all right now go to the next page in the manual page 16 and we are going to start at the top of the page at the very top there it says first Corinthians 1:30 and notice again what what statements are we looking for we're looking for the statements or the terms that say things like in him by him by whom of him in him all these different things so when you see that automatically and here's what you have to train yourself when you see that any of those statements know right then that they're going to usually the Apostle Paul is saying it and it is going to tell you something that is a present reality right now in the spirit okay or is this was something that was done for you it has been deposited in you and it's already there it's not something that you have to wait for to get it's already there okay now you may have to renew your mind to it for it to be able to work out but it is not something you have to wait to get okay when it says that the love of God has shed abroad in your hearts about the Holy Ghost then that means that the love of God is already in you so that and it's kind of funny because one of the best examples that I have seen that illustrate some of these principles we're talking about was there was a person in a church they were I was at and they were all praying beforehand and they would get down the front and they would all pray and they would cry out to God and it was there was a lot of things going on I'm not saying it's always wrong I'm just saying you should never ask God to do what he's already done right and you should never ask God to do what he told you to do okay so you do your part he'll do his part and you have to accept the things that he's already done as already done and once you knock those two things out to be honestly there's not a whole lot to ask God for it's amazing what's been provided already well his one guy was right on the front and he was crying out and his heart was absolutely and when I say heart I'm not referring to his spirit okay because the spirit knows see the spirit didn't cry out this way because the spirit knows better but his heart is that area that has to do with the soul like a connection of the soul that is part of the unrenewed part and he was crying out of his heart that was part of it was coming it was part of the will the emotions and things that was coming out of his soul but his spirit knew better so wasn't coming out of his spirit but he's kind of like how we say the soul connects the spirit to the body where the heart connects the soul to the spirit right that's another way of looking at it and so he was just crying out God give me a love for people God give me a love for people God give me a love for people I want to evangelize the world I want to evangelist God give me a love for people and I was coming up and we had already done some things and it was kind of we'd already been in the middle of a several sessions of a conference there and there were several people crying out different things but that one I could hear it for some reason I could hear it a little better than the other stuff and finally just walked over to him and his eyes were closed I mean he was crying and you know it was heartfelt I mean he wasn't there was no fake to it and it wasn't bad it was just wrong right and so I walked over to him and his eye was closed and kind of tapped him on the head and he's he opens eyes look when I'm stammering friend I said the fact that you're praying that proves you already have the love for the people I said if you didn't have the love for the people you wouldn't be praying that that's because you wouldn't care I said so quit praying that and if you're gonna ask up for something ask him to give you a plan and ask him to show you what the first step is and if you do if he doesn't show you a step find a step and step out and it was amazing instant transformation instant he's like wow I mean it just you could tell it registered with him and then but the beauty of was he didn't go back to his chair and sit down he stayed there and began worshipping God and from then on everything was cleared out he was god you're so awesome God you answer even before I call God you're doing this and it is like now that's worship alright and it but it changed right so anyway let's get into this but of him are you in Christ Jesus who of God now watch underline this because it's underlined in your manual parentheses around it is made unto us and it's talking like Jesus Jesus is made unto us wisdom righteousness sanctification and redemption right so when if you say this again I'm trying to teach you kind of how to fish so to speak how to think in this if Jesus is made unto you wisdom righteousness sanctification Redemption then what do you have well do you have Jesus of course you do so if you have Jesus and Jesus has made to us wisdom righteous st. fication Redemption then you also have wisdom you also have righteousness you also have what sanctification you also have Redemption amen because that came with Jesus and Jesus was made that to you so you have wisdom so now it's funny because you have to remember remember we talked about this in the game if you're going to read the Bible you have to know who was writing who they were writing to or who they were talking to you have to look at the audience you have to look at the circumstances around it alright because I what I'm fixing to say is once I make the statement I'm gonna say you're gonna have a question go and say what about this and I'm answering that now before I tell you that what I'm gonna say before you even ask the question you got that yeah and what it means is this if Jesus is made unto us wisdom and we don't have to ask for wisdom right now but James says if he need you lack wisdom let him ask God right now see people say what about that okay yeah if you lack wisdom ask God do you lack wisdom no because Jesus made unto us wisdom the reason I'm the difference between that that's not a contradiction the difference is James was written to new believers brand new believers brand new didn't know anything right that's