Paris is a top destination for celebrating things like an anniversary a birthday a graduation or a honeymoon and this week it's our turn to treat ourselves our Channel just hit 100 000 subscribers and Colleen is celebrating a milestone birthday so we've decided to stay in a luxury Boutique Hotel and let the team of guides at my private Paris handle the details they're arranged our transfers tickets and itinerary so we can see the city we love like a tourist and they will hold our hands through the Louvre the Opera and Versailles so we can see things we've never seen and not have to worry about anything and we'll also enjoy an afternoon relaxing at the hotel spa we'll have a champagne dinner and an exclusive restaurant including one with a spectacular view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower let's go normally we ride the Metro but visit the private guide we hired arranged for a driver to pick us up for a Leisure ride to our hotel The Pavilion fullberg sounds your mind foreign [Music] one of the cool things about staying at a highly rated hotel is the warm welcome [Music] Dan the front desk clerk quickly switched to English for the check-in process and then he showed us around the hotel it's pretty comfortable [Music] then he showed us our room they upgraded us to the James Joyce suite and that is the only room on the whole floor check out these wide open space and natural lighting there are two bathrooms and a huge bathtub this girl feels pretty special I can make myself at home yes [Music] now let's go get some lunch [Music] we stopped by a bistro near the hotel for a typical lunch of steak fruit before our afternoon activities welcome to the day [Music] since our hotel is so close to the Louvre we decided to meet our guide there that way we could window shop at the galleries along the way and take some time to walk along the river and the blossoms and the tularies garden [Music] it's time to head over to the Louvre and we're meeting our my private Terrace guide there because the last thing I want to do when I'm celebrating is focus on planning and details it costs a little more than a regular tour but I'm off duty and I want to enjoy some concierge style VIP treatment with his credentials we were whisked through a special door and quickly stored our stuff to head out and see the sights now if you saw our video on how to see the Louvre you know how overwhelming I get here I mean we've been many times and I usually leave quickly without seeing what I came for but with Birch Run we learned things like about the underground Fortress that they discovered when they added the pyramid back in the 80s we found quieter areas with ancient art and stuff from Lost civilizations now we're in a section that is much quieter because it doesn't have any big highlights yeah yet it is full of extraordinary Treasures from ancient and lost civilizations [Music] and we went through Napoleon's extravagant apartments and living space holy moly I mean the statues around the ceiling I mean this is just incredible isn't it you see that I do and I finally made it to the open sculpture Gardens with the original pieces from Versailles this was by far the best and most relaxed day I could have ever imagined at the Louvre a couple blocks away from the Louvre is the Palais Royale this Palace and Gardens is where Louis XIV grew up before becoming King and moving to Versailles these trees were a gift from the U.S from the American Patriots [Music] and it's considered the first of many covered passages in Paris there's so many of them that they stretch from the Palais Royale all the way to momart and on our way to the Paris Opera we stopped by the passage Vivienne for a quick visit if you're a Phantom of the Opera fan like I am the Opera Garnier is a must and it's a great place to understand the life in Paris in the mid-1800s the opulent surroundings were the place to see and be seen this is where Nobles and wealthy merchants made deals and art was fully Alive while the story of the Phantom takes Liberties there is a lake there was a chandelier that fell and no doubt there are many Secrets those walls have heard today we got to see the Phantom's private box the grand clocks fireplaces lamps and chandeliers we saw lounges the smoking room and the library where all the musical scores are kept to walk these stairs and foyer you feel connected to something bigger something important and I couldn't be happier than I am right now this has been a thoroughly satisfying visit so what's next I will take you to Versailles I'm going to pick you up with My Chauffeur okay we'll drive you to Versa in style okay and you will ReDiscover Versailles I know you've been there quite a lot of time so I am so happy to have you be in charge and I don't have to do anything but follow you okay cool I'll see you in a couple days see you thank you cheers we have a lot to celebrate when Antoine booked this room he told them I was having a milestone birthday and then just before we checked in La Frenchie's hit 100 000 subscribers we're still amazed and Blown Away by that but we were surprised that the hotel wanted to celebrate