[Applause] how we good hi hey whoo boy ones - Moses was good everyone me you boy blunts out here at gdq with my homeboys introduce yourselves I'm Rico KSP and I'm white paws yeah they're both legends several different crash bandicoot games I also run the one that you're about to see I run over I don't know why I'm here all right yes this is Crash Bandicoot insane trilogy we're gonna be doing crash - 100 % really cool category so I'm gonna count it down for you guys you ready for me three two one go all right so for this category we're gonna be getting basically everything's that means 25 crystals 42 gems five secret exits and beating the last boss dr. neocortex so first gets really hard get out of this tutorial section it's really difficult you got like you got to pause the game and then just hit quit and it takes you to the wharf you skip the intro entirely it's super hard it's very difficult yes we're gonna be starting off with crash - which is uh one of my favorite levels everyone knows I love to be in that level - marriage dream and so this is a boulder chase level and in each level there's a boxed M you can get by breaking every single box in the level some levels will have another gem we'll get that one when we come to it and so the mains vtec we're doing in this game is called Hobbes fighting maybe my associate can explain what I'm trying to do here alright so if you notice right now the main movement at once is doing is gliding and spinning in basic scenarios this is the fastest movement but you'll notice that right there he got a really huge speed boost while doing the sly spin so basically if you do a sly spin and you touch the ground before the fly spin animation finishes the game never registers that you've landed so you maintain your falling speed and you can keep this going as long as you can maintain a consistent chain of slide spins it's got a fair bit of precision to it but there are a lot of places where you can do it you can do it off of any elevated surfaces any Hills or if there's a type of scenery or a ceiling that will bonk you back under the ground so right there once backed up onto the hill and then turn around during the off this flight spinning they got the hot slide going hey so those words PMT's they are explosive crates where normally you're supposed to balance on them to start down a timer if you spin them or slide into him they'll explode but in that case he was able to get out of the radius of the TNT and time to avoid being hit you can actually like break those bottles of Christ by sliding or spin yeah if there's a if there's a stack of crates you can usually spin on the ones on top and then crash will just land on the ones below them normally and you can slide them and save climb over bouncing on them yeah I sure am sure whatever right so you got a hub slide there off of the the tunnel entrance the key to this game and saving a lot of time is knowing where you can hobs like knowing where you can get a backup if one messes up and basically just knowing where you can get them and applying it right so generally I'm just gonna be trying to slide spin as often as possible and try to get any hobb slides basically whatever I can so like refills that could get it off of Hills scenery sometimes even bonking my head and up in this next level turtle woods there is a bonus gem we can get which is actually the blue gem and the way we get that one is by breaking zero boxes completely avoiding every box going all the way to the end of the level so if you guys could describe the kind of hog size I'm going for here try not to break a box yeah so basically using one of those elevated totems or whatever is one way to get a hog slide going up these hills is another one he's gonna be as a lot of the scenery here the scenery has like little small bits that you can stand on and you can use those to get a hog slide started you can actually slide spin through this mud as long as you keep the flies been chained going normally have to wade through it or jump through it but as long as you never dropped your slide spin and you start another one immediately you can go through that mud and not go down yeah so these holes normally you're supposed to fall into them and then there's a bunch of rat or something that you're supposed to kill and then you chose off so here once grabs the blue gem in the death abuse this is actually faster than grabbing the blue gem and then exiting the lemon tree entering it it's better to just give up the life death abuse and go back to the beginning of the level so now he's gonna go through the entire level and actually break every box and this will get the so you'll notice that sometimes when once does a fly jump he'll also spin this is called a glitch high jump and it actually gives you more height during the slide jump so you can actually make some jumps that are not necessarily supposed to be possible the name is a little misleading because it's a name that was grandfathered in from the original crash games where in the original game is the glitch high jump was actually a glitch where you weren't supposed to be able to get that height and it made a lot of unintended John's possible Vicarious Visions the developers of the insane trilogy actually intentionally put it back in for people to use in speedruns so it's really nice that they did that because there's a lot of really cool tricks that you'll see later in the run that are possible for sure so very useful yeah obviously like one of those instances is like getting across the pits yeah yeah the huge pits with the rat things and yeah you can just if you time your slide and your jump correctly seems like which I don't get over them you can use it and reach that crate where normally you would have to use it only if you fold you can also it saves a lot of time because it does take a while and then he's gonna use the one thing I note is that whenever a gem or any item really spawns you have to actually wait about like half a second to a second for you to be actually be able to pick it up so what once is doing is that he's maintaining the Haab slide chain but he's actually going neutral and direction right in front of it and this keeps the chain going but he stops momentarily and that lets him pick up the gem and then continue with the hog slide speed alright so he doesn't have to drop it when uh when trying to get the gem when our thing is like blonds kept two masks out of total boots so now