central jamaica conference online church as your place for worship we are very happy to have you it is health emphasis day 2021 and we would like for you at this time to invite a neighbor a friend another family member yes go ahead and share that link and why don't you like and subscribe you know today we have a special program planned for you in mind and it is my pleasure at this time to introduce our moderator for this afternoon's program she is a member of the bushy park seventh-day adventist church she serves presently as the health education and youth elder she's an author of the book the journey and is a repeat contributor to the general conference women's ministries devotional our moderator is a trained pharmacist by profession and she is the managing director of kennedy's pharmacy and lifestyle center located both in old harbor and at the hs waters health center on old harbour road this is a company which has contributed to the expansion of the hs waters health center her philosophy god has the final words i would like to now present to you mrs kisha sterling richards happy sabbath everyone what a brilliant beautiful blessed sabbath afternoon god has bestowed on all of us we are alive in our right minds more or less and still able to access the throne of grace shall we not praise the lord even if you are not feeling too hot the psalmist says let everything that hack bread praise the lord so it is a white time yep adventist youth adventist youth and adventist youth and you may be wondering so why on earth i am here it is simply because i am an adventist suit i'll beat the senior senior otherwise i'll put you but still an adventist youth today we'll be having a very special family talk so many of our brothers and sisters mothers fathers and grannies are not well others are mourning the loss of loved ones please accept our deepest condolences those who mourn i want to also add my coat of welcome to my brothers and sisters at the family table and invite you to open your camera so our cousins online can see you before we jump into our family talk adventist youth do you remember this little song we learned as little people watch your eyes watch your eyes do you know that song anyone am i anybody knows that song let me let me remind you how it goes let's go after three one two three watch your eyes watch your eyes what the read watch your for me it's one of my favorite jesus loves in the children sure sure eldar sterling richards jesus loves the little children all the children of the world where the yellow black or whites all are whether vaccinated yes or no jesus loves the little children of the world and you know for a long time i always think he's red or yellow black or white but that's another story yes that's another story no dear family i have a story to tell you yes once upon a time i discovered by the hands of our very own kenny right that i was not well with that report the first doctor sent me to a second doctor i walked through the door she turned off the ac invited me to sit and almost immediately indicated i needed surgery brother there was nothing more i feared on the planet than the thought of someone putting me under cutting and doing i fled i was determined i'm not having a surgery i prayed fasted blended coconut water carrot beetroot female herbal and pharmaceuticals i could not understand oh god did not answer here on your liver two years later six weeks after getting married i felt dangerously ill and again disobeyed the same doctor's experience medical council to go to the nearest hospital to be transfused instead i went to milk river and of course i prayed several weeks later i was rushed through the air into surgery with a hb of 3.5 and falling the norm is 11. in english and patrol was told that an emergency surge would be done immediately and that i may not survive or recover if i survive i may need transfusion and could react oh i prayed for mercy even the doctors run with me to surgery days later they sent me home to optimize in six weeks for surgery too i delayed my return still praying for a miracle by weakened my body broke again i became whiter than snow again i hold on to god again call the doctor again this as was told and again was appeared oh i praise the lord three days later when seeing i was immediately booked for surgery too i finally got it this was how god was going to choose to heal help delivery surgery too was projected to be one hour i was a rose 67 hours later as per complications two days later a third surgery was proposed as my hp was again dangerous law blood bank was empty and there was swelling oh we cried out to god that suffered afternoon sun said god provided one unit of blood that took my age to be of five to eight the expected six beyond the expected six thus allowed me home three days later to god be the glory he worked through whom what how he will and not as i thought or prayed he carried me through years of ill health two hemorrhages one rock churches two surges then healed me through a combination of earnest per experienced medical specialist pharmaceuticals and of course our new start i learned many valuable lessons including the human body is complex medical conditions are not just fixed points but exists on a range or skill or spectrum and likewise medical solutions have to fit the scale of threat i learned i should allow those dually trained the professional respect and space to apply their knowledge skills expertise they acquired two years of training exams and hundreds of patients i almost prematurely died from a common problem that could have been repaired much sooner had i understood that i did not understand enough nor was qualified to manage my medical discondition despite it being my body and 15 years or so in the health field then i also learned fear can drive us to distrust the very sources of medical knowledge god has ordained to preserve us in dire emergency which may be different from what we think we need or would need ordinarily i know understand god has given according to his chosen knowledge skills training that are to complement each other more than all i learned that life is a sacred gift from god for his good pleasure and that not even jesus laid down his life before his time was come and that i need to avail myself of the resources that he has provided through the increase in signs and knowledge promised for the last day i cannot go for the lord if i am dead i have a duty to preserve the loan of life for the season he has ordained for the advancement of his work this is what this evening's family talk is all about your health and you what will god have us do in this dire health emergency facing us and ravaging millions let us pray dear father in heaven you are god almighty we are sinners nothing about us is complete nothing about us is sure we are like blind men grouping in the darkness but we pray a living god in the name of jesus through the power of the sweet holy ghost that you take charge of our hearts and mind help those of us who are genuinely seeking your wisdom your true your knowledge your life to find you in these dark ages help those who are hurting and suffering comfort those who are mourning have mercy upon those who may be sick even as we pray and talk who may be gasping for breath who may be struggling with one illness after another bless all my brothers and sisters in this our family talk those on the platform and those who will join us through various me oh lord may your name be glorified may your name be honored may your people get a sense of your will for their lives is my humble prayer with thanks to the father in the name of jesus amen brother and why there's a song that we bring on our brothers and sisters on the platform i want us to to listen to our church's authority the inter-american division has shared with us a position that can serve to inform and guide us in this path could you play that video at this time for us brother amore [Music] greetings to everybody it is a wonderful location to be able to greet our tv radio whatever social media audience and to be able to relate to you what is the church position on this coveted vaccination the statistics of today of this covered pandemic infection a 194 million people have been infected wow that is such a big big number and 4.16 million people are dead because of this virus you can see this is really very serious and that's the reason why we need to illustrate you we need to tell you about what is the church position because the church wants to help you okay now the general conference actually had a statement on vaccination way back in 2014 and this vaccination statement still continues to be utilized and it is more so important during this time of the pandemic okay now the statement that the church is saying is that we are encouraging people the church is not neutral it doesn't say well it's up to you to decide whether you want to be vaccinated or not but it is recommending and encouraging people to have vaccination now why do you think the church is encouraging and not just taking a neutral position or being silent about this vaccine okay you know as a church we encourage people to undergo or to embark into a healthy lifestyle we have the new start we have celebrations we have creations and as you know all of these are actually encouraging people to do exercises to take what we call a more plant-based diet having a lot of liquids and water and trust in divine power now we don't have any question when the church is encouraging us to embark in this new start and celebrations lifestyle and now similarly the church is encouraging just like we are encouraging you to embark a new start and celebration the church is encouraging that we are going to embark in this vaccination especially kovid cov19 vaccination well one of the reasons is the church is not just going to stand because it believes that this vaccine is very important this vaccine can really save lives not only that also to prevent infection to other people you know when we are going to have this covered infection it is not only us who are going to be involved i know of families first of all the wife got it and the husband got it the husband even died not only that but also to the grandparents so it is really also a social responsibility and as you know with this delta variant going on and we have so many variants going on alpha beta here in south africa then delta delta even plus and then the lambda the more we wait for us to be vaccinated the more these variants are going to come up and when they come up they become more virulent they become more vicious and it is more difficult for us to treat so it's very important that when we embark in vaccination it helps to prevent these variants from coming up but what does the vaccine do okay first of all you have to realize that when you get vaccinated the body is prepared for a viral attack you know like for instance if you know that somebody is going to come into your house to be a thief or to steal what you do is you prepare the house so that when the thief is going to come then you are well prepared and this is exactly what happens when we have this vaccination it prepares the body for an assault of the virus so that when the virus comes immediately the soldier the soldier cells of the body come into effect the soldier cells which have been formed by the vaccine then they immediately attack whereas if you're going to say well anyway i'm just going to wait for my natural immunity so it is just like actually saying okay i'll just wait until the thief comes and when the thief comes that's the time that i'm going to be prepared and by the time it's going to be too late so we are encouraging you so that when you get that vaccination and this virus is very rampant it is all around these days then your body is able immediately to mount a defense whether if you are going to wait for your body to form its antibodies by the time it might even be too late and it has been proven people who have been actually sick with kovid by about 10 or 14 days the virus is already gone while the body has successfully mount a counter attack by by the time the virus has already caused what we call a massive damage that the person is dead well also one of the things that the rumors are going on there is that this vaccine is the mark of the beast now i don't know what bible you are referring to or whose authority you're getting it from but according to the statement of the seventh-day adventist church you see that we actually understand that the mark of the beast is really whom you give your allegiance to your loyalty it is not a vaccine my friends and so we encourage you because this is not really a matter of what we call the mark of the beast because i know many people equate the vaccine to the mark of the beast now if you really look at the mark of the beast it is really a sign that you are disloyal to god in the final analysis the mark of the beast is really disobedience to god and this is it my friends if we want god to have to mark of the seal of god then we should obey and follow the commandments what god has given us uh it's going to be shown in the screen about the exact wordings of the church on this what we call the mark of the beast some people say okay there are nanoparticles and when you are going to get injected these nanoparticles are just like small chips and then they can actually identify you they can track you anywhere well i tell you it is true that technology is present but it is not present in the vaccine in order for you to be able to be tracked with the chip the smallest size is the size of a rice grain and nothing of that sort can be found in the vaccine and i tell you if you're afraid of being tracked then you might as well throw away your cell phone throw away your smart watches throw away your laptops because those are the things that are going to be able to track you down and of course lastly the church is actually saying you know we are not the conscience people can finally decide what they want to do because i know there are so many people