David Hinson and his guests would you stand I want to recognize you and appreciate you a man a man and I call her the first lady of Baltimore she is the wife of Senator the former senator Elijah Cummings and late senator Elijah Cummings Maya Cummings would you stand god bless you god bless you our prayers and our thoughts are with you our highest respect and regard for who your husband has been to this country we salute you we honor you his legacy lives on through you come on church listen give her the love at the dignity of the class that she's doing to all of the bishops and the apostles and the pastors and the elders and I know the protocol and I know how many names I'm supposed to call but when I wrote them all out it's about thirty of them and if I call everybody's name I won't get to preach tonight that you know one thing if you're special to me you know it cuz I'm no phony I'm no phony and you're special to me all the time but my regards and my respect to all of you in your respective places though said I know and those that I don't know most of you I do know and we go way back down through the years I appreciate you both those on the stage and the quorum of ministers and elders on the floor that surround us we are comforted by your presence that we are comforted the Bible said in the multitude of counsel there is safety and and these this lone ranger' spirit that I see prevailing today is dangerous and certainly even the Lone Ranger had Tonto a man my mother used to say if you see a turtle sitting on a fencepost he didn't get there by himself amen and so we are comforted by our unity and our combined strength and our combined expression of ourselves and if you're checking out this garm and I got on yeah clean while I was ministering in Abuja it was a gift that was given to me from Nigeria to celebrate my ancestry and my culture as my descendants came from western Africa and were ebo by tribe it is an evil Road and for me it just reminds me that my history didn't start in Chains naked on the bottom of a boat that might not mean anything to you but every now and then I like to remind myself that we were a people and we have a people and we are connected to a people and a bridge exists between us and everybody who's got sense enough to understand the power of history clap your hands and think the law and besides that I just think it looks cool a man a man I want to take just a moment and mention to you I have jumped out out of my normal routine and I do a lot of different things but as you get older you start thinking of legacy and one of the things I want to make sure is that the gift of articulation and speech and preaching and power and relevance remains in the earth so we have just lost a Jake's divinity schools it is not that there aren't many options and divinity schools but there are very few divinity schools that are founded by people who actually did the work and there is a difference between learning and doing there are some things that you learn on the job that you don't learn in a book that helps to better prepare and facilitate not only theology but the types of leadership that it requires to steer through the vicissitudes of the times that we're in all complement what we are trying to do with Jake's Divinity School because the leaders that are coming on today are going to need a different acumen than their fathers come on talk to me somebody I'm so blessed to have dr. Antipas Harris who is going to be who he is the Dean of the jace Divinity School and we've got a table set up in the back I don't know where dr. Harris is but would you stand stand up let them see you a man a man we've got a table in the back for those of you it is an online bachelor degrees master's degrees in theology and leadership are available the JDS degree programs are fully accredited because of our partnership with established universities and so if you want to find out a little bit more information visit the JD s table in the front lobby and avail yourselves of that information med is coming up briefly mentioning I'm going to do a Leadership Conference April 30th through made the second and I have in all the history that we've been doing leadership conferences number one I've never seen the response as quickly as we've had this year we are already past where we were when we got to the Leadership Conference in terms of registration and I think it is because America knows now more than ever how badly we need great leaders there is a dearth in our society not for titles not for titles we got lots of titles but not lots of leaders of every level of our society from the family all the way up we need great leaders not people who hold positions but people who can move us further and further to what where we're trying to go because if you can't quantify movement you're not a leader you're parked just because you're parked up front doesn't make you a leader come on somebody the other thing that is thrilling about it I have been able to amass some of the people that I've got coming are people that I've been trying to get for three and four years some of which we've announced and some of which we have not announced and all of the worlds collide between entertainment entrepreneurship corporate America and church leadership will all be represented there everybody from a Tyler Perry who to has just done something absolutely mesmerizing and Atlanta that goes way beyond Madea one headlines in Hollywood's here Madea built the largest studio in the world his studio is larger than all the studios in Beverly Hills combined and come on somebody and he bought and built it solely by himself without outside sourcing ownership or control and built it on a confederate army base so there's got to be more to this guy than wigs and makeup there's something he did writes a man thoughtful enough to honor all of those who've gone before him I want to hear what he's got to say great leaders like David Dave Stewart out of st. Louis who founded worldwide technologies with 250,000 dollars and built into a multi billionaire corporation an african-american man that we very seldom see come out to talk or to teach or to train and what's amazing about it he gives God the credit for his success in building a technological empire he is one of 13 black billionaires in the entire world and he's a born-again blood wash hand clapping foot stomping Christian of the Living God and I want you to meet him and after many years of pursuing to him you know him as an actor and you know him from the film industry some of you even know that he's a PK but I have finally been able to book Denzel Washington to come out and be a part of that meeting and so I want to encourage you to register yes I've got great preaching I've got great singers I've got all kinds of great people people like Paula McClure's done some amazing things in terms of being a CEO and a woman of color and a woman of faith and I've got a whole cadre of women who have done incredible things in the market all my sisters make some noise I'll quickly say this I have been in a debate in my own head as people talk about mentoring and how important mentoring is and it really is but