why he said you notice James and didn't even tell me if you get sick pray for yourself that's how new they were didn't even tell them to pray for yourself you got it says call the elders let them do it right and and if you look at James and you've been to the DHD you've heard me say this before the book of James is a primer for the Christian life if you'll take the book of James if you get a new believer take them to the book of James let that be the first believers Bible study because the in the book of James is everything they need to live the Christian life it's amazing it tells you how to treat people it tells you not to have partiality if this person comes in and good clothes and this person comes in him you know bad clothes you don't treat one better you don't pull the the nice dress from up front and make the poorly dressed one sit at the back you don't do that way you treat them all the same it says it tells you to watch your tongue right watch your mouth watch what you say it tells you what to do if you're afflicted it says if you're afflicted what do you do you pray because if you're married what do you do you sing right if you're sick you're confident it gives you everything you need to know of how to live the basic Christian life it'll get you started so whenever James was telling them if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who will give it liberally without abrading or scolding him well he was saying look you're new you don't know how to access what you have so yeah you can ask God and he'll bring it to you now I would dare to venture to say that when a person reading the book of James that you know there were actual people that James wrote the book to and it went to them and they got it and they actually read it and that was who James meant it for right so there's a particular group of people I would dare say that whenever Jane when they got that book and they read it and they would begin to pray oh yeah man I definitely need wisdom because this is all new to me and I'm you know I'm end up walking more in the flesh than the spirit because I don't know how to do this so god I need wisdom I would almost venture to say that usually the answer to that prayer would come in the form of the next time they got together usually in the form of the the message that was preached by the pastor of those people because usually that's how God answers new believers is through the wisdom of an overseer that pours that wisdom out to them and they'd say God I need wisdom about this and even James says if you have a business you know you don't settle into this or does that me say if the Lord will we'll go here and do that because you never know what's going to happen on that and he said but let's separate says this book was written James was written to these people they look at it and I say okay yeah man okay I lack wisdom well you know I have two different job offers one over here I'm over here which one do I take what should I do and god I need an answer this I need wisdom what they're praying but they're praying for an answer to praying for wisdom more than likely the next time they got together as a group more than likely by the spirit God answered that prayer by saying you know if you're trying to make a decision about something here's the process to make a wise decision well that would be God giving them the answer wisdom but it it doesn't have to drop in you to go being here now you know it it can come through the fivefold ministry because that's the purpose of the fivefold ministry I meant to show you the process of wisdom now well as you start to grow you will learn how to access the wisdom that's in you through Jesus because that wisdom is there and all that overseer does is access the wisdom of God that's in him and the Holy Spirit brings it and says throw this in you know he might have been preaching on in healing and says you know and by the way when it comes to healing if you're trying to make a decision whether to go here go there go to this person go to that person call this but you know it's like making a decision of where to go - what job to take and just throws it in there and the minister is thinking this is just something I'm throwing out there and the whole time it's the Holy Spirit going to throw that in and then the one person sitting there going wow that's my answer you know we kind of had that this morning one lady and then when I was up in Portland no Vancouver Washington I was at a Russian Church and they spoke Russian I didn't I had to have an interpreter and I was it was on a Saturday and ya know the Sunday morning Saturday night we had the healing service went back to my room they asked me to speak Cindy I went back in I sat down I said God you know I started writing kind of some notes because I had an idea where would I say what do these people need what specifically what do you want me to bring out to them and and it's funny because I had a clock in front me and all of a sudden I'm writing these notes and it takes a total 90-degree turn whoo right there it's like wow okay wow that's I don't know how that's going to work in with that you know because it doesn't seem to fit okay well made the notes and had a couple of scriptures there and I went and I happened to just look up and look at the time it was 10:45 that night and so the next morning went to church sit there I'm preaching got the interpreter with me and I start preaching and I've got had a couple of notes and then I got to that part where it made the turn and I put to acid you know and I don't know exactly what's going on you know with that I said because it really didn't apply but it is important and I brought that out finish praying for everybody and as we were trying to walk out there's young man walked up to me and he said you know I've just been saved about a month and a half and he said but I'm on fire he said I really God has changed my life and he said last night at 10:45 I prayed and said god I got to have an answer somehow you've got to get this answer to me and I said 10:45 he said yeah and he's and he