out there who are really so scared and they are really sincere and so we leave the decision to you but we are not mandating as a church we are encouraging because we love you we want you to be spared from this virus so that you would be able to spread the gospel so that you are going to be healthy and above all let us treat each other with respect and love if people don't want to be vaccinated and say okay it's up to you but our responsibility is that let us show people the evidence and finally during this time of this covered pandemic let us remember psalm 46 1 god is a refuge a sure help in time of trouble this is the time that we need god's help and that we should be protected by him god the subject that we're dealing with has been emphasized on this health ministry's day is is is not a coincidence it's a very topical one called it is rare yeah rare initially initially pandemic and the the measures of mass wearing of social distancing of limited amount of members in the church we are not able to embrace each other not able to go and visit our hog [Music] really it's hard yes it is it's i find sometimes i find i find um that when i get to go into a church building and to to speak it is it has affected the economy affected education it has affected every sector every fabric of our society and by extension as members of the church we are part of society and so but this evening i want to i want to reach out in a very special way yes who to all members who have been directly affected i know i know i know on the other one of the panelists my my colleague um was hospitalized [Music] we've lost a family member a friend you have been affected [Music] we have been affected in the conferences and um people are a little bit scared telling you exactly um the names of persons who have been affected and so this evening i'm not recalling the names of persons who might know but at the union office wow um we know past the clicker and died from complications right with your number five east west north northeast not only have some of our members being hospitalized not only have our members um having to do the drama of going through but start to say some of them lost their lives and so this evening as i as i greet you as i as i participate as i listen as i as i learn um from you from new members of the panel um so that i will be better able to pass and care for um the wider membership and those are those persons that i come in contact with i want to lift up a razor prayer i want to place yes yes i want to place the entire community in which we said yeah let us pray gracious god you are not only the great physician when we need you not only an untimed god not only a provider but your savior and life together and so this evening as we we share in a while as we reflect on health as we see to maximize through the principles that you have established in your words and through the inspired writings of ellen white and through the skills and expertise that we have given to men and women because we know all true knowledge and healing oh god comes from you great divinely we want to pause the place before you those who are hurting those who are hurting in a direct way those who are suffering physically the trauma of kovic 19. those of god who are suffering mentally from being away from family those who can't touch those who can't help those who want to embrace their mom or their dad or their brother but they can't for fear of god that those who go to the hospital and can't even even visit their loved one oh god this is a sad time i pray that you will fortify their minds and their body emotionally and physically give them the strength to cope and to understand oh god that you are the separation from those we have loved is painful and they see you know god i place them before you that you will grant them hope oh god of hope and love and life in their lonely moments at night in their troubled soul at night give them peace peace knowing oh god that because you live they can face tomorrow give them peace and the confidence to know that when one lives for jesus and dies in jesus whether from coving or cancer whatever illness you promise o god that you have the keys of death and one day you were shot of death on hand on that resurrection morning whether we die or we are alive if we are faithful to you we see your blessed face so cover your church cover this nation with your love and your grace in jesus name i pray amen amen thank you so much pastor we appreciate hearing from you um sister dion henry could i just invite you to open your mic on your camera for a moment as pastor was praying i felt impressed that someone from central perhaps should reach out to the purses within our own territory who are being impacted some have been some are being impacted and some will tomorrow either yourself or any other designate would you be kind to bring a word of condolences and support to members within our conference who are suffering sister henry thank you so much sister sterling richards even as we were praying others were putting in their requests you know of a mother who is saying that her son is battling for his life and so i want to join with pastor everett brown in expressing condolence to those who have had to bury a loved one or a friend or a neighbor or just a member in our community in our constituency this thing is just so far-reaching you know we are we we we are grieving with you you know we have bowels of compassion and we are praying for your strength and for those who are fighting the virus we are praying that the lord will take away the anxiety the panic attacks so that the immune system can fight and that you will do all that is necessary to improve your own immunity so for us as a people i pray that we'll continue to support each other through our roving compassionate care ministry it might be just calling somebody up and talking might be just dropping off a package at the door whatever we can let us band together let us do it in love as our theme for the day says embracing change i will go and that goal is about mission god bless you all sister henry before you disappear you have said it you have hit the nail on the head it's really such a very difficult time for so many and i'm just wondering is there like a number any kind of you know contact available that if the family is just overwhelmed or they're grieving or you know just stressed out as it were if there's any support that's available from your decks or from any other dicks at the conference to people in this time because as pastor brown has said this thing affects every aspect of life we have mothers and fathers dying sometimes behind each other families are left without caregivers without providers just so many ways in which people are impacted is there any particular care plan or any anything the conference has it that it could share or extend to persons particularly impacted in this pandemic at this time well my my my office does a lot of mobilization and so there is an email address that persons can and thank you sister henry and commendations to you for the work here you and your team continue to do for this our beloved conference as we continue our program we are having a family talk and it's that's what it really is so many persons around us are just ripping your heart has been ripped apart so many tears so much so much loneliness and this even we're here to better understand how can we help how can we cure how can we support how can we be more informed how can we make better decisions that can help us to by god's grace overcome if that's his will for this courage affecting us i want with us what's the spiritual implications of kobe is there a spiritual implication if so what is the so dr douglas hi um keisha is very happy that i could join you with this program uh please inside with everyone who's watching this program is definitely needed at this time the spiritual implications recently i saw a video from somebody who i know and trust and respected in family life and it was titled the spiritual education of kovic and i was keen to watch the one and a half hour sermon at church at a church somewhere in the states and but throughout the entire presentation i didn't see any spiritual implications i saw no scripture i saw no reference to ed and white all i saw was a series of videos produced by an individual though brilliant phd d men md uh lawyer nice tv but no implications to the adventist church and certain things were shared that i saw were a bit thumbnails stuff like crispr is going to change our ability to choose god at the end of time by using a vaccine or a flu so that we would no longer be able to accept god and to choose him to follow him and i said to myself how can we as a church publish or share something like that knowing that at the end of time the test will be who you're going to choose to worship we're going to choose to worship god or the beast or the image or receive his mark there will never be a time where we will lose our ability to choose god that will not happen in the end time because if that happened then that would make god a liar and god is definitely nothing amen and therefore we must focus specifically on the word of god and its implication um sister keisha starting i'm gonna share my screen because i want to be able to just quickly run through some high points no problem my brother go ahead all right so spirit education of colby i'm going to do the good ones and the bad ones about the bad one first because bad news is just what it is i need to end up with some nice sweet things okay so the bad implications now let's start off with the fact of matthew 24 about where we are with kovet the end time prophecies in math 24 christ says and you will hear of wars see that you are not troubled for all these things must come to back but the end is not yet you have to ask yourself when will the end be for nation would rather destination and kingdom against kingdom and there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places but the end is not yet yes we will have diseases yes we will have precedences yes things that we thought would have overcome would come again but we don't need to worry about that because the end is not yet the end is not tied up in these things the end is tied up with something more important to our salvation and our eternal life so what are the implications you seek it has come and as a district pastor has seen it i've experienced it it has led to some negative things there's a lack of fellowship as pastor brown mentioned not being able to greet and meet the way we are used to advent just love the fellowship we love to have a little bond we love to talk and hug over and laugh and do these nice things and we can't cause a copy we have lack of respect people start disrespecting our leaders openly disrespecting and putting down which is something that we were not used to as a seventh-day adventist um lack of focus on the truth all the persons are now sharing a lot of arrows people are saying oh don't worry yes we have a little bad word in there but don't worry sidetrack the bad word or they say oh yes there'll be a little error in this but don't worry there are some good things in there we don't normally share um things that are not true as adventists but that has now crept into the church there's just this unity that is right and underground there is this distrust of our leaders this trust of what the church teaches what we have documented what has been shared from iad and from the the world church is the lack of distrust among us now and there's a lot of misinformation yes social media has led to a lot of misinformation so what are the implications spiritually for us as a church well we're going to need to look at scripture and in white and because my time is very short let me go to the shortest book in the bible um one chapter just jude jude verse 8 10 and 16. listen to what was said here likewise also what will happen what will happen well they shall come and defile the flesh reject authority and speak evil against dignitaries this is what what's being said they're going to reject authority and they're going to speak evil against dignitaries literally we're going to attack those who are set above us and we're going to attack them because of how we feel and what we think and what we think they are hiding who they are associated with and we have no evidence no clue but this shall happen reject authority and speak evil dignitaries but these speak evil of whatever they do not know and whatever they know naturally like group beasts in these things they corrupt themselves so hence they're going to talk about what they don't know earlier the mata moderator says listen she had her own struggles when she didn't accept those who had studied and worked and trained and how they should treat her condition and you see what happens that many persons now who have no knowledge they do not know anything about the science nothing about how vaccines work nothing about how kobe works talking about how infection work start to speak evil in the bible there is a guideline for infections um when leprosy was done this is show yourself to the priest and if he believes that this is leprosy you will warranty for seven days and if you come back and it's still there you're quite getting another seven days and if not you're not improved then you live in the camp of leprosy there was a quarantine for infectious diseases and therefore we must apply scripture when it comes down to disease are infectious we should not be confused with disease that our lifestyle which are a new start and celebrate promotes the idea that we can make our bodies true to the temple of god boost our immunity which sometimes infections come and those require treatment and sometimes it requires prevention so once again what we find in jude verse 16 these are grumblers and complainers and walking up onto their own lust their more great sweating words flattering people to gain advantage what we find is that persons are going around now and they flatter persons and they say you