DIY Airsoft Claymore

in this video I'm going to be demonstrating how to make an airsoft claymore I would have some wooden tracks for most of this video I'm going to be using most straps because they're a lot easier to handle or work with but for my final project I'm going to be using rat traps going to start by disassembling the traps because we need to move the arm farther back they're just marking where the new holes are going to be to hold the trap in place because they're not going to reuse the old staples we're going to make some new ones is figuring out what size feel that we need drilling the hole I'm making new staples just so it will be stronger here I'm using the holding bar from the mousetrap because the heavier gauge wire bending my staple into shape assembling it just pushing the staples in with the pliers become quite painful bending the legs for the staples over so that they can't pull out easily [Music] just assembling the second one putting it on the other side marking my holes [Music] taking more staples measuring to make it out to equal staples bedding it to shape reassembling and bending over the staples [Music] is using a hammer to flatten it out a bit here's the bass then we just need a piece of fabric the fabric is for making the sling that we're going to use to put all the bb's on before this you really want non-stretch of fabric which is a failure I had with these goons how it turns out they were a little bit stretchy I'm just putting tape down to hold it in place where when I saw it threading the needle [Music] I think how much string I'm going to need sewing it all together [Music] rolling the tape off after having sewed it all together here it is shouldn't be stretchy but it is now we're going to sew it onto the trap this is what it should look like on the other side on [Music] and there it works and this is what a restaurant [Music] there is an old first-aid kit where I had to remake my lid so be strong enough to support the pressure of the air spring installing the trap mechanism [Music] this is what it should look like I got lots of pressure there marking the center from the triggering mechanism [Music] cutting a line in the triggering mechanism so that the string to come out freely here we're going to cut a hole in you lid that's not quite as wide resistance mechanism won't pull through but wide enough that be loop on the end of the string will fly through and not get poked [Music] you're marking where I need to put my strength to right back into them [Music] drill two holes flat in the string through the holes using a thread design [Music] testing it out just to get the right tension on the strings to what I'm tired [Music] now to make the loop for the end of the string I'm sure that it will slide through freely I think the sharp ends off and making it into an actual link but it's not ending it in place and there we have it fully functioning airsoft play mode and it works a little bit of spray paint later and we're out for the real test [Music] thanks for watching
