[Music] hey guys so today's video is going to be a little different we are in my bathroom today and we're going to be doing a hair tutorial review this is going to be a video all about the Revlon one-step blow-dryer I'm super excited to try this I am a hair stylist that drive are I do blowouts for a living but I hate doing my own hair so this thing works and I makes it so much easier to do my own hair I'm gonna be so happy and I'm gonna be showing you guys it's the best way to blow your hair out with this the reason that I wanted to not just review this but kind of do a little tutorial is because I Drybar we're obviously trained to use our drive our blow-dryer this is just a sparkling one it normally at yellow we're trained on all their products and all their tools the fastest easiest most efficient way to blow out the hair to keep the style lasting super super long I just wanted to make a few disclaimers though obviously this is not a magic wand it doesn't happen in two seconds you're still gonna have to blow out your hair so you don't want to go in with Sophie white hair my hair has been air drying for about 30 to 45 minutes now so this is like the perfect dampness to blow your hair out with either the blow-dryer and a brush or the one-step will dry my disclaimer for girls with curly hair this is not going to smooth out your hair I'm sorry if you have super super curly hair this may be great to just blow it out quick but you're still gonna have to go on with the flat iron or a straightening brush to smooth it out this is simply just to blow it out and give it some body and get it dry it's not to make your hair super sleek smooth if you have super super curly or textured hair my hair is naturally wavy and it's super super thick so I'm also gonna be telling you guys how long it takes me to do my hair hopefully doesn't take me too long cuz I have to leave for work soon when my hair is dry it usually only takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to curl or style it I can't even tell you how long it takes to blow-dry it because I really don't blow-dry it I would say about the same amount of time and then if I curl it afterwards that would be forty minutes which drive our blowouts are 45 minutes long that's what you're booked for unless you have curly hair or longer hair they tend to book you for longer if you let them know so I'm just gonna be doing a basic bouncy blowout today I'm gonna be showing you guys the products I'm using as well as I'm gonna be putting my hair up this is just a brand new pack of Drybar high-top rollers to give myself some body and volume up top I am going out tonight so I want to get as much volume now as possible so it lasts me until later this is the Amiga The Wizard decent wearing primer and I swear by this stuff this is the one and only argan oil Moroccan oil treatment you literally only need like the tiniest bit like just let it drop out and I'm only putting this from the ponytail down my hair I haven't gotten I colored in a while so it's really really dark up top don't mind me I'm gonna shed this whole entire video that's normal my hair gets super super oily so I try not to put any products directly up top except for like a volumizer because we don't want to make our hair any oil and then it's naturally going to get and then I'm just gonna be putting in a little bit of mousse it expands so you don't have to put too much put it in your hands again ponytail down and right up top where you want the most volume this is a volumizing mousse so it is going to help hold and give you volume and body and I like this because the scent is not too overpowering also all of these products smell amazing so that's always a plus and I don't know what the brand of this brush is but I got it at Ulta it is plastic bristles and boar bristles so I'm just gonna be brushing my hair out I'm gonna do a middle part it's not as damaging to the hair and it makes it so easy to brush through any not [Music] so right here I have some silver clips and two regular clips and what I'm going to do sorry I keep looking in the viewfinder what I'm going to do is make a mohawk section in the middle of my head and that's where we're going to be placing the rollers for maximum volume on top split each side in two this is not how we section the driver Bob but this is what I thought would be the easiest way to section when I'm doing it with the brush I'm just going to take out two big rollers so your settings are down here at the bottom you have off cool low and high cool shot is great but I'm probably not going to be doing that today that's just if you want to give your hair a cool shot afterwards to hold the curl I'm going to put all the way to hide [Music] [Music] [Music] so already you can tell but I got a lot of volume from that but to set and to cool down I'm gonna put it in the rollers [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so I just put two rollers up top and I'm taking a silver clip and clipping them together that way they don't move around one thing I will say is the end of my hair I've just got a hair cut along both at the ends of my hair are still pretty damaged so this isn't going to obviously smooth out your ends as well as a brush will you just kind of have to work the ends a little bit more than you normally would if you're trying to smooth it out I look crazy right now so far so good I'm loving it and it's only been 5 minutes and I finished one section so I'm hoping it doesn't take too much longer for the rest of the sections I will say it will take you longer if you try to take bigger sections you're going to work more efficiently and be able to dry the hair a lot easier if you take smaller sections I don't have to be too tiny but the more hair you take the longer it's going to take to dry that section so if you keep taking smaller sections it's going to be a lot easier for you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so far it's doing a great job of drawing and smoothing everything out like it really is if you wanted more of a brush curl I would stay going with the brush and blow dryer or if you have the time and patience you could totally just go in and pin curl all of these as you go but I think it's really nice and bouncy and smooth and dry and that's the most important thing [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right so normally this part of the how this thing does get hot which is awesome normally this part of the dry bar blah we will cool shot everything which I didn't do because I don't have time but there is a cool setting like I said before so if you wanted you could use the hot keep it on switch it's a cool wait a couple seconds and take it off so I'm just gonna go grab some product and I'm going to take this down so I'm just going to be taking some driver triple sec and spraying it on the hair that we have in the rollers and a little bit underneath on the sides and back this is this is a three-in-one texturizing spray so it's going to give you texture and volume as well as help it hold and it has a little dry shampoo if you're using it to refresh or blow up [Music] [Laughter] [Music] I'm just gonna flip over you're gonna Jewish my hair little and we're done look at all that volume it's nice and bouncy the only thing I would say is like I said my hair is a little damaged so the ends aren't cooperating as much as I would like them to but if I just spent a little bit more time going over them and smoothing them over it would be fine see and just fixing it it looks great I have a nice bouncy sleek blowout let's do a middle part and see what it'll look like and honestly I can just take my brush and kind of right now smooth it out that looks awesome this is definitely a style I go for a lot I do like a lot of brush curl or beachy waves but I do like doing my hair straight but I don't like it pin straight because I have a bunch of layers so this kind of just makes it look bouncy and healthy I'll show you guys on the back I can't even see the back you can probably see all the layers but they're not six straight and I have to say although my ends aren't that great my hair does feel really really smooth so overall I am really really happy with the Revlon one-step blow-dryer I will definitely be using this all the time sorry Drybar I do love the Buttercup but I just hate blow drying my own hair with the brush and blow dryer it's just so much work and so much effort this definitely does make it easier for you so if you're like me and you hate doing your own hair you should really try this out because it really works [Music] [Music]
