before it's the most fun way to travel on deep snow [Music] I've got an old pair of skis you can have wanna come with me [Laughter] [Music] this was fun George took the skiing like like a monkey to skiing think you can handle that big hill [Music] with skis on George could go anywhere there was snow or so he thought [Music] he pulls straight on like that George [Music] you got it zigzag it [Music] when you stop angle your skis like this so you don't slide back down ah yeah that's it [Music] there you go George that's the way to do it George had a great view up here he could see houses and farms [Music] and there was his house huh and then he thought he'd better head home right now because the man was making the last of the cocoa and no one can resist the drink Me Now power of Coco not even the Man with the Yellow Hat I wonder what that could be I'm gonna go take a quick look around you wait here [Applause] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] this wasn't good he was getting even further from home hey [Music] George down here I couldn't find what made that down I'm heading home now have fun at least it was all downhill from here [Music] you figured he'd be home in seconds [Applause] [Music] there had to be a way to get that ski [Music] thank you [Music] well one ski was better than none [Music] that was awesome [Music] [Music] George had toys for summer and toys for snow but there were no toys for just plain cold there weren't even Birds to watch even the dullest monkey day could be saved by a visit with bunnies [Music] the hutch was empty there must have been a big bunny Breakout [Music] what's wrong George oh are you looking for the bunnies ah don't worry I brought them in out of the cold [Music] phew I'm glad you're here we have to go to my grandmother's can you do me a favor while I'm gone George knew bill was going to ask him to take care of the bunnies something he dreamed about George would pick only videos that bunnies liked and games they could win and show them his best bunny picture books I'm taking the bunnies to stay at my grandmother's house for the rest of the winter well it's too cold out and my folks won't let me keep him in the house Grandma has a warm place they can spend the entire winter [Music] so could you do me a favor and put out some nuts and seeds for that jumpy squirrel every day oh I don't want him to go hungry if the ground gets too cold and hard and he can't find food [Music] see you later George [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] George remembered how it was not too long ago [Music] and it all fun things have to be taken away just because of some old season [Music] he wasn't going to let winter ruin his well ruin his winter [Music] this little monkey was going to prove that winter couldn't stop him from doing whatever he wanted [Music] really cold water can change a monkey's plans just like that [Music] George I'm back I bought some of that really good hot cocoa [Music] uh what are you doing soaking your feet in warm water because you gotta chill [Music] well when it's too cold to play outside it's hot cocoa to the rescue [Music] [Applause] the next day felt like the coldest day of the year don't forget your scarf but George was not about to let it stop him from having fun the way he wanted to foreign [Music] thank you [Music] George had won he was having fun like winter had never come foreign [Applause] [Music] well the Antarctic research team please report to the conference room immediately come on George duty calls [Music] here we are guys the Antarctic oh our objective is to observe and record the behavior of the Region's flightless native seabirds oh ah we're here to take pictures of penguins see the small family of chin strap Penguins well this breed gets its name from the unique marking on its head we didn't see them on our last visit and I'm worried I need you to find them in your gear bags you'll find a waterproof video camera radio mics for talking to each other over short distances check and a photo of a chin strap penguin to help you identify them any questions um yes on the left um were we chosen for this Mission because of our fine work in outer space and under the sea well not exactly my usual team is on assignment in the Sahara Desert oh but you lucky guys get to meet penguins [Music] George couldn't wait to meet a real penguin oh this is great okay I'm moving on to the nesting grounds of the emperor penguins you'll meet us at this spot at 9 00 a.m right right remember if you get lost use the Outpost Beacon to find your way back don't worry if we get lost George was so excited he forgot to call the Man with the Yellow Hat he also forgot to look where he was going [Music] camera was waterproof now George wished it would stay in one place [Music] cap and check coolant level huh oh hi George I told Luke and eight I'd tune up their summer shuttle but I can't find my pliers huh [Music] oh right now where did I put my cold drink laughs [Music] oh thanks George hey after I'm done with the shuttle we can take it for a test drive to cool off okay [Music] ice it was cold just like snow [Music] ice cubes were much bigger than snowflakes though [Music] in the ice crusher George would have something just like snow in no time [Music] foreign [Music] hey George what you doing cooling off with ice water City kids you