Diversities of Tongues

[Music] we're so glad you're here with us this afternoon i know that we're still getting people that are coming in from different parts of the country and i say thank you for not letting the virus direct your life you know i'm tired of masks i'm tired of not being able to touch people it's just ridiculous so but uh praise the lord there you go we can touch because greater is he that's under my skin than he that's on top of my skin amen i'm governed from the inside out not the outside in praise the lord open your bibles back up to exodus the 15th chapter is our golden text and my sessions with you and then we'll start with that and then we'll move on into some other things that we were getting close to this morning and um isn't it nice that the holy ghost can give a pause and come back and give us the rest amen amen i'll be speaking tomorrow i think morning or afternoon i think it is tomorrow morning so that'll be my final session with you but i'm going to remain here during the week of the conference because i came to also to sit and get fed uh you know when you're a preacher it's great to preach and be a part of it sometimes you just got to sit and listen and get in the prayer line and get zapped and have a good time amen so no matter who you are in ministry if you don't sit under and receive from you're going to end up in trouble somewhere in your life so uh choose to have a five-fold sitting go to prophetic conferences go to apostolic conferences evangelistic things pastoral things every person needs a pastor it keeps you from being flaky see a pastor is not called so much to say manage your gift but help manage your life by which the gift of god sets in now some pastors can help with the gifting but most people only look for folks who help their anointing not their life and if you find the key of the of the great generals is they understood the importance of their private life before their public manifestation of their gift and when they got it messed up they got in trouble so a pastor is not normally going to ask you how's your anointing he was like when's the last time you took your wife on a date when the last time you and your kids went and played baseball or went ask you all the questions you don't want to hear thank you for the few amens in our afternoon meeting so um if you want a key to being a general and people talking about the mantles and i'll just i'll go here and i'll come back to the scripture they are available there are mantles that are there are anointings and there are uh impartations available and waiting to be a partner with any person but the thing i would suggest or propose for you to judge is that before you go seek amanda you might want to seek the life what kind of life that person lived before that mantle or that mantle came upon them like you all want to be kathryn kuhlman jr well i understand i would like to be that too but can you live like catherine you know people say i got wigglesworth's mantle i hope you do but before you get the mantle you may have to have the life that created that mantle wigglesworth did this every day he got up every morning before he changed from his bed nightgown you know the old timers were those old nights down kind of things he would get up and dance before the lord and worship god in the dance the side of his bed in the morning and take communion then he would get dressed and go downstairs and have breakfast and so forth but that's the way he did he never went more than 15 or 20 minutes without praying or reading a scripture that was his lifestyle he only read one book now i'm not saying you have to do that but that's what he only read one book when his wife and the lord taught him how to read and to write he only read one book and that was the bible and if you want to raise 23 people from the dead you might want to see how he lived not what gift he had because that gift sits in that earthen vessel and that spiritual development of your of your private life amen great people make mistakes all of them do everybody great's done something stupid that's why there's hope for you and your children and maybe some grand babies too for some of you so don't give up or get mad it's okay god knows that the human race has a faulty in it and it makes and god still entrusts us with his ministry his gifting his end time commissions because he believes in us that even though there are frailties and there are faults that that we shall rise again and finish the day amen thank you for the four amens on that oh hallelujah exodus 15 3 says that the lord is a man of war the lord is his name as i said in the first session i like the living bible translation of that verse where it says the lord is a warrior and a warrior is one that likes to fight now i think what what is going on in our nation today is a time for those who like to fight to glow in the dark this is our moment i mean it is so crazy right now in the natural in the spirit it is absolutely if you're well you're all prophetic i'm sure your prophetic radar is going berserk it's just like so much is going on right now uh it can almost wear you out it's like i saw the other day can i have one day without picking up something just can i just have one day just to eat pizza and be with my friends and just don't want to know nothing okay i don't i don't want to give me one 24 hours please it's hard to get 24 hours in this moment because it is so dramatic and um so we're going to have to all become warriors not just in song and in conference settings but when we return to our home and the churches that we are members of and participates of and some leaders of then i read to you in joshua chapter 3 or judges chapter 3 verse 1 where god left certain nations in israel or in the land that israel would have to fight so that the next generation would not lose the ability to fight or to war and so there are some things that i think god is teaching us and and sharpening our war abilities in this moment too and so if god would do that in the old testament he will do something similar in the new testament for us to develop those skills can you say amen and then i dropped off in ezra chapter nine verses eight and i mainly verse nine where i begin to describe as i see the revival that we all are in at the moment is not what we are used to as the american christians as the american full gospel christians we are very much what i call in the romantic size of revival which i'm all part of it okay i love the welch revival i love azusa street i love i can teach it i mainly taught most of you what they were so i love it i can live in those worlds and just get lost in all that stuff i love it but that's not our revival i wish i had the ability to teach what i call the underground revivals of china and cuba and places where the people of god had to live by faith and help from heaven for survival for accomplishment and so i don't think it's going to be that bad but we're going to be in a similar