[Music] what's going on guys welcome back to bfi speed i'm on my way to the shop now where i've got a couple dinos today um the one in particular the little crx we started on christmas from my buddy dan from 1320 dcr now this car used to belong to a good friend of his name shelby henderson uh he was a pretty cool cat-back community he had this little crx and uh with gsr engine and some nitrous ran like a 12-6 and uh after he passed dan kind of jumped in the car and uh he's made it his project and wanted to kind of fulfill what shelby wanted to do so today we're gonna get it on the dyno and we're gonna start working this thing out and then after the crx i think we're gonna do my buddy michael's car which is another part of the 1320 dtr crew and uh i think the last time we had this car on the dyno we were actually at the old shop and had a stock type r in it it was pretty sweet i'm kind of excited for all this it should be a pretty cool day i can't wait to see what we all learn and have a good time doing this so i'm just about there and we'll get this thing strapped on the dyno so brad michael's car on the dyno we got 50 trim turbo or something 57 oh that's a good one i like a 50 cent brown red blue yo looks good there and this is big mike's old block so we know it can make some jam this may surprise you if it's a 57 trim it's still a type of our head it's got a stage two turbo cams okay cc injectors what kind of cams uh brian crower brian crower stage cheese yep sounds like shelby's running that'll be our main event that'll be fun this is cool though what size injectors thousands thousands of sages has a better block from last time okay what year did we dyno this thing like 2015 dude that's your old shot that was a minute ago i had a kid it just been sitting for the garage under a car cover for a couple years yeah it happened back man i'm excited you're back too it's been too long and i love very hard it's beautiful [Music] awesome as the old star see yeah the pump is on high oh see my maybe i'm not on the right wire i just saw one that was empty and i plugged it in so just make sure i'm on the right pin yes just make sure it's all right um the wire which one is it what do you mean which wire from here you have the pin out i don't know yeah no it's 815 is what it needs to go to then you go to the jumper and go to e15 yeah so cool sounds good but they're it's a brushless pump so it has a couple speeds you ground the one side and we got that going through the ecu to ground it and then when you get to a certain boost pressure then the high speed kicks on so we're just gonna wrap that up and then we'll be going with this one all right let's go ahead and get this hot rod synced up here set timing let's go just gotta go forward no other way sorry a little more a little more a little more right there yep it's okay yeah all right let's make a base and see where we're at [Music] all right call it there we're good okay what was vtec at i had to look but it was just kind of lean okay so the engine has changed and it's been five years since you tuned it and there's been a couple other people playing in the two okay so it's not what you had in it five years ago okay it's not the engine it had five years ago it's not the same car it's not the same it's all changed but this interior's the same and i kind of like that all right let's try this again all right let's roll [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] well i think the vtex worked yeah it bumped it yeah it gets so much boost before it is attacked it's a 50 trim it's 57 57 okay yeah so that's it really good turbo yeah it should light up [Applause] [Music] foreign [Applause] how'd that look 15 pounds yeah what you guys looking at he said he thought something blew off the bag i think it's good i think it was just hope i see it this line blew off right here yep right all the boost yeah the boost gauge right we didn't have a zip tied on yeah i don't know if it blew that off or if that's been off i looked at it earlier okay so i looked at every background it's the back one off the intake manifold that little one it was on okay cool i did look at that so it didn't go to the fuel pressure right here let me look no just that what's the most it's made last time it got dynamite 307 in 2015. okay i added three degrees to the ignition timing i was around 15 degrees at 15 pounds and uh now i'm around 18. so let's get into her see where this goes let's try this out [Music] [Music] hmm there you go 427. what's our duty look like they're cleaned up oh yeah you got more in it it might have a hair left a hair i'd have a hair left we're going to find the hair right give me a just a small plus turn maybe mark it even where it is oh we got a manual controller oh yeah i get a party but i have a yellow thing you can mark yeah yeah all right so i gave you half a turn and i marked where it was okay so that's about probably all i can do [Applause] [Applause] [Music] like that 438 16 pounds that was one pound that was good yeah man judy was 93 [Music] that sounds good dude yeah unload one more so you spun the roller with the brake on yeah yeah i was getting a little bit oh yeah that was but that's saying something if you're moving the roller it bumped 10 pounds yeah if you're moving the roller with the brake on you're doing a good thing yeah because it's hard i mean that's a 3 000 pound weight with train brakes holding up literally it's cool and like i said 93 to 94 [Applause] that was just so smooth oh yeah all right we're gonna stick this thing right now getting ready to get are you set yep far he's going keep going a little more yep yep good he's just gonna tighten it [Music] is [Music] [Applause] is it just pushed out okay okay we're good what do you need me to check it could be then oh the injectors are acting too i'm not sure like latex like they're just like whatever did you ever put these injectors in the machine no i never did they were brand new trying to find the paper for them i had the paper i put it back in the box well you used that info to put in here obviously yeah i used the info off the paper okay looking for the injector paper do you think we should put them through the machine real quick just to double check them they were brand new they've never been where we got to touch the key or just not the pump put the prime 1280 so we're good okay we just checked that because on the fuel pump output it only had eight volts you're pulling the regulator off yeah and just try to fix that yeah because i mean we're shooting in the dark if we don't got fuel pressure yeah you know we don't know should i pop the injectors out at the same time yeah yeah go ahead we might as well yeah go okay pop those out and we'll get them in the machine real fast yeah and uh run through all that are we looking junk these