anything anybody else was doing at the time we were all chasing Danny because of the numbers he was putting up the success that he was having thrown the football [Applause] down the middle touchdown more you are looking live at 1984 he is Dan Marino the seasons hottest headline no quarterback in history has accomplished so much so quickly he will fire it down the far side huh go first or Reno he looked he fired Jensen again Brett touchdown in the middle we talked about breaking records he didn't break records he shattered records Marino quick drop throws for the sideline what a year Marino's having 17 touchdown passes in six games I can't think of another quarterback who's been so dominant there's a quarterback you have to have confidence in yourself that you can do the job and that back left the pits to Kirby here comes Bobby burger it's got fryer wide open Marino to fryer at the 15 10 5 touchdown fourth and five just before it ran out shotgun Marino throws deep downfield it is - Marino you talk about a will to win a plane burns inside that van Dan Marino burrito pulls it down in the shotgun he's looking throws down the middle completely picked up a five makes a move Hey I wonder if ol Dan is underrated by the young folks. He was the greatest pure passer of all time IMO, especially adjusted for era. That quick release helped his sack % quite a bit....some of those stats were downright disgusting in the 80's. He got sacked 6 times in 16 games in 1988, while throwing for over 4400 yards. WTF.

I grew up a Bills fan when Bills/Phins was a serious rivalry. Even as a young punk I couldn't help but appreciate how great he was.

I still can’t help but wonder how many rings he would have is the Steelers drafted him. Marino never had, outside of a couple seasons, a great defense opposite him.