situation that we're going to have to learn how to obey god and receive it on in the midst of the chaos in the midst of the of the persecution and um persecution can be fun pilate in a big pile get on top of it and preach from it no when you're being persecuted that means people are actually listening to them but never listened to you before and there are people who are listening to you for the very first time so when you're persecuted everybody's watching and listening so take advantage of it if they're going to persecute it persecuted then do something wonderfully great and don't back off have fun if they're going to fight you do it first class thank you for the three laps on that hallelujah that's called tongues that's my first language what's yours all right we left off with my grandma's story so we're gonna pick up there i was raised in a christian home praise god i was raised with praying family devil casting out family i'd come home from school step over folks that they've been praying for to go to my bedroom to put my books away go get some cookies and milk and sit in the chair and watch the demons come out or whatever's going to happen so that was a part of our life some days we could watch cartoons but sometimes we watch demons come out of people or folks get spirit filled so i grew up in a home where jesus was the unseen member of our family he was bigger in my church than in my home that he was in my church and to me it should be like that because you live in your home all the time and you actually go to the church facility once twice or three times a week so god should be bigger in your house and my grandmother was very precious she looked like a little old grandmother white hair little shawl and then she would turn into a wonder woman and that was when you know how we used to twirl she'd kneel and that's when she become wonder woman she'd get on her knees and she took off and she always showed her prayers out oh god and righteous father i come and she left she went out he said where'd you go she was i'm out in the spirit i said i never go anywhere i just circle in the room and stay in the room i don't go anywhere she said i'll take you so the first time i was able to be piggybacked into some dimensions of this first little kid and my grandmother said one day i'll be dead you're all gonna die one way or the other you're gonna die she says but i'm not gonna leave the earth until someone has what i have in them and i choose you so i didn't have a choice i couldn't vote i couldn't ask for three days of thinking it had been decided by mother superior and so but i didn't rebel i wasn't one of those that rebelled i wasn't one of those that felt like i have been done wrong because of my faith or how i was raised uh i have made mistakes in my life thank god he's been kind to me and the body of christ has allowed my return and i'm very thankful for those things in my life and so i'm very thankful i don't have a bad attitude toward the church or toward how i was raised there's always a few weirdos that need to go get saved again and baptize four or five times like during the baptism just holding down a little bit longer to make sure stuff gets out of them okay so there's always a few of those in every church or in every christian community but that's not all of them thank god i have the ability to see the good folks the kind people and not let the be the ones i focus on you have to choose what you see you have to choose how you hear you have to choose how you come out and come in to the move and call it god in your life because if you're reacting to people or contrary winds you can make missteps and not really mean to but you can does that make sense you know one of the great problems in in christian living in christian ministry is hurts and wounds we were speaking about that at lunch today hurts and wounds have caused many people to not live in their high call the high call is where the generals lived the great men when god lived in their home they didn't visit they stayed there paul said i pressed for the mark of the prize of the high calling so if there's a high calling there's a medium call if there's a medium call there's a low call if there's a low call there's a no call most people live in a backslidden condition in the medium part of their call and they visit the high call once or twice and they call it a special encounter or visitation when it could be their lifestyle but to live there it takes a lot of discipline focus and what people on earth call time time you have to kill that clock in your flesh god doesn't look at the clock like you do that's why he wakes you up at 3 o'clock in the morning because he had something to tell you he don't care if you're asleep hey don't you know i'm asleep he don't care he has something to say so he's going to tell it to you at 3 o'clock or when you're in the shower and you can't write it down that's where you always get like can you come in 10 minutes i'll be able to focus and write the thing down so you know that's the way god operates and that's part of the beauty of his personality hurt and wounded people make mistakes hurts and wounded people befriend the wrong people heard or wounded people go to the wrong church heard and wanted people stop doing spiritual things that made them great because they don't want to create the environment whereby which they got hurt the last time in does that make sense and so as we come into this season that we're in well you're all gonna have to get healed up and get it over get over it you're just gonna get over all the crap you've been through and forget all the people all the personalities all the the drama and all the you know the pills you're on get rid of them because you don't need a pill you need a tongue amen you don't need a pill you need an utterance in tongues oh i love the beauty of diversity of tongues all right first corinthians chapter 12. everybody with me first corinthians 12 is where we'll start just now and cut a little bit further because prayer work is under a higher demand today than it has been probably in a decade or more because the the course of this nation is in jeopardy the course of the american church is in jeopardy too if we don't get the right thing going amen hallelujah first corinthians 12. if you found it yet if you haven't forget it you're never going to find it first corinthians 12 28 i'll just kind of go down this until i feel like i've got the release god said summon the church he didn't say oh he said some so that means in this crowd today their son will be this and some will not can you be content in how god has placed you in the body because he said we are placed or set in the body at at the way that pleases him so you have to grow secure with your father's wisdom but how he called you or did not call you how he placed you or did not place you you're okay with and you're happy about it 100 from your heart amen like i always joke on the i think i told this for the last