okay this is a quick walkthrough on how to start your first simulation with defaults in their studio first thing to do is to get the simulation tab relation settings get that one you need to see your surfaces tab and your timeline load your Genesis figure I'll have to make it less shiny import an obj and again I like to make it a little bit less shiny right [Music] use transfer utility to fit the dress to your figure okay that's good enough so now you're ready to start your first dress select your summer dress let's go to simulation settings and the defaults do the use add default modifier and surface simulation settings okay when you look at your service settings now you'll have at the bottom parameters that you can change I prefer to use the timeline to set up drapes change this under frames to simulate make sure it's said to use timeline play range [Music] okay now for pose I'll have to sit it up okay now that looks terrible for reading but it's going to look fine once we draped it okay so when you scrub your timeline you go from zero pose okay now for the first time without just without changing anything I'm just going to start a simulation and see what it looks like click simulate again that actually looks pretty good for the first run of a simulation I don't think I'll need to change a lot what you can do is add more frame rates if I take it to 60 that'll give you longer in the same pose simulated again [Music] and you can see as the simulation keeps on going you get the dress moving more into place with gravity I'm pretty happy with that [Music] now you can start playing with some things so think with us I've got a and see what I've got top trim [Music] I'm actually going to take [Music] dynamic strength to zero which is that and see what that is [Music] okay so that actually gave me a little bit of an overhang across the veldt Slavic we're doing it if it wasn't real belt so if a dress is set up correctly with different materials and there's actually a lot that you can do but it's also easy to use right from the start