know i know you're bright person i know you're a spiritual person i know you're a wonderful person do you know that the church is this and the church is that and the church is xyz and they often no proof all they offer is conjecture i heard one recently somebody said the great whole the book that the church produces share the gospel in the north american division the compilation from the great controversy they say listen oh it does not mention the word pope in the great hope but it does mention the word catholic church it does mention the mark of the beast but they don't look at that they find things to subtly say and i said oh it doesn't mention it enough as before if you're quoting somebody of course you're going to mention less than the actual publication that was produced we have not taken away the book it's available in fact the church has made everything free online when it comes to n g y this is what she says selected messages and volume one page one two two she says we have far more to fear from within than from without the hindrances the strength and success are far greater from the church itself than from the world the unbelief indulge the doubts express the darkness cherish they encourage the presence of evil angels and open the way for the accomplishment of satan devices this idea that we should attack each other and speak evil of each other and we have no idea what's going on and we clothe this sort of darkness on our leaders is not of god it is from the devil and we should not indulge in it it's not our way it's not the adventist way it's not the christian way it's not the god way it's definitely not the spirit's leading in our lives so timothy 2nd timothy 3 verse 1 3 says this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come yes perilous times are here so men shall be lovers of their own cells definitely we see that kavitchus oh yes we know poster is definitely proud definitely blasphemous yes person state of holy spirit is not even a person anymore it's just an it's a power from god blasphemers disobedient appearance so true unthankful definitely unholy without a doubt without natural affection so true choice breakers yes false accusers may ask the question what does the bible say about accusing others who is the accuser of the brethren ah you see i know you know the answer the devil satan so if we accuse each other whose side are we on are we on the side of god or the devil the bible says if we see our brother overtaking our fault we must go to that brother we must talk to that brother if he doesn't hear us then care somebody who they love and know to help to guide them and if that doesn't work then carry the church the church doesn't believe in accusation the church believes in helping each other and when we start to make accusations we fall under the rulership of the dark one himself and then white says we fall under satan devices also we also recognize that she also says in manuscripts released volume 50 page 15 says the test that the people of god must have before they are sealed all who prove their law to god by observing his law refusing to accept a superior sabbath where around under the banner of the lord god jehovah and we receive the seal of the living god those who yield to the truth of the heavenly origin and accept sunday sabbath will receive the mark of the beast and white is clear the very test that we must experience in the end of time is not going to be whether or not you took the vaccine or not that's not going to be the test the test will be the mark of the beast or the seal of god that is the text that's what we have been proclaiming that's why we are the heralds of the three angels messages and especially the third message that we must proclaim to a dying world we should not be so busy attacking each other we should be doing the will of god but covet this pandemic this silence this lack of fellowship has caused the church some heartache and some pain but there are some positive implications i must tell you kofi has caused the church to bless someone to grow when they call the share of the gospel churches are now online they're not ministering they're not working they've gone beyond their doors trying to reach out and that's the blessing that we have also in this pandemic sharing the gospel and the study of end time events indeed the district that i pastor we have been studying revelation for the last seven months going through systematically and persons are enjoying the word of god study has increased there are some good things happening also and guess what my final slide is a good thing that will result you see the bible says in matter 24 14 and the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and guess what that's when the end will come may we focus on what we are called to do to proclaim the three angels message to a dying world and let them know that the end of time it won't be crisper it won't be vaccine it won't be changing anything it won't be credit cards it won't be any of those things it will be who do you worship let us be like joshua and say as for me and my house we will definitely serve the lord may god bless you amen madam kisha praise the lord i know it's not divine service but you know i just have to give god thanks for his words and the power of his words and how his holy spirit just magnifies his word i just have to praise the lord i'm sorry i just have to thank god because so there's so much confusion on her that's about it and i think yeah right the devil is always seeking in to capitalize window he finds and we know his emo from heaven where there's a perfect heaven how you explain a controversy because he had other ideas and we know the story of adam and eve and he's been just wreaking havoc through our church any time he gets the opportunity to remember our conference session in 20 2015 and and hold his shirts sure good with that it's your human organization that we thought the church was gonna break what god held this church and the holy spirit prevailed and the church of god counted us to triumph despite all the distractions from the pit of hell and so i'm just just so just so thankful for the word of god that is so clear that our allegiance to god is gonna be do we believe him to be author and creator of the seventh day sabbath and will we serve him though the heavens fall that is indeed the test of our legions and of of of our lord i just pray that persons who are genuinely confused genuinely distracted genuinely you know caught within the the undercurrent may be enlightened as we continue to explore as a family the various implications of of kobe 19. you know there are some persons who think this is a adopted story you know there are some persons who are thinking virus [Music] we have seen what what it does to people and i think the best person perhaps to to to to share with us is dr baker she's an officer of the ali department of a particular local hospital she's a self-doubt she's a member of the denbigh church of the health community we want to welcome cousins sister friend um baker to the platform and to invite her to share with us knock what really is happening in any what really is happening on the ground is this coveting you know is it is it really going on as the news says is it affecting some of the identities it's affecting just poor people black people rich people what's happening with respect hi good evening and happy sabbath to everyone i mean during this time speaking on behalf of not only medical doctors but nurses supporters janitors everyone who pretty much have to be helping with caring for suspected or even confirmed cases of kovid it is a very stressing and tiring time it is not a dopey story as you say sister richards it is real we run out of beds um we have had passages full to capacity unable to even have another patient added to see a patient we have run out of oxygen low the igl having a shipment to the country that is not a facade it's not a fairy tale it's real no oxygen i vividly remember one son who got in his elderly father sorry middle-aged father hypertensive diabetic and he was having vomiting diarrhea fever the whole works not eating his oxygen levels were low and i said to him sir we do not have any oxygen available we i don't even have anywhere to see your father at this point in time and he was understanding i'm real i was thankful for that but he pretty much just asked that at least give him the drip and we had he had to wait i'm thankful that the lord kept him he did not die but he was without oxygen that he needed and that is whole real situation there are the resources are lacking sometimes you run out of medications you run out of fluids iv fluids iv lines recently that has improved but there has been time that we have had to pretty much just wait having to ask the pharmacy please can you provide these resources on the point of families though families they sometimes i know that it's probably because they're on it's their family member you know they're wondering why do they have to be isolated why we cannot see them are you going to put them down into our cough center they don't have covered and i'm telling you the ones who come in saying they don't have coverage but tests always come back positive i've never seen a patient who their family member said i don't have copic combat negative they usually do have over 19 and they need to be isolated i've had person say so she's gonna sit in a chair sir mama i'm actually thankful that we have a chair so that your family member can fit in and that is how real the situation is people are dying people are dying and if you don't think kobe 19 is real boy i want to know why these persons are dying then i also had a there was a point where i was working in ppe in the um area of isolation and i counted i counted the persons who were admitted they were all on oxygen and we would normally double that they're eating their oxygen because they require five six seven eight liters of oxygen per minute to maintain their oxygen levels and i counted are you vaccinated no are you vaccinated no except for one elderly lady diabetic hypertensive who was completely vaccinated and she was the only one who was not on oxygen she had a few blood abnormalities that had required her to be admitted but otherwise grandma was pretty much food just needed to be observed and would soon be home the young the middle age the elderly they're all getting ill whether or not you choose to be vaccinated i'm imploring you all us all to ensure that we at least understand that or health my health at this point in time has to be my business it's not a doctor's business it's not the hospitals i have to take those precautions i have to ensure that i am taking the measures to keep me safe so ensure that i think we have gone through the news started eating and resting everything but majority of the persons who come to hospital that increase the load of patients that need to be they come for a car or they come for a headache or they're not feeling well but panadol dph cough elixir those are over the counter medications that you can get if you come to hospital excuse me and you complain of pain i'm gonna give you a panadol so you know the taxi fear that you take to come to the hospital you can use it and buy some canada all over the counter and have those at home 500 milligrams two tablets one gram one tablet panadol and you take it based on how the pharmacy prescribes it your coughing ensure you have a vitamin c vitamin d those are things that you can do to help to lift the burden because if somebody comes in and they come in first complaining of oh i'm not feeling well are having some vomiting they haven't tried the rehydration salts that they can get from the pharmacy no little coconut water no little gatorade nothing at all they just show and you have somebody who is really ill especially asthmatics during these times you guys cannot be out of your medications because sometimes we run out of your medications and liquid ventilating and actually we do that is reality because so many persons are coming oh a long time i don't have an asthma attack so they don't have any medications and the persons with their non-community government and diseases too are coming in run out in pressure medication run over them diabetic medications this is not the time i don't want anybody here listening here it's not a time to be sick with anything because even the other babies who needed oxygen they were unable to get oxygen because persons who cool with 19 on isolation wards they too needed the oxygen and so we have to be more responsible we have to be more responsible as citizens ensure that you're wearing your mask i don't know how people do it everywhere in their mouths like this i don't know how this is even comfortable and i'm like are you guys wearing your mask are you sanitizing doctor my hours are my mask i'm sorry do you wear your mask over your nose it's either hanging from the ears under the chin it's over the nose and just as how you see them coming to hospital just that's how you see them coming to that's how they are on the road that's how they are and so when they come in they come in their antigen tests are positive their pcrs are positive you don't even have to act like so just to recap it is serious it is serious the beds are running out i'm actually on duty now i just took a short break to be here and i'm working as the assistant for the cough center and we already have persons waiting to be seen we already only have one chair i'm not sure how much oxygen we how many um oxygen tanks we have available but it is real we are they we are full to capacity at this point in time so if somebody needs to be admitted they're gonna be admitted in a chair i don't want anybody here i don't want to see you guys at the hospital so please ensure that your diet is okay exercises up try something at home before you come to the hospital don't wait and watch now you know if you realize that the symptoms are not improving you can go to your nearest health center or to the hospital but try something at home