[Music] [Laughter] [Music] thanks give me [Music] oh um [Applause] lord jesus we gather at your altar you know of the mystery the supernatural divine mystery of you taking flesh as our savior and as our redeemer and as our healer so we come in the presence of the blessed sacrament the host in this monstrance is truly your presence lord jesus it's not it's not a symbol it's your the actual presence of god and so lord we're very humbled to be able to gather round you god among us in the sacrament and lord as sarks are coming in the flesh lord jesus you i can identify with pain you can identify with suffering you can identify with fear in the garden of gethsemane so lord jesus you know all of our reality the reality of our pain and suffering individually as families and collectively as at the world at large and especially in our war-torn ukraine currently but lord there is a hunger in all of us that causes us to suffer a hunger for you lord hunger for peace not merely political but the peace within our own hearts because lord we are made in your image and likeness we are made in the image and likeness of love but our fallen nature deprives us of love so today as we gather around you lord jesus we pray that your love will increase within us you will come to know our true identity as children of god through baptism and sometimes along the way lord of life we lose that sense of being loved of being unique of being wanted we lose our identity lord so today in this hour we come before you that there will be restoration for each and every person who comes and sits at your feet even remotely lord through computers or phones you can bridge that gap because lord you are not bound by space you're not bound by time you're not bound by circumstance so for all who are attentive to you right now lord you have a capacity to touch them and to heal their lives each and every person so we begin this time lord in praise of you and worship of you and also asking for your intervention the outpouring of your divine love into our hearts today and so we pray in song [Music] give us your peace give us your peace in our hearts oh lord give us your peace give us your peace in our hearts [Music] oh stay here close to us stay here close to us and your peace [Laughter] [Music] give give us your love in our hearts [Music] oh lord [Music] shall we [Music] me [Music] do [Music] stay here close to us stay here [Music] close to and your peace [Music] [Music] touching several people who suffer depression and you're bringing healing to depression we thank you jesus we praise you lord you're bringing your peace to those who are tormented in some fashion by hopelessness despair and actual depression also an image of a an x-ray of a chest so we lift that up to you jesus something to do with the lungs or the heart area perhaps but lord you're touching that person [Music] you're touching somebody who's tried an overdose so for suicide suicide attempts suicidal tendencies we ask you jesus and we know lord that you're touching it may not be a person who is actually literally watching it could be somebody that's being prayed far by somebody who is watching you right now jesus several situations to do with backs spines as well also a little baby somebody having a baby maybe they was trying to have a child that couldn't a little baby boy we thank you for that jesus we also thank you for the person that will give up drinking a certain kind of whiskey in a square bottle i'm not too sure what the brand is but uh it could be jack daniels i'm not sure what the what it is but anyway lord we lift that up to you jesus we pray for complete healing and deliverance from the spirit of addiction and all the damage lord that has been done to the individual and also to those who are near and dear to them so we thank you for that jesus today as well we know lord you're breaking spiritual bonds to the past back through family lines a large image of a chain going vertically back through a person's ancestry as we claim that large the breaking of any curses hex's evil wishes spells or seals any sins against the first commandment and any lingering effects through generations we pray for the breaking of those chains today jesus and their effects and especially where there's depression associated with the false worship going back to a family line superstition magic [Music] peach oaks as the old irish expression for it so we pray for that lord and we thank you for your deliverance and healing also a shoulder [Music] someone's suffering with shoulder issue we'll lift that up to you jesus we thank you for as well also finance for somebody maybe there may be people praying about financial situations for a female who's suffering want in some fashion we thank you lord that you're blessing somebody with their finance we thank you we praise you jesus lord you know all these issues for children lord who suffer illnesses again the child or children were unable to speak [Music] dyslexia pray for the healing of that jesus [Music] also tuberculosis and all lung related illnesses in families [Music] praise you jesus glory to you lord jesus lord you say come to me all you who labor and are burdened and i will give you rest lord for those who are struggling with life the burden of life the brokenness broken relationships broken hearts or do you say come to me you invite us to come and sit at your feet to worship you to adore you jesus and in so doing you are our healer there's nothing impossible to you jesus give us the grace to see this to appreciate this to have a desire to worship you to put you first in our lives lord maybe we've put you second we ask you jesus to be front and center in our lives for our families for healing for conversion for those lord who have fallen away those who are lukewarm those who have abandoned you [Music] so we pray in song [Music] do [Music] do [Music] come lord [Music] jesus come [Music] come lord jesus comes come lord jesus come [Music] come lord jesus comes all who are thirsty [Music] to the fountain dip your heart in the stream all the life let the pain and the sorrow be washed away in the waves of his mercy as the deep cries out too deep we sing holy spirit [Music] holy spirit [Music] comes [Music] holy spirit comes [Music] holy spirit [Music] comes [Music] all who are thirsty all who are awake come to the fountain dip your heart in the stream of life let the pain and the sorrow be washed away in the waves of his mercy as the deep cries out too deep we sing come lord jesus come we need you jesus come lord jesus come praise you lord jesus come set us free come lord jesus come heal us jesus holy [Music] spirit comes [Music] show your power lord holy spirit come fill us a new home spirit [Music] come we need you lord we pray to set us free you are our savior jesus heal us lord we need you lord we pray [Music] do [Music] do [Music] do [Music] [Music] do [Music] there is somebody kneeling down right now in front of their screen adoring jesus remotely as they're watching this the lord is going to greatly bless them [Music] so they're being anointed by the lord in a very powerful way by virtue of their desire for god and the desire for jesus we ask you jesus to give us a desire for you because lord we know that your desire for us is infinitely greater [Music] than any desire we could ever have [Music] or help us to see your desire for us your desire for us is so great lord that you came among us as a man in the flesh the sarks in the sacrament and you abide with us until the end of time and yet we are so ungrateful [Music] we're so unmoved by this gesture of yours we ignore you we walk by we're not interested we're preoccupied with ourselves we're preoccupied with the world at large jesus give us a desire a new desire for you for your your abundant mercy because lord we need your mercy world is falling apart without you jesus and you constantly remind us of our weakness and our vulnerability through chastisements corrections lord in saint faustina's diary and paragraph 39 you give a revelation of our need for you and the power of the eucharist saint faustina says one day jesus told me that he would cause a chastisement to fall upon the most beautiful city in our country this chastisement would be that with which god had punished sodom and gomorrah i saw the great wrath of god and a shudder pierced my heart then she says she prayed in silence she was so shocked by what your justice would do to a city [Music] but she went into silence and she prayed and after a moment jesus said to me my child unite yourself closely to me during the sacrifice and offer my blood and my wounds to my father in expiation for the sins of that city [Music] repeat this without interruption throughout the entire holy mass do this for seven days [Music] on the seventh day i saw jesus in a bright cloud and began to beg him to look upon the city and upon our whole country [Music] looked down graciously when i saw his kindness when i saw the kindness of jesus i began to beg his blessing immediately jesus said for your sake i blessed the entire country and he made a big sign of the cross over the country seeing the goodness of god a great joy filled my soul [Music] so lord you're revealing the power of the mass its effect [Music] saint faustina entered into the mystery at a deeper level for seven days and unaware [Music] of the chastisement that was to fall upon that city the people did not realize that you lord jesus were acting through the mass through the prayers of a nun over the course of seven days lord help us to appreciate the power of the mass help us to appreciate the necessity to enter deeper and deeper into this mystery it affects the physical world around us it affects politics it affects economies it affects diseases plagues and famines lord jesus help us to see this to realize it we are living at all times in biblical moments and what's required of us lord is a deeper level of offering ourselves to you [Music] we pray for restoration of the