biscuits from five different places we got Carl's Jr McDonald's Chick-fil-A Popeyes and KFC mm-hmm with the biscuits you did right there Craig ordered his biscuits in he said Popeyes Greg represents Popeyes and Craig came through DC represents KFC KFC cup Chaz is representing McDonald's baby McDonald's come on Kiana is representing Chick-fil-A and I'm representing Carl Winslow [Music] oh yeah it why you just didn't get the regular Popeye's biscuits to make it fair a fair game because strawberry is the regular Popeyes no it's not that's what they're pushing though Jasmine Popeye's got a everything I am because of my dad well I mean forget that like that's not it's not like that I kind of feel that it's like I have to spend more time with my mom now but but even with that storytelling it was a moment where there might have been a switch because he always is that's not my case because my dad gave me a hundred percent of who I am that's like everything is that and so for 30 years that's my guy you know what I mean yeah we had a tiff when I was older already and then that became more so to adults and me having like my dad but when I talk about my parenting as my father I'm like there's zero question that guy's he gets an A plus 100 there's never does his score ever come down for being a father like never that we have we have different issues now but now that I get to see Mom because you know I didn't see my parents for almost 15 years you know so but having my mom now every day is like it's great we get to laugh we could do that stuff but she's not the same lady that raised me you know what I mean who's watching your daughter well my mama's watching my dad that's the favorite goddamn I think if I I think if I hung out for my mom if I was kidding with my mom more now I would like her more than my dad you know what I mean just how like how calm she is they're calm and they just you get to you learn I'm with Chad I didn't learn a lot about my mom until she outside of parents who did you guys so I I read a whole book on godparents did y'all go through the I went through a lot trying to pick my godparents seeing who would be there if I passed and I picked different people than my parents but did y'all go through that stage of who's going to be the godparents kids kids yes you know because it's supposed to be the people that take care of your kids if but yeah it's just not the same it's something happened to me they're going to live with my mom my godfather he came into my life he's always been in my life but when my dad passed he was super there what it is that was my debut into the breakfast Jesus The Godfather of both I don't know who my Godfathers are I just knew I had three godmothers uh Jerry sunny and uh I forget the other one's name I don't know who mine said he passed away but y'all got mother still alive Jerry is uh I gotta ask my mom about the other godmother I won't remember the other one though so I got to ask my mom I talked to my my other godmother uh recently on the phone when I was during all the ancestry stuff I called her oh you okay my mom said call her and I called her I was like oh hey so yeah but I remember her well you got godparents Chef yeah I have my aunt Denita and oh mom sister now it's Mom's uh my mom's best friend oh okay and then I I have slash had a Godfather uh he didn't talk to I I don't know where he's at I haven't talked to him in it's almost 20 years now he'll be trying to find him and he just kind of disappeared so I don't know where he's at he's off the grid he's off the grid man that's even in 20 years my godfather was my father father like he took me everywhere did everything anything he did for his kid and but he would talk to me like I was the homie and give me everything so detailed that I was like damn and then I talked to his kid and his kid be like he ain't tell me that and I was like oh [ __ ] this Godfather thing is something different you're getting the bringing it back um my fear now you know I got several fears like you know uh taking another loss um so now you know losing somebody like that opens my eyes up to anybody can get it now so I fear that um career-wise I fear not being able to maintain momentum um that's probably the main thing I worry about just like man will I run out of material will I will I get stale [Music] um that's pretty much my biggest worry on the career front um I'm always scared of nuclear war because I feel like that can that could still happen be very much a reality especially after I watch openheimer I was a slide and they really dropped the bomb on the city two cities two cities [Music] um but the people that know nothing to do with any of that [ __ ] man mad civilians so it's like stuff like that so those are my fears concerns the environment too I'll be I'll be I'll be thinking about that and I'll be like man we really [ __ ] this [ __ ] up so and if you have children and you care about the future of your own family line you got to think about that like man what do they what are they walking into so those are mine my biggest fear is not failing once you have certain amount of success like I had uh not failing becomes a fear because you never get to weigh what's actually good and what's not you don't know what's you stop believing what people say are positive at a certain point when people like oh that was funny you'd be like ah not really you start thinking of you become your biggest critic and failure isn't part of the plan so failing is my not being able to fail is my biggest fear not being able to yeah I'm assuming like when the celebrity you don't know where you can get something everybody but you're not failing everybody just likes everything yeah I don't like it but everybody