I would suggest to you that modeling is as important as mentoring because you can mentor a person all day all you want but we generally succumb to the model that was placed in front of us and you can't be in if you don't see it and so I want to put you in the room where it happens I want to put you in a place to hear a conversation that you normally wouldn't hear to be exposed to teaching that you wouldn't normally get in every area of your life cuz it doesn't do you any good to call down glory on Sunday if you have to live in hell on Monday talk to me somebody you missed a good chance to shout and so I just wanted to mention that one thing also September 10th through the 12th will be my final woman Thou Art Loosed I'm going back to Atlanta Georgia to say to kiss all of my sisters goodbye and thank you for 30-some year run of ministering to women for an entire generation through the auspices of woman Thou Art Loosed I think that this is the right time and the right place I was me two before there was a me too I thought I would get some backup from the sisters but maybe it's no loose women in here are there any women that have been loosed into here I want you to come and let's go home with it and do a homecoming service thank you again for your invitation it means so much in a world where relationships are seldom sustainable to have a history of over 30 some years of ministering every year for 30-some years at the same place the longevity and the survival of relationships can you say man I was blessed to get in town soon enough that I got to hear pastor Brady and I know I think it's wrong that you had Pastor John great before me because he's younger than me and he's got more energy than me him and he his mind is young and his thoughts are quick and now my mind is arthritic and I cannot move as fast as I used to but I thought I just did do it him because I loved him so I just went on and endured it and then their pastor Brady came along and spoke last night and I was praying for her and I was pushing her and I was telling her to go ahead and preach until I realized I had to preach tonight and then I said don't tear it all up say something amazing I'm so happy to see Mantle's pass torch's pass ministry continues it would be a scary thing if all that we work to build would die with us then why did we do it and so I just want to hate mommy said quickly I won't be long long as it'll take much you know y'all some word junkies up here I'm gonna be here tonight and I'll be back in the morning and what started out as a Leadership Summit but now so many y'all start creeping in I don't know what that thing is we do in the morning we but uh whatever it is thank you for your love and thank you for your support down through the years I earnestly feel that all that I am and all that I ever hope to be I would first of all to God and secondly to the love of God's people if there were no you there would be no me amen and I appreciate you give yourselves a big round of applause in the book of Genesis a very familiar passage of Scripture I will share with you chapter 1 verse 1 through 5 of the book of Genesis I wrote over with Bishop staples that was all I could do not to share what the Lord placed in my heart with him and especially after all that God has done for him I know I said I wasn't gonna call no names but I have to call over his name out loud because cancer tried to take his name out of the earth this if would you just stand up and let cancer build a UI yeah yeah every doctor he had said he wouldn't see 20/20 but look at him standing up there all dressed up and praising up to God even cool event something shout about that's up the shout about that something shout about stand to your feet and look at the book of Genesis chapter one verse one through five so all of you that are streaming online I invite you into the presence of the Lord as we go to the book of Genesis chapter one verse one through five thank you for logging on from wherever you are around the world and if you know anybody that might not know that we're on takes them tweet them send a pigeon to their house and tell them to log on right now because God has spoken a word that prepares our heart for 2020 and we must hear the word of the Lord can you say man and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and God said let there be light and there was light and God saw the light that it was good and God divided the light from the darkness he called night this is what got me and the evening and the morning were the first day that's that's what got me and evening and the morning were the first and when I begin to meditate on it Gus said I want you to preach that when you get to the seed when you get to the DMV tell my people don't let the dark fool [Music] so out of obedience and in Miley your attempt to comply with the dictates and the demand of my superior officer I want you to reach over touch somebody and say don't let the dark fool you and the evening and the morning were the first day remain standing I want to pray with you just a moment I know some of you got those kind of knees and want you to sit down quickly and then some of you made the foolish mistakes aware named red bottoms shoes across this parking lot and your toes are screaming out but deliverance I would rather you kick them off and be comfortable amen to be in pain and so that no matter what happens in 2020 we are able to handle it because we have heard the word of the law speak Lord for the seven years in Jesus name we pray somebody shout amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord there is not there are all types of people all generations all colors of classes all cultures that have congregated in this assembly today I'm told that our overflows are almost filled with capacity they will tomorrow everything they had to accommodate the crowd and we are all types of people but we are very diverse we are white and we are brown and we are black and we are young and we are used to be young and we are and we are Penn and we are used to be Penn and we are fit and we have fit pictures to prove that we used to be fit there all types of boomers and Millennials and Gen X's and ours and wives and Q's and W's and everybody else my god some of not doing security not even working in the parking lot that doesn't have something in your life that you wish would change and that means we live and we hope and we pray and with expectation her person Africa person say I can't wait for 2019 to be over because we have a tendency to think that a new date and a new year and a new decade ensures our new you but the reality is it is not the ticking of a clock that brings about the transformative power that the Holy Spirit it is not as so God waiting on a particular day and said if you make it past this date to a new calendar date I swear I'm gonna bless you no no it's not that simple the truth of the matter is come easy change does not come easy now this is gonna be tough to hear because it is antithetical to what you are used to hearing you're used to hearing spin around three times and God's gonna break it and throw $20 on the altar and God's going to fix it and five