said what you preach this morning was the answer to the prayer I prayed last night and so I said particularly what was that at 10:45 that you prayed and that's when he told me and I said that's when I got this and he's like really I said yeah and the thing was yeah it impressed me because it's like yeah I do hear God yeah that's always good to know that you know as a minister it's good to know that you hear God's but and it was neat to know the time and that kind of thing but what was really amazing was it the impact it made on this young man who had been saved a month that God had such care for him that he would change a message that was meant for about a thousand people and would take a moment and change the entire message just for him and that made the impact friend so and it was good cuz I'm like okay I want to go back and remember what that was like and what that felt like cuz and then I'll know for sure then wouldn't that happens I no that's leading that direction I won't ignore it you know so don't know how I got off in that but anyway it's strictly yeah and then I was accessing the wisdom of God Aeschylus so I didn't hear a voice nothing else it was just a turn now you do need to learn how to start accessing these things that you have and the fastest way to access them it's just like what I teach in the DHD you start stepping out the fastest way is you recognize a need if you need boldness I have luck it was like would you pray that I had that bonus okay really there's not a prayer for boldness now in the early church they did pray you know Lord give us boldness that we can step out and say that concept okay but you have to remember they didn't have it all together and a lot of their theology they were working out as they went along you never find another prayer for boldness right never boldness comes from knowing what you're talking about when you are certain and you're sure you were bold so generally people come to me and they say would you pray for me for boldness I I really don't and I tell them that's some of the same thing I'm telling you right now if you want boldness get sure go in know what you're talking about I said boldness is just like when someone asked you your name and you say my name is this you don't hesitate you don't think about it you don't back off a little bit alone maybe I'm not sure no you say here it is and if that person said no that's not your name yeah what is your name well my name is Bill no no your name is Scott no you're gonna look at him like you're crazy I know my name my name and I see boldness is stating that out and my name is this but you what makes boldness boldness is the fact that you have the conviction behind it that if they disagree with you you're gonna say no this is right and you will stand for it right and so I'm the boldness that you need the way to get bonus is not praying for and if you want to pray for it pray for it believe you receive and then go act like you got it you can do that or you can skip that part and just go act like you got it all right either way it works the same way and so you just step out stepping out is the fastest way to access anything so if you if you want to access the wisdom of God the fastest way to do that is to put yourself in a position of responsibility where people are asking you for answers because that requires you to access that wisdom right you put yourself out there and so the fastest way to grow is to take on responsibility find the people take that responsibility you will grow right it's just like having a child you know I don't know of any man that grew up until they had a baby you know till their wife had a baby let's be specific okay and when their wife had a baby the men start growing up right because all of a sudden ants yeah I know I had a wife I know I had to you know take care of her and stuff but now I got a baby that I have to take care of and if something happens you know and so anybody yeah let's look at the next one first Corinthians chapter 3 verse 1 and I brethren could not speak unto you as unto spiritual but as unto carnal even as unto babes parentheses in Christ okay now what and if you've been to the DHD again this is another scripture we use that it shows a difference between being spiritual and carnal and it gives the definition of being carnal as being a babe in Christ okay which also ties him with Ephesians 4 that says that you'll be no more children carnal tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine right what because the carnal mind is not renewed so it's not spiritual so it thinks carnally and it thinks what most would say naturally logically and therefore when someone comes in with some good words they're easily swayed well that sounds good wow that's really you know it if you let if you're a carnal minded and you go listen to Jehovah Witnesses they can sound right but what makes them sound right is not what they're saying but the fact that they're so sure of it when they say it right so 1/2 of what we think is good preaching is just saying it matter-of-factly right and people say things are wrong matter-of-factly and it's still wrong so you can't go by how they sound to go by what they're saying and does it line up with Scripture amen that's why you should never just take out your brain at the door and hang it on the Hatrack and not think when you go into church you need to analyze you need to be the Berean go in search the stuff out read it out I've been to some couple of places were very big-name well-known people would say things and the thing that I noticed and I even point out to my daughter that was with me at the time I said tonight we go this meeting watch this because I knew who was preaching and I said every time they say turn to the scripture and they read it they quote it accurately but every time they just say they start to quote a scripture and say don't turn there they don't quote at all they don't quote it accurately and they actually changed the meaning and I noticed that and so she knows and I said that when went the meeting and sure enough every time they said