welcome to the channel my name is Osiris I'm a GI a trained diamond expert and I'm here to help you find the biggest diamond for the smallest price these are tips and tricks to find the perfect engagement ring in today's marketplace so it's no secret that I love online diamond shopping there are some real serious players I've been doing this for over a decade I honestly find it the best experience and honestly is the best value and price you're paying 20 to 40% lower than if you go to a department store so right off the bat I'm a huge fan of online purchasing I come from the diamond industry the price is locally today very hard to compete with with online pricing so starting off right there if you want to save money online is the way to go and I'm gonna teach you how to shop online today and how to to filter through these websites are really narrowed down specifically the best diamond for the best price step 1 let's narrow down the shape and carat of your ideal diamond let's pick a round and a two carat stone as reference first step I'm going to look for the cut grade I want to excellent cut grade if I want to start off that's the starting point you always start from the top and you work your way down do you find that perfect variable that fits into your budget next would be color with a round diamond I always look for an H and I color for me it's the perfect color at the perfect price once you go higher than H there's diminishing returns your naked eye can is very hard to tell an H from a G in fact a trained eye can not tell an H from a G once it's mounted very difficult very difficult so H an eye is the sweet spot for value next we look for clarity we're going to start off at the SI one si one is the perfect starting point for a budget stone doesn't mean it's a low-quality stone si one does not impact the beauty of the stone as long as the center is clear of black spots you are good to go and you'll save money once all these four have been picked we evaluate the price if the price is outside your budget we then start playing with different variables we go from the bottom up we start off on clarity now the least important we go - si - at that point if it is within your budget we're at a good starting point we will then use this look at these stones and make sure they are I clean what is I clean me and the scale of clarity it starts off in flawless that's the top we have flawless we have internally flawless we have vvs1 vbs2 vs 1 vs to all those grades require a microscope of 10 times to be able to even see a spot on the diamond in the real world use that's that's really not usable no one's gonna see no one has microscopic vision you will never see that impacting the stone negatively si one like I said is the value si 2 gets tricky with a round saw of an excellent cut as long as it's not in the center and it's not dark the imperfection could go unnoticed and you then save money luckily we use online tools to clearly see what we're purchasing big value here when you go online you have 20 times magnification on these new sites you see exactly all the imperfections and you know exactly what you're buying so once you go si tu you evaluate the stones worth and value if it's still outside your budget you might have to go into je territory now if a round diamond a je color is still gorgeous if the cut is excellent if you still feel that it's way off on budget two-carat might not be the size for you these are the rules this applies to a one carat stone a one and a half carat stone you always start off at the high point and you start changing these little variables to narrow down that window and make sure that stone fits in your budget take a quick look here what happens when we go from an SI to je color to an SI one eye color this jumps 2000 to 2500 immediately showing that each variable matters thanks for watching I hope this helps I have tons of articles there's a link below right here to my website full of information feel free to reach out to me I have clients that always ask my advice it's free advice email me the stones of your dreams I'll evaluate for you if you want me to help you find the better stone I will help you buy and find that better stone for free so take advantage of the service please follow the links below and I hope I gain another subscriber happy bigness [Music]
