He had GOAT mechanics. Like if itβs madden and your building your own QB you want him to throw like Marino
He is better than Elway and Young to me. Only guy that was better during his generation was Montana, who was the unanimous GOAT until Brady came long.
I wonder if ol Dan is underrated by the young folks. He was the greatest pure passer of all time IMO, especially adjusted for era. That quick release helped his sack % quite a bit....some of those stats were downright disgusting in the 80's. He got sacked 6 times in 16 games in 1988, while throwing for over 4400 yards. WTF.
My favorite while growing up. He redefined what is possible from the QB position.
LACES OUT DAN
I mean, the quantified stuff will also tell you Dan Marino was really fuckin good at football.
I grew up a Bills fan when Bills/Phins was a serious rivalry. Even as a young punk I couldn't help but appreciate how great he was.
I still canβt help but wonder how many rings he would have is the Steelers drafted him. Marino never had, outside of a couple seasons, a great defense opposite him.
Heck, imagine if he was the QB of those β85 Bears instead of McMahon?
Only qb to beat the 85 bears