time i see her i always wanted kathryn kuhlman's mantle benny hen got it he never met benny benny had never met catherine coolman can you believe that never shook her hand never talked to her just saw her on the stage in front of ten thousand people i talked to her as a kid she touched my head and i mean so i should have the mantle i got touched she spoke to my family about my call i have a white dress in my closet so if anybody should have got the mantel i should have got the mantel i wanted to wear a white suit and go hallelujah y'all get healed me i'll go home that's what i wanted to be as a healing evangelist but i got a roto-rooter ministry instead so i've learned to be continuing my yeah that's what i've got to do my hallelujahs don't work as good as bennies and catherine's they only go this far theirs go out like this so i i thought i haven't even been your friend so i can talk like this i really when i hit his church in orlando i'd go down and preach for him and we go to lunch and and swap kathryn kuhlman stories things that he'd heard things that i'd heard and we'd talk about catherine catherine and i said benny you got her anointing in those days no i don't i have my own anointing i said please own it my brother you've got it i don't know why he would give it to an air boy but you got it i said you're in the right color you're a brown air boy and you got a female white anointing he laughed like you did but he did can you imagine that mantle that benny carries came from catherine came from amy and came from mother etter it's like a four or five generational call of healing in this nation like there's always a billy graham person in our nation and there's always a strong healing mantle in our nation and so for some reason especially with that one that benny's got it was women that had it all that's why i'm going to be teaching the course here in november about the great women will go through this man and all this it's powerful i mean mother etter was the size of john wesley and they both wore dresses i remember john must he was in 1700s when men could wear those kind of things and be okay and so mother etter comes along and she they're about the same height same size both wore dresses and she had all nine gifts of the spirit in her meetings before azusa street ever started they were falling out getting healed the newspapers report that her meetings it's like a civil war battlefield now let me explain what that means in the civil war you've seen the picture of the civil war battlefields with all the soldiers did when they came to her meeting all the folks slain in the spirit they only use the or they could use in the newspaper it's like seeing a civil war battlefield people laid out all around the tent under the tent outside the tent by the cars ouch love her she did all that all that in a tent with a car that didn't have a i only had a canvas roof and she'd sleep with a tent next to the tent that's how it was back then and god gave her a healing ministry and then amy when she was 28 years old saw mother etter at her church in indianapolis now watch this you're saying this is hilarious so the two great ladies meet they meet in indianapolis in the end of the etter tabernacle when edda was still alive old lady now so amy comes she's a young lady and i ask i ask her son amy's son what'd your mom think of mother etter she said well she thought she was kind of boring i thought really and then what did mrs edder what did mrs etter think of of amy she thought she was too dramatic like are you kidding me you're the one that does the statue for three days and you think she's more dramatic i mean so it just shows you it just shows you cuban personalities are the same in any time zone there's little things that we prefer and if you don't do it then we now like you but we have to learn how to know people by the spirit and not let the natural be the thing that separates us from being that corporate body in our times that we live does that make sense so if you have a quirk with somebody just get over it you know if you don't like with my ice cream in tongues and growl at you get over it or you'll lose the deposit i'm supposed to give to you can you say amen good preaching brother roberts amen and so amy carries the mantle of healing until her death and kathryn kuhlman has married a jack rabbit she married the wrong guy poor lady quite a great lady but kathryn kuhlman's life that you know was on the last 20 years of her life so you don't realize that you think her whole life was like she had a great ministry at the beginning but she married the wrong human please don't do that buy a puppy if you're real lonely by two and just make sure you're you're hugging and kissing the right person because after the second kissing session you go deaf you can't hear god you can't hear man you can't hear mom and dad you can't hear a pastor and then you wake up about nine months after the honeymoon going like what did i do i tried to tell you good preaching brother roberts see but i love her well stop it if it's not the right one ask god to help you stop it no don't get in heat stay in the spirit see i'm a guest i'm not your pastor so i can say this i'm leaving in a couple of days but as pastor i do talk like this all right so catherine goes to amy's bible school for half a semester and drops out she lived eight years that jack rabbit eight years that she knew in six hours of the i do that she married the wrong person when they finish the cake and all the stuff you do at a wedding they got in the car with another couple to go to the hotel to change their clothes and she jumps out of the car before her new husband can turn it off and runs through a friend's room crying i've made a mistake what am i supposed to do and she went into eight years of drama lost everything everything and she goes to a dead end street in california now here's some advice if you make a mistake don't go to california don't go to miami don't go to new york or don't visit chicago all those liberal strongholds will get you that's why people in sin are in hurt or made a mistake they run to those atmospheres because those atmospheres has no structure no morality no right and wrong and it's a liberal do what you want kind of flow and that's why people that make mistakes or want a lawless life run to certain parts of our nation and other parts of the world i pastored for 20 years in california i know half of the folks i met had come on rebels from other places in the country and you have to heal them up and get them right and then they and then they go back home where they belong that's all free and so she goes to a dead-end street in california and she looks up to heaven and she says this little prayer of sincerity i have nothing i have nothing to give you all i have is i love you with all my heart if you can use me use me for your glory at that moment god gave her the healing ministry that you know about on the worst day of her life the kathryn