Creating Self Portraits in Midjourney

[Music] hello everyone and welcome to the mour experience so today I'm actually going to be showing you how to create self-portraits using mid Journey so to start let's go ahead and upload a selfie photo of yours to this Discord just right here and then once it's uploaded I just click on the picture and then right click and click on copy link address then you go ahead and start doing your prompts so slash imagine and then you just paste the link of the photo and then you add your prompts after so today I'm actually in the mood of becoming a warrior so let's add here these promps silver [Music] armor cuz who doesn't like being a hero right so let's just wait that up to load up just a little bit more here you go so let's take a look at them so we can actually see here some artifacting where you see my eyeglasses are not actually showing I don't know who this person is but kind of captures my features so I like the third image so we're going to be upscaling that one and let's take a look nice so let's admire this photo and let's do another one this time I actually want to modify some parameters for the image and this time I want to use image weight so so image weight actually affects which part of the prompt mid journey is going to emphasize more so it rages from 0 to two the higher the number the more it will reference your reference photo and the lower the number the more it will reference The Prompt so I want a perfect balance of the prompt and the image so let's go with 1.5 this time I want to be a lady in address riding a horse in cinematic lighting cuz it's not every day we get to ride a horse the thing about AI here is that there's actually still a lot of growth that's coming in so the more that we practice it the more better results we get so here we go I'm not I'm not pretty sure about this batch I feel like the horse is still is too up my stomach but I do like this how the second photo is looking so let's use V2 so that it shows more variations of the second photo right let's see I like how the second photo looks like so let's upscale that one and let's admire that okay I like the lighting I like that it kept the glasses let's try another one this time with style raw so raw actually makes sure that your image is faithful to the style that you are referencing in your prompt so this time I want an oil painting of myself I want to I don't know maybe look like Mona Lisa I just want a painting of myself and I can paint but I can't paint myself let's see here let's just let that load up and here we are let's see I like the fourth photo it is showing oil painting so let's upscale this one and let's admire it you go you can see The Strokes of the brush and keeping the features in and the next one is we are going to be using the weirdness levels and Bown to you guys my journey actually does have weirdness features so you just use the prompt Das D weird plus a unit this time let's use 2,000 and see how crazy or how weird it's going to get so what's a weird robot going to look like so let's just see so the higher the number of the weirdness level the crazier the image is going to get so I can't wait to see what is what this one gives me and boom here they are let's check it out now we have some painting es style some digital art style but I am seeing one someone here caught my eye the fourth image it's giving surreal it's giving futuristic and it's giving Indie I like it next one so my last tip for you guys is actually the a feature that has been in mid Journey for some time now which is the upscaling so what it does is it it upscales your image or your photo to the highest possible resolution from mid Journey so there are two modes which is upscale subtle and upscale creative so I have put in here a prompt of my image plus looking at the distance Sunkissed cinematic and let's change up the aspect ratio a little bit and let's use 16 by 99 so here's our photos I'm liking the third one so let's use this one let's upscale it the normal way first and just click on u3 and here's our normal upscaled photo and let's start with upscale subtle so let's see what we're going to do here is let's compare what the output between upscale subtle and upscale creative is going to be so let's just wait up a little bit and a little bit of a note for you guys it is normal for upscale subtle or upscale creative to take a little bit longer to load since we're dealing with higher resolutions so upscale subtle is done loading and let's check here so it actually is very subtle guys like it doesn't really do much like we still have the moles and everything compared to the original photo and here upscale creative finished looing let's check it out so as you can see here it actually cleaned up the photo more if you remember those moles those random dots in the photo you can't find it here anymore so it does not change a photo but it cleans it up or does little modifications to it all right so these are the tips that I've been wanting to show you guys about using your selfie or creating a selfportrait using mid journey and I hope that you've learned something and you can try using this for you too so I'm just