church renewed vigor an outpouring of the holy spirit upon the church upon the shepherds lord we need your guidance we need the power of your holy spirit to lead us in these darkened days and we pray for those who may be on the verge of losing their souls lord you said in the diary the greatest prayer is a prayer for the conversion of sinners because lord sin has consequences sin has eternal consequences sin has consequences in this world [Music] but unrepentant sin has worse consequences than the worst war or the worst famine there's a great famine for the spirit of yours lord we pray jesus today for the world at large not just for our own particular healings that we need we pray for the world at large like faustina we enter into the mystery of the sarks the sacrament your flesh lord you did not die on the cross in vain you became the sacrificial lamb to break the hold of satan to break the hold of sin and to lead us in out of the darkness of our own sinfulness into the eternal light of heaven [Music] lord we pray for conversion we pray for a spiritual awakening an understanding of true reality not what the world creates by human invention or science or intellect but that we see you for who you really are like moses at the burning bush [Music] so we turn our backs on the the false gods and we gaze at you lord the one true god so we ask forgiveness for our rejection of you lord and especially in the mass [Music] we pray for the priesthood we pray for priests we pray for bishops we pray for our pope francis [Music] we pray for the spirit of pentecost to come down and cast off the spirit of fear from us give us clarity give us the words that need to be spoken give us courage we ask your holy spirit to overwhelm our own human thought [Music] and inspire us with the word of god [Music] we pray for this outpouring of the holy spirit in song [Music] [Music] do [Music] only in god [Music] salvation [Music] is my strength and my salvation [Music] [Music] i shall not [Music] be afraid at all [Music] i [Music] shall be [Music] in god is [Music] when my enemy pursues me [Music] only in god is found glory when i am found meek and found lowly my strong [Music] i shall not be afraid [Music] [Music] i [Music] shall not be moved [Music] in god is my soul at rest in him comes my salvation he is my wrong my strength [Music] and my [Music] salvation [Music] is [Music] pursues me [Music] only in god is found glory when i am [Music] my i shall not be afraid at [Music] the earth shall not be removed [Music] hmm [Music] do [Music] the lord is healing a retina lord showing a retina in somebody's eye also pelvic bone we lift up the cancers to you jesus today as well all cancers of any part of the body those suffering from them several people coming back to confession one in particular someone who's been away for a long long time and it's because of their encounter with the priest and the the last time they were at confession the lord is bringing them back calling them back and many others [Music] many coming back to jesus in their last moments god's mercy the lord's mercy the divine mercy is embracing them even in their last moments those who had harmed hearts or sinful lives the intercession through this conference [Music] the power of god's word through this conference [Music] lord there is no greater prize for our efforts than for even one individual to be spared in the diary of saint faustine on paragraph 153 one day i saw two roads one was broad covered with sand and flowers full of joy music and all sorts of pleasures people walked along it dancing and enjoying themselves [Music] they reached the end without realizing it and at the end of the row there was a horrible precipice that is the abyss of hell the souls fell blindly into it as they walked so they fell and their number was so great that it was impossible to count them and i saw the other road or rather a path for it was narrow and strewn with thorns and rocks and the people who walked along it had tears in their eyes and all kinds of suffering befell them some fell down upon the rocks but stood up immediately and went on at the end of the road there was a magnificent garden filled with all sorts of happiness and all these souls entered there [Music] at the very first instant they forgot all their sufferings lord jesus [Music] you tell us to embrace our cross the cross of suffering sometimes we want our suffering suffering to go away from us to leave us but lord you're showing us the value of suffering so we pray lord that the suffering we endure for your the sake of your kingdom will multiply graces and gifts multiply your mercy because lord you tell us that many are being lost [Music] on the broad road to perdition that jesus himself talks about in the gospel he says the way to perdition is very wide it's a wide road so lord help us to engage in this mission of mercy with greater zeal and fervor though our focus is no longer on ourselves and our own particular needs but lord jesus do we have a sensitivity to the potential loss of souls eternally [Music] you do not want this lord but your justice demands it [Music] so we ask jesus today for the greatest healing of all healings is a burning desire for you and your mission your mission of mercy [Music] take away our spirit of lukewarmness or complacency [Music] make us an army lord a true army lord anointed by you to lead back the last [Music] anoint our mission lord give us the zeal that's necessary [Music] the lord is healing a cataract [Music] someone with curved spine [Music] an acute skin disease [Music] some caught up in false worship occultism superstition new age being enlightened about the dark path that they are actually on having an awareness that they're not serving christ but serving the enemy of their souls [Music] we pray jesus through the power of your eucharistic presence that you make aware all of those lord whose minds are closed to your salvation those who object to you those who rebel against you those who seek power over their lives over their destinies those who are seduced by the kingdom of darkness by the prince of darkness lord masquerading as light masquerading as healing energy the great deception lord jesus we pray that those who are [Music] ensnared by that deception that they will come to knowledge of you jesus they turn their backs repent come back to your kingdom [Music] for those who are incapable of turning back we pray for the grace that's necessary [Music] for those who are loveless lord who feel no love in their lives [Music] those who have lost love lost loved ones [Music] broken relationships broken hearts we pray lord that they'll find true love [Music] that only you can give this lord is your mercy towards us your divine mercy [Music] heal our hearts lord jesus heal our grief [Music] our sadness [Music] our fear our anxiety [Music] our rejection our self-rejection lord is healing anorexia [Music] lord is he healing infertility [Music] so lord we give you praise and thanks [Music] we cannot fathom the breadth and depth of your love for us and your mercy [Music] so [Music] jesus [Music] be the center be my source be my light jesus [Music] she [Music] be the center be my hope be my son jesus be the fire in my heart be the wind in these cells be the reason that i live jesus jesus jesus be my vision be my path be my guide jesus jesus be the center be my hope be my song she does be the fire in my heart be the wind in these cells be the reason that i live jesus jesus jesus [Music] be the center be my source be my light jesus [Music] be the fire in my heart be the wind in these cells be the reason that i live jesus jesus [Music] grace we thank you lord and we praise you for your presence here today as we come to the closing of this hour with you jesus we know lord that an hour is a short amount of time but you are not bound by time so all things are possible in this short time with you jesus this encounter with you like the centurion begging for his servants healing and when he came to you when he asked you and conversed with you at that moment his servant was healed we thank you lord that this is possible to us that we can come and converse with you jesus we can kneel at your feet we honor you lord we can call upon you and we know lord jesus that all things can happen even outside of this one hour outside of this space this is good news jesus we thank you and we praise you we give you glory lord and honor and all the the glory and honor that's rightfully yours lord we offer it to you give us the desire now lord jesus when we leave they will seek you out in adoration of the blessed sacrament wherever that is possible lord we will do this lord we make this promise today to seek you out as you seek us and so we praise you we adore you and we thank you all glory be to the father to the son and to the holy spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end amen [Music] do [Music] embraces [Music] lost [Music] oh [Music] [Music] and all thanksgiving everybody [Music] god [Music] thanks to father brendan for that very beautiful reflective healing and inspirational holy hour that i'm sure you've all felt the same power that i felt kneeling here at the side of the altar i just felt the healing power of jesus coming down into every bone in my body and what what a wonderful experience what a healing experience so over the next hours days weeks and months you'll find the benefit of the healing that has happened here today through the gift of jesus and father brendan's the most wonderful servant of the lord in his obedience he prays and fasts for every service he does and you can see the results of it here and the effects of it here so we're always delighted to have him and he always brings such a great grace and healing to our service here and we i would like to thank him on behalf of all our listeners here in ireland and all over the world who are watching in today so thanks very much father brendan for your beautiful service over the next hour now