LIZA: I'm so excited to be here you don't have to cause I'm obsessed with you yes JAMES: Love that Liza: See am I not? LIZA: I'm so excited look at me this literally looks like a fan edit like I look like SisterStan47 and I edited myself in with you [James laughs] JAMES: Well I am so beyond excited because clearly you have no makeup on right now LIZA: ok clearly JAMES: And I do [Both laugh] LIZA: This needs a lot of help, please help me JAMES: No it doesn't. You're so beautiful. LIZA: Thank you JAMES: We're just gonna- LIZA: i'm just looking for a compliment. BOTH: [Laughing] JAMES: I love that LIZA: I got it. BOTH: [Laughing] James: I'm really excited because I've been wanting to film together for literally so long now I feel like we're finally able to like make it happen God Bless You've been gone for quite a minute LIZA: I know JAMES: but we've been texting for like months straight now I'm like, girl, you're coming over, we're making this happen. LIZA: Yeah, baby! I'm here! JAMES: So... For today's video- LIZA: I just wanted the editing claps JAMES: Oh, yes. LIZA: Did you push in on me? JAMES: Oh yeah there were three zoom ins, all at 10% right there. LIZA: Can we do it together? JAMES: Yeah, ready? LIZA: [quieter] Thank you. JAMES: That was very good, that was good. JAMES: For today's video, I want to glam you up. LIZA: Please, do. I've actually never been, like glammed up with like, different colors... [quieter] and I know you just released, like, a palette, or something? JAMES: I did! I just released the brand new James- LIZA: I went to his party I got this for free! JAMES:You did! LIZA: I'm also wearing, wait, hold up, let me just show... JAMES: Yeah you should LIZA: Let me plug your merch real quick JAMES: Please do! LIZA: Look! Look at this! JAMES: The sisters booty shorts, too! LIZA: I wore leggings with it because I forgot to shave but that's okay LIZA: Look at that! Look at that booty! JAMES: So cute! Available at sisters-apparel.com JAMES: Kinda fun. LIZA: It's just shorts on me though. I have no booty so I can't call them "booty shorts." JAMES: Okay, me! Can relate, unfortunately! JAMES: So, I did, I just released my brand new palette. LIZA: It's beautiful! JAMES: Thanks Sister. LIZA: Thank you for sending it to me! JAMES: Yeah, you're welcome. Liza: Still haven't got it yet. JAMES: You- You were literally on the PR list, so I don't know where you lost it. LIZA: Was I? JAMES: Yeah! LIZA: Somebody's fired! JAMES: Well you'll get one today. LIZA: HAHA! LIZA: This just arrived at my house. LIZA: Are you kidding! LIZA: [Jokingly] Im selling the other one. LIZA: Look at it, its so pretty! JAMES: So have you never seen this in person then? LIZA: No i've never actually seen it in person. [Silence] JAMES: You're kidding LIZA: I've never seen you in person until your party JAMES: YEAH! LIZA: You have the same essence as Barack Obama LIZA: Hey Barack! JAMES: OH I love that, what does that mean? LIZA: You- you're like just as like pretty and like have an essence in person as he does. JAMES: I love that, thanks sister! LIZA: You're beautiful. (I'm obsessed with him) JAMES: Oh thanks, you too!! I love that. LIZA: I like giving compliments and sucking up. sister suck. JAMES: OH we love- we LOVE a good sister suck here on this channel. BOTH: [Laughing] JAMES: So for today's video I thought it'd be so much fun to just sit down, chit chat with Liza I feel like we have SO much that I wanna talk about and just glam her up for a real one. I have, I think a look in mind that I wanna do maybe- What are you (Liza) feeling? LIZA: I want anything like fun and colorful and just like have fun with it. JAMES: Ok, down! LIZA: Unleash your inner artist, unleash on my face. James: [quieter] Oh I love unleashing on your face.. LIZA: [quieter] Let yourself go on my face. BOTH: [Laughing] JAMES: So without further ado should we just jump right in? LIZA: Yes! JAMES: Lets go. LIZA: Transition! [Music] LIZA: Did it do that little paint thing? JAMES: Yeah, it did. LIZA: Yes, oh my god I LOVE it! JAMES: I just did the little paint thing. LIZA: I'm actually just like such a stan. JAMES: I'm literally so excited to be doing this today Okay so, I wanna