hey guys what's up i'm mike levitsky and this is where i help you find your voice and create music with your drums and also as of like the last whole bunch of videos i've been doing i've just been checking out music that you guys have been suggesting to me and i'm hearing all these bands that i have never heard of before and i'm really having a great time doing it so just in my last video i checked out david maxim uh mick ick i'm not sure the track living room loved it totally loved it if you've never heard that track go and check that video out i will put a link right up here also down in the description uh to my reaction video and you can check out his original video today i'm gonna check out politia goat i've seen this floating around i've never heard of palefia i've never listened to goat i have no idea what i am about to get myself into but uh i'm excited i'm excited so i don't even know i don't know what kind of music this is it could be anything but here we go polifia goat this is my reaction and uh if if i have something to say along the way i'll pause the video and talk about it and if there's a cool riff or a drum part or whatever i don't know here we go polyfia goat g-o-a-t [Music] [Music] so [Music] unfortunately [Music] all right interesting it's like a hip hoppy kind of metal on a triplets [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] very talented guitars a lot of harmonics a lot of kind of extra extended techniques [Music] this tone's really thin i prefer a thicker tone on my guitar but [Music] that's interesting [Music] that was that was a pretty cool feel right there it's like a hand and foot thing back and forth yeah actually it's it's not too hard it's like small tom kick small top and kick floor tom kick floor tom kick hat hat hat kick snare i think that's what he played yeah all in like triplets [Music] nice interesting random like this saga just seems like it's just random like it sounds cool but there's just so many random things happening [Music] all right we're underground again everybody's tired man everybody's really tight especially with these crazy rhythms lots of memorize yeah all right i'm gonna feature the drums here we go [Music] splash symbols you gotta have a splash syndrome [Music] man this guitar part sounds so hard yeah this is hard because it's so random but it's not random like it purposely sounds then but everybody's together [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah clean really clean nice nice job super clean there at the end and then now we're back to the weird kind of i don't know what this thing would be some kind of child's xylophone soundy kind of thing with some weird some weird uh modulation kind of on it effects wow okay so polyfia goat strange strange but uh strangely good so incredibly incredibly talented musicians here to play this stuff i mean yeah the guitar part was incredibly difficult with the harmonics and kind of moving all over the fretboard and all that kind of stuff the drummer playing a lot of these uh intricate rhythms with the guitar and the bass uh just cool stuff like really creative uh really creative i i thank you guys so much for sharing this music with me this isn't stuff i normally listen to and so it's been fun to check this stuff out and just kind of like hear new stuff and like whoa uh so some kind of notable some notable things i i really enjoyed this this drum fill that we stopped and looked at the six tuplets and then this ending fill was really really nice he just continued it over the bar line a couple of times and it was really clean like a lot of times on driver play something like that they like rush or they get out of time or like it's not locked in but this is super locked in listen to this again right here so [Music] nice i mean really locked in really well done uh i don't know who the band is maybe okay good so they've got some of the stuff down here they have names but they don't say what they do so i'm sorry about that i don't know who any of these people are um tim henderson scott lepage clay gobber or gober and then clay h chaleman i not so good you know i used to be a teacher and the first day of school when i had to call out all the students names it never went well i'd be like uh booger it's pronounced bougaire and they'd be like oh i'm sorry yeah so anyway sorry about your names guys but uh nice job really nice job uh i enjoyed that tune i didn't know what to expect it was random but i i think i'm gonna go listen to it again now the difference between this and the last tune that i listen to is uh the singability of this is is a little bit less there there is a melody and it it's a it's a it's a somewhat strong melody but it's not as strong as like the riff that we listened to uh in the last song with with david that was just a really strong riff and it repeated so many times this uh was was a feat of um improvisation how they took a melody and they just kind of tweaked it rhythmically they tweaked it uh with with kind of notes and spreading around it and so so good job with that uh this isn't definitely something you're going to put on in the background and let play uh it commands your attention and so nice job all right i think i'm gonna go check out one more before i call it a night tonight uh but these will come out like tomorrow the day after the day after that but i'm gonna go look at one more so if you enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel check out some of my drum lessons some of my drum covers some of my all instrument