can't build a snowman with pieces of ice George you need soft wet snow to make a snowball huh these ice chips are too hard and too thick see ah feels good well back to my paper out thanks for the ice George [Music] needed something else to make his Snowman something that would stick together [Music] George are we out of ice cubes already oh here they are you mind if I take a few careful where you step George [Music] you don't want to track mud into the summer shuttle oh mud it wasn't as cool as ice but it was easier to mold into shapes where could George get a lot of mud hahaha [Music] [Music] [Applause] this mod was just as useless as those ice chips for making snowballs oh hey George having trouble with your mud pie recipe the perfect mud pie depends on the right mix of soil and water hey [Music] that's it George George was on the verge of making the world's first muddy Snowman and nothing could stop him [Music] oh I'm sorry George when it comes to Mud they have the final say around here stay cool on Sunny snowy days [Music] go bright and early [Music] but this day he discovered that Bill had gotten up even brighter and earlier hey George [Music] snow blocks I'm building a house out of snow although the correct term is Igloo yep I'm trying to earn my Sprout badge in Winter camping and to do that I have to build an igloo and sleep in it overnight suddenly that was exactly what George wanted to do build an igloo and sleep in it just like Bill [Music] huh you want to help me and sleep in the igloo too [Music] why not let's get started [Music] hmm George that's not the proper technique guess I better show you city kids probably don't know much about non-mortar construction [Music] see the first thing you do is Mark a circle in the snow that's your foundation then you take the biggest blocks and fit them together like this Bill showed George how to build up the igloo walls block by block making sure that the top layer overlap the bottom [Music] yep and when we're all done we can just smooth out the inside [Music] as they built it up the igloo started to look like a volleyball cut in half see we keep shaping these blocks and put them all the way around until there's just a small hole left in the center [Music] and we fill that with a large block called the Keystone you have to cram it in so it'll hold the walls in place [Music] now I'll just make a few air holes and once we fill all these cracks of snow it'll stay pretty warm yep we're done let's go check it out [Music] so excited he had never been in an igloo before the inside of the igloo was smaller than George thought yeah he had wanted a funny glue one that was big enough for a bed and a tuba and his friends sort of like his room only better [Music] you want to build your own Igloo sure I wish I could help you but I gotta fill up these cracks and then do my chores [Music] so George started on his second Igloo of the day with help from The Man with the Yellow Cap but this time he built it wider [Music] and taller and brought in some furniture [Music] wow good window uh-huh are you sure you want to spend the night in here George what okey-doke I guess it's time to make the cocoa okay hey George how's it [Music] bad in here and a sofa wow the only thing is it might get cold at night the bigger the igloo the colder it gets George wasn't worried he figured he'd just wear his coat to bed George could run toy trains and count to ten how tough could this be [Music] huh could you repeat that what did he say number seven number eight anybody understand that I don't understand him but I trust him foreign [Music] for a smart monkey [Music] all he had to do was simply move the number five train first [Music] George was a great train Master the five moved into position followed by eight seven nine and six hahaha [Music] is it just mere this wasn't like his toy trains anymore George needed help Flint was right outside comparing jelly sandwiches unaware that a little monkey needed him George didn't know why that warning Bell wasn't going off [Music] sandwiches are equal the haves must be two right [Music] thanks for holding down the floor George I'll take it from here foreign [Music] that was the craziest train ride ever you want to believe it George oh [Music] George still wanted to be a station Master but only in his own home where he could eat a one-piece sandwich cutting sandwiches in half only leads to trouble [Music] George couldn't recall ever seeing the Man with the Yellow Hat looking like this [Music] he was usually calm cool and wearing a yellow hat oh here he comes hello good morning come on in ready as promised [Music] ah it was worth living without it for three long days [Music] I'd rather carry it myself George wear your hat no I want to keep it perfect till tonight we're going to the opening of the new planetarium Dome [Music] [Music] thanks let's get home before anything happens to my perfect clean hat [Music] [Applause] [Music] well we made it safely [Music] okay now George when I get back we're going right to the Planetarium so take a bath [Music] there will be photographers there I want you to look clean and fluffy George was going to take a bath just like he was told foreign [Music] [Music] it sure was a perfect hat who could resist trying it on [Music] George wanted Compass to see him in the Yellow Hat it'd only take a second hahaha [Applause] [Music] George saw the Hat fly this way but it disappeared thank you ah [Laughter] [Music] a [Music] the Hat was back home and still perfect almost George removed the piece of branches carefully as any surgeon working on any yellow hat could oh okay there was just a tiny thread there no problem maybe he needed to pull harder [Music] or maybe it had to be cut off [Music] George had forgotten that the last time he used his safety scissors was to cut his strawberry jam and banana sandwich hey [Music] it was only a small smudge all he had to do was clean it off [Music] this stiff brush got the grill sparkling like new every time and the grill got dirtier than the Hat [Music] [Laughter] [Music] he may have scrubbed too hard the apartment building where George lived was a very orderly place that's how hunly liked it they are here to clean your carpets [Music] people came and people went [Music] the elevator arrived [Music] and people came down the stairs everything in huntley's lobby was orderly and neat [Music] almost everything you can't go back into the apartment until the carpet is dry George so you stay here in the lobby while I run my errands alright okay oh oh and in case you get hungry oh I won't be long [Music] [Music] Ley didn't think George should be eating a sloppy Apple in the lobby [Music] thank you George decided it would probably be better to eat his apples someplace else Hundley had never been through this door before [Music] but he was pretty sure it was against the rules to be out here [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] didn't think George would ever get in that way oh so he'd find a better way [Music] all right move it along at least there was one thing Hundley knew for certain home was this way or maybe that way [Applause] laughs [Music] huh [Music] bro [Music] laughs [Music] foreign was getting worried he could just imagine the terrible things that that sloppy monkey was doing to his Lobby when Hundley found his building it was even worse than he imagined [Music] but then Hundley saw that it wasn't his street at all but that meant he had no idea where he was hey [Music] that's more coming stick around come on guys let's go hello [Music] there was the Rankin Silo the river brought them back home they weren't lost all they had to do was stop [Music] it was a long way to run but when they got to that Silo they knew they'd be completely lost it was the wrong silo they were now even more lost than the Lost chicks George couldn't even find the river nothing looked familiar but there was the duck Rock again a landmark George had an idea they saw the big duck Rock and what else did they pass on the river [Music] the big trees the boat [Music] and Rankin Silo the sun set Behind The Rankin silo suddenly they didn't feel so lost they ran to that rock foreign but when they got there it didn't look like the big duck Rock oh [Music] but as George walked around he discovered it was the big duck Rock [Music] the big trees thank you they had found the next landmark [Music] and there was the boat another landmark if he followed the river all the way he would find The Silo with the sun right behind it but George realized that if he took the river all the way around it would take too long he could just take a shortcut and follow the Sun [Music] this couldn't be easier it would have been easier if they could see where they were going they had to walk towards the Sun but how could they find it now hello [Music] it was that way [Music] the chicks recognize those friendly monkey feet [Music] foreign [Music] those chicks in the dark George [Music] didn't I tell you to stay at the duck pen you're a hero monkey [Music] foreign [Music] George how did you do it [Music] after a day lost in the country what could be more relaxing than going home to the city [Music] bill made it for us next weekend we take a relaxing raft trip won't that be fun oh [Music] my God [Music] [Music] [Music] water he forgot to refill it [Music] [Applause] [Music] George found out the hard way that the hose was too short [Music] maybe it didn't have to reach he could spray it from here huh George knew they were down to only a duck and a half he had to get water up that hill somehow [Music] he needed something that held water but was smaller than a pail [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] this was going to take a few trips [Music] George knew he couldn't fill the pool in time ha it was over George I got you running up and down what are you doing trying to fill a fill a cup at a time City kids there are proper ways to carry water I'll show you [Music] got there or it'll be too heavy huh well I carry one up you fill the other one halfway this is called a Bucket Brigade [Music] foreign come on up [Music] George's idea worked happy ending for ducks and duck lovers ah this is way too close to the edge I'll pull it back [Music] at that moment jumpy remembered why he always stayed in trees George is that yo my hat foreign [Music] you know there's a proper method for mop squeezing yep I know Bill George I want to remind you those ducks are here temporarily [Music] George wondered exactly how long he could make temporarily last [Music] day don't you know how they work how huh George only paid attention to the lights that told him when to walk those other lights were for drivers and