first your natural remedies are there are you steaming are you drinking your ginger your tumeric are you improving your immune system really i hope that all of us stay safe and it's a choice that we have to make and i hope that we all choose wisely but most importantly free and trust in god but he's calling us to be wise as well and i'm not telling you that this is a study that i read from google this is what i see this is what i personally experience i've cried none of my family members are a person that i knew personally have been there but i see persons and i'm like that could have been my family member i remember a lady took her elderly mom and grandma was cold grandma was sick grandma later died and it was so sad i mean i have a grandmother i've seen brethren it's really well it's really rough out there we don't have the capacity to see patients i know i'm well over my three-minute sister regards but i'm just imploring us all please if you don't think it is real at least pretend that it is real and just stay safe you're likely to recover from coping 19 but there's also a possibility that you will die all 99 foreign of the patients that i see are unvaccinated those that are vaccinated pretty much just have a few symptoms and i've never seen one of them die personally from my experience so i'm wishing us all that we will be in good health that we will remember that our health your health my health we have to take responsibilities for and i pray oh boy i pray that we will all stay safe oh sit down before you go just one quick question you're seeing the many hundreds who i gather at your particular hospital who have died within the last month you're sustained from your records they're pretty much unvaccinated um yes daily we have to send in our statistics and one of the questions that we ask is are you vaccinated no no no no no no no no no no no they're not majority of them personally i have only seen two persons two and they were not they were not in need of oxygen they were not dying they did not die all the other persons there as i said they are eating the oxygen they need oxygen the latest experience i had been there was one lady she was complaining of pain chest pain and she had on her oxygen mask under her chin kept encouraging her to put up her oxygen mask and she passed she too was unvaccinated and it's just the complications of moving 19 the lung complications whether they have previous kidney complications it's everything that's just pretty much causing their mind and my final question to you are you seeing death is it is it only grandmas or dying are you know young people that middle age dying is it you know me female you know are you able to say no it's it's everyone i remember last year i will never forget there was a young boy he was less than 10 years old and he was on oxygen and he was there and he was becoming very sweaty and cold and you know was his i think one of his parents had gone to get him a juice because he had requested a juice and he was just not looking well he was in a chair no bed space nothing at all and this little boy he just kept going down on me going down on me going down on me until never i cried i cried that night because he was he was young his test had come back positive i've seen little babies especially her sticklers they come in i've seen a baby with only one lung a normal chest x-ray is supposed to be black that's fully no air is there one of his entire lung field was white lit little baby had to be admitted middle age 26 years 27 late i'm sorry early 30s they have died have to be ventilated transferred to other type and higher classes of hospitals to be treated and they have passed the grandmas are there the grandfathers are there so it doesn't matter who it's it doesn't come knocking at any specific door if you are there you you're there my absolutely last question as you spoke tears just started coming from my eyes it is just a little bit for me i'm how are the doctors managing um you know quickly are they enjoying this this excursion are they fed up and tired in in 30 seconds how how's the health team that's called to go into the the dungeon or the pitch or the hill they tend to manage it it's rough it is rough um i personally have had more moments where i just fed up i'm tired i'm tired at the end of the day i do have a family to go go home to and the really sore point is when the persons who are coming in seeking attention they really don't understand what is happening so they're waiting they're not feeling well for example but they don't understand that we don't have a staff we have one nurse one doctor to assist with seeing patients sometimes more doctors have classes based on normal patients going in and they're getting loaded there could homeowner wait so long awake one etc etc made it the year first hold that the person that come and get through before me and we have to be doing it based on severity of cases persons have been cursing doctors cursing nurses and it's really not nice it's really not nice at the end of the day we still have a duty of ensuring that their family members that the patients themselves are cared for so it's i got five days vacation five days by the time i close my eyes and deep in in a little city water it's back at work because as you heard of sometimes um at some time ago we probably wouldn't have been getting vacationing so we're thankful we we we're stressed we're tired i just left my co-worker at work and i'm like you know we're gonna get through this shift together because it's already stressing we have a lot of documentation to do a lot of patients coming in we're calling names we're tired we go home late i'm going home late tonight and i have work early in the morning by the time i lay down my eyes are open up back forward so it's really rough we are short stuff we're tired we're drained it's pretty much just the grace and mercy of god that's bringing us through or some of our colleagues have been ill and we still so you know we're stretched we're stretched almost probably to the point of no return at this point in time so again finally just please everyone please make your choice stay safe and understand that this illness is this disease is real thank you doc i won't ask another word i know you may have to go back to your duty but you can stay online as your technology allows you we want to have a special prayer for you in a little bit in fact we want to pause dr chong if you're on the phone we're gonna jump conventions just pray under pray at the ene and all the others who are affected dr dr simone could you please if you're able just do a prefer for dr baker thank you i'm sorry i didn't hear that please repeat you'll be kind to just lift a prayer for dr baker for me and others who are serving at this time thank you thank you our kind loving father or merciful father as we gather here together there god our heads bowed we pray to you dear god come on to us their god you have their god so ministers of health in the field right now traversing troubled dear god working so hard their father to do the job that you have given unto them to do we ask to dear god to be with dr baker right now and each and every single medical officer that's working so hard to combat this courage of this disease that's on us their god we ask of dear lord to be with every medical intern every single post officer every resident every consultant dear god we ask you to be with the compassionate and kind nurses give them strength their god give these individuals strength because it's easy their lord to become delusional and cynical let them still have kindness within them their god when they're faced with all the obstacles and all the problems let them be kind to people whether they're vaccinated or not their god let them extend kindness to them that they explain compassion we pray their god for even the orders the pharmacists the medical technologies the radiographers anybody who's within their sphere of work dear god because everybody is working together for one purpose and that is to get the persons the loved ones of individuals well and we ask you dear lord to touch their brains touch their minds that the work they do be your divine work their god and not of anything else let them be your hands your feet your brains dear god that what they do be your remedies your diagnosis your treatment their god so at the end of the day jamaica can say that we have conquered this disease i pray blessing on each and every one of them in their homes i pray that they don't get frustrated i pray they give them strength to fly like eagles and i pray their god that throughout all we know that your presence is here with us i pray for the patience their god touch them strengthen them keep them keep them strong their god they need strength at a time like this whether it is called their suffering from or some other illness because everybody with every illness has been affected in a negative way right now and helping us in this journey towards understanding the different roles that each one of us will play as a family as we continue to send our love to those who are hurting and we pray of those who are share with us what is your relation to this theme your help you the implication of kobe 19. how is corbin pastor good afternoon everybody i must first say thanks to all those who've been praying for me and having prayer vigils and all of that all over the world here and i want to thank my president pastor brown for checking up on me almost every day keisha has done a lot of work for me to help preserve my life and i want to thank my conference for the role that they play in helping to keep me alive my my journey is a long one three minutes couldn't do it but i'm gonna say if i can go to the nutshell i i went through some symptoms a week before i was admitted and when i was eventually taken to the hospital there are a number of things that i was told that happened to me that i didn't no recollection of it but when i got into the hospital i heard what the doctor said to my wife your husband is very sick very very sick and he's stressed on the very very sea and i was in and out of it not knowing not knowing when i was going out or anything but what i do know is that listening to the doctors and the nurses i was at the point of death and i want to thank keisha and um siobhan and others who have hunted down that particular medicine for me to get i don't think i'll be around i want to thank the nurses and the doctors in that world and the hospital services were good and we understand the doctors working in the media hospital but sister keisha to be honest with you the fact of the matter is i don't know all that i went through but i know that i've gone through a whole lot and when the doctors discharged me and i was coming out the doctors and the nurses were there standing looking at me they were saying i believe the man that was dead is now alive and walking out i i'm gonna ask all the virtual and non-christians to protect themselves because this thing is real and it doesn't come for any specific person it affects all of us i saw nine person died around me can you imagine getting up in the nights three o'clock at times sleeping sitting up in your bed and when you look at us they're looking at one or two dead persons it's not nice the effects of it right now it has left me very weak the doctors told me that would be a long journey back to health i walk i still walk and stumble i try to walk in the morning so my wife is with me it's very close to me that's if i stumble i can grab onto her it has caused me in my right eye there is a cloudiness i don't want to publish the medication a cloudiness is in my right eye so i don't have that particular view as i used to have and the heaviness in the right eye so that i'll have to watch but let me tell you is something that eats you away it eats you away and it's not asking you'll be true it is just doing its work still have a short breathing see i talk too much i start really sure but and the coffin is there sometimes too but to god be the glorious great things he has done it has changed my life completely i cannot be the same therein as i used to be i have to be more than that i'm gonna ask you to all pray for me that i will make a complete recovery in a little while from now and that i'll be able to get back to my work so i can spread this good news and tell people of my experience so that they can shut themselves to ward off this disease as best way they possibly can thank everyone everybody who has been praying who has been supporting who was called who has stayed in their corner and prayed i thank you all i appreciate it very much and i believe that god has given me a second release on life and i'm going to make use of it god bless you teacher thank you my pastor my brother my friend and i'm just so thankful for sister sophia and for abigail and the support they all bring to your life i remember seeing you all in the hospital that friday august 6th and i'm thinking this must be a dopey this must be a nightmare that all members of a whole soul are locked in unable to help each other outside but truly god's goodness and mercy it has kept you and certainly you must proclaim the goodness of god one doctor heard said they have never seen someone gotten to where you have gotten to and turned around and we know it's the hands of god and the power of the saints that kept yeah we just want to magnify the name of the lord and thank him and worship him for his goodness not just to you but to all he has chosen to call back fallacy through this as well we continue our journey through the implications of code and i want to welcome at this time my big sister my friend paula marie murray she is a social worker by training and she's currently assigned to the westmoreland um division where she cares for the elderly sister paula tell us quickly is corbin affecting the elderly soul to what extent have you found this in your experience with the elderly good afternoon everyone oh it's it's tremendous it's it's it's horrible if you want to put it that