hello i got requests for fix this issue right here that's for sure to do so essentially we've got these four cylinders coming around this cylinder like so and we're getting these kind of distortion problems happening here and so essentially this is a question of topology on a cylinder and so the solution is actually very simple the problem is very simple here if you look at these cylinders the problem is is that all these cylinders all have 12 sides let's just count two for example one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve all right one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve so as you can see the problem is these cylinders are taking up more and more surface area of the cylinder but for some reason they still have 12 sides so to show you on the flat example here start with this plane [Music] all right and so let me just turbo smooth this all right there we go so essentially if i select this right here and use regularize you can see it's eight sides alright if i select this and regularize you can see it's now 12 and if i select even more you can see it's now 14 and so if we keep selecting larger larger pieces we need more and more topology right here so of course nowadays if you're using boolean you can very easily use retopology modifier so for example we can just do something like [Music] and then we can just use three topology and you can get this nice clean result right here however this person wants some of the typological reason this is happening so i'm going to go ahead and reconstruct this example all right let's decide how many sides each cylinder needs in order to fit comfortably into this object right here in this situation this is way too much and let's also help ourselves out by inserting loops through here as well just to kind of isolate what's going on here all right so if we take a look at this you can even do is practice by for example making cut cutouts right here so for example right something like that so you can decide for example to have six so we select this and we enter in six right here and there we go as you can see it matches very well right there all right as for this one two three four five so we can choose 10 for this one as you can see it matches right there so how do you work that out is you would do this you can make these vertices and for example right here and connect like so all right as for this one one two three of course there's some ways we can do this we can do this for example all right so one two three four five six seven eight which gives us 16. one two three four five six seven eight 9 10 which gives us 20. and in fact since i've cut that out now when you do this for real you would of course boolean and then simply work it out but since i've cut this out to show the example topology we can just select this [Music] and extrude upwards [Music] all right one more tip i can give you is you also want to have topology going around here to quickly get that simply go into polygon by angle i may need to lower this all right and simply first i will do symmetry all right we're simply going to inset that and that will give us a loop going around here all right so that is a basic topology lesson right there [Music] all right and there we go thank you for watching and take care [Music] [Music] you
