Don't Take The Mark! (God's Final Warning) // Sunday Morning // Tom Hughes

until you call us home in jesus name we pray amen so we are going to continue in the book of revelation we are in chapter 14 today the message title is this because this is actually a statement right out of chapter 14. it is don't take the mark the mark referred to there this is god's word this isn't pastor tom making up something this is god's word that statement is literally taken out of chapter 14 and it's a reference to the mark of the beast where no one can buy or sell unless they receive the mark of the beast but before we get going i'm going to read a little bit a story to you it's short and i shared this story many moons ago with this church and it was a little bit funny back then it's not as funny now but the story was told by frank koch in a magazine of the naval institute called naval institute proceedings and he wrote apparently is a true story two battleships assigned to the training squadron had been at sea of maneuvers in heavy weather for several days i was serving on the lead battleship and was on the watch on the bridge as night fell the visibility was poor with patchy fog so the captain remained on the bridge keeping an eye on all the activities shortly after dark the lookout on the wing reported light bearing on the starboard bow is a steadier moving astern the captain called out the lookout replied steady captain which meant we were on a dangerous collision course with that ship the captain then called to the signalman signal that ship we are on a collision course advise you change course 20 degrees back came the signal advisable for you to change course 20 degrees the captain said send i am a captain change course 20 degrees i'm a seaman second class came to reply you had better change course 20 degrees by that time the captain was furious he spat out send i am a battleship change course 20 degrees back came the flashing light i am a lighthouse [Music] so we changed course that is as much humor as we got today god is the lighthouse and he's flashing a warning that disturbingly so to me many churched people are completely ignoring they don't want to hear it they don't want to do anything about it god's the lighthouse he's the rock he is immovable and he's letting us know that this world has headed into a dangerous place and in chapter 14 of the book of revelation he shouts out the warnings and we need to pay attention because brothers and sisters we are dangerously close to the tribulation period that the bible warns about the bible says that there are many in the last days the scoffers who will come saying where is the promise of his coming our fathers told us about this and then peter writes they are willfully ignorant what this means is the scoffers that peter was referring to as church people who said we are done hearing about jesus coming and he says it's in the last days when people should be able to be alert and look up and go oh wow this is the stuff we heard about it's during those days when the church people will say i don't want to hear they're willfully ignorant deliberate denial of what they know is to be true i believe we're there the warnings there we can claim we're a battleship we can claim we're tough we can claim we're strong we claim anything we want god has told us i'm just going to show you a couple of things to help us also set the course in our minds all right this first one this is out of new york city i cannot reach read the whole thing you'll have to read the certain word i can't read because a i will pick up the certain word and then there it goes right there goes the video and everybody watching online we don't want you to be lost without this message new york city not allowing medical exemptions for a particular medical mandate okay now look at this calling 3-1-1 says if you're unable to get the medical procedure due to medical reasons you will not be allowed to enter buildings under the mandate is this tyranny so let's say your doctor has determined if you get this thing you're probably going to die that's your problem you can't come to this restaurant that's your problem you can't come to the store that's your problem in the state of california because if you don't get it and your loved ones in the hospital dying you don't get to come in and say goodbye to them that is where we are this is happening in los angeles it's happening in palm springs which is right there it's threatening to come to every neighborhood keep it out of hemet keep it out of san jacinto and you want to know what else we need to do get involved in your school boards right now in this valley do not put up with this garbage that's going on it is absolutely appalling what is happening to children from sex education telling your children that transgenderism is awesome is messed up and then right on down the list with all the other things that they're being told and taught and it's been crammed down their throats get rise up if you haven't done it already get involved in the city councils and get involved in your school boards and i'll tell you this much pastor chris over a bible fellowship is doing an outstanding job of helping to lead in the school boards out here and i'm going to encourage you i'll connect you with all the things that need to be done but we need to be involved these people only listen if you rise up okay but this is happening revelation chapter 13 is coming to time when you will not be able to buy or sell unless you receive the mark huh see look at this yo what is going on then there's this in afghanistan there's a real picture of a father with his child i there are so many horrific stories coming out of afghanistan that it makes me want to vomit when i'm reading