we're gonna see the first thing sense of invisibility in the next level alright so each mask is like a protective thing for you but when you get three of them sends you a triple mask form which we'll see shortly and yeah so you cannot touch the nitro boxes just to note yeah the green nitros if you touch them in any way they automatically doesn't mate so this is invincibility obviously like anything once does will not harm him aside from falling into a hole in it it will break any crate automatically so invincibility actually increases presses based running speed but it doesn't alter his slide spin speed and slide spinning is still just a little bit faster than running normally even with invincibility so the key with invincibility is that it's not always useful to grab it because sometimes just the animation of picking it up it makes it slower but in a case where you want to like break things really quickly or knock out a lot of enemies that are in the way it is very useful yes so we will see a fair number of times throughout the run yeah all the I's basics first we'll talk about the gem better than asked so you might notice that there was like this huge gap and this feeling was like what was there that's where the red gem is in the original crash - it was low enough that you could actually see it get it you could actually get it exactly moved it up so we will have to come back later to get it and so the ice physics I think this game is really weird where if you slide on the ice and then you go neutral you will actually maintain a lot of your slide momentum and then you can just chain these slides indefinitely and that's the fastest movement and if you jump off of the ice you can you go neutral you can actually maintain your momentum through the jump so a lot of really far jumps from like you know it's doing a slide jump or a glitch high jump off of the ice will let you traverse a lot of distance in one leap yeah they're selling off the information right at the beginning yeah so once once again less snow go with two masks this will be really important the next level he's going to which is the pit right there are these birds and all throughout the pit you saw a couple of them also in the speaker path of turtle boards you cannot spin these birds you can jump on them but spinning them will cause you to take damage what the invincibility here does is that you can touch the birds even when spinning and you'll knock them out anyway and this lets you maintain hog flies for longer because otherwise you would have to drop them and all spots early on here so this first mask let me hop and you can use this to just go through this bird and also knocks out those crates in the heroes depart of Hobbes flight here and then normally he would have to stop it there because of the bird but he was able to keep it going because of that again there's gonna be some more scene or abuse gonna get more hops I was going there was another mask there but unfortunately if you have an invincibility it doesn't stack pops right there so this is the first of many forked path from the game there's going to be things you have to collect on both sides but in this one in particular the right path has two crates at the beginning a huge amount of just like empty space and then nothing else until the end so he's actually gonna start with the beginning go through the left path which has two crystal a bunch of boxes and then he's gonna backtrack here there was also a nice knife on that bird that he knocked it into a crate which was tainted a little bit of time of having to break it himself he has to roll all the way back to break this he goes back to this high point that is the last thing backtracking into the right path from here he just keeps going forward and then yeah that's the to forecast for the level joins back together right here and then more pits hi-yah these ones are at a weird angle where it's easier to like slide into them and jump out so there's actually a lot of cool things going on this bonus the first thing is that he's gonna damage abuse on the canteen here just the same time and then you'll notice he landed and then the actual managed to slide twice in a row that's a double slide and basically the way it works is that if you land and slide on this the same frame you can actually fly it immediately out of that slide and it makes going through these portions a lot easier because the only get have to crawl through them and it's really it's terribly slow so the double slide is useful in any of these because it just lets you blaze through that and then yeah he just broke the balance equates with like a glitch high coming to not back and then the other thing is that those purple crates those are iron crates you have to break those with a body slam but if there are iron crates on top of normal crates you can actually slide under them and then the iron crates land on crash public break automatically which is also a time save because body-slamming does take a fair bit of time for the entire animation to go through yeah for sure right up next we got hang gate which is the first water themed level in the run yeah I didn't know that surfing music going on and it also has what is known as a timer gem this is the first out of two levels that will see this kind of thing so there's gonna be a timer there's gonna spawn once we hit the first checkpoint and so we're gonna get like all the boxes until a certain checkpoint and then we're just gonna run until the end of level to get the timer again as long as you reach the end of the level before the timer runs out you will be rewarded at the time we're done however after activating the timer if once at any point loses a wife and has to respond then the timer gem goes away and about to restart the level all right so I'm gonna get every box here right up until it's gonna get it is checkpoint and then just gone all the way to the end of the level because he's gonna have to come back for this bonus round anyway so it's better to grab the timer Jim death abuse back to that checkpoint in the infinite level here's this thicket are a while he's going through this portion it's probably important to know we are playing on the PC version of insane trilogy the PC version is the fastest version of the game for a lot of reasons most of it has to do with the fact that it actually runs at 60 frames per second as opposed to 30 on the console versions and this makes a lot of things for