talk about the fact that like we've never done anything before. LIZA: No, and we just met! JAMES: Which is crazy cause we've been texting for the past like literally two years. LIZA: Yeah! JAMES: And I wanna put you on blast for a little bit for a second.. LIZA: Go for it! JAMES: Because literally Liza had my number SO long ago and when I was first starting on youtube you (Liza) would literally text me like all the time being like "Oh just watched your new video it was so good" It's not really putting you on blast but I just thought it was always so sweet cause I've always- LIZA: Yeah you said to put me on blast and you just complimented me JAMES: Well then you changed your number and we lost contact an then I DM'd you about it- and then you were like "oh just text me" and I was like (?) LIZA: I change my numbers when I wanna stop texting people. JAMES: Mhm, I love that. LIZA: That's why I have two phones, one is for David and one is for just other people. [Both Laugh] LIZA: No but I was obsessed with watching your videos and I think you're such a sweet, sweet souled sister- I'm trying really hard, when do I not(?) LIZA: No you're such a talented human being and I was obsessed with watching you. JAMES: Well that always meant so much to me because you were a content creator- well I mean still are but LIZA: "You were", past tense JAMES: Well when you stop posting for six months thats what happens LIZA: It's been nine months thank you, give me a break JAMES: Oh, god! LIZA: Give me a break.. JAMES: You just had one LIZA: I took one, yeah JAMES: I've always looked up to you and I just think your videos are just, so good! LIZA: Really? JAMES: Yeah, I would always just watch them and watch the jokes you make and how much effort would be put into them- and I don't really like comedy LIZA: Neither do I JAMES: Ok LIZA: Uh-huh JAMES: Like I would literally rather die than sit and watch a comedy movie I don't know why, It's just not something that i was ever into. LIZA: [acknowledging] Yeah.. JAMES: So I really honestly stray away from a lot of comedy stuff cause I just don't find a lot of things funny, which is like weird to say but I would always binge watch your videos and literally sit there and cry laughing. LIZA: You'd really watch them!? JAMES: Yeah, swear to god LIZA: Thank you! Thats so fun.. and fresh JAMES: Yeah, so when you started following me and supporting me it meant a lot So I've always been super excited and just thankful for your friendship. LIZA: Thank you, you're also like twelve so you have like a low standard for humour so my video's did entertain you, thank you so much. JAMES: Yeah, just a little So you have been gone for quite a while... LIZA: Mhm, nine months! [Laughs] It's literally been nine months today this is like the nine months anniversary JAMES: How's the baby LIZA: She's good, she's well, she's cute.. I don't know who the daddy is but thats okay JAMES: It's probably me LIZA: Oooh that'd be a beautiful ba by, that would be gorgeous! JAMES: We should do that, that would be good for publicity LIZA: A spicy, sweet sister! JAMES: That can be your comeback video, her birth! LIZA: Okay good. Oooh open wide, open up.. JAMES: [Laughs] LIZA: Sorry, sorry! JAMES: So obviously you were uploading very very consistently and then had your YoutubeRed show, which I absolutely loved, watched every single episode, always texted you LIZA: Oh my god, plug everything! Guys go buy sister merch [Both laugh] JAMES: And then you kind of peace'd out for a while! LIZA: I did, I did JAMES: We've talked about it a little but I am still wondering- LIZA: You want the sister scorching hot tea? JAMES: Yeah I do! Like are you good, are you okay like what has been going on? LIZA: I'm good, I'm good. Okay so, basically I stopped like making videos because I was making Liza On Demand and it was literally so demanding to make. I got to be a producer and I got to be like partially a director and i got to be a writer and I got to be all of these amazing things and put on these different hats and stuff and it was so fun! I just wanted to work with other people, I've been working in my living room and just like screaming at myself for the past two- two