we're going into lunch hour from one to two and during the lunch hour for those who aren't going anywhere and are deciding to stay at home that we're going to have eucharistic film and eucharistic miracles by father chris solar shortened version to the original one he done and different than yesterday's talk so but a very good film by father chris solar so for those who aren't going anywhere you're welcome to watch it over the next hour and we'll be back then at two o'clock with the glorious mysteries and please god we might be able to fit in the chaplet of divine mercy as well okay have a good lunch let's keep on this theme of water and i want to tell you about my favorite eucharistic miracle of them all this one is my favorite i'm a water guy i used to love boating i love fishing and this is another water miracle but it happened in france now this is my favorite it took place in avignon france in november of 1433. what happened was there was a small church run by the franciscans that had adoration but some great rains came torrential rains and flooded the whole area and the whole area was water was above what people could protect their homes now two friars came by boat they rode the boat certain that this little church was going to be destroyed now when they got there there was water four feet deep all the way around the church four feet high but there was a pathway from the doorway to the altar that was perfectly dry and the sacred host was untouched now what i'm about to show you is an actual drawing because this was in 1433 so we actually have the actual drawing from one of these monks here it is the next slide that's the actual drawing look at that the water is four foot high on the sides this is like the red sea this is like the lord parting the waters of the red sea to get them to the promised land the holy eucharist right and so here's the drawing of the water four feet deep the water had been held back literally because i said the same way with moses in the red sea and this was verified they actually verified it the church approved it incredible that's my favorite one all right so let's continue on some more what about when the eucharistic miracle help actually give us a mass celebration yes corpus christi like corpus christi what does that mean the body of christ now let's talk about this it was 16 excuse me 1263 and a german priest peter of prague stooped down to his humanity level and be or should say elevated up his human uh humanity level and said i don't believe in the eucharist and so he began to have doubts using this human reason that this is all fairy tale so anyway he went to a town of bolsina italy and he was troubled overall by many things the apathy of the faithful clerical immorality and laxity lack of reverence at the mass but most of all what troubled him was his doubt about the eucharist so yes he had this doubt but god was active now listen if you have doubts it's not necessarily a bad thing the doubt that you have you have to give it to god the doubt means god wants you to think about it it doesn't mean you're a lost soul it means you want to you want to take it to god you want to think about it do i doubt this do i doubt that i'm not sure this take it to god and give it to him now this is what the priest did he doubted but he still was holding on to like lord just show me and here's what happened so the next day he arrived there and celebrated mass at the tomb of saint christina she is the early early martyr and as soon as he said the words of consecration holding up the host it began to bleed now the blood fell onto his hands and onto the corporal you know the white square cloth the priest places on the altar and he began to cry again this is all documented now he asked it to be taken to see pope urban iv and he said please i want to take this to urban iv who is residing actually in the neighboring town now father peter placed the host in the corporal and then wrapped both of them together in another linen let's take a look at this our next slide this is bolsina italy and i apologize if i'm mispronouncing that but there you see the cloth and the spot of the host all right so this father peter placed the host in the corporal and then wrapped it around it in another linen now pope urban iv collected all the facts and ascertained this is the holy father that it was a miracle and they went through all they saw it they viewed it they did what they could do for testing at the time now one year later in 1264 this same pope pope urban iv instituted the feast of corpus christi now this is fascinating you all hear a thomas aquinas one of the greatest saints ever he was living during this time and thomas aquinas wrote a lot about the eucharist so pope urban iv because of this miracle he commissioned saint thomas aquinas listen to this to compose a mass in an office for the liturgy of the hours honoring the holy eucharist you all go to eucharistic adoration you ever sing o salutaris when they expose the host o solitares or how about at the end when they repose they sing tantam ergo tantamirgo that was written by thomas aquinas because of this miracle that is amazing every time we go to benediction last night if you watched us today at three o'clock we're going to be doing a first saturday devotion here at the shrine you will be able to join us in benediction when we expose the host we will sing o salutaris o hostia then when we're done for the adoration we will repose and we go tantamir go o sacramento then we are honoring the eucharist in the way thomas aquinas did that's why he wrote those hymns was for this miracle so think about that every time you're at benediction those those hymns came from the eucharistic documented eucharistic miracle all right you know it's funny because corpus christi is important it's a story that i wanted to tell you regarding corpus christi that happened to me personally when i was ordained a priest back seven years ago almost seven years ago usually when our priests are ordained they're given the opportunity to go home you know they had to finish final exams they had to go through the stress of coordinating and ordination visitors guests family and so our community usually gives the guys a chance to go home right after that and i was gonna do that but i felt compelled the very first thing i wanted to do after ordination i have a love for the native american culture and the people and i heard about from a former seminarian or a fellow seminarian of a place up in northern canada that where he was from and and this place was so far up but they were living basically on a reservation of indians with no really no law no order and certainly no sacraments if there was crimes committed it would take days if not weeks for the royal canadian mounted police to even come there they had no police really but anyway worst of all they had no mass it had been years since they had celebrated a mass because there was no priests in fact in this whole region of canada there is nine priests to cover an area bigger than the state of california can you even imagine so i'm like i want to help so the day after my ordination i got on a plane and flew to saskatchewan i was there at the airport got on a bus rode a bus eight hours north to the road ran out then i was picked up by a missionary couple and driven on an uh logging road for another 200 kilometers to get to this place so finally i'm there and there is a smaller village and then there was this bigger reservation and they asked me to say mass and it happened to be corpus christi the body of christ so i say the mass and the tradition at the end of corpus christi is to have a procession a eucharistic procession so i am prepared i'm in my cope and most of the people who were there were indian women and children few men that were older very few young male indian men as i'm processing through the neighborhood and there's about 1200 people who live on this reservation i was planning on going through and blessing all of the areas i couldn't do every house but at least the main roads and i had about a hundred indian women and children behind me and as we processed up one of the roads there was a probably late 20s early 30s native american or first nations people they call them on the porch with another man and they started screaming from the porch and i noticed it was interesting they weren't screaming at me they're screaming at the eucharist screaming get that blank blank thing out of here desecrating it verbally blasphemy well i held on to the monstrance i still had the monsters and have these people behind me and they started screaming again get out of here get that thing out of here get that blank bling thing out of here well we could only go forward so i just held the eucharist tight in the monstrance and prayed for god's grace and protection and i noticed the third time they screamed now they're getting angry the first guy jumped off the porch came down i noticed he had a big buck knife on his side and he put his hand on it and i'm thinking gee lord i've been a priest for one day and i'm going to be a martyr and so i prayed for protection and this guy comes down now the other indian first nations man followed him and they both stood in front of me and blocked me and i've got this people behind me and i held the eucharist up and they're screaming again not at me it was weird they were screaming at the eucharist now at that moment somehow in my heart i knew that they were going to desecrate this eucharist or at least attempt to so i'm praying and this indian reaches up to literally grab the shaft of the monstrous which i'm holding on to to grab the shaft of the monstrance and i knew he was going to throw it down smash it desecrate it so i'm holding on as tight as i could because i was not going to give it up i was going to go down with it just thinking okay holding on and all of a sudden he reaches up to grab it and as he's reaching up he said i told you get in the look of just um demonic