turn there they said it right in context right meaning and honestly I couldn't didn't know couldn't figure out at that point if they were doing that on purpose or not you know still not real sure but the thing is you should analyze and if they say the scripture says this year to go look and see now I'm not talking about paraphrasing I mean I you know Kennedy Paul did not write in King James all right so what do you quote King James accurately or not is not the point the point is are you getting the idea across that Paul was trying to make or Peter or any of the others so you got to look at it and they throw maybe paraphrase and not say it exactly according to the Elizabethan English the King James type style but if the idea is there and the message is there then it's okay but if they are changing the intent of the scripture that's when it's a problem and if that is a problem you got two choices you be polite when they quit talking you go talk to them say you said this and it said this and that's wrong or you decide to vote with your feet and just walk out the door I mean that's pretty much the way it is okay but you know you don't have to stand up and go excuse me you're messing that scripture up you're not to do that you can come to at the end and if they if you're right and they're wrong and they have integrity then the next opportunity they get they'll say you know it was brought to my attention that I said this and I said it wrong and I didn't mean it that way and I see this and we're gonna change it so we have to change things right we can never be so well the Lord were to use actually but we must always be willing to change we always have to be willing even to say if we were wrong about something today we're going to change it because we can't leave the people with the wrong idea just so we don't lose credibility in their eyes Amen what I found is when I've corrected myself people actually it adds to credibility because I say okay he's serious about getting it right right but the devil will try to use fear to make you think you'll lose credibility and you don't amen okay no in first Corinthians 4:17 he says for this cause have I sent unto you timotheus who is my beloved son and faithful in the Lord notice in the Lord and watch what he does who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ as I teach everywhere in every church Nate that the reason I bring this out is first office says which be in Christ and he's faithful in the Lord but the thing here to remember is this Paul said I'm gonna send you Timothy Timothy is not going to come preach his own message Timothy is going to come and bring to your remembrance what I said he's going to bring to your remembrance my ways why because he's a son and the Lord he he imitates me as I imitate Christ and if I send Timothy it's going to just like me be in there right then he says and this is a big part bring your remembrance of my ways which be in Christ as I teach everywhere in every church and you know what that means that means that Paul didn't tell one church one thing in another church another thing that means that Paul taught the same thing everywhere he went and he laid out the same rules now this just said what I say same rules what I mean is he laid out too singing gospel everywhere he went he didn't have a different message for each different Church amen now every church is in a different state of growth there's different times to bring out different things but overall the message has to be the same at some point every church is going to go through the same process and they're going to get there to have the same kind of problems and you need to have the same gospel going in there and so whenever he says this you know this takes away from when this church is this and that church is that and this church has this personality and that church has that person we know there's difference different feelings when you get to when you go to different churches but the key is that teaching should always be the same you're going to have some people most churches model the personality of the the leader of the pastor the overseer and so when you go in there there will be some that are heavily action-oriented some that are heavily mission oriented some that are heavily family oriented now the problem has been I'm gonna make this very clear okay the church we have to be family-oriented meaning that we have to minister to the whole family okay but the church is not a social club to where the purpose of coming is to have fellowship or social time with family you understand that there is fellowship there's time together but let me just be very specific there is this thing in the church especially here in America some other countries not quite as much but it's still there some too but mainly because whatever America does in the church it spreads to every other nation so whatever is here now when I was in Australia maybe I guess a couple years ago two years ago so I told I started out teaching SWAT and in the middle of it stopped and said okay listen there's stuff going on America it's not here yet I'm warning you when it gets here ignore it stay away from it it's not right it's not of God but America exports everything and it will be here and the rest of the world follows America so just know it's coming and stay away from it because it's wrong and so there's times when when we can minister like that and share that information with people here in America as I've said before most organizations take on the personality of the majority of its constituents but so in other words in America the majority of the people in the church have been women so the pastor's eventual over a period of time started ministering more toward women and so it started taking more of a feminine character and you started hearing more about the church being the Bride of Christ and things more of a feminine aspect and because of that a lot of the masculinity the aggression the the forcefulness the things you see in the early church that caught that they as they would say they've turned the world upside