and a half/three years JAMES: [Acknowledging] Right LIZA: and I just wanted to work with others. I do everything by myself and a lot of people don't know that cause i don't really like open up about it but I- I do everything on my own so i write everything and then I shoot everything and then I charge my own cameras and I don't have people behind the camera for me at all, hey how you doing! JAMES: [Laughs] You are so brave LIZA: Yeah I'm so brave, thank you I just wanted to work with other people and i got so excited by that when I started working with them I just fell in love with the whole process, I realised that it could be not lonely and I got excited by that I felt bad, I just didn't have enough time to create on my Youtube channel and do Liza On Demand JAMES: It definitely yeah- LIZA: But people think I sister sold my soul which yes I am Go buy my merch! [BOTH LAUGHING] LIZA: No but I just didn't have time for it all and then I also felt really alone doing it all too so I wanted to have fun again and find my passion again and take care of my mental health and I felt like you could start to tell in my videos that I just lost my passion for it, I just seemed less excited. So I didn't want to force anything anymore- JAMES: Which I think is really important too LIZA: Yeah, you gotta- you gotta prioritize your mental health, I think thats been a big thing on Youtube especially this year too and like with Shane's videos, everybody's prioritizing taking care of their anxiety or their depression or whatever, everybody has their demons. JAMES: I've definitely had to take a few breaks over the course of my Youtube- LIZA: I know and I'm glad you did because you are a workaholic JAMES: Yeah LIZA: It's insane, he was answering so many emails right before we started filming and I had to literally pretend I was texting people saying "I'm right next to James and I'm pretending to do something" and the only thing I did was approve my gynaecology appointment. JAMES: Oh I love that LIZA: Thank you JAMES: I don't know I just really like working and I've always- LIZA: It's a good thing but you started when you were sixteen JAMES: Mhmm LIZA: You're nineteen, you're the age that I was when I started JAMES: Really?! LIZA: Yeah I started at nineteen, that's the age I was when I uploaded my first video How ya doing JAMES: Oh thats kinda fun and fresh LIZA: Thank you Fun and fresh, I'm feeling like really unentertained and a little expired so help me out here JAMES: Oh my god. Well speaking of and i'm sure everybody's wanting to know, do you have plans on coming back? LIZA: I do have plans on coming back and it was actually really sweet because James texted me asking me " Do you need any help, let me know if you wanna ever bounce around ideas!" and no one has ever asked me that JAMES: Really? LIZA: Which is really like sweet- not like- I mean my friend group is- obviously they care and they wanna help me too but I don't know it was just really sweet of you to even say "I wanna bounce around ideas" cause I do everything by myself and I would love to JAMES: Well yeah, I mean I know what it feels like to get in a creative rut, I definitely try really hard to post consistently good content on my channel LIZA: You do and you do! JAMES: I really favour quality over quantity so i know what it feels like to get in a rut and not know what to film and it's literally one of the most detrimental feelings ever, like it's horrible. LIZA: My things literally has been that I'm not in a creative rut, that's the scary part I'm not in a creative rut, I have all these scripts and all these videos actually filmed I'm just low in the confidence to post it now JAMES: Liza!! LIZA: Yeah I know, look at me I'm beautiful but like it's so hard being this cute [BOTH LAUGH] JAMES: Okay, can relate. That I can relate to! LIZA: But genuinely I do- I do really wanna post again it's just, it's been a weird- It's been a weird year but I'm excited to like- I'm finding my passion again JAMES: Okay good! Are you scared because it's been so long that like- LIZA: Yeah and like i feel bad and i feel guilty and i feel like I've left so many kind of like- I've never been open like I've