else other than that everything I was gonna do it I feel like yesterday Sunday was the first time I seen Keon Getty Kian was because I really think about that yeah it was so good it wasn't even I was like oh I'm excited people are here Kim was like oh my God I don't know what to do because I did not I walked in I said I said what's what's the count can be so common collected until Sunday he was giddy bro I was like we walked in there I said what's what's the count and I'm thinking you did the big room too right yeah and I'm thinking yeah yeah small one whole like 50. they have like a you room oh on sale I said why are y'all here on purpose and it was like yes like we everybody it wasn't no we didn't know you know free tickets like we are here to see you and I was like oh [ __ ] it was a big difference between so last year when we went um that was my first remember he just came back that was I need some stage it sure yeah and then uh that was it and so then so then like when we left cam was like all right I just got to keep building just gotta keep working this is literally what you said on the way out yeah so then you come back a year later yeah dog like it's just working man so I was just and that's all I ever think about is like funny and all that [ __ ] you know I mean like we do that you know I mean like even with when our haters be like this [ __ ] ain't funny or whatever like we know for a fact we're not we would not be working if we weren't funny right so that's not a concern anymore yeah but is is enough people gonna buy in to not just your funny but you as a person like people can agree that everybody's funny be like but I don't like him or I don't like her right they're hilarious but I don't we know a bunch of comedians that everybody is undeniably funny and they bought that people don't like her they pulled up did you sell anything oh yeah they were happy to see me yeah so yeah that's my only uh thing I think about all the time is when if people can buy in that's pretty much it other than that money and all that stuff that's gonna happen that's gonna come but yeah that's it fear for me career-wise it would probably be a fear of like falling out of love with it uh if like if I didn't love it anymore because it'd be like if I'm just performing it is scary yeah scary that's because you know when we do this it's for the love like we be we literally have to be in love with stand up to deal with a lot of stuff that we deal with especially early in the game right like that fire that keeps us keeps us going so falling out of love what it would be a fear is the reason why uh big Damon quit stand up a couple times because it got to a point where he didn't know if they were laughing because they were laughing or they were laughing because it was him what was the other part of the question well that goes along with your [ __ ] more yeah that's more yours yeah you just tailored that to yours yeah mine was totally different what you just said like the unknown I was going to apply for a security card job and like I didn't know what I was going to be doing yeah I don't know yeah I was like what am I doing now because I'm definitely not doing these Zoom shows if this is what a comedian is I'm done I'm done with this [ __ ] I'm not doing no more zoom stand up so it took some of the stress off my plate I mean I had to hustle online but yeah the online actually benefited me too yeah so it's like another one then I can just focus on content yeah I guess I gotta prove it out of that rather than you know yeah made you tap in though yeah it did what it did for my relationship like we were forced to sit down and just hang out every day that's when we became like like best friends over the pandemics when you know I talk about it on stage how we just got really really really really tight a couple years ago and it was from hanging out non-stop all the time time having a bunch of conversations besties and then now yeah that's my dog yeah jazz um I don't have a lot of personal fears I feel like if anything happened to me and my family be all right um you know it was like to not be there but yeah they all be fine without me uh career-wise I I have this fear of waking up to an alarm uh going to some place I hate putting on a fake smile trying to get through the day coming coming home and still being mad about the day and and then waking up at the middle of the night because I don't want to wake up tomorrow and I just thought about all the potential I leave on the floor all the stories I never finished all the stages I never hit um everything that I ever wanted never coming you're talking about you had like a different job just just like you know there's a reality that like you get to a certain part and then it doesn't work right like you can't afford to feed your family off this right yeah and so so then it would be the having to you know eventually I'll be like yo like if this [ __ ] don't work if you don't if you can't feed your family pay some bills off of it yeah you got to look at a reality of like yo do I have to go get this job do I have to go do this thing and I don't have a whole lot of experiences and master degrees I got a degree and it don't even matter I'm gonna get something that you're gonna be like oh man well you know you graduated high school 20 something years ago it's a huge work Gap you haven't had a real right do so many exactly you know Jazz like so you ate biscuits okay here you go sir but look though we all are not qualified to work in the work world for sure punching the clock but that that's that's the only fear I have is like going back to loading luggage going back to working at YouTube I hope I can be manager supervisor here you know I mean that