one crash moves just a little bit faster which adds up over the course of the run a lot of tricks are easier because of the 60 FPS most notably the Hogs club the Haab slide was known for being very difficult to execute on cost of what on PC it's a lot easier and they're a lot more that are possible and all this just adds up over the course of the run so just make the PC version by far the fastest version of the game it's still possible to run on you know ps4 Xbox or switch and it's just it's more difficult and optimally it will lose time yeah here's the first instance sofa alcohol or Jam I have so do have to enter this level after getting the blue gem in turtle waterways that platform want to be there there are five color gems in the game and each of them has a plan that is only unlocked by collecting that job so a lot of the level order in the game has to do with not only like what levels of optimally use the mask but also color gem order so a lot of levels you'll enter after collecting a collared gem another level so here once it's actually gonna go neutral to get all these ramps in one go shoutouts the DEF CON for that strut thank you Doug Hagen I believe that was founded recently yeah very recently like a month or so ago very nice blue gem platform yeah yep from here we finish out the Mars sees it may you our cz with a $100 donation no message alright so coming up is the first boss played ripperoo he had best one is one of the hardest boss fights I've ever seen in video gaming ever in reality he's really easy there's there's nothing to this fight there's no speeding it up it's an autoscroller he does the exact same pattern every time and you have to wait for him to be vulnerable so this is the perfect moment to fire off every single donation you got cuz this is like the one major break of the run alright well we got a bunch that have come in so we'll get to it we have a $10 very close to me involved I got time for a few more we can do one more one more all right so we have a fifty dollar donation from wind chaser 316 had to donate for this run crash 2 is my favorite in the trilogy can't wait to see it get crushed good luck yeah by the way crash 2 is not really known for clearly sweaty yeah now we move on to warp to the icy theme warp only the war from the lonely war only fruit there's like but I yeah there's Paul our crash cross this is the second Boulder chase level in the game yep there's a good number of hop slides you can do also a scenery that they're also like not readily apparent so but overall I'd say it's a fairly straightforward level the key with these chase levels also is mostly just memorization at any moment once knows what is coming up and his Bane is just maintaining his rhythm and knowing when to jump when the spin want to dodge he went for a hog slide off of the like very tip of that hill that was really tricky it again now here's another four paths this one's a little odd where when you get to the end there's actually nothing it's just like a platform and it just takes you back to the start it's really the only more fat that's like that a lot of this is 3/4 yeah running away from the boulder just avoiding the mines they don't kill ya the mine zone for you but they do slow you down and they do threaten you with the plant folia that Boulder also breaks it boxes yeah are you yeah so one really nice thing for the insane trilogy compared to the originals is that in the originals anything that was off screen was treated as it didn't exist but the ends ain't rosy loads the entire level at once so anything off-screen will still get broken if it would get broken by say the boulder or even a nitro there'll be a lot of nitro later were there nitro detonators that will blow up every single one in the level and in the unsane trilogy it actually blows up crater adjacent or within the range of those nitros and that will be useful for saving a lot of time anything that toggles laughs to break myself please be that Boulder broke that phrase even though wants me keep going one other thing to note is that sometimes if one's can't fit a hog slide or a slide spinning he'll just jump really quickly and then continue moving so on the PC version of insane trilogy jumping is actually faster than running by a little bit it has to do with like the speed of crashing jumping and falling arc it doesn't come with too much just because slide spinning and hob signing is we're all more useful but in this few instances where it wouldn't be beneficial to do it because it is kind of a set distance for a sly spin so you do have to commit to it just that jump in place just saves a little bit of time over running right just those minor optimizations that really add up over the run over the course for sure so up next we got parrot featuring our friendly little polar bear named polar which is a very creative name basically all you do in this level is boost and jump but the boost has our cooldown so we kind of chain it into the jump to manage that so basically when you land for the jump to cool down essentially a race yeah just gets the lead so it's better to just boost and it's some time before the boost ends just jump and then you'll be able to boost again immediately there's almost kind of interest in that originally the crate on the ps1 version of the game were very good stars rate just because of the way polar moved it's a lot easier in this version the crates are a little closer together and pull over all just weaves left and right better so lovely this is a pretty straightforward level and nothing catastrophic will happen yeah that would never happen nothing will this last section in particular was pretty infamous for being very difficult to break all three crates but it's pretty trivial and I was unable to move there yeah once was just like sitting there letting press we won't take a stretch or something but it's actually he couldn't move until crash actually turned around that is the entire length of that animation I think it's only in Barrett where it's that long yeah there are two other bear levels and neither of them have an animation that long but for some reason Barrett does so yeah now we have air crash there Christian this is the only level in the game where we are not going to get the Box Jim on the first pass of it great there's simply too many things in this level that you actually cannot collect it on the first pass though we'll be coming back to it later but there is other