ways to have a great marriage and three ways to start your life over and and eat this and you'll drop a hundred pounds and take this deal and you'll be back able to get into the dress you wore to the prom but the truth of the matter is a day of not eating at Wendy's does accustomed to the diet and you're not gonna be transformed easily or quickly those who study trends in corporate America suggest that in order to change not the building you can change the building quickly not the name you can change the name legally and proficiently but to change the culture of an organization is quite difficult the culture the individual the invisible aesthetics and of rudiments that go along with an entity is difficult to change most experts suggest said one two three years at a minimum to change the culture of it over that you can change the wallpaper but changing the culture of the organization is not easy changing the culture of a church is not easy changing the culture of a marriage is not easy I have been doing marital counseling for 43 years and let me tell you something by the time you see most couples the culture of the marriage is so baked in that nobody will listen at anybody because everybody on both sides think they are right and yet they come for change if they walk away without change because doesn't come because you come to my office change doesn't come because you took a diet pill change doesn't come because you lifted up a barbell for we change doesn't come cause you're hired a new CEO change doesn't come because you changed the name of the entity change doesn't come because you dyed your gray hair blond because you don't even go to places that won't give me some level of movement and just come to church because I'm supposed to come to church move to the next level move to the next dimension somebody say something work write down I don't know sir II rhymes and fairytales and but the goose Dumpty sat on the wall [Music] [Applause] no I would get this old and still be hungry but don't let the gray hair fool you huh it's great but I'm still hungry boomer with millennial tendencies seven yeah all the hungry people make some noise if you're sitting beside somebody there's not hungry booze because you can have no kid weight around you right now you're ready to go to the next level you gotta be ready to move that's what's wrong with you [Applause] actually it's not the first book of the Bible historically it is not the first book of the Bible the book of Job would have been the first book of the Bible but chronologically in the way that our Bible is compiled Genesis comes first but the reality is Genesis is actually born after a long narrative to those of us who believe in I am one that bull that Moses wrote the Pentateuch we understand about the time Moses got this revelation we're looking at the creation we're looking back at the creation Testament say we're looking back we're not getting an eyewitness account of the creation from somebody who was a stenographer taking notes as God created things we are aren't having the information that Moses has received from God when the book of Exodus chapter number 30 33 verse number 23 said ha ha ha I'm going to show you my back parts when he said I'm gonna show you my back parts God was saying I'm going to show you my history I'm gonna show you where it all started I'm gonna show you God did many that you work on show is behind amen I'm gonna show you where it all started and he took him back as far as a human mind could go and as far as we could go he says in the beginning God if you don't understand the bad parts of the thing you can't break it if you don't understand its origin you can't change it if you don't understand its history you can't fix it we talked a lot about destiny but we need to study history because history leaves Clues that I help you with this to me psychology teachers are the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior if you to learn that sooner you might not have married who you married [Applause] i'ma leave that alone and so the next time you go on the day say I want to see your back parts yeah yeah yeah no no keep your pants on that's not what I mean show me who your mama is and show me who your granddaddy is it take me to your house and let me see how they talk to each other so I can understand how you define awful because George awful and Matobo might be two different things out so God says to Moses I'm going to show you my Moses takes out his pen somewhere in the clouds of glory in the fascial I'm surrounded by the dust of clouds of the dew of angels Moses pulls out his billion and begins to write in the beginning God in the beginning God this is not God's beginning in other words as far back as I can go he was still there david says from everlasting to everlasting thou our God he said if you rolled the curtain of time all the way back to the first day God was standing there he couldn't create it if he was not above it in the beginning God let you know the criteria of continuing to read because God does not explain himself he does not prove himself that's why mastis ism is futile because God does not appeal to our intellect to expect his own origin or identity he requires that we faith embrace his pre existence before the evening in the morning were the first day I was there to make the first day become the first day in the beginning somebody shout God if you don't embrace that you can close the book now the problem today is that we know a lot about church but we know nothing about God so we sing songs about ourselves with ourselves for ourselves to entertain ourselves where we used to sing about God we used to sing about his faithfulness and his greatness and his might and his power and now we sing about us because we only want God so we can have a better us but in the beginning God I pray the name would come back that people would start shouting about God and not about cars and not about shoes not about promotions and Ron about new places it used to be an old church I know it wouldn't fancy it we didn't have stained-glass windows and the pews were kind of tough but when we would start singing about God the glory would fall in the building in the Spirit of the Lord would do because when you were Christian back then it meant that you loved God not stage that presents not people not dates not opportunity with God with God are y'all with me for a little while in the beginning and the earth was without form and void and darkness covered the face of the deep and the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the waters the word moved there in Hebrew is reminiscent of a hint sitting on an egg it means brooding brooding means to hatch brooding means to hatch and what excites me about it is that God hops the earth in chaos that he sat on kale see because people today I only think that God is attracted to perfect situations but you have a God who is so powerful and so infinite in his origin and authority that he doesn't mind hatching chaos you should shout right there you don't have to but you should shot right there because even though you look good and you smell good and you're dressed up and