because you know they hadn't had the eucharist for years many of them were involved in that shaman type of pagan rituals and he reaches up to grab the shaft of the monstrous to throw it down and he grabs it and his hand was thrown off and his hand throws off and he falls to his knees and he's holding his hand screaming and later the ladies told me the cree indians these were cree indians that he was screaming my hand my hand it had burned his hand so when he grabbed the eucharist or the shaft of the monstrous to desecrate it his hand couldn't stay on it and it threw his hand off and there was a burn mark across his hand and i remember all the people i kind of looked back they all fell to their knees why do you think god allows a eucharistic miracle like that because if those people had any doubt because there was a lot of doubt in that indian village that this isn't real they were returning to their pagan ways god just reinforced it amazing and so to me this is an example of a powerful story that god gives us in the eucharist to me it was a powerful witness to the people not powerful witness to me i i believe in the well i mean it was but it was a powerful witness for those who didn't believe and that's why god allows them sometimes all right let's keep going right now sometimes there's a miracle of preservation where the hosts don't decay now this happened on easter 1331 in bleno france here a woman received holy communion and the priest didn't notice that when he gave it to her the host fell from her mouth and landed and a cloth that was covering her hand so she's praying she's got this cloth over her hands he gives her the eucharist turns away didn't realize it fell onto that cloth now when he was told about it he went back to the woman who was still kneeling at the railing in prayer but instead of finding the host on the cloth what he found was a spot of blood now the host was nowhere to be found but in its spot was the blood now when mass was over this priest took the cloth into the sacristy and placed it into water again to dissolve see what would happen he washed the spot but it didn't come out it got darker and larger reaching the size of a host now he cut that host out or excuse me the mark out and put it in the tabernacle along with other consecrated hosts that were never distributed now what's interesting is those hosts got left in that tabernacle something happened i don't know if the church closed temporarily and then reopened or what it was but the host ended up getting left and they never decayed what is interesting is they still left it in there after they saw this and it ended up being hundreds of years hundreds bread decays if it was only bread it would have decayed the bloodstained cloth was preserved perfectly and so were the hosts now let's look at our next slide because our slide shows this this is blano france from 1331 this is still seen at saint martin's church every year on the feast of corpus christi the body of christ powerful all right now let's tell some more interesting story here the saints knew excuse me do you ever hear the story about satanists supposedly before they become high wizards actually are tested this is crazy what they do and i was told this by zachary king who spoke here at our shrine who actually was a high wizard in some satanic call and he said actually they will place a hundred hosts in front of you and 99 are unconsecrated and one is a stolen consecrated host so they'll place them all on a table before and this wizard is supposedly to invoke power and he is able to point out the consecrated host that shows that he has these powers now that doesn't tell you who the real church is and the realness of the eucharist because the the devil knows god exists and so these wizards of his are actually knowing their power comes from satan but he knows the eucharist now on the flip side let's not despair because the saints have this same power do you know what one saint we hear this about satanists right but do you know that there was saints like this and i'll tell you one that might surprise you john paul ii had the ability to know when the eucharist was consecrated not in the evil way like the satanist in the good way now let's look at the next slide john paul ii declared the year of the eucharist saying stay with us lord here's i want to tell you a story about john paul ii that was amazing his absolute outpouring love for christ in the eucharist they said actually became a problem for his team when he would travel listen to this in fact the prefect of the papal household often warned the organizers of papal events to make sure not to allow john paul to pass within view of a place where the eucharist was because then otherwise he would enter the chapel for long periods of time and the entire schedule would be thrown off like if they had the schedule down to the minute and then he spends 30 minutes in adoration it would throw the whole schedule off so these organizers would try to avoid this it's kind of a bittersweet situation right all right now in 1995 father michael white in baltimore was invited to organize the pope's visit john paul ii was coming to baltimore now one of the organizers told this father white quote listen in the in the in the place where he's staying keep the hallway door closed when he comes through your building because he doesn't know that there's a chapel and in there the eucharist if he finds out he'll spend a lot of time in prayer they weren't criticizing him they were just saying we got a tight schedule here and we know our beloved holy father he's going to end up stopping so sure enough they come through the building when it was time to leave john paul walked through that hallway door and they're like oh oh now down this corridor there were tons of doors lined up in the hallway and john paul starts walking down the hallway they said father holy father we'll go out the backside so he's just simply walking down the uh the hallway dozens of doors on both sides all of a sudden and they lived to rooms and bathrooms and they were all closed so you didn't know what was behind them if it was a bedroom or a bathroom now when he passed by a certain door he stopped this is john paul and he stopped at this door and it was the door to the chapel and in the chapel was the consecrated blessed sacrament they say the story was he looked at the door not even even opened it yet and it was the door to the chapel where the eucharist was and he looked at father tucci and he shook his finger at him and without saying a word he shook his finger and nodded his head like this like don't you do that to me you you purposely did this to me so he knew what they were doing they didn't allow him to know that the blessed sacrament was there but he knew it isn't that incredible that's a saint and so he shook his finger in his head and father white recalled he said there was no way he could have known the eucharist was in there but he did there were dozens and dozens of doors but he knew exactly where it was and then the holy father did this elsa when he then ended his visit in baltimore at saint mary's seminary in roland park father white again was astonished that the pope who had never been in that building instinctively walked right in and turned right to the chapel he knew exactly where to go amazing now in line with this john paul guess what else saint had this ability you guessed it our beloved next slide saint faustina now i'm going to tell you something that you may not be aware of in the diary that i think is incredible now saint faustina would see the child jesus when the priest would consecrate the host at mass now she also lived with the blessed sacrament listen to this th this is awesome this is diary number 44 that you don't hear a lot about and i don't know why this is amazing she said one day jesus said to me you want to talk about a eucharistic miracle here's a eucharistic miracle picture saint faustina here one day jesus said to me now she's in her convent she's in her little chapel within the house where the sisters lived jesus said to me i am going to leave this house she's in the chapel and jesus is talking to her because there are things here which displease me and the host came out of the tabernacle and came to rest in my hands and i with joy placed it back in the tabernacle so here jesus says i'm leaving the host comes out puts in her hand and she turns around and puts it back in this was repeated a second time she said and i did the same thing despite this it happened a third time so could you picture saint faustina jesus keeps coming out of the tabernacle i'm leaving she puts him right back in he comes out of the tabernacle i'm leaving she puts them right back in and she said despite this it happened a third time but the host was transformed into the living lord jesus and he said to me i will stay here no longer with an exclamation point jesus did not speak much to saint faustina with an exclamation point this was one of them and jesus said i will stay here no longer with an exclamation point so here's faustina and she says add this a powerful love for jesus rose up in my soul and i answered you gotta love saint faustina and i jesus will not let you leave this house she put him back in the tabernacle can you imagine saint faustina standing up to jesus like this but it was out of love she wasn't being disobedient she's like lord you can't leave this house she says and i i will not let you leave this house jesus and she put an exclamation point can you picture this going on and again this is her words now and again jesus disappeared while the host remained in my hands and once again i put it back in the chalice and closed it up in the tabernacle and listen to this and jesus after that stayed with us that's the power of what we can do if we could be like saint faustina and she said however though i undertook three days of adoration by way of reparation to make up for what was displeasing to our lord so she just didn't