ELECTRIC Dirt Bike DEBUT at Red Bull Straight Rhythm

Ultimo ters is an electric vehicle technology company based in San Francisco California we spent about four years developing what is the most advanced powertrain technology in transportation today and we've decided to put it into the most brutal and demanding format we can imagine to prove the level of performance that this technology is capable so that format is redbull straight rhythm this is the first pro level competition that we've put the bike into I really don't know what's making this bike so good it's completely foreign to me I leave that up to these guys there must be something to it because every time I have something to critique on it I come back a month later and they've got a solution just keeps getting better we'll see where we stack up against the 215 since I got the call to do this kind of try to get back on a little bit of a program I wanted a little race in Sweden just to kind of stay fresh goal today is to make sure I get into the final I got a few guys to qualify in the top eight and then once we're in there make it as far as we can we're here racing I still got a little bit of skill so I should be able to get in the mix with the guys but this is more of just like get some good exposure on this new bike and a good testing day to see where it stacks up against the other body [Music] I still holds back a little bit just to lay down on a fast time so they'll be like you're watching all the life and we were out of space on the clickers so we have to make a change they can see the back just a little nerve-racking hitting like rhythms for the first time there's a sexually triple triple triple and they have the triple onto a tabletop and step off it's kind of like I haven't really hit any type of jump like that on this bike so it's kind of scary doing something at that size for the first time for this thing but we did it twice everything worked out Josh looks great hitting his marks and he's putting together the hard features out there they did it'll take to be my big brother I've always been prouder than when he told me about the whole electric by saying I was like I don't know dude I'm stuck in the cities and I like muscle cars so tell me more about it more about it then they started riding mountain bike trails and riding it where dirt bikes can't go like that kind of caught my attention when he finally was alright we're racing the damn thing I was like [Music] I was more nervous before the qualifying cuz getting into this was the goal and I didn't want to make the company everybody look dumb you know I'm I think that's a great jump forward and let's go do our best [Music] tough to beat Cunningham a man I feel like really just lay down the perfect route stop the lay down perfect roads to get through him and move on so he was on the gas he was really close [Music] have a slide [Applause] in the [Music] and you can see four is actually quicker online [Music] Samson [Applause] [Music] [Applause] graduation joshie oh you just made history oh man a little bit nice like amped up you know good stuff riding strong but there's no substitute being on a gay just laying it all out there you know Josh Hill just exceeded all our greatest hopes and dreams I mean he put us into the three run race that was a huge moment for Alta and the whole team now we're just I mean we're focused on getting ready for the next round racing so here it is Josh Hill in the semifinals is actually able to defeat and eliminate at gas powers machine on that electric yet electric number 75 side by side and now the fans get a look at this [Applause] the motors can certainly be proud [Music] he's eliminated but you gotta feel that this is the first of many great moments for this motorcycle six years of work just paid off we just entered our first professional motocross race Supercross event redbull straight rhythm we made it to the final floor it's exceeded our expectation really really thought making the night show was about all we could expect especially this being our first race Josh and delivered the bikes working great I'm a realist that I have high expectations so you know I know this this is this is hard work that we're doing and we're you know we're going up against people that have a lot more experience and we've got a great product and a great team and I think that you know this is really just the beginning you

I was more surprised by the guy wearing Monster sponsored clothes in a Red Bull sponsored clip!

I checked out their website and the bike looks really cool but their torque numbers are a bit... misleading... They claim the bike has 120 FT-LBS of torque but they don't says where that torque is measured... My guess would be that they measured it at the countershaft because of the gear reduction to "inflate" the number a bit, which would put the usable number somewhere around 35 which is still good. Either way it looks like a cool bike, power seems to edge out the KTM Freeride E a bit too.