way um i've i may not be in the health sector i am not in the health sector i'm in the social services and i have had incidents or situations where persons come to me older persons of course because i deal with person 60 and older and i've seen where these persons they usually hustle on the road and they come because they can't do that anymore because they have co-morbidities and they have come to my office asking for assistance no because of the the number of persons coming in the resources are not available it's not the most i can do at times is provide them with a grocery package because as i said the resources it is it is candy it's it's it's it's it's challenging um we have we have approximately 4 000 and odd persons who have taken the vaccine in this parish all the persons i'm talking about and um no it's not four thousand six thousand six thousand and odd and it's as a result of the delta variant i've had um meetings with groups group members where we form groups within the the we have clubs whereas we meet senior citizens meet in groups and i had a meeting with with one particular group and they said that they're very hesitant of the of the the vaccine because they don't know if it is going to kill them or not however because of delta no they have seen it necessary to even call me and ask if i can set up an appointment for them to get vaccinated the debts it's it's that is another matter i have two houses from me i have a senior who died i think it was week before last he's related to the nurse who died in this parish and unfortunately his sister succumbed to kovid yesterday also she's a senior citizen also there's another situation um there's a gentleman he's a president for one of the senior citizens group very active person and we were told that he was ill and within days he passed away but as a result of that i it's it's encouraging it's it's awful yes but it's encouraging because no the seniors want to be vaccinated though however though they want to be vaccinated they'll get the vaccine and they'll say miss murray are still not coming out of my house i stay in my house the only time i come out is to get my medication or they'll ask me to assist with that they do not want the interactions i have one senior she lives alone her children live overseas and she'll call me and tell me that you know it's driving her crazy to be in the house by herself however she'd rather be at home and prolong her life than to interact with persons not knowing if they have the virus or not um i asked for the recovery rate it's we have fought for all the persons in recent times especially older persons who have been affected by quote by covid they have succumbed to it i know of no one no one who is 60 and older who is still alive or has recovered from kovid at this point and it's we ask for your prayers and for the prayers of the seniors especially we are used to coming out they they're used to meeting each other having group meetings attending various events like domino tournaments which is what i planned domino tournaments sports days that kind of thing and they are no they are confined to whom not only that though we may we provide um lessons on how to use the gadgets and so on some of them as a result of income they do not have it financially so therefore so therefore they are unable to be online and so they will call me that's what they do telephone calls they'll call to say well miss murray we wish that we could have go back to we meetings again the long faces some other the with friends and so on before the delta variant um it was discovered here in jamaica i had a meeting with a group and the meeting should have lasted maybe half an hour when they came out about 11 of them yes we we observed the protocol but they did not want to go home they said to me man this is so refreshing we hardly get to do this i haven't seen so and so in such a long time and as a result of that base i had to be employing them no it's time to go we have to go now but they are looking forward to when we can do things as well things will never be normal again of course but they're looking forward to more meetings and as i said before because we have gone virtual that is not impacting them because they are they have they are unable to engage in this way but um we are hopeful i am hopeful and eventually things will they ah things will things will work itself out because i believe in god god will be our strength he will continue to be our strength and as a matter of fact i have seen us who are encouraging me at times though they are mentally drained they are affected they will call me and say miss miss murray we are asking we just keep defeat continue to trust god contin that's how they behave you have those who are quite despondent i've had several of those persons in my office and i've had to encourage them call them from time to time it's diverse the situations they are diverse but we will continue i will continue to do what i can what i have obligated to do to serve persons this vulnerable group i will continue to do that thank you so very much sister cause a friend paula for sharing with us we we have been journeying through the implications of colvin 19 and how it's affecting us as individuals family and the church community joining us this evening is our keynote presenter dr douglas delano street medical doctor author talk show presenter um family man marital beautiful wife has his beautiful daughter i want to make him welcome he's from the west jamaica conference his memberships are the cleveland glendale symphony adventist author of two books he will share with us a little bit more into the covid 19 vaccine options there are mechanisms of action and and and some of the main concerns that pertain to the covey 19 vaccine however before he opens his mind and camera invites us to sit down to close our eyes and just to enjoy this beautiful ministry from the group of borders from the old harvest seventh day adventist church there is healing in the name of jesus and as this song is being played i pray that you will claim your healing of the mind of the body of the soul of for the leper there is healing for formalities today there is healing for your souls fall on your knees you must believe you must believe there is a healing greetings everybody it's really a pleasure to be here i feel like i'm in a very you know comfortable place i'm among friends especially my friend keisha and uh paula i'm among colleagues you know and i guess former patients so this is a very comfortable place and i'm very happy to be here it's a real privilege to share this with you um it's really a honor to be in this position to share what i have with you before i start this one to respond of prayer lord we glorify your name and just ask for your name to be glorified today above all things your name be lifted up honor and glorified jesus presentation in christ let me pray amen yes um you know this kobe 19 thing has really brought us through so many different emotions um anger despair disbelief confusion you know it has been so um you know it brings out all kind of emotions you know it's it's really um you know it's very interesting this overnight in conversation is something that takes place every day i'm in the office and you know i have been very happy to you know encourage persons you know i had a patient recently who you know i i sat down with farting about half an hour and just talked with her um you know and you know she decided to get her vaccine she got it done within a week you know those experiences are very rewarding for me so um i've had patients that have died you know patients that have been around a long time i know my husband died and his wife actually died um someone's later but from a different condition and i wonder if there was any relation between the two you know so it has really been affecting a lot of persons and i really hope that um we can speak our to us today so before we start i just want to um let you understand what it is that takes place even with infections and as you can see this diagram um when i jump in into the body um the body certain white side cells um goblin on the germ and basically alert the rest of the immune system they there's the one set of them prepared to to to destroy the virus and another set they produce antibodies and these antibodies attach to the to the germ and then know they they call the cytotoxic t cell is the one that that destroys the germ itself so the antibodies attach they because the antibodies the the cytotoxic cell is able to locate the germ and then it destroyed what happens is that we have memory cells that are left and they are able to know identify should should a strong troop again um they can identify much earlier and and and destroy before it causes in in any problems and that is how the immune system works right what usually happens with infections is that during it during that that infectious process some persons develop a very very severe immune reaction and that immune reaction is what can cause death sometimes so if if if if immune system can be alerted before you can avert this excessive reaction which can lead to destruction of of organs and systems and maybe even a person's life so there are more different ways to avoid covet 19 are limit they limit the the possibility of infection we are normally a new start there's personal hygiene processes barriers such as maths and gloves environmental factors ventilation physical distancing of course you know certain supplements may boost immune system and of course vaccination and just as with the um you know with us with those christian life we don't want to to come confine ourselves to to just one and the bible speaks about put on the old armor and this applies to the um to infection control as well now um what's the vaccine no if you go back to to do to the immune system you know diagram that we that i surely just know um immune system you know when god put um put man created man he created in his business image gave him intelligence and he told man to have dominion over over the earth and he put him in a garden to just a garden the garden was already perfect so what was man gonna do with this garden god gave me the intelligence to know what to do with the garden even though it was perfect no um the immune system is like a garden right and we are designed we are designed um to have that intellectual capacity to modify that guard that garden that god created he gave us that intelligence um so so we so vaccination is like a dressing for your immune systems adam just in the garden it's the same thing with the vaccines the vaccine was meant to stress the garden of our immune system so that it can look even better and function better um vaccinating the power part of all of a germ which can cause a safe immune reaction sometimes the germ itself if it gets to the immune system before the immune reaction may may be severe enough to cause harm so we want to avoid that and vaccines also protect against against the advanced complications of these infections and it's best given before the infection actually occurs now vaccines have been on for very long time some persons think as far back back as 280 so they're not neutral and this is a short history of vaccine development of course it's not the entire thing but just um you know a synopsis of it um so so vaccines they they alert the body about um you know um cells of about cells so that they can be prepared for it and um because of the production of the memory cells right the membrane cells and these membranes are able to identify and destroy the cells if they should come again sometimes before they come inside the body sometimes if they have come in they can actually destroy the the germ um they reduce electrical transmission and they they develop um they have to develop heard immunity and and herd immunity is when enough persons are in are immune to a germ to prevent infection from spreading different different germs at different levels necessary for example in measles 95 percent of persons have to be immune to immune to to in order to stop spreading in a population so different viruses have different ability to spread so the love is different and they have helped eradicate disease and may also help to prevent injury and death and let me just say first of all the kobe 19 vaccine does all of these things it does all of them and therefore it does um qualify as a vaccine um why is vaccine important because they they help to prevent injury and death and just give give some some examples um measles which which is you know something that we are quite familiar with um in terms of vaccination um 25 of president measles need hostilization and one to two per um persons per thousand die and we we we are quite accepting of news's vaccination it only kills one to two persons per thousand the fatality rate of influenza is zero point zero two percent and there is vaccination for that now corbin 19 um fourteen percent develop serious disease um six percent developed severe disease that have to be that have to be um treated in the hospital and one to three percent die and that is of course worse than mises and an influencer which which already um have vaccines have it before them so of course it would be a logical thing to if if it's amenable to a vaccination then vaccination would be a definite reasonable option now another thing that's important that 30 to 40 percent of persons are asymptomatic and um up to 60 it has been estimated at almost 60 percent of the spread um um of course with 90 or virus is persons without symptoms so you may have it and don't even know and you pass it on to somebody else right it also causes social isolation um both with infected and uninfected persons right loss of income again both in taking on unaffected persons lots of business and of course you know it's it's severely impacts the health health system is something right now as you have as you heard the doctor said um persons with other conditions are being squeezed out because um you know there are there are there are there's no