some of them i can't read i just can't do that here i cannot do it some of you have been following the same things i've been following they're absolutely sickening they're absolutely as horrific as the holocaust and that is not an overstatement and the united states administration is complicit in all of this and i'm afraid that america has been turned over for judgment i mean how in the world could our government allow this and promote it and encourage it and not let anybody else come to the defense of the afghan people it is absolutely horrific judgment will come to america for what is taking place and what has been taking place but we as individuals we need to stand on righteousness we need to strand on truth stand on truth we need to rise to the occasion and remember this all right my friend right down the street pastor jesse posted this so i reposted it i ripped it off from him if i die i will be with jesus if i live he'll be with me so if i live or i die i am the lord's we cannot forget this we absolutely cannot forget this okay with that i have so many things to share as usual um next sunday i'm going to be sharing things after the service okay that i can't share regular i won't be able to share in the service i'm going to do that next sunday after both services i am contemplating doing that every sunday until the rapture we'll see how things go there's just too much there's just too much and greatly encouraged if i die i'll be with jesus if i live he'll be with me so if i live or if i die i am the lord so okay revelation chapter 14 you ready verses one through 13. we are not going to go past that today john is writing the uh he we talked about the mark of the beast where no one can buy or sell he talked about the antichrist and the false prophet then we look and he says in chapter 14 verse 1 then i looked and behold a lamb that would be jesus standing on mount zion and with him with jesus 104 000 having his father's name written on their foreheads you have jesus god the son and you have god the father and he's saying he says his father's name written on their foreheads this means they are redeemed by jesus and they have the father's name because of what jesus has done for him and i heard a voice from heaven like the voice of many waters and like the voice of loud thunder and i heard the sound of harpists playing their harps they sang as it were a new song before the throne before the four living creatures and the elders and no one could learn that song except the 144 thousand who were redeemed from the earth these are the ones not defiled with women for their virgins these are the ones who follow the lamb wherever he goes these were the redeemed from among men being first fruits to god and to the lamb and in their mouth was found no deceit for there without fault before the throne of god then i saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel preached to those who dwell on the earth to every nation tribe tongue and people say with a loud voice fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made heaven and earth the sea and the springs of water and another angel followed saying babylon has fallen has fallen that great city because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication and then a third angel followed them saying with a loud voice if anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of god which is poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the lamb and the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever and they have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image and whoever receives the mark of his name wow here's the patience of the saints here are those who keep the commandments of god and the faith in jesus and then i heard a voice from heaven saying to me right blessed are the dead who die in the lord from now on and when i think of what's going on in afghanistan right now i think praise god that those people in christ jesus are in the presence of the lord yes says the spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works follow them wow there's a lot here so god's the lighthouse we are not if anybody needs to change course it is not god so just two main points i want to bring out from here and the first one we see is this it's a as the jews that proclaim the truth there's 144 000 of them you've heard this before if you were with us earlier in revelation chapter 7 we're introduced to them here they come up again if you're familiar with the book of revelation you've heard about the 144 000 jews but note here are just a couple of things who they are and how they are protected so who are these 144 000 jews uh well if you look over at revelation chapter 7 we learn it tells us beginning in verse 5 in revelation chapter 7 that there's a hundred and forty four thousand of them twelve thousand from each of the twelve tribes of jacob twelve thousand times twelve is a hundred and forty four thousand so these are 144 000 jewish men saved in the beginning of the tribulation i'll show you why we know that in just a second kept all the way to the end of the tribulation i'll show you why we know that also but who are they they're virgins they're men um where on earth do you find 144 000 young men that are set apart to god and are virgins okay now i'm just going to make this i'm just going to make this uh um what do you call it a um i i'm not saying this is a fact all right this is just an observation of things i believe we're very close to the tribulation period these need to be men and i'll show you why in a second that also understand the bible but they also do not believe in jesus they have a great understanding of the old testament but they have not connected with jesus blindness in part has happened