kuhlman story to me is the god of a second chance he'll give you a third chance he'll give you an eighth chance my advice is don't use them all use as few of those who can all right they're available they're always there but don't use them all up humans can survive one crisis when you go to two crises you lose half of that and it shrinks and when by the time you get to third or fourth most people can't run they're not jehovah who has that ability we are limited does that make sense thank you again for the few amens on that those are deep prophetic thoughts all right all my jokes are dying this weekend i'm quit joking no matter what i do just preach and just do my thing then catherine kuhlman dies and an heir boy gets the mantle of the red-headed divorcee healer and the rest of the world scratches there and going like how did he get it he don't act right he don't look right he's a little arab crazy little boy from israel from toronto and god gives him that mantle that's the most clearest mantle in our time that you can look at and see what was and what when you walk into a benihan meeting you're walking straight into a catherine kuhlman mrs mcpherson mother etter meeting you're walking right through the middle of it they all did the same thing they all wore white had great healing power and they all had marriage problems and died of heart problems every single one of them i used to tell benny benny benny binning hey be careful don't follow her so close so you'll die when she dies and have the same problems you brother roberts what does it mean i said all of these women the devil fights that mantle i'm teaching this to you on purpose so listen fights that particular mantle by hitting their marriage mother etter was divorced amy was divorced twice catherine was divorced and benny was then he remarried so i think he broke the curse amen so when you follow somebody and you're looking or you feel an attraction in your spirit to something which is okay it's good but if you're going to go after something or that you feel that tug in your spirit you have to know how what they carried how it affected their life like if you carry the catherine thing or that healing mantle thing you got to know right up front the devil fights it in your marriage so you have to do extra work extra awareness to keep that strong or you'll lose it and with that catherine mantle they all had heart problems and died prematurely every single one of them or died from that died from heart problems and a little early for some of them when amy died she was what was she was 59 and i think captain was around 59 about the same age they all died about the same age catherine coleman could have lived another 10-15 years but she wouldn't heed her doctors her doctors told her now i'm telling you this because sometimes your doctor's your friend i don't know why god don't heal everybody up front right now i wish he would but i don't know why he doesn't but let's just say if he doesn't then you've got to use your common sense and be led by the spirit to do what's right according to you that's why paul kept saying to timothy take heed to yourself that means understand you physically mentally emotionally financially spirited understand you because what may be my temptation may not even get your attention so i can always follow you exactly because we're two different people with two different makeups and so miss coolman was told by the doctors because she had an enlarged tarp the reason why she talked funny you know how she talked the holy spirit you know she talked like that people you know she told her because she had a speech impediment her mother would teach her she had a small speech impediment to where her mother made her over pronounce every word so when she became katherine kuhlman have you been waiting for me unless you come across the radio i believe in miracles because i believe in god we all go wow and we we think that's how you're supposed to be under the anointing of catherine you over pronounce your word slowly the power of god is about to come into the room and you're copying a speech impediment problem not anointing well it's true but it worked for her i mean her her dramatics was the way she was as a little girl i interviewed her friends from concordia oh that's just katherine she's always been dramatic like that so she didn't put on a show she was just kathryn kuhlman that god gave a second chance to and look what it was would you been able to be in her friend if you knew all of her mistakes would you be able to accept her call if you knew all of her mistakes you're all going but there are people in your life today in the same situation that she was in that needs your love your kindness and your acceptance that they may be able to breathe again and do that which they're called to do for god and for man hey for many of you have asked me for certain anointings and grace and endowments and some have fasted and pounded the door of my throne room saying i wish this i want this i desire this oh god give this unto me and then you come back another day and say why have i not received it and you did not stay long enough to hear what i had to say for it's not that i wish not to give it to you but things must be in order and in rightness of heart and mind that it may flow through you perfectly and beautifully and do wonders for me and for you for things you desire today are not wrong but you've not spent enough time working on yourself that you may become a pleasing servant with whom i can work through unhindered for i hear many people today at my door saying i'll work with you if you let me do this and you'll give me that it's like the lord says they come to my throne room to negotiate not to be instructed and to obey for them who wish to be great ask nothing but what is my bidding and over time if their heart stays that way i increase my power and cause their door of utterance to be enlarged so do not fret and be angry at others take care of yourself before me for i am willing and it is needful in this season that my anointings and my gifts increase and flow in new dimensions for this day for the miracles that you seek says the lord are just not that which you've been familiar with through the stories and your own experiences i wish to give unto this hour the people of this hour creative power creative miracles unusual signs and wonders i wish to do that but always remember says the holy spirit that that which you want costs you and unless you know how to pay without complaining these things will not be through you says the spirit of the lord hallelujah hallelujah lift your hands in this words of god just for a moment let that word settle on those who needed to hear that hallelujah glory be to god forever amen he put in the bonding god said in the church first apostles and secondary prophets and thirdly teachers after that miracles gifts of healing helps governments and diversity of tongues tongues does many things not just one or two