he didn't drive well you're young and you are a monkey but you should try to be more curious about important things [Laughter] well it's simple green means the car should go yellow means slow down red means cars have to stop [Music] to interfere with that light while it's performing its Duty okay George I don't even know why they put a traffic light out here in the middle of nowhere seems wrong I'm fine [Music] the light was out but that wasn't so bad it wasn't even there yesterday jumpy had his Branch bridge to cross the road on [Music] then George thought of something he could do to help foreign [Music] how a traffic light worked is ready to be one [Music] with George in charge that traffic light worked better than before at least it was better for squirrels [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] George you promised to let that light perform its Duty what ah it's not performing its Duty I apologize George but get down [Music] hey that's the squirrel I always witnessed proceeding across the road on those High branches [Music] did they cut off his squirrel Crossing for that light we don't even need this light there's hardly any traffic well George squirrel chicken and chicks too I am going to see that this situation is resolved that's my job [Music] it turned out they'd put that light up on the wrong corner it was meant to go up in the middle of town went Quint and Clint Quint put up a temporary squirrel Bridge until the tree branches could grow back hahaha [Music] and George decided to look at the traffic lights back in the city maybe some of them needed a monkey [Music] being a monkey in the big city can be an exciting experience but it isn't perfect wow we could really use some fresh country air huh The Man with the Yellow Hat knows when the time's right to get his monkey out of the city [Music] take a deep breath and fill your lungs with good clean country air [Music] ah it's good to be back isn't it you can let the clean air out George there's plenty here okay [Music] well George looks like Bill built a bunny hutch in his yard [Music] wanna go see the bunnies there you go hey there got George with you how'd you know it was us well guess hey I just got bunnies wanna see George had never seen a bunny up close before [Music] bunnies George do they have names sure there's fuzzy Whitey brownie spotty black ears Cottontail and Herbert nininger and that's their mom wanna put one which one brownie Whitey [Music] fuzzy Fuzzy's cool there's some things you need to know about bunnies before you pet one oh no it's time to deliver my papers sorry [Music] come back tomorrow when you can pet them all well you're just gonna have to wait till tomorrow George [Music] oh George could barely stand it who can wait a whole day to pet bunnies [Music] be a good little monkey George thought he could keep the bunnies company while bill was away they were so still so quiet so fuzzy bunnies bunnies Bill wouldn't mind if he petted one bunny just once if he was very very careful [Music] [Music] the bunnies were so still and quiet fast but they were almost too fast to see definitely too fast to Pat and absolutely too fast to do as they were told [Music] their mom knew enough to stay in the hutch but George wasn't taking any more chances oh [Music] hahaha [Music] George decided he'd better figure out how many bunnies got loose by counting their bowls [Music] who's seven that meant he still had to catch seven George found a big flat rope a rope this big must have something very important tied to the other end [Music] Andy look at what your mascot did I'll show you a trick push that button all right yeah okay everyone time for practice [Music] this was a chance for George to see all that equipment in action [Music] so George helped test the airbag o foreign he demonstrated what a good climber he was [Music] he learned what a pike pole could do [Music] and he showed them that he remembered how to reel in a hose [Music] foreign we're not ready for a mascot [Music] oh I'm so glad you came quickly hello George what's the problem up there the pigeon flies out but then flies right back in it's like he has no sense of direction that sounded a lot like a pigeon that George knew [Music] and that sounded like a bad pigeon imitation Compass had heard before that monkey has more friends than I do he's free he's gonna fly right out the window [Music] we've got to get up to him but how our truck won't fit through the door and our ground ladder is too short rope and pulley nah it's too far from the balcony we can poke holes in the well till the pigeon drops out oh our poor whale [Music] [Music] [Music] Compass was very happy to see a familiar whatever George was look George is bringing him out George knew Compass well enough by now so he pointed the pigeon directly at the far wall Compass understood and flew the best he could for the far wall and of course missed completely [Applause] [Music] hey George we're ready for you [Music] guess it's time to take George home and find that dog's owner [Music] I can tell you where Sharky lives George I'm afraid he can't be our mascot because for meritorious service performing free in a pigeon from inside a whale I hereby name you unofficial rescue monkey of squad 86. Rescue Squad 86 has a lot of great equipment but sometimes the right tool for the job is a monkey [Music]