down was lost and the church ended up being more of a feminine nature and more nurturing than governmental and kingdom oriented and changing the area I mean and we started nurturing these people and I'm not saying that's bad it needs to be there but it needs to be in balance and the church had become and had come to a place where they now because it was mostly women and children coming to church that we became quote-unquote family churches and family oriented now there's nothing in the Bible that says that okay the Bible says we were Kingdom oriented and we are a kingdom family so it talked about the family of God and it talks about families talks about husbands taking care of their wives it talks about children obeying their parents and you know it gives us structure but the problem has been now because we have taken the rump because of the unrenewed mind part we have directed the church totally self-directed in other words the preaching has been toward it's about you and so if you're sitting in the pew you hear this is about me and therefore it's about us being a family and taking care of family and all that kind of stuff and again there's truth to that but the problem is we have gotten away from the fact that our preaching is not about family but it's about evangelizing the world and the Great Commission and in that we make family Deema important thing in a church because of the direction we've taken and because of that we've not makin the world and winning the world the most important thing and then it ends up being more about us and becomes a social club instead of a world changing organizational organism now in that for instance we end up making this about us and about our kids and our family and that's the most important thing and then whatever your kids grow up they grow up hearing that and then when they grow up they think it's all about them and so now when they grow up instead of thinking mission field they think College better job better house nice things and they start thinking it's all about my comfort my happiness and it's and because that's what they heard in church from the time they were growing up you know this is about me it's about me being better it's about me having a good life right which is not the gospel the gospel is about you giving up your life now the problem is this I'm 10 you this is the reason why the world for the most part has been taken over by cults because cults demand that you expand right there was I was riding on a I was on an airplane and I read a magazine that had an article concerning they had done an interview with the they come the chief apostle of the Mormon Church and they went there and interviewed him and they said you know looking over these statistics 70 to 80 percent of all of your young people whenever they turn of age they give two years of their life to the mission field automatically 70 to 80 percent and they asked them they said how did you do this how do you get them to do that and the man looked at him said what do you mean how do we get them to do it and said that that's phenomenal in the church world no other denomination has that kind of missionary rate and he said oh oh oh oh kasi he said it's very simple we expect it that was his answer we expect our kids to give two years of their life to the mission field when I was coming back from Australia last time before last yeah I got on a plane and there was about 30 Mormons on there with me missionaries that had been in Australia from here in America for two years that was their mission trip or their mission time and they were all I guess maybe 18 19 20 to maybe 25 and it is amazing and they were all you know they all looked the part they all had on you know black pants white shirt black tie tag on there you know it's funny sitting next to a kid is 19 years old it says elder you know it's just like that's kind of funny thinking and so we sit there and I got to talking we got to talk and it was really good conversation because I was talking about healing and some of the things we saw while we were in Australia and asked them where they were going back to and but it just really hit me here's that's what the their church expects it and it's built into everything they do because they have that expectation well what do we expect in our kids yeah honestly we mostly what most Christians expect their kids to do is backslide you talk to most people and how just pray for my kids are going off to college I hope they come back saved you know they're gonna go offs are going together you know they're going to get wild they're gonna do know you need to start expecting your kids to do the right thing you need to expect them to give their life to Christ you and but everything you talk so you can't tell them the gospel is it you've got to give your life to the gospel you got to believe the gospel but listen you know stay home from church tonight because you got exams coming up and you need to cram for your exams and you need to make sure you make a passing grade because you got to get a good job you got to get a good house you've got to get it you know you can't preach out of both sides of your mouth my kids know the gospel preaching the gospel is the most important thing they can ever do bottom line nothing else comes anywhere near doing that now it has nothing to do with finances has nothing to do it how they live the house they live in or anything else it has to do with them given their life to the gospel amen and my kid even my grandson whenever I again I've told the story about this that I was doing a DHD in Grand Junction Colorado my daughter was not supposed to she was pregnant but she wasn't opposed to give birth to another two months and I'm in the middle of a DHT and all of a sudden I get a phone call where Cristal has gone into labor which many times when I'm going a trip things back home happen to try to distract me or pull me off the field and the first thing the last said is you know she's this is happening and we actually they not we they the doctors they actually lost her twice on the table and on you know in