put him back in and leave she made three days of reparation that's what we are doing today at three o'clock join us as we do a time of reparation to the immaculate heart of mary on our first saturday devotion every first saturday join us for that now saint faustina goes on in diary 312 she says this remember i told her i told you that she sees the child jesus at mass i saw the child jesus on the altar joyfully and playfully holding out his hands to the priest now remember who brings us the eucharist the priest well father he's broken he's sinful yes god will deal with that the priest however brings us the eucharist he's in persona christi at the altar whether or not he's good man or a bad man he is at that moment jesus christ not before not after during that moment saint faustina said but a moment later the priest took the beautiful child jesus into his hands broke him up and ate him alive at first i felt a dislike for the priest for having done this to jesus but i was immediately enlightened by jesus and understood that this priest was very pleasing to god so she literally saw the priest eat jesus this is truly jesus she saw him eat the child jesus incredible now what about diary 442 listen to this this goes back to the priest being in the place of christ in persona christi once when i saw my confessor blessed michael cepachko saying mass i saw as usual the child jesus on the altar from the time of the offertory however a moment before the elevation what's the elevation what i call the high priest or high point of the mass father mike gately says the same thing the concluding doxology where it's god offering god to god why is we why do we go to mass because the mass is the perfect form of prayer unlike our private prayer which is imperfect when you come to mass you are at the perfect form of prayer why because the mass is god offering god to god god the son offering himself to god the father through the power of god the holy spirit so god the holy spirit is offering god the son to god the father for our sins and the sins of the whole world at that moment this is what's happening when the priest elevates in the concluding doxology and he says through him and with him and in him that's the trinity oh god almighty father we're returning it back to the father all glory and honor is yours forever and ever so here's what saint faustina says at the moment before the elevation the priest vanished from my sight and jesus alone remained as the elevation approached it was jesus who took the host and the chalice in his little hands and raised them together looking up to heaven this is incredible saint faustina saw that this is what our faith teaches it was actually jesus lifting that sacrifice of himself remember christ is both the victim the one offering and the one being offered jesus is the one offering his little hands held the bread or the the the host and the precious blood and the body and held it up but he's also the one being offered he's on that patent body blood soul and divinity that's why hebrews says in the book of hebrews that he's one offering and the one being offered this happens at the mass so at the masses is is being elevated it is the priest the priest is elevating and people are just looking around smacking their gum well he's just a sinful priest it's jesus who overtakes that priest that priest becomes in persona christi he becomes christ that's the reason the priest is a man it's nothing to do with sexism in fact the calling to a vocation of a cloistered nun is a higher calling than a diocesan priest in a way of life but not in the fact that the priest can confect the eucharist so saint faustina sees this priest elevating the host the chalice of the precious blood and the body of christ and he disappeared the priest disappeared faustina's watching this and in his place was jesus himself this is what our faith teaches and this is what faustina saw incredible and see faustina says this i saw jesus and she says jesus took the host and the chalice and his little hands and raised them together looking up to heaven and a moment later i again saw my confessor he had disappeared and he now reappeared i asked the child jesus where the priest had been during the time i had not seen him and jesus answered in my heart wow all right finishing up here now one more saint faustina diary 677 during mass a moment before the elevation god's presence pervaded my soul which was drawn to the altar then i saw the mother of god mary with the infant jesus the infant jesus was holding on to the onto the hand of our lady now this is going on on the altar a moment later the infant jesus ran with joy to the center of the altar so he held her hand the little jesus then he let go and he ran to the center of the altar and mary turned to faustina and said see with what assurance i entrust jesus into the priest's hands whoa that's what's happening at the mass in the same way she said you are to entrust your soul if she can entrust her son to the hands of the priest so we too need to entrust ourselves into the hands of mary the hands of jesus and she said be like a little child that's how jesus was on the altar amazing all right let's talk about this childlike innocence now before i show you the next slide i want to tell you the story there's a a lady in italy bologna italy named imelda lambertini and she was this childlike innocence like faustina just described she was born of a noble family there in italy in 1322. she went to live with the dominican nuns at a young age and she begged them to receive the eucharist but she was denied because she was so young then on the vigil of the ascension imelda was in the chapel quietly praying again nodding aloud she was too young to receive holy communion but after mass one of the nuns heard a noise and she looked up into the choir loft where she was and she saw a melda glowing and a light coming from her and shining above her head with the sacred host suspended in the light now the priest was contacted the chaplain and he came there to see it and the chaplain said that jesus himself was making it known that she should receive now he said let the little children come to me and do not stop them those are the words of christ so he gave her her first holy communion now the nuns allowed her to remain in prayer and a little bit later they went out and then they came back and they sent for her to come have her breakfast imelda at that time after receiving holy communion was still kneeling as they had left her but she had this big smile on her face now they called to her but she didn't answer her body was still and then they realized she died and the mother superior described it that she died of pure joy at 11 years old her thanksgiving had been completed and she had nothing left on earth to desire but holy communion and she got it now here's a picture of her let's show imelda lambertini from 1322. look at that beautiful little girl i tell you i want to do a talk on the incorruptables stay with us on these saturday talks we're going to talk about how is it that a saint doesn't decay after 800 years 700 years this is amazing in fact almost exactly 700 years now let's talk about triumphs with the eucharist like the ark of the covenant god's power all right let's talk about the saint clair sinclair one of my favorite sites all right saint claire had a story that was also well documented back in 1234 there was a situation where some barbarians that were under the army of frederick ii were preparing to come and assault the town of assisi and they had came to where claire was she was the assistant of saint francis of assisi right she was his right-hand man uh woman so these barbarians had begun to scale the walls of san damiano where she was and they were spreading terror pillaging and raping and here they were coming they didn't care that these were nuns or not and all of a sudden claire who was sick she took the saborium from the little chapel that was next to her cell and she came out to the window and she took that window here were the invaders coming up they had actually placed a ladder outside her window and they were coming up the ladder so can you imagine how afraid saint claire was so she was there in the hot in the in the convent these barbarians were going to come in they're going to kill them and saint claire grabs the blessed sacrament from the monster or from the saborium in the next chapel and she holds up the blessed sacrament so she goes there and she holds it up in the face of these invaders in this open window and as she raised the blessed sacrament let's look at our next slide as she raised the blessed sacrament look at this the soldiers who were about to enter the convent fell backwards it was described as if they were dazed and the others who were ready to follow them up turn around and ran away here are these thugs these barbarians these guys who don't believe in anything and they were scared to death isn't that awesome this is why saint claire is a lot of times represented in art holding a saborium this is awesome this is a great story now let's get into the science and really what i think you all are looking for in these eucharistic miracles what is the story of the science now what about when it physically turns the body and blood this is the most common let's finish with the most common type of eucharistic miracle not just a light or our preservation but now we're talking actual body and blood flesh and blood appear now and i know i'm mispronouncing this lanciano is one of the first approved miracles eucharistic miracles back in the 700s now i want to tell you about this story because it involves the monks of saint basil now during a mass again guess what a doubting monk saw that the host had changed into flesh and the wine had changed into blood again the opposite of what we would think we think of not seeing it but we know that the accidents stay of bread and wine but we don't see the actual body and blood it is there in substance