that's like I don't even want this [ __ ] I'm sitting here looking at all you guys like what would be your real job if you didn't do comedy still be over there hopefully to drive a truck I will go back to school get my degree and then teach and I go back to sales no no that would that would be me in the classroom I can work my way up to some job somewhere I could probably get into corporate somewhere but you corporate I was corporate at UPS I was a supervisor and at the FlyAway I was a manager I've been manager every job but you can wear shorts the next time no no not when I did the flight not loading luggage when I was when I first thought I was a parking I was a man I was supervisor of the whole spot you had a shirt tucked in Ty oh wow you wasn't disheveled no same with the UPS instead right it was different it would have been a bigger turnout like I think for now I have to do one-nighters and then just built like a Thursday yeah and just build from there because the weekends if you know I need all of them to come at once yeah because it'd be like if 20 come here but they all come at once they might not might not all fit on One show well that'd be a problem I'd love to have it's better to just be live sold out yeah and it builds momentum right I feel that so it's like passionate for God the Saturday shows were fine in Kentucky but it was the overall weekend was was action that's fun it was worse in Kansas City no no they wouldn't work Kansas City we had a cancer show in Kansas City well yeah we canceled the show yeah oh we didn't know no no I thought I said it I thought so too cancel show for what nah it was just four shows why 75 because it was ashy no we did not know that I didn't know that if I would have known that I would have said something so hope to God something happens and we don't have to do this damn I did not want to because I would rather I would rather take the complete L and do no show that gets shuffled into the smaller piece because I felt like it was better doing the bar than that big old open room with 20 15 20 people yeah I was like just doing a bar so I was fine with that it was the energy not the bar setting like that 1520 would have been lit in that bar and showed him in five oh they was just a it was just it was it was late Friday bro it was late homie ate it bro yeah and the hills did not help because sometimes anyways you got to kind of reset your own energy anyways you know if you don't get to have your people so late Friday everywhere in the country I'll be having like like it's been weird like the past few cities uh the later shows like in Lexington the later shows were selling faster than the earlier ones it was weird for Friday and Saturday oh really yeah I normally don't see that Trend there's a concert there's a fair there's another comedian there's the weather I don't want to hear none of that [ __ ] cause I know people pulling people do what they really want to do they went somewhere right people do what they really want to do so yeah the no shows are very personal because it's like I wasn't good or important enough for you to come and that's just the truth there's no other way around it because you you make what you want to do you're gonna go do it yeah exactly so if you didn't pull up I don't wanna and even when I like I tell people just say I don't want to come like I hate the excuses of oh I couldn't do it no just say you didn't want to come which I can handle don't lie to me the good thing about Pleasanton even those late shows I felt like was still alive but if you just slapped on some Bay music that's all you got to do it you put on some Mac Dre it was turned up anyways no I was like you don't even have to be a big one party yeah you throwing Dilo that's it you'll be asking like who's this that [ __ ] right there him right here that's him rapping yeah they was on saying the music came on I was like yeah a party so it is certain areas it's like y'all all right with me some of you [ __ ] but this is all part of the process of just like you know finding out you know where your bases are yeah so well I messed up instead of just getting full weekends in certain cities this year I should have just been like let's do one night Lexington yeah just because I've never been oh out the gate my first time in Lexington and then coming back yeah so yeah like Oxnard Lexington Kansas City I should have knew better but I was like man maybe let me give him one more chance yeah yeah and then uh other than that it was just like everybody else is good but it was too many else for me this year something's like I'm going back to drawing board yeah regroup yeah so that was the game plan right there we gotta get the hell up out of here DC where am I at 17th the small room listen I need you guys see this is the only show that we're focused on let me go to practice make Chaz look good please and then on September 2nd through the 3rd I shall be in shy town at the Den theater uh with Sean because it's the then the den the den theater with uh Shantae Wayans um oh my bad real quick and on the patreon I put up a my whole entire crowd work live all that stuff is up there on on the patreon it's just three bucks if you want to see that entire performance there's a part two coming because I messed up and so they'll be on there as well coming to see you uh I don't all right so I know I have to change my schedule because my date in Tacoma might be changing so as of now it's still August 18th through the 20th in Tacoma at Nate Jackson's Comedy Club but it might be changing um August 13th I'm at Flappers in the Yoo-hoo room they're doing like a 45 minute special thing or whatever so come out to that let's pack that out so yeah I'll just push that