tongues first will give you the initial notice that you've received the holy spirit's fullness when one speaks with tongues especially in the first moment of that experience it is the notice it is the manifestation by which the person speaking and the people hearing now recognizes that this one has been filled with the holy spirit it's not the only sign but it's probably one of the close or the initial sun as they'd call it and so if you speak in tongues then you have been baptized in the holy spirit if you don't speak in tongues you have not had that experience yet you may have the witness of the spirit in other operations of the spirit but that fullness of the spirit so if i just made you mad let me just say that i'm right and today you got to get filled and let it flow out of you it shouldn't take that much in this atmosphere thank you for the one amen for the man that looks like santa claus back there all right the next little thing that tongues does for you from chris first corinthians 14 and and 4 down there it says that he or verse 2 says that it builds you up it makes you strong praying in tongues is one way you get strong it's not the only way it is one of several ways that helps you get strong if you don't pray in tongues you're not as strong as you can be you can be strong but not as strong as you should or can be praying in tongues makes you normal if you don't speak in tongues you're the weirdo let's get the horse and cart going the right direction here tell that to the sick or sensitive people you're all weird we tongue talking prophetic people we're normal ha ha i don't like that i don't care i had a deliverance a long time ago called from public opinion it really has been a great blessing in my life i love you but i don't care you can all you want to and i'll just smile and preach straight through it because when you're persecuted peter said the spirit of glory shows up so let all the gory glory preachers preach that verse i've not heard many glory preachers preach that part of the glory life they have all these other but peter said when you're persecuted and relive a reproach for my name's sake the spirit of glory shows up on you so you get insulated so that's why you don't react to it because he doesn't quite hit you you got the glory around you and you're kind of on a high you're on a drug but it's not one that you bought on the street corner tongues number two gives your spirit man muscle like arnold schwarzenegger's arm ever seen arnold schwarzenegger when he was buffed his arm was as big as my thigh that's how i want your spirit man to be don't be minnie mouse or mickey mouse be rambo and praying in tongues helps you get like that amen now that's where most people stop with the tongue's world now you can if you want to but there's more there is the prayers that work with god not just to obtain from god does that make sense that's where some people don't know how well the old intercessors and probably the prayer people they would understand this that the holy spirit prays through you to help accomplish something intercessional prayer stand in the gap all the different kinds of ways you can stand in the gap for different things and in that world is diversity of tongues that's why i read this verse here the latter part of verse 28 and god put in the church so if god owns your church this will be in it if it's done in it not sure god's owner you have to read the bible of what it says god puts in the church some wonderful things and not one was a cross or a pulpit not one was a music ministry now all those things are fine don't get me wrong don't get me wrong they're all fine but it don't show up in new testament list but this one does diversity of tongues brother roberts what is that i'm so glad you asked diversity in tongues in simple ways is different tongues for different things that come through you we all have our normal prayer language that we're used to and we mainly live in that world of spiritual vocabulary you know there are certain ways that i just know there's certain utterances or words or sounds if you want to say that's my part of my prayer life it's always going to be a part of my prayer language then there are times my prayer language changes and it may change for six months it may change for 30 minutes or it may change for a moment then come back what is it when it changes like that sometimes it's god growing your vocabulary in the spirit sometimes it's god praying through you the holy spirit praying through you with the language or the depth of that language to help you get victory about a situation that you're in or that you need to be praying for and when that happens to you you you don't change it because your ears and your brain react my normal tongues that's my normal language sometimes it's like don't you give me that prophetic look if you can if you can go get visions you can pray in different tongues if you can go get types and shadows and dreams you can pray in different tongues folks but it takes time you know a vision's easy you just look all right i love you prophetic people are my favorite people but you're also my most stressful people because sometimes you don't come back from jupiter for a very long time and we need you over here helping we need you in the altar getting people saved and spirit-filled we need you on the prayer lines and fighting the demons when you're on jupiter you're just on jupiter we need you back here helping out okay you understand my joke there did you get it this time all right not trying to make you all mad at me but some of you need to come back and help pastor dave you need to come back and help the church you're a part in and take up some ministry thing and be part of the outreaches well it's not prophetic no it's evangelistic it's called feeding the hungry visiting the the people in prison and wondering how in the world did you ever get here and you're supposed to help them out i've been a part of about four churches in my life and i'm 54 years old we don't change churches just because i get mad at the pastor or a guest speaker like me don't get mad at him because of me just be mad at me don't don't judge nice pastor in this team let me take all the heat when i leave but we we stayed faithful to a church we weren't crushed addicts we were true charismatics we didn't cruise around and i almost guarantee that here even even though we're in small little town there's some cruismatics and some of you are here today so may we arrest you and give you a ticket and say can you find out where you need to stay and go plop down there and build some roots visit and be blessed by other meetings but know where your home's at when i'm when i wasn't pastoring i was attending the church even though i was traveling and doing what i was doing and i worked in the church i i had to find something in my home church that i could do when i was there uh when i was off the road and i was home because when you're part of a church you're