but we don't see it now this doubting monk saw it so what happened was the blood coagulated into five globals i think i'm mispronouncing that but containers i guess but the flesh remained the same here's what happened the flesh and the blood appeared to be human flesh and blood so they took and put it these this blood into these globals and each individual one was weighed and it weighed the exact same as the other ones even though they were all different sizes now that's scientifically impossible now although the ones were different sizes they all weighed the same now since this first basic investigation of this miracle in the 700s the church has permitted many studies on this they still have the blood right now the church permitted the studies on these relics the both the blood and the flesh now 800 years later in 1574 these five containers of blood were weighed again and again it got the same results they were the same even though the amount of blood was totally different so eight centuries had passed and there had been no deterioration in this flesh in blood now what happened all right now let's bring science in now we're talking 1200 years later in 1970 71 pope paul vi decided to let a study scientific study now here's what they found the flesh which was yellowish brown in color had the structure of the myocardium this is the heart wall and the endocardium the membrane of fibrosis elastic or fibrous elastic tissue lining the cardiac cavities this is inside the respiratory or the heart of of a human now these have the same appearance as in the human heart let's look at our next slide if brother mark can pull up our next slide look at the picture there and this is from the 8th century the 700s in lonziano a priest in lonciano has doubts about the real presence however when he consecrates the host it transforms into flesh and blood this miracle has undergone extensive scientific examination and can only be explained as a miracle the flesh is actually cardiac tissue which contains arteoles veins and nerve fibers the blood type as in all other approved eucharistic miracles is type a b and i'm going to talk about that in a moment now this is where it gets interesting now the blood okay was determined to be of human origin of a b and i think it's a b positive now people always say that's the universal donor christ gave his blood that would make sense but a b positive is actually the universal receiver so jesus is receiving all humanity all of us into him if we come and so this is the universal receiver now the proteins and the clotted blood had the same makeup of normal fresh human blood notice i said fresh this is 1200 years old now this professor named professor leono linole asserted that the blood if it was taken from a dead person a cadaver would have deteriorated rapidly so given that these samples were centuries old had no preservative and were never hermetically sealed meaning airtight in any kind of container they should have deteriorated but they had properties of fresh human blood the doctors concluded that only the skill of a trained pathologist could have even got such a sample the way it was meticulously cut so now last page here now in recent times we see this example as well there is one eucharistic miracle from buenos aires in 1996 that i want to tell you about and we're going to get more into the science here this one is fascinating a true eucharistic miracle obviously cover occurs at every mass we just can't see it but it happens a true miracle at every mass when the priest utters the words of consecration true miracle sometimes god makes it visible though and that's what happened in buenos aires in 1996 when archbishop jorge bergoglio aka pope francis was in august 18th of 1996 in argentina now the priest at a local parish hears the story was told that a consecrated host had been desecrated and was left on a candle holder in the back of the church now he couldn't consume it so this father peaset put it into a glass of water like remember we told you is the proper way to do it so it can dissolve then you pour it into the ground it's dissolved because remember once the particles don't remain our lord is no longer present that's why it's okay to dissolve it and then pour it out because once the particles dissolve our lord is not present body blood soul and divinity in the same way so he poured it out i'm sorry he poured a glass of water put it into the glass and put it in the tabernacle so that it would dissolve as i said when he opened the tabernacle eight days later he saw that the host had been transformed it was now a piece of bloody tissue much larger than the original host now he informed archbishop bergoglio aka pope francis who asked him to have it photographed so they did and it was decided that they were going to keep the host in the tabernacle without publicizing it or saying anything now for three years this remained in there but after three years the bloody tissue had not decomposed which is extraordinary and basically impossible to explain any bloody tissue will decompose in a short period of time now it's been three years and there was no special attempt made to preserve it there was no preservatives put in there or anything so guess what a good friend of our marrying community the myrians are always linked somehow to this kind of stuff dr ricardo castane gomez who did our retreat from us for us a couple years ago took a sample of the bloody fragment and he sent it to new york city now here's where it gets good dr gomez or castiglione as we call them didn't want the scientific community to be prejudiced so he did not tell them where it came from these are the ones who would be examining it so he did not reveal the source now a team of five scientists were assembled including the famous cardiologist and forensic pathologist dr frederick zugaby he's the author of many books on forensic pathology and here's what he said not knowing where the host came from this material is a fragment of human heart muscle found in the wall of the left ventricle this muscle is responsible for the contraction of the heart it pumps the heart the sacred heart the left cardiac ventricle pumps blood to all parts of the body does it make any any is it any surprise that this is the part of the human body that christ would show in the eucharistic miracle the part that pumps the heart pumps the blood to the rest of the body of christ the heart muscle is an inflammatory is in an inflammatory condition and contains many white blood cells what's what's important about that well listen this indicates that the heart was alive at the time the sample was taken this world famous doctor said quote it's my contention that the heart was alive because white blood cells die outside a living organism within minutes the white blood cells had penetrated the tissue which indicates that the heart had been under severe stress as if the owner had been beaten severely about the chest and this guy had no clue where this source came from this is incredible now let's look here's doctor or excuse me here is our next slide this is a picture of the buenos aires miracle look at that host the body and the blood this is a host consecrated look at it if we have any doubts about this is truly the body blood of christ look at that this statement by dr zugaby eliminates the possibility of fraud that a critic would say a critic could come up and say well it cannot be you know what you say it is okay let's look at this this doctor says that this is what it is and a critic might come and say no now let's look at this for a moment are you really going to think that the officials of the church had authorized the torture and death of a male with a b positive blood the same blood on the shroud of turin and the face cloth of oviedo and opened his chest while he was still alive after torturing him and removing the tissue from his beating heart i don't think so so then how did this specific piece of tissue make its way into the tabernacle into the mass miracle a miracle there's no other way solid medical evaluation shows that the sample had not decomposed and could not have been obtained from a deceased subject like a cadaver it came from a living person who would have known that certainly not the common people so this is doctor castingon let's look at our next slide here he is take a look at that guess where he's speaking from here where i'm standing right in front of you right here to my right hand shoulder brother mark can show that is where i am this is dr casting young now he is here at our shrine and he gave a talk called the matter of faith a matter of fact so here he was at our shrine and he gave a talk here about this event now this is amazing because what really surprised our brothers in his talk was this he told the story about how he tested this and he said he went through before a group of doctors and scientists and he was giving a talk and these doctors and scientists didn't really know what was going on and he said that he put up a picture of a piece of bread a priest and a prayer and he said you give me this piece of bread this priest and this prayer and i will give you human heart tissue they started laughing at him one of the doctors he said was like who is this guy get this guy out of here he said hold on he said i told you you give me a priest a piece of bread and this prayer and i'll give you human heart tissue they're like what are you talking about he says well and i'm changing the names i don't know the names but three of the doctors who owned labs and ran labs that he sent his sample to were in the audience and he said and you know how i know this is true dr jacobs your lab dr hendrix your lab and dr mueller your lab all confirmed it because what i sent your lab was a piece of bread that was prayed over by a priest with this prayer and i sent you that piece and every one of your labs came back and said it was human heart tissue he said you could have heard a pin drop that is incredible