to israel until the fullness of the gentiles comes romans chapter 11 teaches verse 25 right jesus said you will not see me again you'll be blind to me until you say hosanna matthew chapter 23 why do i say they know the bible because of what they're going to be doing however like the apostle paul who knew the bible exceptionally well he was a pharisee of pharisees he was against christ he was against christianity he was against that entire concept until god took the blinders off and then suddenly he could see who jesus was right at that point he became the most incredible saint in the service of the lord writing much of the new testament the blinders came off i believe you're going to have 144 thousand jewish men who are like pharisees blinded to the truth of jesus but have a a very deep understanding of the bible but they can't connect with the spiritual truth of who yeshua jesus the messiah is they're blinded to it but during the first part of the tribulation those blinders are going to come off the only group i mean when i look at it right now i think when i look at the hasidic community or the heredi community throughout the world this the jewish men who have the black hats and very orthodox ultra orthodox might call them um they're studying the bible all day long i've had conversations with many in jerusalem about isaiah 53 and other passages they they might study the bible all day long but they do not connect with jesus at all in fact many of them would want to persecute you if you're a christian it's very interesting like the apostle paul but they also are set apart to virginity they're set apart to certain things that are described here and there's got to be 144 000 of these men that are set apart that know the bible that are fair cynical like the apostle paul was do not like jesus at all right now and then all of a sudden get saved after the rapture so i'm suggesting it's a possibility that the 144 000 come out of that group because they have to come out of somewhere there's got to be 144 000 of these men somewhere the bible tells us so so i suggest it's a good possibility somebody online challenged me recently and they said well prove it in the bible i said i didn't say it is these hundred and forty four thousand are that are ready but i said they're coming out of somewhere and it makes sense might not be but i look and go very interesting but how look also it's who they are 144 000 jewish men out of each of the 12 tribes of of uh jacob how they are protected the name of the father is on their foreheads meaning they have been redeemed look again at chapter 7 verse 3 and 4. notice how they're protected this is fascinating the judgments are beginning in chapter 7 and you watch them and all of a sudden there's a halt to the judgments look at this verse 3 revelation 7 do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our god on their foreheads and i heard the number of those who were sealed 144 000 of all the tribes of the children of israel will were sealed and then it lists the tribes so don't hold off on the judgments until god's people are sealed on their foreheads these 144 000 jewish men notice also back in chapter 14 that the end of verse 4 says these the 144 000 were redeemed from among men again the name of the fathers on their foreheads these were redeemed among men being first fruits to god into the lamb after the rapture i believe that these 144 000 are going to be the first people that are saved like the apostle paul the spiritual blinders are going to come off as they're going to go oh wow those crazy christians who got raptured were telling us the truth jesus really is the messiah and this is so cool i want you also to notice this in verse one notice what else is going i looked and behold a lamb again that's jesus standing on mount zion and with him 144 000 having his father's name written on their foreheads this is cool where are they standing on mount zion this is awesome in chapter 7 they're the first fruits they get saved god's name is written on their foreheads all the judgments are going on throughout all the world people are being beheaded things are worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and yet all the way through they are kept safe until the very end of the tribulation because you want to know when jesus stands on mount zion again he said matthew 23 you will not see me again until you say hosanna not going to happen that is at the end of the tribulation period after jesus returns on his white horse when we are coming with him and he casts the antichrist the false prophet lake of fire and he goes over to mount zion where he rules and reigns and the hundred excuse me the 144 000 are standing with jesus they are kept safe this is a reminder for you and me if you are in christ jesus jesus doesn't lose any of his we will be kept safe um one more thing i want to note before we move on is zionism okay because you're hearing this term out there a lot uh you're a zionist uh you're wicked how could you be a zionist the jews have no right to the land you're a christian zionist you know whatever it is right how could it be well what does the term zionist mean well zionism is simply this it's the national movement of jews and jewish culture that supports the creation of a jewish homeland and the territory defined as the land of israel that makes sense why wouldn't the jews be able to have the land of israel the biblical homeland why would they not the way i see it italians get italy canadians get canada mexicans get mexico right the french get france right i mean you start looking well why did the jews suddenly not have the right to the land because it's a spiritual problem people will say and they do argue with me about this well