space for them and some person with other conditions i recently you know this patient was telling me how or or husband um we went to the hospital for another reason got covered and died in the hospital because of colby 19. and that's what it was that's not what he went in for all right so these are things that are happening to persons right um no there are some persons who are hesitant to to to take the vaccination and this actually gives us a picture of those persons who are um is this incident and as you can see unfortunately and the persons who are more hesitant than the average um include us as blacks who are more hesitant and unfortunately healthcare workers so healthcare workers are more hesitant than the average to accept the vaccination and so why are some persons um hesitant they don't think the vaccine is safe and they are concerned about the side effects and they don't think it's dangerous and etc so there are various reasons why persons are hesitant no these are some of the effects that probably 19 can have on your body and these are medical language i'm just going to explain some of them it it they're cute kobe 19 in other words when you just when you have just gotten it during the the infection process the infectious process you may get strokes you can have damage to your blood vessels damage to your brain loss of smell and taste you may have a pneumonia can may cause abnormal heart freedoms damage to your heart right it can affect your blood protein it can either um cause it to bleed excessively or you make of clot excess clotting and this actually has killed some persons um not the infection itself but but the the clotting problems that may occur can damage your kidney that kills some persons as well damage your liver damage your muscles and what we call lung covid it can cause impact on your brain function you don't think that sharp you may have more changes anxiety and depression and chronic fatigue long-term shortness of breath chest pains and continued clotting issues continued kidney problems wasting other muscles weakness and so on so it may cause short or long-term problems right then this is something i want persons to remember the impact we can have on your body both in the short and long run um these are some of the examples of some of the types of vaccination there is the um the rna unboxing mrna vaccination which you know modern and fisa and um also um there is the the um they they once are made from the adenovirus um that includes mainly the astrazeneca and um and the johnson johnson then there are those um with the with the actual know what these what these these vaccines what what they do is is that um they they present the body with some material um that they can recognize and reactive that may trigger the production of the memory cells that we spoke about earlier right so the subunit vaccines it's actual proteins um in case of the adenovirus vaccines what they have done is that they they have used adrenal viruses that are not usually infectious they they neutralize them so that they can multiply inside the body but they will have the genetic material for the for the for the outer um protein of the virus and so that is produced by the body and then it's presented to the immune system so you can recognize it so it so if it comes across any germ with that marker on it with that protein on it it will destroy it the um the mrna vaccines they also have the instruction for the um for for the same protein and it goes into the cytoplasm it does not go into the dna right it doesn't go inside the nucleus there's nothing any person in a way this is one of the misconceptions that persons have that it goes into your nucleus it does not affect your dna in a way it just goes into the cytoplasm which is the outer part of the cell and the protein is made there and then presented to the immune system so it can be aware you also have um cyanopharm and cyanide which are weakened forms of the virus something similar to the measles vaccination using that same same technology um so that the immune system can react to react to it right um and this is basically what we just said the the mrna um vaccine triggers the production of the cells of the of the uh the proteins spike proteins and this sugar's the immune system all right so it doesn't affect your dna in any way often all right what's in the vaccine is an example you have water there is um the active ingredient adjuvants these these help to um stimulate your immune system and this usually is aluminum but it contains a small amount of of aluminum of an aluminium salt although they the the carbon 19 vaccines don't have in any aluminum in them right um and they also have stabilizers and and preservatives so that the vaccine can work um it can keep its active um abilities um during transportation so that when it gets into your body it can still work this is an example just i'm gonna show you all of them because some information is available on online if you want you're interested so this is just the assassinica says the wheat on adenovirus histidine um sodium dioxide and disorder meditate ethanol these are preservatives magnesium chloride um polysorbate example which is a lack of soap it's an emulsifier and then there's water so there's no secret about what's in the vaccines you can you can look it on online and you can see it's nothing strange unusual that are that in the vaccines in terms of vaccine development these are the phases of vaccination of the vaccine testing there's the the the the pre-pre-test process um which is the first part and there is the testing of the vaccine itself um the first phase as you can see phase one two and three phase one looks looks too to see if it's safe and that's usually in in terms of persons um so it's it's used to check to to make sure that the vaccines is safe to be used then phase two checks for the effectiveness of the vaccine and um so in that case what they do is when after they inject a vaccine they check after a particular period of time to see if there's an antibody reaction the immune system is reacting to the vaccine producing that that um that um that response is supposed to get and then phase three looks at usually thousands of persons usually about 40 000 persons and this has been done and um and that um shows that puts persons in real world situations now so you give it to random you know persons you have two set of persons and they give it to two different two they give one set of persons uh uh i would call up call call a placebo which is not a vaccine and give another set of the vaccine and then after a while you call them and you see um you compare the rate of infection of both persons to see if the vaccine made a difference and of course you know the results of that it's wide available and the vaccines were shown to reduce the chance of infection in those persons and then goes through the review process and that has been done and there are persons who are saying that vaccines have not been approved that is untrue the vaccines have been approved they got emergency usage um you know um approval and in terms of the fighter vaccine it got full approval so the vaccines have been tested and approved by appropriately trained and knowledgeable persons um who are looking out for your interests all right and we have a long history of vaccination use these are some of them um diphtheria measles and so on this vaccination is not a strange thing to us in jamaica at all we have a very high rate of vaccination here in jamaica so it's something that we should be proud of and comfortable with um and now many persons ask this one the number one question why always that the vaccines were able to be developed so quickly you know there are a number of reasons for that number one the platform that was used for the vaccines were not new right so they did not start from scratch other vaccines they may have need to start from scratch and that would have caused some time delay so did not have to start from scratch with the technology it was in use before even the issue of mrna it's not something it's not a new technology at all it has been around for some time um but it's being used it's being used here um the next thing that they were able to do to save time was to run phase one two and three simultaneously and that saved some time as well right so in times past would have run these these phases at different times so one after that so they run um sequentially but in this case they're on um simultaneously what what they did actually they started phase one first that's that's a safety part of it right to check to see the vaccination they did that part first before they started the other two so they started it first they started phase one and before phase one finished they started phase two and three right now what this does is cost amount of time needed to test the vaccine but it does not compromise seats because they said they checked if they run the safety part they started at first and then they started others um no this would not pose a problem to us it wouldn't pose a problem to the manufacturer because if at the end of for example phase one if they find that the vaccine was unsafe and they were already started the other phase would have cost them money and they found out that that it is unsafe from phase one even though they're probably gone well into phase one and three they would have to shut down the testing of the vaccine so they're the ones that would lose not us we've been for if i'm getting an early vaccine but um what they would not really lose the other very important one which which i want us to understand is this when they did an assessment of a past experience with the vaccines with vaccines not these vaccines previous vaccines what they realized was that the safety information the safety data could be obtained within the first few months you did not need three years to assess the safety of a vaccine right so they were able to identify that very very important um you know um you know experience that they had with past vaccines so they realized that they did not have to wait for three years you just had to wait for a few months because you did not have situations where a a serious complication will develop um three years later complications develop in the first three months and that is something that we have seen persons have experienced um side effects of the vaccination of you know which we'll speak about in a little bit so in terms of safety safety is not compromised by shortening the period of time there have been many incidents that we have done this in medicine where we have changed the protocols for a treatment based on past experience and they realize that certain things are not necessary so this is not anything new at all right so some persons sometimes ask how can the vaccine be safe if you have done it such a short time it's because it it because of past and um putting into an effect past experience with other vaccines that are able to to see that is safe however the shedding scheduling of the vaccine that is something that take it will take some time to have right and that is being done know that they're assessing the situation to see what is the best schedule for the vaccine if the current one is the best or if you need to modify it later but that's not as important as a safety it has been tested for state and effectiveness and it has passed those tests all right um this is um an example of the some of the the uh the the current vaccines and as you can see the the cost of the astrazeneca is one of the lowest which is one of the reasons why it is being used it's it's easier to store as you can see just regular fridge whereas the others require um very low temperatures and of course make me a bit of a challenge in our environment right as you can see the effectiveness and this is the initial information of course with delta these um these information this information about effectiveness will have gone down and we'll get in into that as well right um so this is how the the vaccines match up the the pfizer and the astrozonica match up um against the delta variant right as you can see um previously um you know one dose of the of the the um the the the pfizer without giving 45 percent protection two doses 93.7 percent um but with delta it has gone down um no to 88 percent and with the assassination one dose previously 48 percent and two doses 74 percent which has gone down to 30 and 67 respectively so there has been some reduction in the effectiveness against the variance um that's important to note or you can see this chart maybe difficult understand but i'll just explain what is what this means um the blue line here it represents the this is a experience from israel in the early days um with the vaccine um the the vaccinated group was in was on the blue line and they on the pink line is an unvaccinated group and you can see a difference here showing that there's a reduction in the rate of infection in persons who have gotten the vaccines and this is something i want us to understand this is a something which um is being said out there i want us to hear very very clearly that the vaccine does not just protect against hospitalization and complications and death it also protects against infection right you may have heard very prominent persons see that it does it may not protect you against infection recent research has shown however that the vaccine protects against actual infection so a person is vaccinated is less likely to be infected with with the virus than a person who is uninfected and i want us to remember that very very important it also protects against complications there are some persons who will still get because as you can see not a complete protection so for those persons who are what they call breakthrough infection there is a reduction in complications as a doctor um because said earlier those persons who are infected and are end up in hospital usually do better than those who are not vaccinated so the vaccine protects against infection and hospitalization and death and this