never had even a video where I'm just sitting down and talking JAMES: Oh we love and the drama being here LIZA: Oh yes! JAMES: We love spilling the tea! Well I know I miss you on Youtube LIZA: You miss me? JAMES: Like the Youtube communities can just be a really dark place sometimes and like no matter what your videos were always a very very consistently super positive and funny- LIZA: Oh my god thank you so much, keep going what else where they! JAMES: -place to be [Laughs] LIZA: What else am I? JAMES: Just really funny, cute, entertaining- LIZA: aesthetically pleasing JAMES: Mmhm LIZA: Thank you JAMES: Your apartment is very cute i will say- LIZA: [Louder] Thank you! BOTH: We have very similar taste LIZA: You like white, I like white.. boys I'm just kidding [Both Laugh] LIZA: We experiment with the rainbow, have you seen his palette(?) I'd date everybody on that palette No but what about you? What drives you, what do you want out of all of this? What's the driving force behind everything too? JAMES: Look forward! LIZA: Hello JAMES: Oh I'm scared of that forehead contour, okay we're gonna blend that out really good! So for me, I'm really driven by like challenging myself. I just like making people happy too I grew up getting bullied a lot by different kids and I've always had a very very thick skin So I've always been able to kind of deal with it but I know so many kids can't I just really like having my my channel be a place where people can go just to laugh and have a good time and learn maybe a little bit about makeup at least in some of the videos LIZA: Yeah! JAMES: And just have a chill moment , I don't know I fell like the world is so dark LIZA: You've turned your insecurities into your career JAMES: Literally! LIZA: Same JAMES: I mean, insecurities into my career, my scandals into my career literally just about everything at this point but i feel like that's why my following has been able to grow LIZA: No, You're so honest and i appreciate that so much you have no idea JAMES: Really? LIZA: Cause I've always scripted my videos that i don't really like talk- I genuinely don't think my answers to any questions about myself are actually interesting so i script things to make it sound like fun JAMES: Really? LIZA: Yeah! Fun and fresh you know? JAMES: Yeah! LIZA: [Laughs] LIZA: I look good! Look at me! JAMES: I really wanna accentuate your cheekbones because you have super bomb ones! LIZA: Really? JAMES: Mhm LIZA: I don't have cheekbones JAMES: Mmm yeah you do LIZA: [Higher pitch] Really? JAMES: You just have to use the right colors to accentuate them LIZA: Look at you, look at you! Look at that pimple you turned into a mole [BOTH GASP] LIZA: [Laughs] JAMES: I'm so sorry I'm so sorry LIZA: No that was good, that was actually thick JAMES: That is disgusting LIZA: I wish it would've landed in my mouth JAMES: Ugh LIZA: James spitting on Liza for 10 minutes straight I honestly am doing this collab so I can be in one of those videos JAMES: Oh perfect, there will definitely be one LIZA: [excitedly] Yes! Oh okay wait.. [Dramatic Pause] LIZA: I just wanted them to have something JAMES: Oh great, perfect LIZA: Give them something to cut to JAMES: Perfect, perfect LIZA: I've never had my makeup done by anybody in the beauty community, Which by the way you guys are amazing, your party was so fun JAMES: Oh did you like it? LIZA: Yeah! JAMES: I'm really glad, I was so excited that you showed up! This foundation is matching pretty good so far Okay so since I do my own makeup literally all the time and I don't really do that many collabs either I've never gotten the chance to do a woman of color on my channel before, like their makeup LIZA: [Gasps] I'm your first little brown girl? JAMES: Yeah! LIZA: Thank you so much, my brand! JAMES: So I was really really excited for today's video but also really nervous too because the undertones for people of color versus white people are very different LIZA: No, It's very tough and like i've always had a purple hue whenever someone does my makeup on set sometimes, (no shade Liza, no shade) But Ive always had a purple kind of undertone but I have a naturally red or yellow undertone JAMES: Yeah LIZA: