.A. | 24 Hours With | Vogue

what's up folks it's Emma Chamberlin today you're gonna be following me around an ideal summer day in LA let's do it we have a really fun dad it's early in the morning right now so you don't seem enthusiastic yet but I'm actually very excited we're gonna go to rumble which is boxing do a little boxing workout she's it's summer we can do whatever we want I'm a youtuber from day one that's when I started out with doing I usually will film a video like once a week and sometimes it's a vlog of something that I'm organically doing that day like if I'm on a trip or doing something cool that day or sometimes I'll like create kind of a challenge for myself or something that I think would be like entertaining or fun to do when she talks to me I'm very predictable I'm a very predictable person I do a lot of the same things I get coffee I like going to exercise classes I'm always putting on chapstick when I'm driving sometimes potentially risking my life loving you and my friends I'm a teen girl I'm pretty predictable because I tend to get anxious filming in public I don't know why it is and less time with my friends I get anxious um I'll tend to like film in the car before I go in to wherever I'm going to so that I can get the dialogue in and I don't have to do it in public it helps so I would just do something like this going in to rumble okay let's do [Music] hi I better do good at um I'm a fighter yeah Italy when you're fighting yourself yeah done this is why you don't watch me work out because I get nervous I can't fully perform for you guys I'm serious [Music] that's a wrap let's go I just got out of Rumble and we're in California I might as well take advantage of the beach right but we have to go to Target first because I need some last-minute Beach essentials so now we're at Target parking one of my least favorite activities of the whole day oh but that was smooth nice I hope I hope they have plums here because I'm having a plum things and I really want some Oh I'm obsessed with plums like I can't stop eating them and I'm actually like a pro at picking them out too which is like like it has to have a little bit of give if it's hard you're not don't buy it and a story berry haul [Music] and if you're wondering why I'm putting my hand behind it it's for helping with autofocus if you're using a camera like what I normally use you need to use the hand okay as it doesn't focus it's a lot of work I thought this was a snack section this is the soup section I usually like soup but it's just like not a good beach bag look you don't eat soup on the beezly's I want to mixed nut medley and I want it now this is a very ideal mixed nut medley oh my god so many options in here oh no it's okay thank you so much thank you guys so much totally good oh my god thank you going in public is definitely different than it used to be for me but I think it's been actually it's been really cool I mean it hasn't really affected my life in a negative way it can be kind of crazy overwhelming but never negative I definitely did not expect YouTube to become my job when I started I literally was just doing it for fun my dad always told me that if you can find a way to make your hobby your job that you should do it that was really inspiring to me and I kind of feel like I've done that thus far with YouTube which has been really really really cool because I wouldn't want to be doing anything else I love it oh my god we whoa stop this was literally placed here by God we're getting this are these beach towels oh this one's so cute as a lobster on it I think we have everything we need let's go to the beach baby and it fits let's go to the peach [Music] and welcome back get out of my way sir it's fine should I go yeah drivings ah my strong sir yet all I do is vlog in the car all the time so that's kind of contradictory for me I've never really been that scared of being vulnerable like not a lot of people want to talk about their acne there was never really like a female youtuber that I looked up to growing up because I felt like everything was really unattainable on the internet a lot of people want to look like they have a perfect life that's totally fine and I think that's fun in its own way but I just don't that's something that I struggled with growing up having only perfect lives to look up to that wasn't something I could relate to okay they missed it well it says to go this way is that right oh no that's bad I just added 10 minutes on I had tried to make YouTube channels before probably like three times my dad was like you need a hobby I was like you're right he was like do YouTube again or try again I was like okay I feel like this time it just clicked I wanted to be the person on YouTube that put it all on the table because I feel like that was something that didn't exist yet and I wanted to be that cuz I was like there's room for that oh my God look at that dog that goes crazy look at that dog oh my God look at that dog no look at here look at that dog oh my god the glass is the only thing that's different about me in real life versus on camera is that I'm not gonna turn on my camera for them if I'm in a bad mood besides that I mean I'm pretty much the same I think I mean I just kind of talked to the camera as if it's my buddy and and we're just getting coffee or something where I've been yeah it's tiny coffee I'm literally drained right now Phil's is my favorite coffee shop and I am obsessed with you guys want anything I am feeling so at home and so rejuvenated I have my caffeine fix but when I normally bring when I come to my second home Phil's always have my camera you have a camera you have a tripod if I want to film a video or when I'm filming a video I just strap this on let's go to the beach now match I just make videos for whoever wants to watch at this point I have always thought about it as a one-on-one interaction between me and whoever the viewer is and I've kind of had a hard time understanding in being able to comprehend like the idea of it being more than just a one-on-one connection and for my own mental stability that's what it cracks down to I would that's what it is it's just whoever's watching and then me or as thinking about like 5 million people watching one of my videos that's something I can't really comprehend okay we're here we got everything we need we got our chair we got our mixed nuts the plums are in the bag towels in the bag let's let's get going I got a queue look I'm camping it's the sound of summer baby should we camp here I'm saying that because I'm tired of walking hit the sand it's dusk at the beach but we're gonna make the most of it we have our fruits oh my god I need a plum rib I burned it oh my good one this think is so juicy knowing how to handle these raspberries are so good - actually yeah yeah we had a great day today we did everything I love to do all in one day I'm feeling pretty good I want to do it all again tomorrow thanks bug we had a great day I loved going on a date with you let's go crazy it's summer baby that's a wrap I need a nap oh and why is no one else freaking out about the bars that we used Oh