and again there are many persons who say they are waiting um the last figures which is from yesterday showed that 5.6 4 billion doses of vaccines have been given so far right so for those who are say they are watching and waiting well 5.6 billion is a lot of doses right um in the u.s is three um 377 million and you can see the numbers there um in jamaica uh yesterday obtained it was a six about 606 000 doses um with um you know just 5.5 and we are one of the lowest rates in the carbon right now on the lowest rates in the carbon right now so we need to step apart our game here all right um this is the the dosage um father 21 to 42 days and so on let's spend too much time there these are some of the side effects um injection side pain fatigue muscle pains and so on so i'm usually not nothing really serious and some person may have more serious reactions like difficulty breathing and so on you know we are you know trying just trying to be open and clear these are some of the the the side effects so what about this old issue of clots right what about the solution of clots um so far what they have found is um in terms of the astrozenica vaccination um the the the chance of you getting a clot from from the from the astra zenica is about 14.9 um per 1 million persons right and it has an 18 fatality rate most persons who um who have have gotten it have been have been treated so and they also have heard about mrna vaccines causing myocarditis um the figure i saw yesterday this is not the most recent figure this was um i think a little earlier this year um 101 226 cases of 270 million doses of mrna vaccines so as you can see it's a relatively small number of persons another one guillain-barre 167 cases out of 14 million doses and deaths yes there are persons who have died and i won't i will not hide it there are persons who have died from getting after i shouldn't say from because of course in terms of making a connection this will have to be investigated but as you can see about 7 000 persons have died after getting vaccination out of 360. this is figures from the u.s by the way right no so yes there persons have died but we must compare this with the with the death rate of kobe 19 which is one to three percent right so um so we have to to to do a comparison to see that um you see what what i tell my patients is this you know let us say you this quote with 19 is a dangerous road and there are two rules that we can take we can take the vaccine road or we can take the unvaccinated road right we in each case you're basically choosing the virus when you choose undocumented roots you're choosing a virus so inside a vaccine or virus the virus you could say um this is a road with 10 gunmen and and the and the the vaccine would might have one right we're not saying to you that the vaccine cannot hurt you not saying that to you but we're saying just that driving can can hurt you just like wearing a seat belt can hurt you just like eating can hurt you and drinking can hurt you exercise can hurt you every medical intervention can hurt you right if you look at aspin here um one fifteen point seven um oh first fifteen percent three percent sold out of a thousand would have one hundred thousand persons die from aspirin use which is sold over the counter which is a much much lower rate right and and one thread that is added to lulu's aspen so we can see when you compare that the vaccine route is a much much safer route than the um than the various route which is what as i said that was explained to you earlier so it's not that um persons will not be hurt yes some will unfortunately but it's a matter of what is the best decision to take in a difficult situation now in terms of life saved it has been estimated that a hundred and thirty nine thousand persons have been saved in the u.s and inject and in jamaica that's during the first five months of vaccination in jamaica here it has been estimated that 125 persons lives have been seen in jamaica so the vaccine is saving lives right here in our lovely island of jamaica all right um now um this is another comparison looking at um you know um the infection versus vaccine if you look at kidney injury there's a reduction in kidney injury um in persons who have been vaccinated i could also look at um the abnormal heart rhythms as you can see i have 160 this is person's presence in red are the persons who who have gotten the virus whereas persons who have been vaccinated is a there's a lower risk deep vein thrombosis and this is very very important persons who have been vaccinated have a lower risk of of a reduction in the risk of clots farming and this is this is um something that a lot of persons do not understand there is not an increase in risk when you get get vaccines there's a reduction it's just that there's a particular rare type that is more common but overall there is a reduction in the risk of of clots forming in persons who have been vaccinated very very important force remember that also um heart damage as you can see persons who have been infected by the virus there is a significant higher risk of getting heart damage from from the from from from the infection than from and from downtown the virus so there is a significant reduction in risk to our health in persons who are um who are or vaccinated right um persons who are at risk for um you know risky populations persons with life-threatening allergies we don't administer vaccines to those prince or persons who are but a reaction to another vaccines are not recommended to continue their course pregnant women um if they're in a higher risk um situation harvest job then they are recommended to have vaccination if they are not they may not be but um but the the most popular vaccines the fisa the astaxanica they are expected to be safe as a zenica especially can has been has been um permitted in pregnant persons it is the live vaccines that are not recommended such as nmr and there are some there are some corporate vaccines that are um live vaccines right so those would not be suitable for pregnant women all right i just want to speak briefly about the um the anti-vaccination movement right now um you have to get a little history on this one to keep it sharp but the anti-vaccination movement have been known for a very long time and they are against vaccination and they um they don't it's not that they have an eccentric reason it's a personal choice but what has happened happening up late is that these persons um have been sitting down and they have been making up negative stories about the virus and let me just give us some of them like the vaccine change their dna that is false that the vaccine causes infertility that is false how would they know that the vaccine is called causes in infertility the vaccine has not even been around long enough to us to assess that so that is made up information let's say the vaccines have not been approved that is also on that's also one show vaccines are experimental that's also false inflammation they will lead to um to you getting the mark of the beast that is also false and they will win your immune system that is also false information and that's how these presence operates they don't like vaccination and they they're quite prepared to make up a story about it so as to discourage you and i want for us to understand that um that you know i know it is not my belief that if you are if you want to spread a message it is okay for you to tell a lie to spread that message that cannot come from god right god encourages us to speak the truth and there many persons out there saying that bill gates the disadvantaged that i'm sure none of us heard bill gates saying that those things some person for example said bill gates want to depopulate the earth what bill gates said was that he wants to help families to maintain to to to keep their numbers smaller so that they are being able to support their families and get jobs so he encourages persons to um he has facilitated the usage of contraceptive so as to help their host families to be able to support themselves and so on persons have been twisting his words so yes you would have said that the worst population is is too it's too much which is true we are all stripping our resources but then there's they went on to add to that no that he said it's going to be popular nothing like that like that has has been said but i was passing these messages they are false messages and we should not align ourselves to persons who use deception to um to to spread their message that's not of god right no they say vaccines can cause injury and death that is true drinking water can cause injury and death too exercise can cause injury and death jared can cause engineers everything in life can cause injury and death so so to say that something can cause ingenuine death it's not really information that is new the first autopsy that i witnessed was a young lady who died from from antibiotic use so medications calculating which under surgical causing gender yes it's a matter of comparing risk and benefits right it's important to know another important thing i want us to remember is that there are a lot of counterfeit messages out there a lot of false information if if if you go to a bank right if you if you somebody give us some money and you take it to the bank to lodge and and and they and the the bank teller tells you that this money is counterfeit you're not gonna question what the person is saying right because that person has been trained to know what a counterfeit um dollar looks like right now it's the same thing with us as doctors right we know what a counterfeit message is right we can advise based on our training what message is a counterfeit average person says some very interesting things that that they don't trust us as doctors and that is very very interesting right um but that is their choice um as i said we are in health care we have been trained the same um i the knowledge that i use is information that i got during medical school i started medical school back in 1993 right so it's long before kovid right it's the same information that i used to treat my patients know and advise them right there's nothing new and it has served me well serve my clients well and um and i'm sure it will continue to do so so let us be careful about these messages um these persons who are spending messages um they are not coming from a good place and their intention is not pure some of them do this thing as a business they're not looking out for your interest right it's my own experience my vaccination i just want to understand also that ellen white herself was vaccinated and she encouraged others around her to do the same so um so so for those persons who say that if they're gonna fight an ill and white ellen white got vaccinated and encouraged so if you want to follow example do what she did so i hope that this information has been useful for you and that you will share it with those who you have opportunity to do so with and now open the floor to questions thank you dr street um brother um will be assisting us with some of the questions from the chat brother and boy you're up go ahead quickly thank you well thank you for the presentation doctor street uh sister morgan you've been morgan she asks what about the people that has underlying issues what uh that cannot be vaccinated what will what can they do to helping um boost the immune system that's a very extreme question um no the only underlying issue where we don't recommend vaccination is is um persons with life-threatening allergies when you say a lifetime mean person so i've actually been have to be admitted hospital because of because of an allergy um no i just want to help us to understand something um the the virus causes death by triggering an uh inflammatory response inside the body inflammation and that inflammation causes clotting and cause damage to to your lungs to your heart and to your kidney persons who have chronic illnesses like hypertensives diabetics arthritis heart disease strokes they already have a high level of inflammation inside their body when you add virus to that then they're more likely to be hurt by the inflammation than a person who doesn't have those illnesses so in other words persons who have underlying issues are more in need of vaccination than a person who doesn't have it so um so those persons should be at the head of the line which is what they did they encouraged persons over 60 to the head of the line to get vaccinated first because they needed it more so those are the on so the only persons who are not recommended by the person with life technologies other persons they should get it first all right thank you i hope we're taking notes and we're listening our members let me just let me just add one more thing um no there are many persons who speak about the health message what about the health message the emphasis is very very important and we spoke with that in the in the early part of this slide we're not saying health message or vaccination we are saying health message plus vaccination i also want to say this a vaccination is not a drug right it's not a drug right um it is it is a method of enhancing the immune system and it is natural it is not artificial right it's a natural way of enhancing your immune system it's not a drug so it is quite safe to use we are quite comfortable taking taking vitamins which are man-made right um so and vitamins can hurt you too there are some vitamins that can poison you right so we should not say that that a vaccine is is money it is something that acid is just it's just a way that we are enhancing immune system and it's a natural way we have been given the intelligence to to stimulate immune system you you using these these things that are made naturally because your body actually makes it in in some cases so that you can be protected so we shouldn't fear it because that's what we don't fear taking um taking vitamins all right let me jump in on a question here from our family panel someone is asking how long after having the kobe you know how