Tim Meadows talked about this skit on the Nerdist podcast many years back. He said in rehearsals Dr. Poop was played by the Freddie Prinze Jr (that episodes host). Sketches were rearranged/cut so now it didn’t make sense for FPJ to appear in such a small role when he had a big costume change coming, so Adam McKay pulled Meadows aside, told him he was going on, to read what was on the cue card, and walk out. So the breaking is partly due to no one expecting Meadows to be the one who appeared.
Tim Meadows makes me lost it every time on this one. So random.
Holy shit. This is probably in my top 10 of all time.
Most insane... hmm... is someone forgetting the Forte/Sudeikis potato chip sketch?
SNL is at its best when it veers hard into absurdity. That goes back all the way to the very first sketch ever on the show, "The Wolverines."
My favorite absurdist sketch is probably Dieter's Dream. "I do not have a formal Christian name. I am called Exclamation Point."
BEVERLEEYYY!!!
Destroyed Molly, but Parnell is made of stronger stuff.
OP is a vondruke
I remember the joke about the Bodeans concert being on 30 Rock involving Dr. Spaceman, so I always thought Chris Parnell co-wrote this Will and Adam McKay.