supposed to help your church there comes a helping spirit not a hindering spirit a helping spirit okay and so i always practice what i preach the best that i can and so i could always become a good usher or an altar worker because i can be a part of the team and help out but if i'm not there it still functions without me i'm not i can't lead it because i'm gone a lot and so one sunday morning i they made an announcement we're gonna need some more ushers and i went to the ushers meeting and there's about six of us so they taught us how to do ushering their style so next week is my time to usher it's real christ teach you and activate you all in the same week and so i had the back part of the church and and it's time to do the offering the visitor's card so we all stood up and i stood up and had my little cards and passing them out to everybody that was in my little section and the pastor was taking the offer and he kept looking at me like what are you doing and i'm back there doing the stuff and passing the buckets and doing the stuff and giving it the head i should take it you know and then when church is over the head says the pastor wants to see you i thought did i mess up that fast that bad on my first sunday so i i went to the office he goes roberts what are you doing i said i'm ushering he goes why i said well it's my church i'm supposed to help he goes no no just sit on the front row next to me i said no no that's against bible he looked at me i said if i'm a member of your church i need to have a help in some way besides just being the guy on the front row that glows in the dark [Applause] can you help your church i'll try this site can you help your church [Applause] maybe it's this lunch feeling we got going on right now every great general when you look at their life they had a home church every single one of them the ones that made mistakes very badly are the ones that did not so i'm just teaching this to to dampen you it's a principle of longevity success in god a pastor's anointing is needful for your family and for your head for your life and god puts in the church diversity of tongues different tongues for different things i was preaching many years ago and i'll tell you this story in long island new york any new yorkers here yeah we're glad you came out of the well whatever it is up there now i sort of say the prison i don't want to put that declaration out there and curse the state of new york but it seems like your governor is clamping down on stuff but uh come to florida we're getting free we're we're we're actually getting free and kind of winning and things are moving so we're not out of the woods but it's a little bit better a little bit better and so i was preaching for some men from some churches up in long island new york and and one of the pastors from rockville long island new york came and said brother roberts will you come on this day next week and and give your heaven story give your testimony we want to do an evangelistic service with your testimony and we'll promote it real strong for about a week and would you come and stay over and do that i said well you know my calendar is free sure i can sit over a few extra days and then preach for you and and do that no i think it was a friday night or saturday i said no no problem and so it was an easy prep me i had to stay strong in the spirit because i know my story and so we had about three or four hundred people new yorkers long islanders and you know a new york crowd was a different kind of crowd it's not moravian falls crowd new yorkers they've seen everything twice and it takes a lot to convince them something's going on but when they become your friend they are your friend for life i have partners that came into my ministry when i was 19 and 20 new york that are still with me today i can count on their check for 15 at the same time every month for the last 30 years and then they get mad when i send them flowers once a while to say thank you they go don't waste god's money like okay excuse me i just trying to say thank you that's the kind of people like one lady says i'll use my own stamp don't send me a business reply envelope i'm like okay we'll just act like we don't like you and so i was up in new york and they sang a few christian songs you know literally happy clappy songs you know sinners don't need deeper things like you know oh the love and the impotency of the lord is coming sinners go let's leave you have to sing happy happy almost stupid songs like joy to the world joy to the world they get all that stuff drives you nuts but you're already saved so shut up and sing you know you have to do for the sinners you got to do it for the lost people you got to sing you know jeremiah was a bullfrog sing all those kind of stupid songs and somehow the lost people's like well these are nice people we sing the same thing and i know we're setting you up to get you so they were singing those kind of you know songs because most of the people that were they were catering to the lost so they were singing songs that they thought they'd known me kind of fun and foot stomping and clapping and and so it was real fun everybody kind of got into it and they introduced me now i'm a strange character because i've already told them i went to heaven did you die no i just took off one day that there bothers them if i died it'd be okay but if i just took off they can't handle that so i can be shot run over bleeding to death go to heaven come back and everybody believes you if god just takes you crazy person y'all experienced that somebody shot you they believe your whole testimony love public life it's never boring sometimes crazy but never boring and so i get up and i start telling my story just you know when i was eight years old i went to heaven for an afternoon i i i wasn't fasting i was eight years old i was outside playing baseball with my friends it was summertime and and we just finished playing baseball and i went home because what you do when you're done and it's hot in oklahoma during the summer so i went home to get in the air condition when i got home i sat down and this came on me a pull a yank came up under my feet and pulled me up out of the roof of my house where i can look down and see my front and backyard and all my friends on their bikes going back to their house in the neighborhood and then i took off faster than star trek i mean i flew and i landed pam outside of one of the 12 gates and i thought i was kind of crazy he was an eight-year-old i thought nah this is not right it's not even like cartoons this is a whole different world you know and i heard these words this is one of the gates and i turned to my left over here look about oh 3 400 yards or so or less stood jesus just stood there looked at me and he took about three steps toward me and the presence that was before him hit me and made me start crying without wanting to cry it just shook me just came and she said because i want to give you a tour of heaven