long after should can someone take the vaccine who's had clothing and someone is also asking for a little bit more information about if you're pregnant how to proceed those are two questions from our family panel on the inside excellent questions um the pregnancy issue is kind of tricky um because part of the reason is because of the increased transmissibility of this particular strain no pregnant persons pregnancy increases inflammation inside the body as well right pregnancy increases inflammation inside the body as well so pregnant persons are at an increased risk of complications of kobe 19. right and i and i've heard of pregnant when i've died leaving their babies right um so so so so so that's not the reason not not to not to get vaccinated but what we say is that if you're definitely if you are working as a receptionist working in a doctor's office working with interactive persons face-to-face and you're pregnant definitely we'd want to encourage those persons to be vaccinated as well the vaccination is isn't the astrozenical vaccine in the physical vaccine they are not live vaccines they are they are safe to be used in pregnancy so we should not have any fear about getting vaccination during pregnancy and if you have had the covey how soon after can you proceed to have um your vaccination and answer while you're at it can you have cobra the second time and answer while you're at it if you've had kobe do you really need to be vaccinated because processes oh you know have natural antibodies wrote the three in one quick defense excellent question i i'll answer the question with a story i had a patient um a young patient about 25 years old earlier this year she tested positive um she didn't have much symptoms and she was under the understanding that she could she should wait three six months before she got vaccinated and she called me um this week tuesday time that she was infected again all right um this time having more symptoms than the last time so natural immunity does not is not a guarantee the recommendation is that if you are if you are if you have not been infected if you are unvaccinated pre-infected another fragrant infection the best option for you is to get vaccinated if you have been infected in copen 19 the best option for you is still to get vaccinated right but you recommendations you wait three months the reason for that is um the the vaccine the protection that the vaccine gives you reduces o over time and what has happened is that the delta variant the delta variant actually um causes a thousand times more viruses to to be produced in your body than the previous train 1 000 times right and that is why there are some persons who um you know so many persons are being affected know right it's much more much more transmissible right so you should wait three months after you've been infected to ensure that no just want to explain about israel experience while i'm on this there's some person to look at israel and say how is it that so many persons in israel god got infected the reason is israel started their vaccination program from very early as you remember what has happened is that because the delta variant being more transmissible effectiveness of the vaccine has gone down so the persons who got vaccinated earlier they are the ones who are being infected the ones who have been more recently vaccinated let's say about april the vaccination um protection still is maintained at a high level but for example those persons who got in early like january and also december they are the ones who are becoming infected now that is why they have having this question about getting a booster right getting the booster will bring back up your levels even higher than they were before even before even our got those two shots so that is why the boost of this question has actually started and that is something i wanted to get clear israel is an example of why boosters are important excellent thank you we'll take another question from brother hamoi and pastor um douglas also with monitoring right um so that's a different type of technology and then there are some vaccines that use a piece of the virus such as the diphtheria and tetanus vaccines use a piece of a germ and um on the divisor the moderna the assassinica use a similar and also the the the um the nunova facts those use a piece or they give it mrna so that's the difference between a live vaccine and um so it's a it's the actual vaccine virus you're getting both in a form that will not cause infection thank you dr douglas thank you dr um street a viewer's accent an elderly she took the vaccine and the seven hours after she had anxiety um it increased and it was very very bad to see medical attention and now she's afraid of taking the second dose what advice would you give to that person and is anxiety linked to the vaccine well i um i have seen that i've seen parents persons um who seem to have anxiety um symptoms afterwards um we you know i want us to understand something um um illnesses are caused by inflammation diabetes anxiety arthritis they're all caused by inflammation right now let us understand if the vaccine triggers an inflammatory reaction inside the body right it does that that's how it works the stimulus immune system once it sugar's immune system inflammation is produced but the process of inflammation that is what helps to form the um the the the the memory cells that are at are important so that's why some persons may get fever they may get joint pains and a lot of appetite in large lymph nodes those are all part of the inflammatory reaction now anxiety as i said anxieties symptoms are also caused by excessive inflammation inside the body so it is not unusual to understand that our inflammatory reaction triggered by the vaccine can sugar um your anxiety symptoms especially if you had a predisposition to have anxiety symptoms before it may cause that but however remember it is a small price to pay for to save your life remember we spoke about the the effects the the short and long term implications of kobe 19. as i said to you we're not promising anybody that you will not have negative effects but what we're saying is a small price to pay for saving your life saving your job because of course you may you mean you might be able to work afterwards you may you may survive but it may affect your brain such as your prove it 19 not so easily and um there's a thing we we learned in pharmacist school back in the days risk versus benefits ratio so every time a physician considers a modality here she will have to ask the question if i give you this what may happen but if i don't give you this what will happen and it even reminds me of my earlier story with that surgery if i have this surgery this may but if i did not this shall happen and so there's always that risk versus questions being asked or answered one person to understand um no the reason why um the children between the age of 12 and 18 are being vaccinated because they number one they they can get sick and die from kobe 19. the other the other reason is that they can pass it on to persons who have not been have not been vaccinated sometimes these include their elderly persons now as an example um the rubella vaccination nmr rubella does not have a serious effect on men it is more dangerous for pregnant women if you notice that both men and women are beginning to rule better vaccination because we want to ensure that we lock all the the doors the available doors for infection so and also um you know um men are also encouraged to even get the the the um the the hpv vaccination because by protecting the men you're protecting your protected women so it has been encouraged to everyone so that everybody is protected because you don't know what kind of effect you're going to have not just of the children of israel having passed through the red sea and they came up to the wilderness area called mara and so they they came through um water which which could which could actually drown them and they went to an area which was a wilderness there was no there was available water that the water was bitter they cried out to god music made made me made a call god told moses to use a tree put it into the water to make the water sweet right god and he and if you read the passage i want us to read it it's exodus 15 verse 22 to 26 read it for yourself god used that to test their obedience right he used the the experience to test their obedience he did not do it directly he he spoke to moses moses did not do it directly he used a stick a tree to put into the water and that was a test of obedience right that was a test of obedience that was a that was a test of faith right no if they did not follow god's instructions that would not have happened right so god used a human being which you could say the human being moses represented a doctor and the doctor used a stick which couldn't which could be a medication and that was a test of faith so using traditional medical interventions is not a uh it's not it's not a denial of faith as a matter of fact when we decide to ourselves that we are we're just going to use one thing that god offers us what we are doing where we are demonstrating um a lack of faith in god because faith is allowing god to dictate how we are guided and god does not always tell us directly when p when he wanted to send peter to cornelius he used a sheet with unclean animals peter got the message he did not tell peter to go and go to cornelius he used uh use an alternative way to give the message god gives intelligence he also stop dominion over doctor street i even remember my own situation i thought god would have to work in a particular way and i was determined that he would work in a particular way and there were all all the other modalities that were were available all came from him all god is a diverse god and we know that in food and medicine in in animals and plants there's so many diversities as priorities and personalities and our interests and we must never believe that god can only work in when we are not where that we are and also all of us as babies we would have been immunized we all got our pentaville in modern times polio back in the 80s and the 90s you know mmr these were just all part of what was considered to be protocols in preserving health because we have had the benefit of seeing what cholera did would have had the benefit of cinnamon powder they would have had the benefit of seeing so many diseases wiped out millions after the world wars and in different parts and times of recorded in luke 19 verses 1 to 8. it is about a man called zacchaeus let's do a little background check on him geographical location jericho ethno religious group jew occupation wealthy custom officer professional goal as chief among publicans and the tested by a countryman has skills in injustice and is an expert at extortion future aspiration beneath the appearance of wilderness and pride is a heart susceptible to divine influences the bible says that zacchaeus heard that jesus was in jericho and he longed for a better life he wanted to see who jesus was but there was a crowd and he was of short statue so he ran ahead of the crowd and climbed into the sycamore tree talk about physical distancing the meeting was mutual as jesus wanted to see zacchaeus too he told him to make his and get down the tree as he was going to his house sakios received jesus joyfully as he knew he would be covered with ppe positive powerful encouragement regardless of what people were saying about him or that jesus was going to eat with a sinner zakios was getting his soul sanitized in the desire of ages page 555 helen g white said before zacchaeus looked upon the face of christ he had begun the word that made a manifest as a true penitent he was embracing change and others could see as a matter of fact look at verse 8 it says zacchaeus said look lord i give half of my goods to the poor and if i had taken anything from anyone by false accusation i restore it fourfold embracing change to go and share jesus will require conviction like zacchaeus am i willing to be available for the change god wants me to embrace how can i use my health as a weakness yield to the influence of the holy spirit then he cast aside every practices contrary to his integrity no repentance is genuine she continues that does not work repentance some of us are aware of lifestyle practices that need to be cast aside some have health conditions that are not being managed yes the body temple was bought with a price by christ's own blood zacchaeus knew he needed jesus and did all in his power to see him are you seeking jesus running ahead in your exercise program and climbing the temperance tree or are you still in the crowd to embrace change one must be willing to take reformation and the transformation that jesus offers success declares half of my goods to the poor what about reducing the amount of food being consumed half of which could feed the poor what about half of the time sitting doing nothing half an exercise what do i need to restore that i might have taken falsely somber's reputation or have i beaten up somebody's self-esteem or refused to forgive i no matter my shortcomings i do not have to climb up my struggles without jesus he wants to come to my house today could that be possible without major rearrangement of what's in the fridge of my heart you know sometimes i hold things about people cold storage not wanting to forgive or my cupboard of intemperance or the magazine iraq filled with comparison of being too fat too short too thin not good enough the good news is jesus is already at my house will you make haste and let him in your house i want to be restored six-fold spiritually mentally socially emotionally physically and electronically is there a zacchaeus who will say look lord i will embrace the change and go god bless you amen amen amen sister dion henry could you be kind to open your camera in your mind and just give us that that blessing we seek as we arrive at the end of this program let us pray heavenly father thank you so much
