ladies gentlemen in horison of all ages as time goes on past the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 a lot of you are getting quite a bit of depth into the game and as people reach later areas of it it becomes time to talk about some cool things that you can get from these So today we're going to go over simply the statistically best weapons for each vocation in the game and where or how to get them for yourself first and foremost in the least spoilery way possible of saying this the best of the best weapons come from the dragon forged vendor in the end game of the game itself as does the best armor to the second best sets of weapon and armor for every vocation are at regular vendors but only unlocked in the end game as well or also New Game Plus so with that out of the way let's talk the absolute best that you can achieve before that point in your first main playthrough during the story itself for some weapons the best available will only be from vendors but for every one of those I have a second option to present that you can just go out of your way to grab in the open world in one way or another without further Ado then let's begin with the fighter the highest strength weapon is the stalwart sword the volcanic Armory in the volcanic island Camp here on your map and worth noting this sells essentially all of the best armor available for every vocation before endgame as well with the exception of body armor for Archer magic Archer thief and Mystic spear hand which is this one who is sold from the wandering Merchant named Zachary over here at the excavation Camp a bit east of that location as for the stalwart sword though it is only actually eight strength higher than molten Fury which is a mace that also has a notable permanent fire Boon on top of it which gives it bonus magic damage as a base but also it actually has higher knockdown power two which I think you could easily argue is more of a Fighter's job than pure damage is anyways and this is one that can be found in the open world to specifically in the Mountain Base cave here on the volcanic island as you progress through this cave you'll end up in an area that has sort of like a creepy bowl of molten goop to the right of the gooper fall is a chest with this weapon inside of it but fighter being fighter we also have Shield to talk about too and the absolute best Shield available before endgame is dragon's Faith a high strength High knockdown power Shield that also looks quite badass and you you can get it for free in the wild at the dragon's breath Tower in the southwest corner of the map from the bridge entering the area simply go in and then up the stairs to the second floor like so follow the hallway forwards and then take a right and there will be a chest right there holding this weapon waiting to be opened second up then let's talk about Warrior and your best weapon before endgame if you're going by Pierce strength at least is the Wounded Heart Greatsword which you can get at the volcanic Armory shop once again but like with fighter this only actually has a few more strength points than the best Hammer which is Cinder spine which also has a permanent fire which does add magic damage into the consideration and so I would argue this is at least equal if not better on average across lots of fights in the game and on top of that this one is found manually in the wild in the same cave as the fighter weapon the mountain-based cave on the volcanic island for this one again progress until you find the room with the molten goop funneling into a bowl it's very obvious and hard to miss but this time leave that room and come back the way that you came from and this time you want to fork left as you're walking and you'll see a jump down to a raised platform that has a chest on it this is where the weapon comes from after that then we have Mage and the highest magic stat weapon that Mage has before the end game is Legions might which is actually unlocked just by collecting and handing in a whole load of seekers tokens so that's definitely a good option for people doing more completionist type runs before reaching the end game especially as it has a secondary effect of if it is equipped by a pawn they will just be able to revive themselves completely if they get down so this makes a mage main pun uniquely a bit stronger than it would be if you don't have it aside of that the volcanic Armory again has a great staff for Mages and the best that you can find in the wild is The Frigid finger staff which has a permanent ice spoon on it this is located in the dragon's breath Tower in the southwest side of the map specifically from the bridge that you enter this area on if you just follow around the edge of the floor you can drop down here to a special part of the basement then just walk around to here and you'll find a chest with the staff inside of it next up then let's talk sorcerer this one's pretty easy sorcerer is in the unique position that their best weapon pre-end game is actually available super early in the game it is the lion Lord's Arch staff which just comes from being purchased at the elf town of the Sacred Arbor to the north side of the map the best one that you can actually find then in the wild is anathema which has the third highest magic stat pre-end game but also has silence debuff buildup on it too which can prevent enemies from casting magic so pretty solid even just for that reason too as for where to actually get this one it's actually a really low Drop chance from L enemies if you fight them but also you can get a guaranteed one quite easily in the dragon's breath Tower which in the southwest side of the map once again and to do this you start from the bridge and then just go up the stairs once again but this time at the top of the stairs you break the actual breakable wall that is right in front of you VI it's quite obvious and inside of this there is a chest that holds the weapon then we have the Archer vocation whose best pre-end game bow is actually not a shop weapon the medusan spell bow this has the best stats of any bow offensively speaking it also boasts bonus experience gain while equipped but it does have the downside of being 15 weight and thus a massive impact on your stamina compared to most other bows so the second best one that you can get at this stage that doesn't have that problem is at the volcanic Armory again which is the Revenant whale for money after that let's move on to fancy Archer the magic Archer whose best weapon is dragon's breath which you can get guaranteed in the volcanic Armory shop once again and I have heard some people say that you can have this drop as a rare drop chance from the Griffin that has a nest in dragon's breath Tower but I've not been able to confirm that myself properly so take that with a grain of salt otherwise the best magic bow that you can get without vendors is actually really way down the list so this is the one worth actually pursuing for sure alternatively though there is an interesting second option the militant Dove this has worse offensive stats but it also has a bonus effect you take bonus damage while holding the weapon but you periodically heal while you are standing still whether you think that works for you or not is your choice obviously I'm just mentioning that it is an option as for this one it comes from the Elven Armory shop in the sacred Arbor next up is thief and the best daggers before endgame are the FR blades which you can purchase from the volcano Armory in the volcanic island camp with the XEX ones being the Crimson teeth just slightly less strength on these but they are thankfully findable just out in the world these ones are in the Sal batal cave which is here on your map along the path again towards dragon's breath Tower a lot of these are in the sort of very South area of the map it's a bit off of the path though so you do have to follow where this marker actually is on my map to find the actual entrance but the cave itself is quite short once you get there and the reward that you want is quite near where you enter it too then second to last let's talk Mystic spear hand this is probably the simplest of them all really with the best weapon before endgame for this vocation being the dead ringer a quite visually interesting weapon as well this simply boasts the highest strength and Magic stat that you can get in your first story experience and the way that you actually get this is by killing the Lesser Dragon which you can technically do in Mel when it appears early on in the story if you employ specific tactics such as using the ballista and flinching it out of the sky if you do so then you can talk to sigur after doing that to be given this dead ringer weapon for free the same happens if you kill the Lesser Dragon where it retreats to afterwards to spend the rest of the game which is dragon's breath Tower itself on top of that if you just want to actually pay gold for it and not have to kill a dragon you can do so with the volcano Armory for this exact weapon then our final vocation for today is going to be trickster whose post weapon pre- endgame is actually extra special Whimsical Daydream this along with having the best stats also just gives you gold anytime you hit an enemy with it which is pretty cool in itself honestly as far as how to get at them this has to do with the Sphinx which is a pretty major more hidden part of the game the weapon itself is the reward for one of the Riddles In the second stage of the encounter after the Sphinx moves to its second location the riddle of differentiation is the one that asks you to bring a specific person to the Sphinx if you do this correctly by taking the person who looks like that and then is on the southern side of the checkpoint rest Town border then the chest name stay sweet Josh cotton and Hollow with the videos dropping the humor like a hammer on your tippy toes bringing entertainment on a daily arrangement to take our insanity and turn it into entertainment yes I said entertainment twice to reiterate that it is nice to look into your faces on a mostly daily basis