delivery and were able through liens to bring her back and so she was giving birth and they're calling me I'm you know several hundred miles away my wife said here's what's going on I said oh calibrate the pasture heard what's going on he said hey if you need to go home we'll fly you home we can have you home in a couple hours and we can postpone this and redo it reschedule it and I said you know wait I said I'm not going but just hang on here and so I started talking to my wife whenever she put crystal on the phone because said daddy were are you okay well I've already lost a child crystal was the one when my first daughter died nine months later literally almost of the day crystal was born and was an exact identical twin of the one that died right I mean God gave us when their God didn't take our first baby I make that clear that was the devil no doubt about it but God replaced her with an identical twin even had some of the same mannerisms it was really unnerving in some point okay and so whenever hear you've lost your first child and now the replacement child is saying where are you and they're losing her on the table and these things are going on and she's given birth and all these things are going on and she's crying out to his end daddy where are you I need you aren't you here that's not easy but that's when it comes in that you have to decide I am a soldier of the gospel if I was in the military and I was overseas they're not gonna fly me home because my daughter is giving birth they're not gonna do it I'd have to stay on the field and see pictures and talk to on a phone and I had to decide and I told her I said she's a daddy weren't you here I said I'm on the field I'm preaching the gospel she said well I need you here and I said there is nothing I could do there that I can't do from here and honestly my family didn't understand that and this goes against everything has taught in a church because according to church my family should be first and I should run home and it should be honest that but I'm telling you the gospel the kingdom comes first it has to and because now here's the reason why we prayed we got results she got better then I'd go back and teach again they would call me again say this is going on again so it was back and forth I'd pray again she'd be okay again and it's went on the whole day like just back and forth but then finally at the end of the day when it's all over she was good the baby was born and I started talking to him on the phone and she said you know dad why didn't you come when I was gonna I said look I said two things number one whenever Levi and my grandson's name is Elijah Levi I said whenever he gets old enough he's gonna look at pictures of his birth he's gonna look around he's gonna see anybody there and we're a big part in his life I see him every day he's with us every day and I said he's gonna know I'm a big part in his life he's gonna say pop I see everybody there but you where were you why weren't you at my birth and I'm going to look at him and say because I was preaching the gospel and I cannot raise him to believe that he should give his life to the gospel and the gospel is more important than his life and then say oh as soon as I heard your being born I ran home that would make him more important in the gospel I have to build this into my family that the gospel is most important now you say well that's all right okay let me let me show you it was really love that kept me from going back because I love my family enough to know that if the enemy knew that to get me off the field all he has to do is hit my family now I've just made them a target every time I go on the field they're a target and I and he will constantly hit them and constantly trying to do something to get me off the field but if he knows that no matter what he does and no matter what he attempts he cannot get me off the field then he'll leave them alone and I can stay there and do my job amen but I can't raise him to tell him that the gospel is the most important and yet make him more important than the gospel and the problem is you make your kids and your family life more important than the gospel now I told my wife years we've been married 30 30 five years this year and we were talking with Kim this morning about this whenever I proposed to her we were at my parents home now I was walking down this we were walking down this road and I told her at that point I don't know what God's plan is and this was long before anybody knew anything before I even knew about John Lake or anything else and I said I don't know what God's plan is but I know this if you stick with me you'll be known around the world because God's got a plan for our life and I said but I told her look when I was 16 months over 17 months old I got hit by a car my mom dedicated me to God told God did and I'm not gonna go in the whole story if you haven't heard the whole story 172 stitches six hours of surgery my right ear was ripped off my scalp was ripped down it was a mess wasn't supposed to live it was supposed to have brain damage when supposed to have any hearing in my right ear no hair I mean everything my mom was went to praying and dedicated me to God I guess I want a little story I said I wouldn't but I am giving you the short version okay and so she kept dedicating to God the doctor here coming out and saying okay it looks like it might live but he's going to have brain damage he'd go back in my mom and go back to prayer he'd come back and I said we can't find any brain damage but you'll never have any hearing my mom went back to prayer and just thing after thing you know and just kept going and she dedicated me to God then whenever I was in the military God started doing with me about preaching and so when I got out of the military then I knew I was supposed to preach and didn't know anything at that point just knew God didn't spare my life so whenever I married my wife I told her at that point I said you know I don't know what all the plans are but I do know this and and I made sure she knew God had first dibs on me I said I'm