today because i love you and when he said that the pearly gate opened and i quit crying i don't know why but it just stopped opposite and i walked into heaven at least that side of heaven i only saw a part of it i didn't see all of heaven only apart and now the first thing i've ever seen in heaven was the golden streets with the golden curve and the flowers next to them that hummed humming flowers now when i say that you all think walk disney that's not what it was every few minutes in heaven there comes a wave of god's life for energy however you want to say that and when it went through the flowers it made a sound like a humming sound that's why i say so when you're eight years old you're closer to the ground when you're 54 you're closer to nothing you're just up here in space down there you're closer to stuff so you'd know stuff down there did you get that that's why if you have a kid department you got to put everything at their eye level you'll sell more up here on adult level they can't see it so you're closer to stuff down there and i was walking on the golden street and so i was telling this story and um this story goes about 45 minutes or so halfway through my testimony god says i want to cast out devils i thought they don't go with the heaven story no they don't work but he didn't ask he just told me sometimes the lord asked which is rare muslim just tells you he comes in and says i want to cast out devils well go you ahead who am i to say no to god just do what you want to do now if that ever happens to you and god forgets you're the speaker you just act spiritual when it all goes on you're okay because when god starts working sometimes he don't use the speaker when god starts working he just walks off the platform and don't come back for a couple hours and you're up there all by yourself like i was the speaker but now i'm nothing praise the lord sitting in front of me in the middle section four or five rows back a little in a little bit was three young teenagers dressed in black leather and chains i'm glad they came but they weren't dressed like anybody else that's why they stood out to me like back in those days leather people didn't go to church you wore suits like this you didn't come like a bouncer from a club or we bounced you out that wasn't always nice but that's what the church did back then and so i was glad they were there and had noticed them and not a big deal and all of a sudden the lord said call those three boys out i said are you sure i said we're we we need to get an altar call going here not not one of these things because lord you're invisible i'm not you ever feel like they can't find you they can find me they know where i live so i i had enough sense just to obey the lord grandma taught me that whatever god says just do it even if you're nervous just act like you know what you're doing that's how she taught me to preach in the beginning just act like you know what you're doing do you figure out what to do just close your eyes and raise your hand do you figure it out so i learned how to get through time and i'd figure out what the world needed to do so they they came up and stood in front of me i was shocked that they did and you know i i didn't i didn't feel nothing there's just all of a sudden a lady back there on that road something like picked her up and sewer in the middle of the aisle nose first into the carpet kaboom and the whole crevice and jumped because you could see it you could hear it was when those things were one of those wild god moments like we wish you had a camera for this watch it was kaboom and pho god those are in the in the aisle i mean no one touches her no one even talks to her i didn't and i was a speaker i didn't even notice it that much until god threw in the aisle nose first come on mother oh jesus i hope we're insured you know you think all kinds of crazy thoughts now if that's all would have happened it'd have been okay but that was the beginning of drama i wouldn't believe this unless well i know it's because i was there but if you just hear the story you think i'm making it up but i'm not with her nose in the carpet about 20 seconds after she'd been down there and the crown went oh she went yeah oh that don't help that'll help sinners get saved that makes them run real fast like to never come back so i remember grandma act spiritual and she always taught us watch and pray don't close your eyes you'll miss it so i didn't close my eyes and i thought this is weird i know it's god but it's weird and she's on down there lay it out and her dress is just up enough where it makes you nervous you know what i mean just just a little bit was like where's the cloth lady where's the cloth lady and there there was no cloth lady it was just here is new york style i don't know why i'm telling well i don't know why i'm telling the story but i want to start praying for you if i get through this story she's oh jesus and i was looking at the pastor and his friends [Applause] and that's when i obeyed grandma again i looked above and went spiritual because i was losing all faith looking at their faces i thought i will never be invited back as long as i'm alive this is the night my ministry ended in long island new york and you won't believe what happens next that's enough but it's not over and she probably does that for 10 15 minutes i mean and no one left i mean five minutes is long enough 10 wow 15 it's killing you because it's like 15 minutes and by this time people in the back were getting on their chairs and on their seats looking to see what's going on so new yorkers don't leave they check it out it's a whole different crowd in new york they're going to see for themselves what's happening and all of a sudden she left out one of these war path kind of tongues and the middle boy goes ah and hits the ground scares me half to death because i forgot the three guys was in front of me and the other two guys run off they take off down i'll go up and back never saw him again and i'm like oh now i know god's up to something i just don't know what i know this is all god kind of stuff but this is what happens at home behind closed doors not an evangelistic service and she and him get this thing are going to go home he'd cry when she got stronger he would cry harder when she wouldn't pray real strong he would breathe heavy she got hung oh he cried and that goes on for another 5-10 minutes by this time i know i'm not being invited back so i don't care i'm gonna enjoy the night i thought i'm dead it's over i'm it's over i wish we had cameras for some of these stories you could see it and all of a sudden she just quit she set up on her knees raised her hands about like this her makeup was all smooth and you could tell she was a pentecostal because her ears weren't pierced they were just clip-ons and they were pushed all different ways i had a i had a direct view of her you know and she set up on her knees like that and sang real softly i could barely hear i