even though you got your hair done and even though your extensions match your hair and you look so good and this smells so good you know you are chaos yeah yeah I wish you would look funny because I'll ask your husband you know your chaos I'll call your wife on the phone your kids know your chaos and the only reason we got saved in the first place is that God sits on certain times these are the kinds of times that all of our establishments and institutions are going through metamorphosis and we're not sure where they're going these are chaotic times or even those of us who are in the church are struggling not only with spiritual issues but emotional and mental issues I came to my church one Sunday they told me they said pastor there's a young man in the back of the church and he's dancing like David and I thought oh well leave even long letting dance and then they tell me he's naked and I said huh yes pastor he has taken all of his clothes off in the lobby and he's dancing around and he says he's David and he's naked he's completely naked a few weeks later a lady came running through the church spring air freshener and she said that was her ministry and the reality is yeah laughs I know all you want to but y'all got some folks up here in the DMV there's going some weird stuff too and some strange stuff too the reality is people are imploding because of chaos I can remember when Big Mama and mafia and grandmama held the whole family together and whenever you had marital problems you went to grandmama and while grandmama was making biscuits she would talk to your head and say girl have you lost so mad you need to shut your mouth and get yourself together but now Big Momma can't remember her name because she's got Alzheimer's because they're succumbing to chaos and there are some situations in your life right now you may not want to admit it because you don't want to blow your cover because you're dressed up and you dressed up better than you really are but there's some situations in your life right now that you need God to sit on you need even sit on before it explodes you need to sit on it before it goes crazy you needed but brood over it and a hangover and labor some of you got some children that you wish to God he would just sit on you said everything you know how to say it done everything you know how to do it you need the Holy Ghost to arrest him but the problem with brooding is brooding is a process and we don't have time for process we got to have the service over in 90 minutes and if he don't brood it in 90 minutes it never hatches tell us how long God brooded before he saw change it used to be and I'm not trying to take us back but I can remember what we shut in and stayed all night the Baptist Church head mourners the Pentecostal church were gold 30-day fairs and five weeks of revival and for some of the demons that we're fighting right now God can always get you out by 9:00 o'clock I wish we got some people that would just let God brood over your life at Harbor over your life and speak to your life and I know you're going through therapy you should go through therapy but while they're working on your suicide until you're happy by yourself I mean with no TV or no Facebook no Instagram no Twitter no company no swipe to the left until you're happy by yourself because you keep inviting people into your chaos and then crying because they won't stay oh it's gonna be tough tonight and tell you better pray for me I feel like this is gonna be a two tile night tonight there are some strong have been passing down through generations well we need a brooding presence of God not a quick bass microwave touch from God not a spin around three times and I'm okay no no no no no for some of this we need the brooding of the Holy Spirit just sit on us fill your hands up and say brood over me brood over me means beyond me when I get out of church brood over me means I'm giving I'm in the car and I'm still crying brood over me means I'm worshipping God in the shower brood over be means I'm the praising God while I'm washing my this is brood over me means that you're getting in my life and you're changing stuff and you're bringing the greatness of me that has been every person in this room that wants you to give birth to but I break somebody's water you get back to what God has inside of you and if you suspect there's greatness in you open your mouth [Applause] under this trouble I got some but I got some in practice the fact that I got something on me get through this year I gotta change the culture I have to change the circumstance I got to see some fool man in my life if I got a witness in the house so so sad this is my year to bring about transformative substance changes [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] God says I'm going to give it out of you I'm going to get it out of you and I don't care what's been on ya I'm gonna break through what spit on you so I can get out of your one I put inside of you by the woman down inside of me young man [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] freedom brood over me brood over me brood over me so I want to come against that sphere that keeps telling you that there's nothing in you and then if there were really something in you it would have happened by now that'll win stir fried spirit that has taken over our communities that has made us give up on ourselves and lose hope in the possibility that we could do more that we could change more that we could be more come against it right now don't you know the chaos wouldn't be old yeah if God didn't have something down inside of you every person that's in chaos needs to start shouting because [Music] the conflict is not a sand and I'm worthless the conflict is a sign that I'm valuable and what the scribe is all [Applause] cannot go just a little bit further [Applause] the moving of the spirit should only be a precursor to the speaking of God the moving of the spirit should only be a precursor for the speaking of God we get stuck in the move of the spirit but we don't respect the Word of God and the only reason the spirit moved is so that God could speak to some things speak to it you can't change the culture you won't speak to I said you can't change the culture you all speak I need God to speak to some things I need you to speak to some things and the cultural change starts with you see everybody is blaming the other person and that's the way the enemy tricks you into thinking that the other person is the enemy to distract you from dealing with the chaos in your own life that stops it from transformative thinking you can't control nobody but yourself I wish I had some people that would go for themselves today and stop talking about what everybody else ought to do and say like our grandmothers did it's me it's me it's me so we've gone from the back side to the brooding I'm almost done we've gone from the back side to the brooding and we're about to get to the breakthrough yeah the back side of it the brooding over top of possibilities the brooding over potentials the transformative power of cultural change means that the evolution requires brooding oh it's just going to be a