that is a eucharistic miracle all right so the common scientific findings in all eucharistic miracles i got to go through these i'm running out of time the blood has hemoglobin and the dna of human origin studies conducted by forensic evidence have shown that the substance originates from the interior of the person excluding the idea that someone could have placed blood onto the host okay you know what happens to blood when it hits the air okay the blood that hits the air if they would have taken blood from the exterior it would have different properties instead the properties of the blood on the host are not from the exterior so nobody came and rubbed blood on the host the blood on the host is from the interior it is almost like you took blood from the interior of a human person and somehow got it onto the host there's no way to do it without exposing it to the air this is incredible straight in okay so it's it it it excludes the hypothesis that someone could have placed it from the exterior now the blood type is a b similar to that found in lanciano on the holy shroud and other places studies reveal that the tissue found corresponds to the muscle of the heart myocardium and the fact that the outer part of the blood [Music] is [Music] [Music] in the person from which the tissue came like that found during trauma the blood also contains white blood cells as i said before suggesting that the tissue is still alive or was removed from the body of a living person white blood cells die within minutes if i was to rub my blood on a host the white blood cells would be gone in 10 15 20 minutes they're still there this blood also only has the x chromosome remember a child when it's born has an x and then the father gives it a y or if it's a uh i'm sorry the father gives the other chromosome if it's an x it's two x's that's a female if it's the father gives a y it's an x and a y and it's a boy remember only two genders this chromosome or this blood only has the x chromosome jesus should have had an x and a y if he was only human meaning he's a male but he has no y chromosome shows that no father supplied it which means he has no living father all right laugh last half page you're hanging in there with me an example last the splendor of the king clothed in let all the earth rejoice that all the earth rejoice he wraps himself in life and darkness tries to hide and trembles at his voice and trembles at his voice how great is our god sing with me how great is our god and all we'll see how great how great is our god [Music] h-2-h he stands and time is in especially in the weekend that was in it uh we're delighted we decided to go with all our prayer life and we're delighted we made that decision so thanks be to god so our next we now hand you over that claire is going to introduce our next speaker father michael meyer next father michael maher is a member of the marist community based in dundalk county loud he was ordained over 52 years ago and he is an experienced conference speaker retreat director and spiritual director he is one of ireland's leading speakers on our lady of fatima welcome father michael hello there you're all very very welcome and my name is father michael maher i'm with the marist fathers here in ireland and i must say i felt privileged to be asked to give a talk at this conference on divine mercy and to give the talk linking our lady and the blessed eucharist knockout was the goal of saint pope john paul ii visit to ireland for the hundredth anniversary of our ladies visit there in 1879 in coming to ireland he made a request that part of his timetable would include a visit to clan mcnoyce there he gave thanks to god for the preservation of the faith in its integrity and purity of teaching at the end of his talk he said the following irish art embodies in many instances the deep faith and devotion of the irish people as expressed in the personal sensitivity of its artists every piece of art be it religious or secular be it a painting a sculpture a poem or any form of handiwork made with loving skill is a sign and a symbol of the inscrutable secret of human existence of man's origin and destiny of the meaning of his life and work it speaks to us of the meaning of birth and death of the greatest of man end of quotation from pope john paul ii a cartoon monk who was a sculpture in its monastery in england was asked some years ago to create create a piece of work capturing the role of our blessed mother in the plan of salvation he's in the midst of all his suffering he would continue to give himself completely to her the year before he died he was back in lord and it was the 15th of august 2004 and he'd been there for the few hours and they were all ready to move off and highlights all this for us in his book entrusting to her everything the book is called the true devotion which frank duff who founded the legion of mary read a number of times before finally it clicked with them and this is the 100th anniversary disappeared lucy goes on then to tell us in her memoirs impelled by the power of the supernatural that enveloped us we imitated all that the angel had done prostrating ill presence of his amongst us and he becomes present in order to continue the work of the incarnation and redemption and in order to accomplish in mystery the sacrifice of calvary which he was with her glorious body her immaculate heart becomes for him a living beating motherly tabernacle of love of adoration of thanksgiving and of unceasing reparation wherever the sun is there too i knelt near the altar rails in the middle of the chapel and prostrate i prayed the prayers of the angel feeling tired i then stood up and continued to say the prayers with my arms in the form of a cross the only light horns and flames under the left arm of the cross were large letters as if made of crystal clear water which ran down upon the altar forming the words grace and mercy i understood that it was the mystery of the most holy trinity which was shown to me and i received lights about this mystery which i am not permitted to reveal and here is the picture of what she wrote our lady then said to me the moment has come in which god asks the holy father in union with the bishops of the world to make the consecration of russia to my immaculate heart promising to save it by this means there are so many souls whom the justice of god condemns for sins committed against me that i have come to ask reparation sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray i gave an account of this to the confessor a little time with her i found her sitting on her bed deep in thought jacinta what are you thinking about about the war that is coming obviously referring to the second world war jacinta appeared or rather experienced it's the sign it's the sign predicted by our lady the war is coming the night the sign was given was the 25th and 26th of january 1938 on the night of the 12th of march to the 13th of march so when i was a little boy my father always encouraged me to bless myself as i passed the church and one day he said to me and you know when you bless yourself just say my lord and my god i didn't know what it was really teach me then it was only years afterwards that i realized it was the prayer of saint thomas who wouldn't believe when the rest of the apostles uncomfortable there he is looking out of the tabernacle where were you he's waiting he's waiting to the song of all songs [Music] with you i will go you are my love you are my fair one the winter has passed and this [Music] behold you have come over the hills upon the mountains to me you will rhyme my beloved you've captured my heart behold you have come over and in 2018 he was elevated to the bishop of usury and then on the 29th of december in 2020 he was elevated to the archbishop of dublin so we're delighted to have him here with us this evening thank you thanks don so good afternoon everybody and very special to proclaim your love and faithfulness all the day and through the night may i dwell in your courts o lord there to flourish like the trees [Music] and sin gets its power from the law so let us thank god for giving us the victory through our lord jesus christ never give in then my dear brothers never admit defeat keep on working at the lord's work always knowing that in the lord you cannot be laboring in vain the word of the lord [Music] [Music] sing hallelujah sing hallelujah sing hallelujah to the lord open our hearts praise to you oh lord jesus christ it's a joy for me to come here this afternoon and to what's jesus asking of us he's asking of us to be less judgmental and more understanding regarding the moral failings of others how can you say to your brother brother let me t remove the splinter that is in your eye when you do not even notice the plank that is in your own in other words i don't see my own gigantic mistakes i don't see my own big failings but i may criticize other people's little failings criticize other people's little shortcomings so we need to look at our blind spots because ultimately as the first reading makes so clear of what the lord makes clear to us what is in our hearts eventually will slip through and come out of our mouths so long ago that all of the evil intentions in the world that these things come from our hearts so let us pray during this lent that god's love and god's grace and god's mercy will be poured into our hearts and that people then will experience that compassion and that mercy and the forgiveness of god will experience it in our words the third day in accordance with the scriptures he ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end i believe in the holy spirit the lord the giver of life who proceeds in the father and the son who with the father and the son is adored and glorified who is spoken through the prophets i believe in one is shows us again that the blind cannot lead the blind that we may recognize our own concept and come to the sense of all that blinds us we pray for humanity and