REVLON VS HOT TOOLS One Step Blowout on Frizzy, Naturally Curly Hair

Oh get your life together oh wow I just spent like a minute talking and realize I wasn't even filming I'm dad so I'm so excited I've been having some technical difficulties I could have been done with this but today we are gonna be putting two products head ahead and it is gonna be the Revlon what is it called like those one step blow out thing and also the Hot Tools what is this one called one step pro blow out styler so I am like diehard fan of this Revlon one I've been using it for I don't even know how long so I'm gonna be really hard on this Hot Tools one because I love this one and it's gonna have to blow me away to say that the price of a difference it's worth it okay I know I paid $59.99 whenever I got this but right now it's $35.99 this has 26,000 plus reviews and almost 5 stars like it's pretty good so the Hot Tools one however is I'm so prepared okay let's continue this one is currently on sale I paid 60 $9.99 but it's currently on sale we're 50 to 49 so you save 1750 which is 25% and you get an extra 5% off so whatever I shared on Instagram that I was going to be comparing the two my like I had so many messages about it and it made me even more excited to try it a lot of people were telling me that these are manufactured and like the same place so they are probably gonna look pretty similar okay so what I did find whenever I was kind of looking at the difference is on the Hot Tools website let's see so the 24 karat gold technology delivers even heat distribution that that's essential to consistent results plus there is a direct eye on technology that helps maintain a neutral charge on the hair surface leaving the hairless and conditioned and smooth while helping reduce frizz and Static for shiny healthy looking hair it also has cutting-edge boar tech to bristles complete with silk guide perfect the styling reason I obviously can't read but so basically this has like 24 karat gold technology and boar tech bristles direct ion technology yada yadi yadi the revlon one so this one says basically that it's designed with the nylon pin and tufted bristles for detangling improved volume boosted by ionic technology through a built in genuine ion generator I don't know what any of that means but so what we're gonna do is I'm going to split my hair into and then we're gonna do one with one side and one with the other now I found that if I use this with my hair soaking wet it it just doesn't work as well so I always let my hair air dry about 80 to 90 percent before I do this and then you always want to use a heat protector I just use the one bite resume so it says it's heat protection up to 450 so let's zoom in a hair or two or five can y'all still see like yeah okay so let's let this bad boy straight down the middle and then so this I'm gonna do with the Revlon this side it's gonna be with the height okay so I just kind of section it off and like I get really curly underneath I have didn't tell y'all so I have like naturally curly very frizzy here I can't really curly down here and so um I kind of do a smaller layer down here just to kind of get it really good alright so this one has setting as it says cool low and high and off so I always going high because I got time to do it all though okay let's go [Music] okay so one day night you'll notice is like I do go underneath and on top I don't want a whole lot of volume underneath so I'm not really looking to get that like underneath you know so I usually will go on top more just because I'm not trying to lift down there it's so hard to do this with I mean it's like I'm so used to just um doing it all the way across it's hard to to do it only on half of your head or I'm just not that coordinated so probably just not so coordinated moving [Music] so on the top layer this is where I kind of focused more on going underneath so because I want more volume up here so see how much volume a gives you like I love it so this is I'm gonna just say this right now I mean it I'm very not coordinated but it is much harder to blow-dry half of your head split like this like because I'm so used to like going let's open up this bad boy and kind of compare the two and see they look pretty dang identical like I mean I mean I can see how everyone was saying like it's manufactured in the same place these look identical like even the back of it but it even has the same settings like off cool low high let me see okay so this one let me undo this because trying to see if one is lighter than the other they feel pretty much the same I mean if there's a difference it's so small but I don't even know if I would yeah I mean it looks the same it feels the same but let's see if it performs the same I do like the look of this one better I'm not big on like the paint I don't know I I feel like this one looks more sophisticated but looks don't matter if you don't work so let's see so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna kind of pin this back like that and then do the same old thing with this side one second okay down the thing right that's like a vacuum cleaner [Music] okay first up I'm gonna say that these bristles feel like it's holding my hair tighter you know what I'm saying like it feels like it's um how would you describe it like it's it's just pulling through the hair tighter which is what you want if you got curly hair and you're trying to you know you wouldn't try and straighten your hair with a brush like this just don't know how to put things that I'm thinking right here and sit like to come out [Music] [Applause] [Music] I'm trying to like you my camera where you can like see everything oh hey there we go that's more comfortable for me anyways [Music] [Music] okay so this side what's done with the Revlon this side with the hot tools first off the bat I will say that I do like how the hair pulls through this one I just feel like it's tighter and it's gonna give you a smoother look let me just freshen this side up and kind of see if maybe with me having it like up mess it up [Music] see I still feel like this site is smoother and like bouncier here's my opinion if you don't have either one of these and you want to get the one that you think performs better I would say go with the hot tools I know like I hate saying it I really do like I feel like I'm cheating on it but if you have curly hair and you know how hard it is hi so I got done filming and I look down and realize that my battery was dead you know who got on Amazon or order in another battery but you know what my control I've no idea where it stops ah when I shoved it like three piece of pizza luckily it had to come to both of them like completely through and I didn't have to rewatch my hair but I think it kind of ended off where like I was trying to convince myself that it was okay that I was cheating on my Revlon with this little thing but I will say it my hair looks a little bit different at the end of that video I did go over this side the Revlon side with my hot tools when so I tried whenever I figured out it was dead to go back over it with this I tried I don't know I'm a trying of gonna see but I don't know if I said this in the last one but I basically was saying that um if you have this one and you have really like mmm here that's hard to straighten and not when you go outside it still freezes up I do think that you would like this one better do I think you need to run out and get it no but if this one goes out then I think that you wouldn't like this one better if you have really easy to stretch I keep checking my battery if you have hair that's really easy to straighten and does early frizz I think you're gonna be happy with this one but like I said if you have like curly hair I think that this one is gonna give you smoother results so like looking at my hair I just feel like on this side it like it feels softer it does feel smoother I know it's kind of hard to tell but it does feel smoother then this site like this side does feel a little bit more coarse um I I don't think that if you have this and you're happy with it and you don't have any issues that you need to run out and get this one but which one am I gonna be reaching for this one I will use this one on London's hair because when she went to me to straighten my hair her hair I will typically use this on a low setting so I'll probably give this one of her so it kind of just depends on your hair type if you don't have one of these yet then if you have more curly wavy hair that bridges go at this one if you have straight hair and you're just looking for volume like they both gave about the same amount of volume I would just say that my hair looks smoother on the hot tool side I like the way that it grabs your hair better than this one it's tighter than this one um it feels kind of like if I went out and it was really humid that this would be smoother longer you know like so like here's the the hot tool sign and here's I'm so scared I keep looking at my battery here's their Revlon side so they're both great they're both both great it just kind of depends on what you want if that makes sense like what you're looking for just volume fine currently here that's hard to straighten so I'm gonna come back over this side with this side and uh yeah