could hear just a little bit little lullabies and tongues to heaven and i looked over here to see what the little guy because now he had turned into a real like a black ball his all of his leather had curled up in like this like a fetal position he had one little white red face real red because he'd been crying real hard god had been ringing stuff out of him see a little black ball with a red face and he slowly kind of stretched out and i'm like praise the lord so i just stood there i don't know what to do so don't do nothing if you don't know what to do just praise the lord praise the lord praise the lord until something happens you get a direction or something and he stands up on his feet and he looks at me and tilts his head like that and goes sir i think i need to get saved when he said that the new york crowd act like someone just made a touchdown they all begin to go crazy so this little boy i reached out my hand and i let him in the sinner's prayer and when we said amen he spoke in tongues i mean i thought oh why can't everybody be like this this will be so much fun i love that ministry boom boom ministry salvation holy ghost boom boom and um so the crowd's excited the pastors all want me to come back and stay for a week so i i had it all worked out it all worked out and i thought i still don't know what happened here so i the pastor had come up and said can we take her and him to dinner with us after church he knows whatever you want pastor roberts whatever you want you can do it now he liked me because we had a break we had a breakthrough we got people saved and such that one and all the weirdness worked out and so now i can go back to long island now they still like me up there and um so i can't go out to dinner with them and the pastor was with us and i set her on one side and i said him on the other and then the pastors were around them and i said lady what happened tonight she's still kind of drunk in the holy ghost i don't know but it sure was good and she kissed me stop that you don't kiss a single evangelist it causes rumors and so she kept kissing me she was like my mother's age anyway but she's she's just drunk i like you and just kissed me on the cheek and i thought okay go ahead you can't stop because i listen to your tapes that's back when tapes was in i buy your tapes and your tapes make me feel normal i thought well that's nice i said well that's about my question what happened tonight she goes that's my son well i didn't know that was her son i just thought it was some strange group of teenagers and black leather that came to church she said my husband divorced me and left me with all my children she said i had to work really two or three jobs to make everything work out and so i wasn't home a lot and my other children has worked through all the pain but this one hasn't this one here runs off for two or three days we don't know where he's at when i mentioned god he'd cuss me out i mean just really bad should i come home from work at one o'clock midnight get ready for bed all the other boys would be in their beds but his bedroom most of time would be empty and i couldn't find him one night she goes i was real tired it's amazing when you're retired how the holy ghost can work easier through you like this at least i was real tired and getting ready for bed and i was praying for god to bless my children especially this one his name was scott to to bless him and in the middle of my praying my english changed and my tongues changed and i went with it there was nobody there to stop me so i just did it i said is it like what you did tonight she goes i don't know what i did tonight i said well you did it you did it you did it now why did i tell you that story that story is the diversity of tongues in operation god knew what kind of prayer had to be made to ring out of the insides of that little boy the pain the hurt and the demonic oppression that came because of the wounds because mama's talk and mama's instructions and mama's discipline was not working here and she couldn't do to me anyway being there like she wanted to because of the situation financially in the working that was required but god through the holy ghost boiled up in her spirit by diversities of tongues that worked the devil out of him and healed his wounds to where he wanted to get saved i went back the next year he was the youth pastor in that church and god puts that in the church to help do things that need to be done for you for your city for your state and our nation always know pastors when diversity of tongues come to your church it don't sound real good to your natural ear you have to listen out of the spiritual ear because the natural ear goes ow don't sound like well praise the lord that's that's not the natural response like oh even for you that our tongue talker is like oh however the holy ghost boils it up in you let it come out of you don't change it to fit your emotion or the environment if you change it or touch it you hinder your victory someway diversity of tongues is a part of the warriors equipment for this hour privately and corporately that's why took a little bit longer than i wanted to to pray to tell that story hallelujah now we close here about four o'clock is that right pastor all right here's what i'm gonna do i wanted to pray for you but i'm gonna be on tomorrow afternoon is that right tomorrow morning tomorrow morning okay tomorrow morning i'll preach for 10 minutes and pray for people is that all right because i want to obey the time here correctly and so i was going to pray for you so oh you come back tomorrow and we'll talk about 10 minutes and i'll jump down here without my coat on and grab your head and shake it by high over you is that all right hallelujah i've preached myself happy all day long i'm ready for the rapture i'm ready to go or go do something hallelujah when you're in war you can stay drunk when you're in war stay full of the holy ghost and stay drunk amen hallelujah father we love you let's just worship god for a moment talk to him before we close we love you with all of our hearts we love you we love you we love you we love you we want to be used for your glory for your purposes holy spirit i ask you to come today and you know how to talk everybody's personal language move upon them today help them to see areas that you need to heal them and adjust them and father show them areas that they're okay that everything's good many times while we don't get to hear that part or we don't wait long enough to hear the father say you're good in this area you're doing great in this let them hear those parts too lord i pray for you today that your holy spirit's language that the holy spirit when he prays through you we'll pray for you in development of your prayer language and in diversity of tongues father give unto us the diversity of tongues let that be a part of our christian experience in our church life in the name of jesus and everybody said amen give the lord a good