Right? do I? JAMES: Yes, yes LIZA: But no it's hard to like nail it but I feel really good I feel really buttery right now JAMES: Okay thats good! LIZA: Look at that JAMES: I feel like doing people of color skin is so much fun because literally you get to add so much contrast LIZA: Oh yeah! JAMES: And it like [moans] you just have the best skin, it's so good LIZA: Oh i'm like one of those transformation photos like on twitter when you see the power of makeup like "don't trust girls in makeup" I am that JAMES: So I am going to now powder you and set you in place LIZA: James this looks so good! JAMES: Really? LIZA: Yeah! JAMES: Okay thank god LIZA: Well also I like love sucking up people, you already know this but.. JAMES: Yes [Laughs] LIZA: Can I show you the makeup look that I tried to do for your party? JAMES: ... Yeah LIZA: Okay so I went to your Instagram and I also watched a tutorial too, to see how to do my base.. JAMES: Yes LIZA: Which by the way looked nothing like this but but i tried.. I went to this photo and I was like "Okay I'm gonna look exactly like that" No I did not [Laughs] JAMES: Wait let me see, I love the amount of facetune on this first of all LIZA: Thank you- wait no there's no facetune on that. Kept it natural just like your Instagram JAMES: ...Right.. yes [BOTH LAUGH] LIZA: Mmm.. this is like.. JAMES: Should we try to do that look on you today? LIZA: [Gasps] Please JAMES: Do you want that look? LIZA: Actually yeah, could we? JAMES: Okay LIZA: We can do that? JAMES: Yeah I can try LIZA: You can do that on me? JAMES: Mhmm I'll try my hardest and that's what counts LIZA: Try hard- Good luck Charlie, James Charlie What are you using to p- what JAMES: Laura Mercier and just the beauty blender as well LIZA: Oh JAMES: Just to melt everything- LIZA: Is that better than Ben Nye? JAMES: Well okay so a banana powder is gonna be really good for deeper skin tones so I'm definitely going to use a more yellow shade when it comes to setting your under eyes or going over top of it LIZA: Okay JAMES: But I don't really have any in my collection just because whenever I get PR packages I usually give away all of my deeper skin tone complexion products to my assistant or other makeup artists that work around me in my industry cause I'm not gonna get any use out of them and I'd rather have them go to people that need them I get so much makeup on an every day basis and I'll never- LIZA: I know JAMES: play with a lot of it so I would so much rather donate it to woman's shelters or give it to working artists who i know need it or can't afford it cause I'm not ever gonna use it, there's no point in it sitting in my closet but now I'm having to pay for this collab so- LIZA: [Laughs] JAMES: We're gonna make it work LIZA: You're incredibly generous by the way One, I see you give back to your audience all the time which is so- makes me so happy and obviously them so happy but you're also so uplifting of other creators and that's what I loved about your campaign, that was really fun to see JAMES: Oh, thank you! LIZA: Yeah, it made me wanna become a makeup artist so that I can get a tag from you JAMES: Mmmhm [Both Laugh] LIZA: Do you want kids? JAMES: Absolutely not! LIZA: No?! JAMES: No! LIZA: Really? JAMES: No! LIZA: Uh! I feel like just your makeup looks on your children would be a great channel family vlog- come on! JAMES: Oh my god, can you imagine? LIZA: Baby makeup aww! JAMES: Mm that's a scandal LIZA: Oh actually that's a scandal, yeah that's a big scandal don't do that, don't do that! [Laughs] LIZA: Look at me! JAMES: Beautiful and fun and fresh.. LIZA: Thank you so much JAMES: Okay so one thing that I talk about on my channel a lot and that my subscribers like hearing me talk about, or at least I think so is business obviously LIZA: Oh yeah JAMES: And the one thing that I've discussed quite a lot is the difference between traditional media celebrities and Youtube/digital media and how there is a huge disconnect in the space and I feel like you're one of the very few creators who's done a really great job at bringing their brand to more- LIZA: Thank you JAMES: traditional media So I wanna ask, how do you feel about that? What