revolution but not an evolution and we keep revolving around the same things over and over again so we don't see true transformation because we are so busy rehearsing our own narrative see Marcus change comes through word but if the word is not true there is no change and until you challenge the story that you've been telling yourself you're not getting sensitive change cuz all you're doing is repeating your POV to those of you don't know whether your point of view and there is no life in your point of view and so after God had brooded the Bible City opened his mouth and clearly [Applause] [Applause] there's not a neon there's not LED light there's not any kind of light there's not a flickering candle light no no there's not an oil lamp anywhere on the earth in this complete darkness can I go a little deeper but you must understand that though we recognize darkness darkness is not a thing darkness is not a thing therefore it is not quantifiable darkness cannot be measured like light because darkness is not a thing darkness in his origin is simply the absence of light that's why you can't have certain watts of darkness because darkness is not an it it's an absence [Applause] I'm not over what I didn't get what didn't happen in my life something in my life that's why God said like darkness and light cannot go habitat in cohabitate in the same space at the same time that's why the interest of our word give of light and wherever there is light darkness has to flee because proudness isn't a thing in the first place it is the absence of a thing and when you bring what I didn't get then promptness can't stay anymore Who am I talking to I'm talking to somebody's head God is about to give you the thing that you didn't get so you don't live in the darkness that you live in before God is saying laughs fair be sad again [Music] San again land on your pocketbook that said again and again and again you just demanded a breakthrough in three and I had two pieces Tex he said I'm known as God said something that confused me he said they gave me what's the first thing I said the day see you don't think you got a new day until the light comes in but God says on the day started [Applause] so watch this watches God said I'm gonna start your new day in your old dark [Music] what's and the evening and the morning what's the first dad who else but God starts the play in the your darkest moment [Applause] yeah the night apples up and I was talking on the phone and when I got off the phone I looked at the text and the text at 12:01 said today and the text I got at 11:58 said yesterday well when the text said I got at 12:01 said today I ran to the window and pull back the blacks [Applause] [Music] but the clock said don't let the pack fool you [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] notice Bishop the order of God's progression does not start with the entrance of light it starts with the darkness of night and God said and the evening and the morning were the first day that means your darkest moments were not wasted your darkest moments [Applause] [Music] your darkest moments your darkest your darkest your darkest your most chaotic your most confusing your most upsetting your most chaotic your most frustrated your most limited your brokest you're in peace you must forlorn your depressed was not in vain than evening huh if there were no evening there would be no first day the first thing starts in the darkest moments of nights now I'm gonna preach to nobody except people who are at the darkest moments of night I want you to know that the darkness is a sign that you have stepped into a new day and the Lord sent me here to tell you don't let the darkness fool don't let the liars booyah don't let back haters fool you don't let the lack of resources fool you you have already crossed over into a brand new day preaching in the dark he said what I started was the evolution to the light starts in the night but my people let the darkness fool them and they honestly believe that because it looks dark that there has been no change I said prove it to me Lord he said that's why I told you to walk by faith and not by sight you can't wait till you see it to reach up and claim it as your promise right now boy am i preaching and then he said to me of all the miracles in the book of Acts there is only one where I note at the time [Music] [Applause] every other miracle in the book of Acts I'd never mentioned what time it was but the Bible says that Paul and Silas were locked in jail check your watch [Applause] not in the morning at midnight Paul and Silas started singing and praising God in the middle of the night and God let Luke write down what time it was tell the church that the best time to praise Him [Music] [Applause] [Music] I need to borrow two minutes and I'm almost done I don't want anybody who's walking in total blessings to praise Him right now for the next three minutes I don't want anybody to praise Him people who have been gone [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] David hemming I want some midnight praise us praise you got two minutes you got a little at 4 o'clock yeah what with me six get second thought if I suck at stuff Spock their till sanity's second twenty-five pockets a second [Music] [Applause] [Music] I'm going to stop let me summarize this dissertation in the most simplistic way possible for your consideration the Lord promised you a new day how many of you he promised a new day you want a new day in your business and your company in your life in your marriage somewhere you've got promise your new day simply said the Lord says the new day starts in dark so every year in January people make resolutions they come to revivals they join Weight Watchers they do all kinds of stuff and if they don't see daylight in 30 days they give up till next year and they digress back to normal you have got to build around you people to see what you see in the dark [Applause] because the word of the Lord to you is don't let the dark fool you the dark is not proof that God is not with you the dark is not proof that God is not on the other side the dark is not proof that your marriage will not work the dark is not proof that your business will not survive the dark is not proof that your book will not sell the dark is not truth that God has not gifted you the dark is not proof that you're not a legitimate pastor the dark is not proof stop looking at who came and who didn't come and who join and did join and who left you and who didn't stay with you the darkness is not a sign of regeneration the evening and the morning were the first thing this is the only sentence that God repeated over and over again every day my days will always start in the dark so do not let the dark he say he just wanna slap me my my my my eyes said it was night but my phone said it was I had to decide whether I was I was going to believe the word I read or the thing I saw there will be massive culture changes coming out of this room complete transformative regeneration you will gather around you people who are not afraid to start the day in the dark what's this stop fighting the dark start prepping for the day so behavior