you're watching 25 NBC [Music] [Music] when I just has been called the Tiger Woods of magic he is unlike any magician you've ever seen here he is at work in Times Square with an ordinary deck of cards inside okay like this and all put these into the box [Music] like to think of your part mold it looser but don't let it fall to the ground just loose let's go even more [Music] [Music] some people react in Times Square anyway where's lemon please welcome David Blaine [Applause] [Music] I love the reactions you get doing these tricks I really when you're out on the street with these people still let's start us off right right first off with the trick marker I brought one if you don't I got them I got a magic marker here yeah there's the idea okay from in the deck I want you to I mean look at the deck you could just choose one take a card out okay anyone or yeah and I want you to write your name big across the face of the card and don't worry if I see it yeah it doesn't okay there we go I'll write my name big boss because everybody can see the card and then show it to people yeah great and then look stick it up stick it on the back just stick it anyway that's good okay here's the idea the first part is a is a quick move see I make the cart hold your hand out this one I make the card jump up well if you saw it it actually jumped up to the top I think this is it oh it might not be it here let's see oh we got it I thank God I like the next part here no no watch so look Conan put your other hand on top of the card like a sandwich okay yeah remember this card the four spades can you all see that yeah look if I wave the four you might feel that did you feel anything I feel a tingling in my lower body look see here just left your hands look inside of your hand come look inside I'm so hungry but oh man [Applause] you know that is so cool I mean this in this in this day of incredible stunts that magicians do and they bring out these giant props it's these tricks like I'm right here I don't know how you're doing it it doesn't seem humanly possible that's more impressive to me than the smoke and the fog and let's saw a horse in half you know I like it better what you'll do later you're gonna saw a horse an f2 okay we're gonna do an along cycle how did you get into this how'd you start getting into magic I just always wanted to be a professional you got the look and everything it's great that's what you wanted so it was dentist lawyer you didn't care no it didn't matter no when I was four I would stand in the middle of an empty room and I would just disappear that sort of eliminates dentist all right let's try another one can I see that marker again yeah yeah here Andy this is for you oh thank you that's it he's just happy he's getting a pen which card do you want take one out the ace of diamonds huh good just put it face up right here all right and write your name big across the face I can try it's an ABC after-school special okay could everybody can see this card Andy's car mm-hmm so look what I do is I place it into about I mean I'm estimating but this is about Center if I hit it just like that the card will actually pop up to the top here we'll do it again like Andy pick up about half of the deck we'll drop the card in the middle you put them on top perfect watch closely you turn over the top card see and again it alright now that you all know it's coming we'll do it again this time we'll leave it like this protruding so you can see your name so here's what happens it goes in about 12 cards down plus another 10 so it's 22 if I hit it again it comes out but now wait no no the only way to make it themselves are leaving right now but this is the work of the devil I'm like Andy Andy here's a good part let's say we bend the card that's called a crimp you could see the bend in the card we'll leave it like this protruding so you can see that right chords go right on top look see what happens freaks me out a little bit back last one with the crimp I this is not a sophisticated show we can't do tricks with cameras that was really amazing you know it's funny because you're getting some of the same reactions here in the studio but but you really do when you when you walk around the streets of New York and you do these tricks for people you get amazing reactions what is the most extreme reaction you've gotten from people well one time this girl had asthma I didn't know before I started doing magic so I'm doing these simple things to her and somebody whispered into her ear he's a devil which I guess she took literally and she had an asthma attack and oh another one he's fine now okay good now we can laugh and what else another time is one girl I was in Atlantic City and I was doing magic to these three girls and the one girl took it to such a level that she actually wet her pants Thursby Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up you know there's the next day but now that you mention it when you script that well nevermind [Applause] we have the couch Scot started a long time ago now can you can you show us anything anything else before we well did you want me to sort of demonstrate how one is done for everybody yeah all right that's the idea we use for well for now hold both your hands out okay great so just remember this card it's kind of just remember ace of spades I think I can do that okay good we'll put ace of spades on the right hand subtle you remembering an ace of clubs you put on their left hand like this here got it there but everybody see those are a spades ace of clubs right here's the move watch you get them to look upwards and when they look upwards you do that move and they're looking into your eyes so they won't see it that is the lamest thing I've ever seen sorry about that woman hold on Conan look see ya [Applause] thank someone shut it out here's the devil the audience is now getting pitchforks that's incredible that's amazing really and and I got a that's it pretty much right that's all we got time for we can do it do we want to do one more thing we got time for it we got time for one more let let's do this devil yeah okay I'm not you know when the devil does arrive and he's accused he's gonna he's the devil okay so this will do to Andy and actually everybody at home watching could try this as well so here's what we'll do we'll get rid of a few cards these okay Andy I want you to try to see and I want everybody to come in close so they could see just as well we're gonna have to really pay attention to this show for the first time ever okay really look closely and try to see a card from in this portion not the nine of Hearts but look try to see one now it was too quick here we'll do it again look closely try to see a card if you can okay did you get one yeah okay good don't say it I'm not gonna guess it I know that first of all I know this is not the card and no you wouldn't choose the seven of Spades but look Andy hold the seven for a second great name your card out laughs ace of diamond ace shoot ace of diamonds look turn over the seven of Spades so they can see [Applause] I prayed to you to get this job perfect we gotta mention the APC special - they're now dawning on them what I'm talking about the you've got an ABC special later this season and this is just the tip of the iceberg yeah it'll be really I should tell people how David came to us and came to the offices and and did some stuff in my in my office and it just freaked me out so much and we thought we got to have this guy on the show it's amazing really best of luck and
