[Music] what's up guys welcome back spring has officially sprung and that means it's time to start planning those easter dinner menus today we're making honey ginger lamb chops but before we do that please take a quick second to subscribe to the channel make sure to hit that bell enable notifications as well alright guys meet me in the kitchen let's make it happen as you can see here we have a whole rack of lamb that i'm about to show you how to turn into individual lamb chops doing so yourself will actually save you a little bit of money as well because oftentimes the rack of lamb is a couple bucks per pound cheaper than the individual chops so do this yourself it's super easy just break out a nice sharp knife or borrow one from a pirate like i've done here all jokes aside guys i know you guys really get a kick out of this knife you can get yours at dowstrong.com i've linked to it in the description box for anyone that's interested so go ahead and continue to part out your lamb chops until they're all nice and beautiful as you see here and then it's time to season these up so we're going down first with a little bit of fresh squeezed lemon juice the acidity and the lemons will begin to tenderize the meat plus lemon just pairs so beautifully with lamb the flavor profile is perfect definitely use a little bit of lemon on your lamb say that five times fast all right once the lemon juice has been applied we're going down with a little all-purpose seasoning this is a blend of salt pepper garlic and onion powder i actually have my own seasoning coming out very soon guys so stay tuned for that make sure you season all sides including that fat cap you also want to make sure that your lamb comes up to room temperature before you begin to cook it that way it cooks evenly there we go nice and seasoned don't go too crazy on the salt because there is some soy sauce in the sauce later speaking of the sauce let's go ahead and make that so we're going down with one and a half tablespoons of ginger paste followed by one tablespoon of garlic paste a few dashes of sesame oil reminder guys this stuff packs a big punch so a little bit goes a long way don't get too crazy with your sesame oil 1 4 cup of soy sauce and 1 4 cup of honey as always guys specific measurements and ingredients can be found in the description box below going down with some oyster sauce if you don't like oyster sauce you can use hoisin sauce in place of it next we're going to break out that whisk and mix to combine go ahead and taste it here adjust the flavor profile to your preference you can add a little spice if you want you can add a little bit more sweetness by adding a little bit more honey totally up to you next we'll get our skillet smoking hot add some avocado oil because it has a high smoke point perfect for searing meat and then we're going to lay our lamb chops into that hot skillet pressing down firmly to get maximum surface area contact so we can develop that beautiful crust remember guys crust adds flavor to your meat man this is gonna be good there we go after about 60 seconds they should be just about ready to flip let's take a peek say it with me guys looking good go ahead and flip those lamb chops make sure you sear that fat cap as well and you know what's coming next it's time to baste them going in with a couple tablespoons of butter some fresh thyme and that other half of a lemon once that butter melts go ahead and tilt that skillet towards you and use your spoon to baste you can turn your heat down at this point preheat your oven to 400 degrees because we're going to finish these lamb chops in the oven after they get their bath so much flavor in that skillet guys can't wait for you to try this recipe perfect for your easter dinner go ahead and remove those lamb chops from the skillet and place them on a wire rack warm up your sauce and then we're going to brush on that honey ginger glaze onto these lamb chops this is the perfect way to introduce somebody to land for the first time this sauce really makes it super pleasant to eat or if you got a friend that doesn't really like lamb i bet they'll like this the sauce really helps it out make sure you brush the sauce on both sides so go ahead and flip those lamb chops over we're going to pop them in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees just enough time for that glaze to really caramelize and get some nice color as you see right here man those are some perfect lamb chops cook them to your desired internal temperature i like mine about medium looking