zionism began in the 1800s and blah blah blah blah blah no it did not god is the original zionist and you look at the bible all over the bible you find out a long long long time ago that god claimed zion was his and jesus claims you will see me again in zion and here this is proven here in verse 1 of chapter 4 jesus is the zionist and this chapter the book of revelation was written in 90 a.d how long ago was that 1 900 something years ago and jesus is saying here's the the 144 000 jews gonna be standing with me on mount zion i look at this and i am reminded that everything is going to unfold exactly as god has said it would and he will keep you and i safe stand strong stand in the lord there's a whole bunch of stuff going on that's trying to sidetrack us right now don't get sidetracked okay let's move on so who they are how they are protected and what they do uh what do they do well first of all they are saved and they are sanctified hence verse 4 they follow the lamb wherever he goes they are sanctified and they are redeemed from among men they are saved they're saved and they're sanctified notice also that they're singing a song that nobody else can learn nobody else could possibly know this song that to me is pretty outrageous it tells us right here they're singing a song a new song before the lord verse 3 and the throne before the four living creatures and the elders and no one could learn that song except 144 000 who were redeemed not the elders not the living creatures not you or me only the 144 000 i have people that tell me what this song is how could we possibly know god says nobody's even gonna know not even the elders or the four living creatures we can't know it so i'm not going to guess what it is other than one thing it is praise to god wow sanctified meaning set apart obviously set apart for god and his purposes so we learn here that they are sexually chaste they are virgins have not known a woman they follow the lamb without hesitation what god says this is what we will do they have no lies on their lips and they are blameless by the way it doesn't mean they have no lies now right it doesn't mean they're blameless now um they certainly don't follow the lamb now because if they did they'd be raptured but when they are saved however the virginity thing they got to be virgins ahead of time right but the rest of them when they are saved they are touched they are filled with the holy spirit and this is what they do they follow jesus they have lies no moss they are blameless and lastly what do we note about them they are sent where they sent i believe they are sent to the whole world delivering the gospel verse 4 says that these are the first fruits of the tribulation meaning if they're first fruits there's many more to come and i believe there's many more people are going to get saved because the witness that some of you have now are telling people leaving information behind by the way we're going to have available uh hope for our times pretty soon this thing called the rapture kit this is really cool people want to know what can i leave for my friends leave behind or something like that and because online things are probably going to go away and all kinds of things so we're going to make those available pretty soon that you can leave him behind it's with believe it or not with some people out of silicon valley that have put this thing together that are that are saved so i'll just leave it at that i probably shouldn't have said that out loud but i just but i just put let's kind of cats out of the bag now um so they're sent first fruits there's people that are going to be saved daniel chapter 11 tells us this i believe this is in the second half of the tribulation period where this part takes place in daniel chapter 11. the people who know their god this is speaking of jews during the tribulation that are saved the people who know their god shall be strong and carry out great exploits and those of the people who understand shall instruct many the ones who have the understanding in the book are going to be instructing many they're gonna they're going i believe uh it's primarily referring to these hundred and forty four thousand and maybe some others also but they're gonna be people that are saved and have an understanding and go i get it they're proclaiming the gospel i believe um that they these 144 000 are sent to the jews but also to the gentile world i was asked recently online if these 144 000 are only going to be sharing the gospel in israel no i believe they're all over the world sharing the truth of the gospel wherever it is that god has chosen these jewish men from where he has picked them by the way some say that there's a great harvest coming right now okay it may be i have some friends of mine that say that it may be all right i don't know but the only one i know for sure that i can say biblically knowing that there's a great harvest coming a great spiritual awakening coming is during the tribulation period in fact the bible seems to imply that just before the rapture there's a turning away from faith it's the opposite that takes place people are not interested in the truth but after the rapture there's this great turning to the lord that takes place these 144 thousand are uh the first of them i'm not saying the great awakening can't take place right now all of a sudden the next three weeks a whole bunch of people can be saved all over the world but biblically i know the ultimate harvest is going to come during the during the tribulation period one more thing i'm going to caution everybody here on and anybody watching online our world is desperate for a man a political leader it's a trap and there's there is a distraction from jesus we need to be very careful