are you planning for your own future in that? LIZA: Oh, see it don't plan. That's why I haven't uploaded but like, I don't actually know exactly what I'm doing. I've just kinda always gone with the flow with things JAMES: Yeah LIZA: With traditional and digital I feel like there's been a nice blurred line now. Will Smith is doing Youtube, that's crazy! That's so cool, the fact that a traditional celebrity is starting to dabble in creating on social media and they're allowing their life to be put out there more and being more vulnerable by sharing their experiences. Even Jada Smith ( I know the Smith's) Jada Smith doing red table talks that's so cool JAMES: It's cool LIZA: It's so cool and it's so open and it's so raw and it's so exciting to see them do that, that's stepping into a whole new world. JAMES: Yeah it really is LIZA: Someone who I really respect in this space is Josh Peck because he has like reinvented himself multiple time JAMES: Yeah! So would you say that you definitely feel like there's a good shift happening in the right direction? LIZA: Oh yeah, a thousand percent! I think people are taking social media a lot more seriously in terms of it being considered a stepping stone to a career or being considered an actress or being considered a host JAMES: Yeah LIZA: It- It's just exciting, I love it- JAMES: Sorry you can keep going LIZA:I thought that was you spitting on my face JAMES: No LIZA: Thank you That means- JAMES: I think you're one of the ones that have done a really good job at starting that conversation LIZA: I tried, I really wanted to blur that line because its just another way for people to come up in whatever community they want to come up in, whether that be beauty or that be entertainment it's just a way to showcase your talent or whatever you have to offer the world and I think it's really cool that we have this opportunity, we live in this literally digital age that you can do that JAMES: I want to add some blush, for blush i'm gonna use a little bit of 'code James' mixed with the shade 'literally' LIZA: For 10% off? JAMES: Yeah! I'm gonna give you a quick little spritz of setting spray as well Hello [SPRAY NOISE] LIZA: [Whispers] Thank you JAMES: You're so welcome LIZA: Are my eyelids big? JAMES: They are so- I'm so excited for this look today because you have lots of room LIZA: Thank you JAMES: I'm gonna use just a little bit of these powders mixed together So I'm just gonna press a little bit of this onto the centre points of your face just to bake Oh that's a good brow! I'm gonna clean it up but it's pretty good (Using the Anastasia brow definer in the shade 'dark brown') LIZA: If I say brand names too, will people send stuff to me? cause i love Tarte and I also love Benefit and Anasta- [stutters] Anastasia and Morphe JAMES: Are you on any PR lists? LIZA: I just got a bunch of PR packages- JAMES: Yeah you definitely did LIZA: I felt it Look at the eyebrows! JAMES: Do you like them? LIZA: Yes, they're sisters! No actually, they're twins JAMES: I'm gonna start off by priming your lids using a Mac Paint Pot in the shade 'laying low' LIZA: Oooh, me on Youtube! [James Laughs] JAMES: So I'm gonna start by packing the dark purple shade of the palette which is called 'escape' Oh wow, okay LIZA: Is that from your palette? JAMES: Yes, it is LIZA: Oooh JAMES: On an M456 brush I'm just gonna tuck this right into here and roughly blend it out What would you say has been your favourite moment in your career? LIZA: Oh my god, I literally don't know because it's been like a whirlwind and a blessing and also like a blackout I blackout every time really cool things happen, It's like my brain trying to protect itself I think, I dunno Met Gala, I was blacked out the entire time JAMES: How did that even happen? That is so cool! LIZA: It was [emphasis] amazing, like it was so exciting and so nerve racking at the same time You could definitely tell I was nervous, I was shaking JAMES: I'd be so nervous LIZA: Sister shooketh to my core and I was losing my mind with all the incredible people I was meeting Those are all my idols and people I love and it wasn't even shown on camera but I got to meet Mindy Kaling- JAMES: Oh