if you're getting stuttering in games like valerent which this tutorial is focusing on this video will show you how to fix the majority of stuttering on Windows 10 and especially 11 the first fix is probably going to work for you but I'll go through a few more that should assist so first of all hit start type in graphics and open Graphics settings this will take us to system display graphics in here you should see an option at the very top otherwise click change default graphic settings and we should see options here what we're looking for is Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling while you may think this improves latency and performance it can cause stuttering in a lot of games especially valerent sometimes Counterstrike and probably even more turning this off you'll need to reboot your PC and stuttering should be pretty much gone that's really it it's probably worked for you if this option was on so pleasure otherwise if it doesn't there's a few other fixes obviously update your graphics driver if you haven't already and should you wish when you're installing your graphics driver make sure you have the clean re install option selected that way it wipes whatever settings you have that could be corrupt or wrong and replaces them with stock settings you can of course customize them afterwards it's usually a good idea to try that as a fix if things are going wrong something else I've heard of pretty often is disabling fullscreen optimizations for valerent simply search for valerent on your start menu right click and choose open file location if it takes you to the shortcut right click this and once again open V location now we should be in the riot games folder this isn't where we want to be instead navigate back and more than likely you'll have valerant here then open Live and you should find valorant.exe right click this choose properties then on the compatibility tab tick disable fulls screen optimizations apply and okay then we'll open the shooter game folder followed by binaries win64 and scrolling down here we should find valerant shipping Once Again Properties compatibility disable full screen optimizations apply okay and it should be improved even further if you're on a PC with multiple graphics cards especially an integrated graphics card will hit start type in graphics and once again open Graphics settings inside of here we'll scroll down on this list and you should find valerant select it choose options and then choose high performance click save now if you're playing valerant on a laptop things should have immediately improved if it was for some reason opening or running on the wrong GPU a few laptops especially older ones have a certain issue where if you're playing a game on the built-in display you won't get as good performance as you do when you're using an external display so if that option is available to you and you're not currently using it give it a shot then our power plan hold start and press R then inside of here type in power CFG do CPL hit enter and inside of the control panel hardware and sound power options menu we'll look for these options here you should have ultimate performance selected if you have it otherwise choose high performance and if you have something like Intel or AMD high performance you should absolutely select that instead perfect if you're running on much lower-end Hardware customizing our game options can help hold start and press R inside of here type in percentage Local app data percentage and hit enter then we'll navigate across to valerant by simply hitting V to jump straight to it open it then saved config followed by a group of pretty much randomized numbers and inside of here we should find window window and game user settings.ini your folder name will probably be different so you're just looking for the long randomized name looking one simply opening it with notepad we'll scroll down until we find scalability groups you'll find resolution quality what you should do is change this from 100 to 75 save and close this file finally we can do some minor in-game optimization in valerant at this point you've probably already followed a guide to optimize for FPS and usually on Lower in systems you'll be lowering absolutely everything I totally agree with that the lower your settings are in Game the better your FPS will be but there's a few settings to keep note of in particular heading across to settings settings then General scrolling down to the other section you'll find a few options here including show composes and blood having these options on is usually a competitive Advantage but you can turn off blood for a minor stutter fix then further down bullet traces few people recommend turning this off would highly recommend against it this will definitely give you the Competitive Edge and is absolutely worth losing a few FPS don't turn this off then on the video settings tab obviously you'll want to lower pretty much as many settings in graphics quality as possible multi-threaded rendering usually results in better performance when it's on but that may be different for your CPU instead pretty much everything here should be lowered to give you better performance and that's really it so hopefully this video helped you thank you all for watching M's been troubleshoot and I'll see you all next time ciao
