Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
He needs to pull a Jay. One producer, personal lyrics, no pop hooks.
It fits with what he was saying in Walk on Water. I buy that his current position bothers him a lot.
I think the worst part about em is he still has all the talent to get back up, but seemingly refuses to do so and is upset by the results.
I still believe we will get another good album by him eventually whether it's solo or a collab (bad meets evil pls)
Also Eminem in 99: "If I had a million bucks, it wouldn't be enough, because I'd still be out robbing armored trucks."
On 'Love Me' off the 8 mile soundtracks he says "You can't pay me enough for you to play me"
He's always been about the respect before the money. He's gotta channel that again.
Also, that verse goes tf in so im gonna link it
Stuff like this makes me appreciate MBDTF even more. Dude just came out with an album super out of left field that wasnt huge among critics then dissed Taylor Swift in front of the world then went awol for a year. That album has to be in contention for creating the best 'second wind' in music history
Em needs to pull a Hov and make the album he wants to make, not the album he thinks he has to make to appeal to the pop world. He's got every sales accolade imaginable and he's not even #1 in that department anymore. He's got nothing to lose, go for broke and make the album you want to make. I feel like he could still pull it off.
Guess he's miserable then
Good lord seeing this thread is sad. People are talking like the man has lost it all, but no one has had a career like this man spanning many albums. There are some hall of fame musicians who don't have as many hit or influential albums that this man has done. Look at all the other people of his generation besides Jay-z. Hip hop primes don't last long and I'm surprised to see so many people reject him because his last few albums weren't the best.