I love her! LIZA: People who I just love and respect in the entertainment industry and comedically as women of color too It's so exciting to meet your idols but um- JAMES: And seeing them in person and getting to say thank you for what they've done for you LIZA: Yes! And there was so many comments and stuff that I did say but obviously it's and interview and they wanna like- little side commentary that we'd make they'd cut out of the video so you don't even get to see the whole thing but it was such an honour to do. That was one of my 'Oooh tea, sip it now'- JAMES: Moments? LIZA: Yeah, yeah! Because I was chewed out online for what I was wearing and how I looked and that was a big breaking point for me because I've never handled a [whispers] scandal before and so, it was tough on me. JAMES: Yeah definitely, it can be challenging to deal with for sure. Take it from me! LIZA: But I wish- I watched your video the other day of your flashback Mary [quieter] for the first time, I'm not that big of a fan I watched it and I was like "Wow I wish I had done something like this to comedically address it and make light of it because it is, everything has it's time and it's always passing and things come and go and you just gotta move on. It was like a step in traditional media JAMES: Yeah LIZA: It was scary JAMES: Yeah LIZA: But I'm really glad I did it, I try do things that scare me. JAMES: I'm taking the yellow shade 'Bee' right above Liza's orange that I just put there I'm gonna grab that same paint pot and I'm gonna use this to cut out your crease so I can layer on the yellow I'm basically gonna pack the same colors that I put on Liza's crease into the lid now as well. In the same order, using literally the same brushes Starting off with 'love that' to blend into the purple, I'm going in with a little bit of 'you're kidding' I'm going to start doing your lower lash right now so I'm just gonna plop some purple under here and connect it upwards So I'm just packing 'social blade' right over top right in the inner corner LIZA: I've actually never checked Social Blade JAMES: That is a total lie, LIZA: Uh, no JAMES: That is a lie LIZA: No JAMES: That is a lie and you know it LIZA: I've checked it once before JAMES: Mmhm, there it is LIZA: Uhu, checked it once...a day [laughs] No but I used to look at it when I started growing I guess but then I just felt that it wasn't good for me- to look at that kind of stuff, so I just stopped. JAMES: It can definitely get toxic LIZA: Yeah.. LIZA: Wow! JAMES: Okay I'm gonna brush off the excess so we can actually see what's going on here I think that's the eyeshadow portion all complete, shall we move on to like lashes and things now? LIZA: Yeah JAMES: [Squeals] LIZA: I'm so excit- this is so good JAMES: [In British accent] We're going to glue it on for a real one LIZA: [In British accent] Oh thank you, am I a real one? JAMES: Yeah you are a real one LIZA: [In British accent] Most authentic thank you, yes JAMES: Let's just pop it on here I think that is one eye all complete LIZA: Oh my god, it's beautiful JAMES: Wow that looks really fun LIZA: Look at it, look at it with the merchandise! JAMES: How do you feel so far? LIZA: I feel pretty! Wow this is really, really beautiful JAMES: Do you like it? LIZA: Yeah, I love it JAMES: Oh Yay! LIZA: Do you love it? JAMES: I do, I love it! Okay well that took kind of a while so I feel like we should take a little break go off camera, do the other eye and come back to finish the rest of the face LIZA: Okay, we'll be right back [mimicking transition sound] There was a transition right? JAMES: Yes LIZA: Okay good [laughs] [TRANSITION SOUND] JAMES:This is so dramatic for literally no reason LIZA: I know , I know JAMES: Ready? One, two, three open! [Silence] LIZA: It's okay [both laugh] LIZA: This is beautiful, this is gorgeous It's okay, it's like not narcissistic for me to just look at the screen? JAMES: No, yeah you can look LIZA: Okay because biiii- [sound of object falling] LIZA: Ooops, sorry Morphe! LIZA: Wow! JAMES: Let's do your highlight, so I wanna give you a quick sister spritz of some more setting spray I always love doing this just to get the skin nice and