too while we were out they put a fresh box of macarons and a nice bottle of champagne in our room and if you know anything about me you know I like bubbles and that's just one more thing I love about this hotel [Music] a surprise well thank you so we just poured a glass of champagne to toast to a hundred thousand subscribers when they knocked on the door and brought me this birthday cake because I'm here to celebrate I have a big birthday that has a zero at the end coming up cheers to celebrating yeah to celebrating to 100 000 subscribers and to your Milestone birthday [Music] it's like eating air with Crispy Crunchy wafer in it to a hundred thousand subscribers cheers to you [Music] and to you all thank you for your support and thank you for your love here's to you to make our night special Antoine booked a prime window seat at the Ciel De Paris on the 56th floor of the montparnas Tower he knows how much I love the Paris Skyline and this view is to die for Sparkles and Bubbles this lobster bisque is so light it doesn't have the cream that all these overpowers the the soup just tastes like lobster it was very good [Music] you see the pinky that means I am very refined or drunk one or the other oh it's so tender oh my God oh my goodness [Music] it's good [Music] what do you start with champagne best thing to do in Paris is to continue with champagne and finish with champagne salty [Music] after a great dinner and lots of bubbles we scheduled a taxi to get these party animals Back to the Hotel this was a great day [Music] today is a lazy day we got to sleep in and enjoy a yummy breakfast downstairs at the hotel they have a beautiful spread with something for everyone and their Cafe Crema was just right we wanted to take it easy and be on our own today so we bought some time stamp tickets and took a light walk over to the museum D'Orsay this museum is full of amazing and familiar art and it's really easy to visit it was kind of funny that the Statue of Liberty was one of the first things we saw but beyond that were many stunning sculptures including some made with both bronze and marble [Music] we saw whistler's mother an overview of the map of Paris a real Daga ballerina and paintings by Monet Manet Cezanne Renoir and the fabulous iconic clock with the view over Paris the Louvre the Opera secretary cool things about the museum D'Orsay is that you don't have to leave when you get hungry there are two cafes and since we just wanted a quick bite we had a light lunch at the cafe Museum D'Orsay by one of the iconic windows you can tell this was a train station because well look at all of the infrastructure after lunch we took some time to visit the van Gogh section this Cathedral is in over sir was which is just a quick train ride from Paris we were there we saw this thing live and it's kind of like I recognize that it looks familiar but it's familiar because we've seen it in the paintings it's very cool [Music] wow pretty extraordinary huh and since I love puzzles we stopped by the gift shop for a little souvenir foreign back to the hotel we stopped to do a little window shopping in the Galleries and specialty shops of San Germain but now it's time for a little rest and a visit to the hotel spa that's an upsight scene for one day and I want to go to the spa I'm in sign me up after all that sightseeing it's time to go to the spa [Music] [Applause] it's dinner time and we've heard really good things about the restaurant Le parisians thankfully it's just downstairs at our hotel so we got to have an amazing meal and enjoy some more bubbles without all the fuss of going out and it was just right for a quiet dinner with my darling Oh my goodness [Music] it's more like yogurt foreign it's the last day of our celebration adventure and once again we're starting off with a delicious breakfast at the hotel [Music] we stored our bags and picked the brain of the concierge who helped us discover some hidden gems to explore for later videos but that's enough work for today my private Paris is in charge of our details once again our guide lore medicine the lobby and took us out to the private driver waiting just outside thank you along the drive she taught us things we didn't know about Paris and she got us ready to discover Versailles through new eyes it's amazing what you can learn from art and history fans [Music] this area has been in movies yeah it has been in movies and uh in series so so the film over here onto the marble Courtyard okay and in the Marion 20 movie and series okay that's uh when she gets to the court of Versailles that's when she first gets into Versailles and in France okay we walk through the rooms of the palace hearing about what they were used for the hidden symbols and the artwork and what life was like in the palace during its heyday good we saw the chapel parlors bedrooms and ceremonial rooms like the Hall of glass where the Treaty of Versailles was signed and other stately events took place [Music] of course we visited the gardens and fountains outside it was wonderful to just relax and celebrate in Paris now I would watch this video next and until next time all as well [Music]