simplicity of heart lord for the grace to see how we all share the one world we love nature said jesus yeah we pray to wisdom that we may be able to discern good fruit in our lives in work and in politics in our families and in our faith lord hear us lord graciously hear us our words flow from what fills our hearts says jesus we pray for words that console words that are true words that bring true hope and words that the foundation of peace lord hear us lord graciously hear us god of peace lord of justice we pray for the people of ukraine today we pray for peace and the laying down of weapons we pray for all those who fear for tomorrow that your spirit of comfort would draw near to them lord hear us lord graciously hear us we pray for those with power over war or peace wisdom discernment and compassion to guide their decisions above all we pray for all your precious children at risk and in fear that you would hold and protect them lord hear us lord graciously hear us and on this day when we celebrate jesus victory over sin and death we remember our faithful heart departed and all those people that we carry in our hearts especially the victims of war in ukraine and the victims of terror and war the world over may they be crowned with love and compassion forever lord hear us lord graciously hear us father of all compassion our teacher and judge hear our prayer as we gather in dismay and worry fill our hearts with the goodness of your wisdom and renew us from within that all our actions all our words may bear the fruit of your transforming grace we make our prayer through jesus who lives and reigns with you our refuge and our peace forever and ever amen [Music] my heart my mind body my soul i give to you take control i give you my body of living sacrifice [Music] lord take control take control [Music] my heart my mind my body my soul i give to you take control i give you my body of living sacrifice lord take control take control [Music] brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father oh god who provide gifts to be offered to your name and count our oblations of signs as signs of our desire to serve you with devotion we ask of your mercy that what you grant at the soul grant as the source of merit may also help to attain merits reward through christ our lord the lord be with you and with your spirit lift up your hearts let us give thanks to the lord our god it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god for when your children were scattered afar by sin through the blood of your son and the power of the spirit you gather them again to yourself that a people formed as one by the unity of the trinity made the body of christ and the temple of the holy spirit might to the praise of your manifold wisdom be manifest as the church and so in company with the angels of uh with choirs of angels we praise you and with joy we proclaimed [Music] oh [Music] gloria too [Music] queens [Music] me [Music] [Music] sees [Music] see [Music] you are indeed holy oh lord and all you have created rightly gives you praise for through your son our lord jesus christ by the power and the working of the holy spirit you give life to all things and make them holy and you never cease to gather a people to yourself so that from the rising of the sun to its setting a pure sacrifice may be offered to your name therefore lord we humbly implore you by that saint spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration that they may become the body and the blood of your son our lord jesus christ at whose command we celebrate these mysteries for on the night he was betrayed he himself took bread and giving you thanks he said the blessing broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you in a similar way when supper was ended he took the chalice and giving you thanks he said the blessing and gave the chalice to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for this is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me the mystery of faith my lord and my god my lord and my god my lord and my god my lord and my god my lord and my god my lord my lord and my god [Music] therefore o lord as we celebrate the memorial of the saving passion of your son his wondrous resurrection and ascension into heaven and as we look forward to his second coming we offer you in thanksgiving this holy and living sacrifice look we pray upon the ablation of your church and recognizing the sacrificial victim by whose death you will to reconcile us to yourself grant that we who are nourished by the body and blood of your son and filled with his holy spirit may become one body one spirit in christ may he make of us an eternal offering to you so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect especially with the most blessed virgin mary mother of god with blessed joseph our spouse with your blessed apostles and glorious martyrs and with all the saints on whose constant intercession in your presence we rely for unfailing help may this sacrifice of our reconciliation we pray oh lord advance the peace and salvation of all the world be pleased to confirm and faith and charity your pilgrim church on earth with your servant pope francis me you're a worthy servant the order of bishops all the clergy and the entire people you have gained for your own listen graciously to the prayers of this family whom you have summoned before you in your life give kind admittance to your kingdom there we hope to enjoy forever the fullness of your glory through christ our lord through whom you bestown the world all that is good through him and with him and in him o god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever we lift our hearts and voices to you as we sing on then [Music] at the savior's command and formed by divine teaching we have the courage to say our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil graciously grant peace in your peace it's overwhelming [Music] let us pray nourished by your saving gifts we beseech your mercy lord that by this sacrament with which you feed us in this present age you may make us partakers of life eternal through christ our lord amen i'd just like to say thank you to archbishop jeremy farrell for coming and celebrating mass with us this afternoon and for his very challenging homily that it's often hard looking at the plank in our own eyes and sometimes it can overwhelm us and keep us in the same position so it's a challenge for each one of us to be honest enough with ourselves to have a look at it and to see and ask the holy spirit to help us with removing it so thank you very much archbishop dermot great to have you with us and for your support i'd like to thank the speakers for over the the weekend that father chris allar from the marions in stockbridge uh professor mary healey from the major seminary university in detroit for bishop alphonsus cul nan celebrating mass with us on friday night and for father billy swann who gave a very encouraging talk on saturday morning for bernadette smith and her precious earth testimony for the pro-life and an amazing talk for father young and mcdonald our own spiritual director and to the conference here and the provincial of the solution order for father hayden williams for father robert mcnamara and his well they're not here but to uh katrina heffernan to seamus enright to eamonn o'keefe to robert jordan and to eileen my own wife so thank you to all for all your work in getting us charitable status i'd like to thank my daughter claire that we have a very slimmed down staff as the archbishop remarked with uh less of staff here than we had this time last year and the staff we have here is we have claire who was very good in doing our prayers at the faithful and our readings and people might ask why was she doing so much because it was literally eileen claire damien myself pauline uh christopher and kevin here so that's our staff just seven of us and of course a big thank you to craig uh on our visuals and to ellen on our sound you've done a great job lads over the weekend in matching up the beautiful images to the speakers as they were speaking so that was truly a very very useful piece of work okay and last but not least i'd like to say thank you to all the people looking in from all from ireland here and from all over the world and i would ask you to keep ukraine in your prayers we are apostles of mercy our job is to pray for ourselves as archbishop was saying that as apostles of mercy we always have to look first at ourselves and then move out from there and as apostles of mercy we've to move out with love and kindness to the whole world and pray for the whole world pray for russia and ukraine and all the diplomatic corps involved in trying to find the solution to the conflict there so pray for each other in the times ahead pray for the archbishop here he started the cynical process in the diocese and it's a very challenging challenging time so for the diocese and for the archbishop and all the people and just to say for all who donate to us we're having a raffle in we'll have it in four weeks time and will it gives people a chance to anybody who buys cds or dvds or donates that you're all included in a free trip to medjugorje and the any money that we have left over after we meet the costs of our weekend which is about twenty five thousand to 000 euro that that money will be given to the red cross for to help in ukraine to alleviate the hardship there so we also have a apart from our cds and dvds of the speakers we also have a separate cd and dvd due to demand for the music for the music ministry here and the songs they play so i'll finish on that and i'll just say please keep the archbishop here in your prayers and pray for each other pray for our country pray for the world so thank you and please god we'll see you this time next year back into your ds live and live in color please god we bow our heads and pray for god's blessing may the lord bless you and keep you amen may he let his faith shine upon you and show