moist and hydrated before adding on a highlight So, I'm gonna grab the shade= a little bit of a mix of 'so good' and maybe a little bit 'wig' from the palette too LIZA: That is good and fresh and also fun JAMES: Mmmhm JAMES: Oh yeah there she is! LIZA:Look at that! JAMES: Mmmhm JAMES: I'm gonna put a little bit on right above your eyebrows as well I love highlighting up here I don't know why, it just makes the face look really nice and hydrated LIZA: Less work in photoshop too JAMES: Yeah LIZA: Wow that's really pretty JAMES: Little bit on the centre of the forehead Oh there it is! Do you see it? LIZA: Yeah JAMES: Gonna pop a little something special LIZA: Ohh something special JAMES: Mmhm BOTH: [Surprised] Ohh ! LIZA: Oh that's something special alright! JAMES: Uhu, she's something special LIZA: Oh wow, that's so pretty JAMES: I'm gonna grab a little bit more of the shade 'literally' the blush shade that we grabbed before and use this to blend together that highlight and the blush and contour Now I'm going to highlight the tip of your nose by leaving a little dollop right on there Okay so next we have out lipity-do-das LIZA: mmm JAMES: Let's do a nude LIZA: Love nude JAMES: Okay yeah me too LIZA: Oh that's a pretty color, thank you JAMES: This is my favourite nude LIZA: That's like the colour of my nipple so it's gonna be a good color JAMES: Yes, have you seen that video of mine? LIZA: Yep JAMES: You have been around for so long! LIZA: HI ! JAMES: That video is like two years old! LIZA: Big stan [both laugh] James: Okay so I'm gonna line your lips using the ColorPop lip liner, this is in the color 'curvii' It's my all time favorite nude and it works for literally all skin types too which is the best part about it I think that's good, now we're just going to color them in LIZA: With who, who's she? JAMES: This is Ofra, liquid lipstick in the shade 'Sao Paulo' This is my, also favorite nude. This is the combination I wear every day. Then I'm gonna pop on Fenty gloss balm in the shade... mm I don't know - the original one LIZA: She just made one shade I think? JAMES: Yeah but now there's more LIZA: Are there? JAMES: Yeah, so this is the original one LIZA: Yes, It looks good on everybody JAMES: Last sister step, I'm going to give you a quick spritz of my Morphe prep and set Use code 'JAMES' for 10% off your order I'm obsessed with this and last but finally not least, I'm going to give you a last spritz of the Mac fix+ in the shade 'goldlite' This is so pretty and has little flecks of gold glitter in there, it's gonna make your skin look so radiant [Notification sound] LIZA: Is that a brand deal coming through? I hated all of the layers and powders and concealer he used. Way too much, she has naturally gorg skin. I understand heavy glam but it just looked muddy. I think the rest of the makeup was pretty good tho, I never usually watch liza.
Real talk, there is something about her that is so cringe I can’t sit through 60 seconds of any of her content without feeling uncomfortable.
I’ve never liked her videos but man she has gotten so huge. Not saying filming with James is huge but didn’t she just present at an award show? Kudos to her tho for all her success.
i love the way james did her brows
They talked about Liza not uploading in a while while James did a very James Charles-esque look on Liza using his palette. They had pretty good chemistry and she looked beautiful, of course.
What did you guys think of the look he did on her? I am inspired by all the colorful looks and it’s fun to see her in such a different style of makeup for her, but I actually would’ve liked to have seen a more neutral glam!
i personally dont watch her videos because i get the feeling she tries too hard to be relatable but she was actually chill in this video. she wasn't making exaggerated facial expressions and all and the eye look turned out really good
I loved this video. I’ve missed her on YouTube, and they had really good chemistry on camera!
I'm really don't like the character she plays in her own videos but I am sure that she is the most lovely and down to earth person in real life. She truly deserves her success imo.
Sorry James, will not click this