are brand new oh we got a dripper so there's that misfire there's definitely the misfire i'm glad we did this oh yeah it's always like running in place if you don't we would have chased that or burned a hole yeah because they're brand new so you wouldn't even have it it had been like you literally asked it would have had to run at like 10 something he's like do we need to pull the injectors do we need to pull it i'm like they're brand new okay if you want me to yeah they didn't come out of the box until they got here so until i can go tomorrow and get a new batch injectors jamie has a set from race week gonna put in the machine real quick and uh test them we may just do that so we're doing prices right closest without going over so delete mine real quick now that i know the rules are we doing a buy or what yeah what's the price okay because i already i'm already entered five bucks a person and it's a spicy pot 701 for me 701.70 701. you know the clutch right yes i do but i also know my game now lock these in everybody's locked in right now and he also knows brent who pulled 707 like yeah yeah injectors airing them out now getting ready to check [Music] that's dead nonsense let me tell you boy let me tell you what now we'll get those back in the car change the plugs and uh get down all right so we'll get this rail on and we'll be ready to start jamming again and the wire is brown the two is red blue and yellow blue on number three and yellow number four yep 45 low high so this pump's got a low and a high setting so we set it on the high setting in 55 the low setting is 45. sounds so much better [Music] what do we make 385 385 on gate heck yeah 385 on gate right not bad place to start that pulled her up to 79. how much boost was that 15. yep sounds about right there we go fire's right up now yes all right the pump seems to be working good with the high low yeah it's working great yeah we got that set up good [Music] it's like you look at it betting though you still got 303 to go i moved the richness back a little bit where it starts to get fat gets all heavy and rolls over he said you should have 303 horsepower to go to get to your back i did hear that i'll get you [Music] same boot same everything all we did was clean it up and that was i didn't go into the tens at all and it was 11 1 2 at the end so just a hairy little trim there but yeah i'm very close now that was the goal now we can i know what to do so i'm going to start giving boost duty now and then back down but i wanted to get that one out of the way before we ate just so yep we had an idea where we could start partying that was 14 to 13.9 okay pounds of boost hell yeah ripper that's pretty good okay so we started out some boost duty i kind of made a curve you see how it does it may need adjustment or it may come in hard or it may it may not anyway we're going to find out what it does right now so this is party time yes sir this boost control up [Music] and then it came out 548 you had to lose the curve so that spike was 25 and then 19. so i just need to like yeah yeah keep working it [Music] hmm so i pulled the boost out a little too soon so we need to just inspect that [Music] all right so where's the list at there's a lot of eliminations there oh oh yeah a lot sure i think we're we're close to my so i'm out hunters out chris is out shoes out biggie's out now derek's out most people there's like five containers you knocked about half the list out right so what do we have so we've got shelby brent todd me and dan the shelby win though it goes into the chevy when it goes to the donation to charity yup dude look at this hold on hold on break at the kiddos yeah blew a boost pipe on this side yeah fx500 okay okay oh six puffs yeah fx 500 six bucks all right so this is gonna be the same exact pull just with the pipe on 6.71 kind of laid over there oh blew a line off line to the blow-off okay we fixed a couple little things that weren't right starting to make a lot of booze so ran through some of that [Music] [Applause] oh and i'm kind of excited to see where this thing goes i believe we got a little angel in the room today and uh and the vibe feels it so i'm ready to jam all right so let's go so [Music] what it lost the torque right at about 6 000 26 7 26 we lost the torque at 6 500. dang it so we went over the tuners expectations yeah hold on yeah me too yeah i'll dial it back a little bit because it made 43 pounds there you go yeah oh so that's the map sensor yeah i'm at the top of the map how about that there you go there's a full shot of it oh yeah it looks so funny a little more power too but it does look like we ran it but it's not all right so looking at this final log here it is just wild this thing was just on a ramp how much fun is that let's see let's go over it real slow you guys can just look how much fun it made the peak power at 117 revved out 230 miles an hour pretty awesome yeah making 700 today man this should be a big difference yeah shall we be happy today and we made a hundred bucks towards the charity right 105 105 bucks goes to the charity that's cool best part about it yeah that's awesome our mornings yeah we're able to have shelby in the room and yeah because jam i guess what happened to shelby i don't so he he had cancer in high school beat it um i don't remember if it was in his stomach first i think that was in his stomach or his back wait i mean he had that he had lung cancer testicular cancer he had his brain but he kept beating it that was it but yeah that last few months just hit him hard nobody knew he had cancer i mean us close close people did but a lot of the friends had no idea exceeding me yeah he nobody knew a lot of people thought he was shaving his head for somebody in his family that had cancer but nope yeah it was him yeah mom he didn't care well he said out here you go to turbo that farm man yeah when we were packing all this stuff we found the notebook that we were making all the notes on so we had plans to boost it it's just we couldn't because all the cancer stuff chemo is non-stop there was definitely energy today all right for sure yeah we definitely on the inside at the same time yeah big thanks to everybody not just people that are here i mean everybody that's yeah the family and friends that seen the car know the car big deal for sure that's awesome [ __ ] and we're all kind of you know we've all kind of dealt with it too you know i lost my mom that way and she's right now his dad is fighting it off two years ago from but yeah but today was definitely worth it you know this is us like fighting back and having a little fun too so it's cool i think yeah you guys kicked ass between these yeah it ripped it ripped man that was so much fun we were jamming yeah all right awesome we'll take your car home finally here we go thank you for