all right on both sides of the aisle because um we can get so caught up in wanting some political things to take place i'm one of those right however i have to keep my mind focused on no matter what happens you know if i get all of my political picks to win would that be a distraction to me of jesus because i can tell you right now i cry out to jesus a lot more now than i was a couple years ago and i'm watching what's taking place and i want to see things get resolved like you guys do and i know we're being lied to and deceived but i cannot take my eyes off of jesus christ the world is looking for a man and i'm going to tell you something i know how the bible unfolds in the book of revelation people on the left and people on the right are going to be so deceived and vote for the antichrist because he's going to seem to have answers for both sides of the aisle he's the one who's got the solution jesus said the deception will be so great that if it were possible even the elect would be deceived so be very careful keep our eyes fixed on jesus christ the author and finisher of our faith but again i i like this so much here because in chapter seven the 144 thousand are plucked up and saved and i don't mean plucked out they're they're spiritually plucked by jesus and saved the father's name is written on their forehead seven years later at the end of the tribulation period they are standing they are still here at mount zion with jesus jesus does not lose one and he will not lose you amen okay just two things here's the second one so the first one was the jews that proclaimed the truth the second is the three angels that proclaim the truth so notice uh with this in verses six and seven it's the message of the first angel that proclaims the gospel i saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel preached to those who dwell on the earth to every nation tribe tongue and people this is everywhere every single language no language barrier with the gospel with this angel isn't that interesting somehow the angel is going to be flying all over the world speak in a language where every single individual hear the gospel and understand it in their language and we'll say with a loud voice [Music] fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made the heaven and earth and the sea in the springs of water wow in the gospel of matthew jesus said that these things would not be fulfilled speaking of the tribulation period until the gospel is preached to every single nation and people have taken that to mean that you and i are going to create this perfect world there's a whole doctrine a post-millennialism is based on this where we create the perfect world at the end of our perfection and what we've done for god then jesus returns to me i look at that that's absurd that's not biblical but in that we preach the gospel to the whole world and but that's not it it's 144 when jesus said this gospel be preached through the whole world and then the end will come he's sending the 144 000 during the tribulation period to preach to the whole world and then for anybody that's missed this angel goes all over the globe and every single person hears the gospel no one has an excuse no one is left out it's fulfilled by this angel in the 144 thousand but post-millennialism is this doctrine again that teaches that we're going to create this perfect world it's gonna be kumbaya in the name of jesus we're all gonna get along for a thousand years imagine that getting along for a thousand years then jesus comes that's nuts to me absolutely nuts it's not biblical and people like christians people who go to church actually think that yeah that's what we're going to do so therefore we just this and you are set up for the kingdom of antichrist is coming in the false prophet because everything's going to sound so glorious go yeah we just need to go along with it and take this mark it's a setup a spiritual setup because not interpreting the bible correctly listen this is how it's going to happen the rapture is going to take place and the judgments are going to come and then jesus is going to return and when we understand it we remember that we do not love our lives unto death and we also understand everything is happening exactly as the bible says it would the message of the second angel is in verse 8 is babylon the great has fallen she has fallen listen chapter 17 and 18 deal with babylon in detail i will deal with it then because people ask me or say to me all the time america is babylon or this is babylon or that is babylon so i'm not even going to touch it until we get to chapter 17 and 18. okay so there but i do want to do this the message of the third angel is don't take the mark then the third angel verse nine follow them saying with loud voice if anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of god which has poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the lamb and the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever and they have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image and whoever receives the mark of his name wow all right so simply put if you receive the mark of the beast your spiritual damnation is set forever there's no there's no possibility of unwinding it at that point so we the mark of the beef says you cannot buy or sell unless you receive the mark of the beast right i tell you we are being conditioned for this it doesn't take a smart person to figure this out it takes a person that is willing to be spiritually aware how is it that god said these things over 800 prediction slash prophecies of what was going to be going on in the last days how is it over 800 of them 100 accurate you look you go you got to be kidding me and my friends and colleagues