this is important I have to say this I should have said it earlier Holy Spirit brought it back to me said you came out in without saying this the behavior you reward is the behavior they will repeat the enemy doesn't want you to think in new day so he put you in dark so you'd be so busy complaining about dark that you wouldn't reward what is bringing I know in my heart whether it's online whether they're sitting on the couch whether you're sitting in the kitchen whether you're parked in your car with your phone on somebody in this room you are on the cusp of something so much bigger than you have ever imagined it is mind boggling this is not just a revival message this is the word of the Lord do not let the darkness fool I have ordered a new day for your ministry for your city for your church for your preaching for your corporation for your business for your vision for your family for your personal life for your finances I know your credit score is not great right now don't let the dark [Applause] every believer in this building join hands with another believer in this feeling and believe I am NOT asking you to believe what you see I am asking you to believe what you cannot see I am NOT asking you to believe what is working I'm asking you to believe what is not working I am NOT asking you to believe what you have received I'm asking you to believe what you are about to receive [Music] [Applause] [Music] I am asking you to let the darkness encourage you and that midnight [Music] Paul and Salas freed and sing praises unto God and how they reacted to midnight determined what happened next suddenly there was a noise and a shaking and the Bible said the prison doors opened up squeezin hands somebody's doors are about to open them over their life because at midnight all the prisoners got out everything that's been held back is about the brightness [Applause] squeeze man this is bigger than you with you everything [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I told my church at the lowest moment in Elijah's life he got the double portion he'd been waiting on when all hell was breaking loose with tears running down his face and the chariot of fire has taken his father away he did not get the double portion in his happy moments he got the double portion in his crying place squeeze at hand there's a double portion coming to that brother there's a double portion coming to that sister there's a double portion coming in your life there's a double portion coming into your finances and your visit a double portion a double portion a double portion of them abortion it's not just money it's gonna be flavor it's gonna be help it's gonna be relationships is gonna be competence he's gonna be strength but never cross that [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so pastor Jenkins keep that hand joined while it was 12:01 I got my ironing board out and I got my starch and I started pressing my clothes for the morning in the middle of the night I was pressing my suit at 12:01 I was getting ready for morning when I got in the bed about 1 o'clock my wife said you sure did get in the bed like late I said I was getting ready for morning because I know morning starts at midnight what do you need to be pressing if you don't press it tonight it won't be ready in the morning you won't have time in the morning to get ready for this the person you are touching has got to have enough faith to get ready for light at night [Applause] I will share more with you in the morning but tonight I want you to focus on one thing I will not let the darkness fool me [Applause] when God says it's a new day it's not up to the committee s run up to the board is not up to the polls is run up to the census is not up to the newspaper is gone up to the neighbors it's not up to the websites it's not up to the bloggers when God says it's a new day it is a new day I'd better get to pressing my stuff I'd better get my socks out I'd better shine my shoes cuz I won't have time in the morning to be ready God said the blessing is gonna hit you so fast that if you're not ready for it you won't be ready you have got to go right now [Applause] [Music] squeeze that hand why did God not give Eli sure the double portion when he was at befell why have you been given to him when he was at Gilgal why did he wait till he had cross the Jordan and lost the father he given up his natural father to find why did the double portion come when the tears were flowing from his eyes it's always because dave begins at night I hope you touching somebody who's been crying [Applause] I hope you're touching somebody who's been stressed and and and been separated and somebody's left them and their hearts been broken and and and they've been through hell in hot water and I hope you're touching somebody who've been dealing with stuff you couldn't even talk about and at the point of breaking down your double caution comes when you least expect it father I thank you right here and I thank you right now for what you're doing with every touching hand and every open heart I sense the urgency the fierce urgency the fierce the fierce urgency of right now one tick of a clock and that they changed one centimeter of the hand and the date change one click of a number and the day change the darkness was stubborn but the day came anyway and little by little the light drove the darkness back let there be light the things I am preaching about are serious Lord there are forces trying to hold back the light in the lives of your people let there be like me something was holding back light let there be light me something was holding back light whatever the restriction is prank it now [Applause] [Music] [Applause] let hope gush out [Applause] out of the inner crevices of our heart like cracks in a mountaintop filled with the volcano let it erupt down inside of our spirit let dreams and visions and concepts and processes spring forth out of the fiery furnace of our tribulation let the air be filled with the smoke until everything around us is affected by the fact that something on the inside broke through on the outside and you had something tonight you attached something right here at Clinard Baptist Church you enhance a business a company a dream a change of release a whole farm with mothers an accounting office of ministry and outreach a prison rapport let something be hats thank you for [Music] thank you for it in Jesus name Amen break loose and go for yourself go for yourself go for yourself go for yourself [Applause] [Music] in this moment in this moment I want I want everybody that can to get 77 dollars in your hand right now just 77 dollars I'm believing God for a double portion in every area of your life this year a double portion in every area of your life everybody that can if you got 70 70 dollars and a $5 coupon for Pepsi [Applause] two dollars in Green Stamps I'm believing God for a double portion pastor please don't give up on these meetings there is a reason people fly in from all over the country to be a part of this meeting some people set their agenda by this word they know when they walk out of this place to not let the darkness fool them they