Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
My friend recently purchased a tube amp in a publix parking lot. He gave it to me to sell on eBay, and after researching it I told him of the unfortunate truth. The so called tubes were actually lit up with Christmas bulbs and it had plates of metal inside to increase the weight. I laughed on the way to the trash. Lol
I had a coworker buy a 5.1 setup from the back of a van. The satellites had tiny paper cones and literally weighed an ounce or two. The subwoofer had a bag of sand in it. He was pretty embarrassed when we broke the news.
Entertaining but I couldn't take his excitement. It was painful.
You have to love how "Marc Vincent" didn't even use the same font for the two places the logo is printed on the front panel.
this is an awful video. lots of the criticism is just sarcasm and "ha ha look at that". it really doesn't explain much unless you already know enough to not need to watch it anyway.
there are reasons why this stuff sucks, and they are more than "ha ha".
if you understand the details, fine. if you are happy to follow along and trust the guy, fine. but for someone who is sceptical, but doesn't know the technical background, i think this could come across as bullshit.
