[Music] hey y'all welcome today i'm going to show you guys how to make an easy but extremely delicious oven shrimp boil let's go ahead and get cooking i'm going to start by going over these ingredients and i have one pound of jumbo shrimp that has been de-shelled and deveined but i have left the tail on you know the cuteness okay i also have some salt free cajun seasoning i actually make this seasoning in large batches and i'll put in the description box how i do it but i use this a lot in my cooking okay of course we have some old bay and if you ain't put on been put on to this guys this is some dry ranch mix all right this is some corn that is frozen and i allowed it to thaw out overnight and then you can also put a little water on it to help it unthaw this is two lemons and some potatoes red skin potatoes would also work well in this recipe this is one polish sausage typically and dooley sausage is used but poli sausage is just fine and some shrimp boil i have one stick of melted butter y'all know i love some butter up in here okay and i got some salt free lemon pepper some parsley you know just be cute okay and some garlic of course we're going to salt the taste in this recipe if you like spice you could also throw in a little bit more cayenne pepper to start out i'm going to try to cut this corn in half and y'all i was rocking this corn and working this corn like y'all had to get my arm muscles up now this editing that made it look easy but honey i was fighting with this corn now ideally i actually wanted to cut the pieces into fourths but after i took all that time cutting in half okay i was not about to fight it and cut it in fourth so this is just fine all right we then going to cut our sausage at an angle i like cutting it at an angle because i think it gets a little more surface area for the seasoning to attach to we're going to set that aside and work on our potatoes i've already cleaned the skin of these potatoes however since i am going to leave the skin on one tip for you is to actually rub your potatoes together under the water as you clean them it will actually help the skin become cleaner and i know everyone doesn't have those little vegetable brushes so that's just a nice little you know kitchen hat for you guys the size you choose for your potatoes depends on whatever you like i'm gonna cut my potatoes into four something about this size now first we're going to work on the water we're gonna parboil those potatoes and i'm putting in a capful of that shrimp boil if you like yours really spicy i would put in two capsules of course i'm going in with some of that old bay and then i'm going to go in with a little bit of salt because you know the water has to be really well seasoned and some garlic then you need to let this water come up to a strong boil and then i'm going to put in my potatoes now these potatoes can't cook all the way in the oven with the shrimp so you have to parboil them for about five minutes and then after five minutes put in your corn you want this potatoes to be tender but not falling apart alternatively you can also cook the potatoes in the microwave for about 10 minutes but i really just prefer to parboil okay now i have some foil because these are foil packets and y'all i know we all like to use that dollar tree foil but you gonna be out of jar i don't think the dollar tree foil really works for this okay because then i find that the packet rips apart early and i got all i'm losing all the butter i'm losing all the flavor and i just don't like that so i am using a heavy duty foil okay for this to make sure that everything stays together well and does not rip especially since i'm putting so much in it now after i put on my corn my sausage and my shrimp of course i got to go in with that liquid gold that butter and i'm gonna put on some of this dry ranch mix next i'm going to add some of the salt free cajun seasoning guys it doesn't have any salt in it so be super generous with it okay you can use as much as you want of course lemon complements seafood very well so lemon pepper is an excellent choice and then i'm gonna go in with my old bank y'all know up in the bay they know they got that flavor right so we got to be generous with that old bay i got that parsley on just to make it cute you know let them know we did some up in here and then i'm gonna go in that garlic powder and salt to taste okay especially those taters y'all know taters take a lot of seasoning to have the taste good so i would actually concentrate some extra seasoning on the potatoes because the potatoes generally need help all right once we have the seasoning mixed on well we're then going to tightly wrap up this packet we want this to steam in the oven um while it's cooking so you want to make sure there are no gaps now i'm going to show you guys one more time how i put all of this together really quickly you should be generous with these packets guys this ain't the seafood restaurant where they're trying to skip and shrimp okay add a lot of meat to your stuff also one another reason why i like doing the package is because you can concentrate the seasoning as opposed to just letting all the flavor fall out in the water if you just if you just do the seafood boil now guys if you are enjoying this content up to now please go ahead and give me a like because it really helps me get my recipes out to more people and honey y'all know this food look good okay so y'all know we gotta have more people looking at these recipes you can't keep me all to yourself honey okay now once this has been all seasoned up of course i'm gonna wrap this up and put this on the tray in total i actually made four generous size packets with this recipe okay you can do smaller but don't do smaller just for your family let them eat up okay now i'm going to put this in a 425 degree oven for 25 minutes and then i'm going to check on it at this point no my shrimp is not rubbery it is not overcooked okay um that's why i use that jumbo or you can use a colossal shrimp i don't suggest um like a medium sized shrimp for this i do think they will get rubbery in the oven now at this point you want to test out the potatoes with the fork and see if they are tender or not at this point mine was tender but pale okay i don't want pale so i broiled it for about two to three minutes so i can get that nice color y'all see that char right that's what we want guys that char gives it some flavor flavor makes me happy okay now we got a stream a river of butter coming down on there y'all know that butter just goes on everything we want a nice little you know milky flavorful spicy butter collected at the bottom of this foil packet so go ahead and drizzle on a little bit more okay let them know that you was thinking about it make it all juicy up in there now once you have your butter on add on your lemon wedges right that was the lemons from before so that people can just you know add a little burst of citrus flavor to their seafood and guys you have yourself now an amazing easy oven shrimp boil this does not take long at all if you enjoyed this please go ahead