tell me all the time this is just a coincidence it's all just a coincidence it is you can't go into places in la not all places some people are rebelling against this stuff that's going on again palm springs new york city other places as mentioned earlier can't go into a hospital in california to visit a loved one who's dying i mean look at this and go two years ago i said when i taught on the mark of the beast i said imagine the time coming when you go to the doctor's office with your child and the prescription is there for your child it's a hundred dollars you can fulfill it uh the prescription you can get it done your child the doctor's 100 curable your child will live if you don't take it you're gonna die but the problem is you haven't received the mark of the beast and neither is your child but your child's going to die if you don't take that mark what do you do and i said that's a real scenario that's going to take place in the tribulation period folks we are almost there we are paquito do you know how close we are so we're being set up for for this now i i do need to to say this too um where we are right now is not the mark of the beast i had a conversation with a friend the other day and he was he insisted this is i this medical procedure right i said it's not and i said it can't be there's a lot of things that have to happen before then the 144 000 have to be sealed uh the um trumpet judgments have to take place there has to be a temple built in jerusalem a lot of things have to take place before then i said none of those things have happened yet but what's disturbing is seeing people are conditioned right now to it's a total set up the enemy of our souls knows this all you got to do is you you move them this far and then well that's another step and you get your freedoms back how how much we're hearing that already right you want your freedoms then you go along with it the mark of the beast is going to be that but there will be absolutely no possibility of escape from it neighbors will turn in neighbors you'll be marginalized as a bad citizen if you don't go along with it and i know that many of you have received the medical procedure i know that all right but i want you to understand that is not the mark all right um i have not do i intend to no i don't that's what i told them okay hold on okay because there's a lot of people in here that have all right and there's people who've written to me and said hey i was gonna lose my job if i didn't do this my wife and i were talking the other day what if our son or daughter gets in a car accident they're gonna die and we gotta get into the hospital to see them and they won't let me in to see my child you know that's a problem because i know this is not the mark of the beast so i mean you start looking at this you go okay there's there's this this this aspect of it and the pressure to conform is unbelievable but there is the labeling a bad citizen versus good citizen we need to be very prayerful we need to keep our eyes fixed on jesus christ but it's just folks this is just we are so close we're so close in the warning signs the lighthouse this is the lighthouse change course it's happening exactly as god said it would everything is going this direction satan is more brilliant than anybody in here anybody on this planet he knows you gotta you gotta prepare people you create a problem then you sell the solution right now the problem's being created all over the planet guess what there's a man antichrist that's going to come in and and both sides are going to say hey he's got the answer let's just put aside our differences and go for it do not let your eyes get off of jesus christ in all of this we have great hope notice this just we're just about done here verse 12 here's the patience of the saints here are those who keep the commandments of god and the faith in jesus look at this then i heard a voice from heaven saying to me right blessed are the dead who die in the lord from now on yes says the spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works follow them wow what do we have with the patience of the here's the patience of the saints they have eternal rest where there's no more pain or suffering amen so the hundred and forty four thousand they're the untouchables revelation chapter seven they're saved revelation chapter 14 at the very end of the tribulation they're standing with jesus god doesn't lose one and so it is with you and i in christ jesus and all those who are in afghanistan and all those who are suffering throughout the world remember this jesus himself said i will never leave you nor forsake you and in romans chapter 8 who shall separate us from the love of christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword for i am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor death nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus our lord how do we overcome revelation 12 they overcame the devil by the blood of the lamb the word of their testimony they did not love their lives unto death therefore rejoice o heavens and you who dwell in them but woe to the inhabitants of the earth for the devil has been cast down and he knows he has little time folks listen our hope is in jesus christ amen amen remember this if i die i'll be with jesus if i live he'll be with me so if i die or if i live i am the lord's in the meantime we need to i feel guilty when i have a good meal right now seriously i think of what's going on in afghanistan i think of what's going on in many parts of the world and things that are happening we can see the squeeze coming let us love one another encourage one another stand with one another stand strong in the lord we need to be focused we need to be resolute i encourage