know that they're on the cusp of a breakthrough they know that they have to go back and transform the culture of the entire organization the only thing wrong with your churches that your vision has stayed in you that's the only thing wrong with you your vision has stayed in you and if a sperm stays in a man there will never be a son you gotta get with people who get it and reward them because they get it until other people become jealous of it and it becomes fashionable to be progressive I feel a change from the balcony to the back to the overflow to online right now right now don't click don't move don't turn let's seal the deal with a simple act of faith you didn't have to sing in the choir you didn't have to dance with the dancers you didn't have to praise with the praise team this is the one thing that only you can do a sacrifice from youth to God that says I get it and if what you believe in God for seventy seven dollars a pay for it then go buy it but if it's only a seed on your dream then so it you are creative that's why God puts you in rough situations because you were created by a creator to be creative that's why they're giving me wants your mind and chaos so you can't think there's something in you that will change your world let it out there'll be no lines and no standing out this is a covenant between you and God a secret promise between you and em and I know that there may be some people who can't do that whatever you can do as close as you can get and if you've got an envelope I know some of you are given on your phone and this is old-school but if you've got an envelope write something that you can't quite see yet on it that's something that the darkness obscures your view from write it on the envelope if it's increasing my staff if it's being married if it's having a baby if it's owning my house let us write the vision let us bring the vision out of the dark let's bring it into the light I've won this this year put it down right and declare it decree they will help you to make better decisions because anything that wasn't worth writing down ain't worth going after it will tell you who to hang around and what meetings to go through and who can strip in what you just wrote is there anybody in here that's got something that's important to them write it down if you gave it know if you gave over your phone text it tweet it speak it put it out declare it bring your dream out of hiding and watch God do it for you without form without fashion without reservation are you ready are you ready are you ready are you ready this is a moment stand to your feet with your seat in your hand nobody leaving nobody very God you take a bite of that you get happy all the way down in your toes I know and I'm translating I'm teasing everybody but these pagans and pescetarian all astronauts and all that other stuff y'all eat man you're supersonic eat us so we all eat grass I know you look better than me but I'm happy you cute but you hungry as you did how many people glad you came tonight I'll be here in the morning at ten ten o'clock ten o'clock to wrap up the whole conclusion of the matter I have so much to say to you there are some things I can say during the day that are more appropriate during the day than that night they have a different flow to them a different feel to them bow your heads with me for just a moment as the Deacons and the ushers conduct their business bow your heads close your eyes for just a moment because when you close your eyes you can't see anybody with you no music at all do you know God does he know you are you trying to do his work without his presence are you trying to experience transformation through your own flesh are you your own physician The Fool has himself for a lawyer if you're in this room and you drifted away from him if you're in this room and you don't know him if you're in this room and you let somebody get on your nerves so bad that you walked away from your god this is the last night of the revival how long will you allow hurt and bitterness to seclude you to isolate you to alienate you from having a vibrant functional relationship with God listen you don't have to be perfect to be his child you don't have to be perfect nobody in this room is perfect everybody in this room is flawed in some way Christianity is not defined by the purity of the follower it is the holiness of our leader and he has such flamboyant grace he has such flamboyant grace that His grace is promiscuous if you want some you can have some if you got tracks in your arm you can have some if you're hiv-positive you can have some if you just climb down off a stripper pole you can have some if you got a secret so filthy you can't tell anybody you can still have them if your mama stops speaking to you and your dad and put you out if your uncle raped you if you've been abused if you've been molested if you've been at the point of blowing your brains out grace is so promiscuous that you can have some she's walking up and down the aisle flirting with you right now giving you an opportunity to have everlasting life you can have more degrees than a thermometer but if you don't have Jesus your food you're in this room and you don't load Jesus sure you can fake the sure you can say all the Christian colloquialism an act like you're one of us and yes you can even fool us but you cannot fool him please do not let this service close without giving your life to Christ not to me I'm a guy like you no better no worse I'm just you of just made out of dirt and clay and spit and weird just like you this is not about me this is not about this building you can take the cross down and turn it into a skating rink this is not about this building this is about a relationship between you and God [Applause] you know you don't want to face this year without Jesus and you know that you're not in covenant relationship with him like you should be I'm gonna ask you to have great courage great great courage great great courage it takes courage to admit that you need to change I'm gonna ask you to have the kind of courage that makes you stand up on your feet and say pray for me I need to change my life just right where you are just stand up all over the building I don't care what you got on I don't care what you look like I don't care if we got to wrap you up in a sheet I don't care whether you dressed up in the finest or whether you got a bagel and I want you to stand up and say I need more for 2020 than I had in 2019 I need Christ in my life would you stand would you have the courage to stand all the way in the balcony would you have the courage to stand this family say I need God to be the mama I need to be I need God to be the man I need to be that I'm trying to be something that I never did see and I need God in my life stand up I see you I see you stand up don't worry about people and what they think who are they anyway what difference does it make who cares what they think who cares what they think who cares what they think who cares what they think who cares what they think you had the courage to stand Jesus had the power to die so you could stand he died so you could stand up he died so you could