Drip Edge Flashing - How To Cut Outside Corners

so we're going to teach you how to cut flashing for outside corners and then we're also going to do it for inside corners first things first we're going to measure and you can see it's at 11 and a quarter so what we're going to do is we'll come over eleven and a quarter and then this is an inch and a half so what we're gonna do is we're gonna go an inch and a half over this way and an inch and a half over this way then grab our speed square and we're going to transpose those lines all the way down same thing transpose it all the way there just like that so this is my eleven and a quarter i'm gonna cut this and bend this so the next step is we're going to take our speed square and you'll see because it's an inch and a half and we marked out an inch and a half these lines will connect just like that [Music] sorry guys so next we got three tools we got our benders our tin snips and our grinder now make sure when you use the grinder get your safety glasses so what we're going to do here i'm going to turn on our grinder all right now you can see with the grinder we cut it from corner to corner now what we're going to do we're going to grab our tin snips [Music] i'm going to come over here we're going to cut it just like that and then we'll bend this out of the way and then we're going to cut this guy next so it's going to bend on your hinge point so right there we just want to notch it a little bit and then we're going to cut that center line right there break that off now this is gonna go on the top and this is on the bottom so what we're going to do is bend that forward i'm going to slide that back and then tuck that over just like that now before you fold this over you'll want to add a little bit of caulking and okay you throw it right on your corner just like that and then you'll just put a nail right in here up against your wall