gonna go with God no matter what I'm goin with God I want you to go with me if at any time you decide not to because legally biblically I can't leave you but if you ever decide not to go I'm going with God and if you decide not to go it's not me leaving you it is you deciding not to go because God has first dibs on me and I said God will always be first I said because I have known too many preachers who bowed sometimes to their wife and sometimes the wife to the husband I've known women preachers did the same thing that would bow to the pressure of their spouse and would not do what they were supposed to do and many of them even laid down the ministry because their wife didn't want him in the ministry and they would lay it down and then they'd walk with her and they were miserable and because they weren't doing what God told him to do and then even after that the wife still left them now they've left God for their wife and when I say left I don't know about leaving the ministry but you're supposed to be doing for their wife then the wife leaves now they don't have the wife and they don't have God in a sense I'm sure they were still saved you understand I mean but they're not doing what God wanted to do and then that that still ended up bad but I've seen preachers that kept on and I've seen them even their wives leave and they keep on preaching and then eventually I've seen at times sometimes they never get back together but I've seen other times when the wives came around and then they end up getting some of them even get remarried the bottom line is when you stand before God you're gonna stand there by yourself you're gonna be accountable for what you do and what God called you to do and you're not going to say well my wife you're not gonna be like Adam then with that woman you gave me serve all got that ain't gonna fly right you're gonna have to answer for what you do does that make sense they said yeah see when we started these things never don't like that okay but do you understand we have to change this and I'm not saying don't be family-oriented we should be we should be I wouldn't say family-oriented we should be community oriented we should be a community we should be together we should come together we should work here - we should socialize you ought to see each other and I know many of you were visitors here but if you're in a local fellowship you want to see each other a whole lot more than Sunday or Wednesday you ought to be seeing each other during the week you want to hang out together talk together fellowship together study together that's where that closest comes that's where discipleship comes from right you cannot disciple people on Sunday morning Sunday night and Wednesday night you can't do it it's impossible discipleship has to be every day just better I'm not saying don't be family-oriented but let's get to structure you know let's get the priorities right because if the devil knows that you have any priority in front of God he'll make sure that that priority is always taking preeminence over God so there has to be a point where and this shouldn't be it where a husband just tells a wife well I'm going to switch or the wife just tells the husband it should be both are you making commitment and coming it together to say you know what we're moving forward if you fall I'm keeping on if I fall you keep on it and together to walk together stronger than one amen and once you do that it's gonna see this moment you may never want you make this type of commitment and this type of understanding you may never have to apply it or use it but the fact that it's in place protects you from the work of the enemy right one other thing here before I do send you're breaking every one of the things a lot of you quit we talked about this yesterday part of your problem is you're hanging around the world you know the struggles you have is hanging on the world and hanging on to God both the same time now you want to be hanging on to God and touching the world but not hanging on to the world amen there is something that happens when you make a commitment it's the making of the commitment that causes things to start to happen as long as you're floating around saying what if just works out we'll go here if that works out we'll do that you know if it turns out this way we'll do this okay I'm telling you nothing will work that way you'll always have problems things will always stop you but once you make the commitment the commitment there is an aspect of your faith that once you make the commitment it releases your faith and it starts things almost like a ripple effect to set things in order that starts to open doors you know but until you make that commitment the anyway Denham is going to keep everything up in front of you now I'm not saying once you make the commitment that everything is just going to be wonderful and everything's just gonna fall in place you know that's when the real warfare starts okay but the beauty of it is you're not tossed to and fro between two decisions you've already made the commitment and now you're moving forward and you know because whatever you whatever limit you set if you say well if it gets down to this then I'll quit preaching I can promise you it will get down to that because the enemy knows see it's just like this idea of telling people in other countries when we're going to pull our troops out okay military that makes no sense because all you're telling the enemy is just lay low they'll leave and then you can pop back up that's all it's doing we you can't tell the enemy what your limits are you can't tell them what your weaknesses are you have to understand you have to tell him I'm committed out victory or death that's the only two options there is no other option you understand we keep going and once you make that commitment that starts a chain of events that allows God to work in through and for you but it takes that commitment amen and wasn't you thinking about being a Christian that got you born again it was whenever you made Jesus Lord and you made the commitment amen go to break