have the right to the Tree of Life he died so that there could be transformation that's more than pills this more than therapy there's more than a makeover this is a hard over he wants to give you a new heart those of you that are standing I want you to come down to this altar and stand right in front of me and I just want their opportunity to believe God with you for change I want you to come down this hour I want you to come down this hour I want you to come down this aisle as boldly as you know how I want you to believe God for something that seemed impossible and seemed crazy and seeing ridiculous that costs you nothing but will give you everything I want to offer Christ to you today without form without crash and without routine without religion without reservation I came to offer you a relationship with God sup I need a ride home with you some an interrupt you to sleep at night somebody to hold your head together oh I wish I had a happy Church right now somebody's door has come me Jesus somebody's momma's come to the Lord somebody's son that they've been praying for for years and years just came to Jesus somebody's husband just came to the Lord somebody somebody somebody the any man wanted to commit suicide just walk down this aisle and gave their life to Jesus some came from a mansion some came from a shelter but they all came to the cross [Applause] in a moment pastor Jenkins and Bishop Owens are going to come and they're going to take you further in the service but I want the privilege myself apprehend with you I want to pray with you because one day I took a bottle of pills and I cried because I woke up I want to pray for you because I know what it is to hurt so bad you wanted [Music] I want to pray for you because I know what it is to be hungry I know what it is to have kids I couldn't feed and I know what it is to not have any gas in my car and I know what it is for them to take my car and I know what it is for them to pull the meter out so that I couldn't turn the gas by cord and I know what it is to sleep in a cold house and I know what it is to go pick apples to feed my kids because I had no food at all and I know what it is to be on the verge of being in the street I know what it is to be heartbroken there are no pills for a broken heart I know what it is to have pain so bad that I thought I would lose my mind I know what it is to drop tears over an open grave and watch my loved ones go down in the ground and you can only hurt bad with you love horror and I know what it is to feel like I was so filthy that God could never use me and when he called me to preach I asked him to go get one of them good people cuz I felt like I was not eligible to be used by a God like him and 43 years later before I pray with you if there is somebody sitting there and you know in your heart that you should have been up here and you know I'm describing something that's happening in your life I don't want to pray until you get up here and I want you to muster up the courage to step over your inhibition and run down to this altar because this is supposed to be your day yeah come on down yeah come on down yeah come on down yeah come on down there is hope there is hope there he is a sucker tear there he is like there is change come on down you are not forgotten you are not alone you are not in this world by yourself you are not cast down you are not utterly forsaken come on down I want you up under the canopy of this prayer I want the blanket of the love of this church to envelop you in such a supernatural way that you will never be the same again come on down come on down my sister says that Christianity is simply one beggar telling another beggar where he found the bread and I want to tell you where I found the bread come on down my god they're still coming my god this tooth oh my god they're still coming this is what the DMV needs this is what the White House needs this is what the world needs this is what the crack house needs this is what the church house needs this is what revival looks like is not the same old church folk with the same old testimony is sweet Mac and Jimmy Jim and freaky Freddy and everybody coming down to the blood of the cross and piety heater like that is submission of the church there ain't nothing in your life going on so bad that Jesus won't wrap his arms around you and love you back to hell nothing nothing nothing I don't care what she did and who you did it with God loves you yeah don't let the darkness fool you you have come for a new day every believer standing pointing this way as we pray for somebody's child every person sleeping on the street is somebody's child every person strung out on drugs and selling drugs was somebody's baby that mama rocked in her arms and had a dream for their life every person standing on the street or or standing on the strip club or hanging off a pole was once somebody's dream there on this altar and there in this church and I want you to point at them because if we don't win this battle for them this may be our last chance and I'd rather pray for you than bury you I am sick to death of going funerals I wouldn't care if I never did another funeral in my life our church does 400 funerals a year I would rather see you on this altar they'll see you in a box in front of it lift your hands up and get ready for change just as I am without one plea but that thy blood was shed for me and that thou bidst me come to the old Lamb of God I come just as I am and waiting not to rid my soul of one dog blood and the one that can cleanse each spot o Lamb of God just as that's all I can come and say I am that's all I can be as I am I come back I might experience the change that your word says it's possible to them that believe I realize that my new day may start at night and I may have things in my life that you have to work through and work out and work on but I will never turn back because right now in front of all these thousands of people I give my life to you I believe you died on the cross that I might have the right to the Tree of Life I believe that your blood is enough to purchase my Redemption and right where I stand and right where I kneel and with tears running down my face I lift my hands and I open my heart and I give my life to you wash me in your blood once my sins away once my shame away washes my guilt away wash my animosity my hatred my need for revenge and sabotage wash it all away wash away the curse of my past and my childhood watch the way the curses of the generations I came through to get where I am wash it all away wash it all away wash it and I shall be whiter than snow for Lamb of God I come father I thank you that I have the faith to believe that my life has changed by the power of your word father I thank you that I'm gonna walk in a new path I'm gonna walk away from some old friends that I had in two new doors and new dimensions and new idioms of thought I thank you Lord that my new life starts right now for me this is January 1 for me this is about new years for me this is the night that my new year begins for me this is the moment that I hit the right road ready to run thank you for it in Jesus name [Applause]