things I'll be going on yeah this is the first instance of a death route right so what happens with the throat is that it's a platform that it's there if you don't die before a checkpoint or even yeah after after granite checkpoints are getting the checkpoint and if we're getting the death getting to the platform yeah exactly so it's like if he were to at this point that is what one axis so it's very pivotal that he does not die from this point on and told stepping on the death or once he steps onto it it's his for as long as yeah he's in the lab there's such a I'm at the ending this oh yeah oh did you forget that he's uh he's living life on the edge all right yes right there so there's a I'm at the end of this it's supposed to be a lot more difficult than the regular level suppose yeah the glitch high jumps are super nice here I I am certain that on the console version of the that makes all things like that that just like the PC version just make possible just because with a framerate you know it's really weird that the framerate just has that much of an impact on the game alright now heed this I've used this back to this checkpoint and then that's a berry what like what is the platform Oh what why is that where do I go did you just work yeah this is the first of five secret exits in this game that we hinted at before and each of these secret exits is associated with those secret entrance to another level in this case that'll unlock an alternate path into snowgo which was level 2 you this is where we get the red ribbon there's actually a really cool path it is entirely ice so there's a lot of cool movement you're gonna see here shadows the ice physics ice physics are the best we love how broken they are there's a lot of mutual fighting here and then jumping this one section that's no he avoided that penguin because it's very important to get invincibility here shoutout to Roche with the rogue slam Thank You rose yeah he is a reason why so he's fun on those Aero crates bouncing is actually slower than jumping it actually does flow Democrats uh air speed a lot oh oh well we just really like this path yeah we want to see it again yeah well thankfully you can't get in details here yeah though there are conveniently three masts along this entire path and the invincible is really useful because there are a lot of night rows and a lot of penguins at the end of this at the end of this path and did the invisibly just like you crowd through all of them also that second mask you're supposed to break the exclamation box to trigger the outline crate and then go back and grab them as well as the glitch high jump in a body slam you can just reach it without actually have to finish this so the bridge I'm actually like counts yeah kind of just like pulse on exhale yeah yeah I got that back fine for Rico by the way not not a single practice run one where you got that but what if you die you'll have to go all the way back to that ice pack which is really cool so I guess it would be nice to see you you only knows how mean another mean yeah yeah there's a lot of time to like you know hit that check when it's new you know like half a second oh yeah so we exit this level with two masks which is really convenient for the next level or we're gonna make good use of the triple mask form as soon as we come across the first nice box in it yes so the next level is no bins and it is the level with the red gem path and there's actually a lot of really cool platforming and optimization of you know breaking crate that goes on definitely one of the coolest parties for sure one of my Dehaene stairs on look on your path by earning the red and elsewhere oh dude what a confidence once just got that that's so lucky man I'm sorry for like who entered this so interesting thing with those penguins is that while they're spinning they're actually involve all to any type of balance and like fitting directly at the morals of harm you so these I think they're porcupines some people call them hedgehogs when their quills are up they're actually completely invincible you cannot our thumb unless you are also invincible so that's the key with this invincibility is that at the start of this Red John pass not only is ones gonna break all the crates along the way but he's also ideally gonna get enough Hobbes slides to catch the cycle or coupons at the end and go through them without having to worry about them there's not really we're books information like yeah coming up coming up right here that so nitros bound and for some reason Indians named Phil G they have the potential to bounce really really high and we call this nitro RNG where sometimes they bounced so high that the they just hit you in an instance where otherwise you would be fine and there really isn't anything you can do about it please don't that unfortunately just happens right there and yeah unfortunately both maths got lost in there so it's really important that once does not die before the next check one because that is a huge time loss as cool of a level as this is no busy is a very variable level it is very easy to lose a lot of time over really reminders of his period Eisler yeah it really does yeah it's a good PB every single one of my peepees dies here I'm pretty sure the same actually you know G at least it's pretty hard so this bonus round I hate this unfortunately like you would optimally come here with a mask because you're that much man but well it's not like a huge deal no it's not yeah we would usually just damage I mean should be three seconds according to Adam yeah yeah that's accurate yeah that is how Alzheimer's go the real unfortunate thing is that he's only gonna be able to leave this level with one mass which was unfortunately because in the next level having a mask at the very big ever having an invincibility at the very beginning would be very yeah well and unfortunately because of that nitro cycles at the end though yeah not a huge deal but it's just a lot of yeah we can still get most of the hops loads there's a lot of hazards in the way exactly yeah that's one of the key uses of a lot of invincibility ziz getting a lot of hob slides going longer in a situation where you wouldn't be able to just cuz there's too many enemies in the way so the last level of this workroom is the eel deal oh hi Koko so in the enzyme trilogy you can actually play as Koko in all three games she's not actually faster because you have to pick her up and add her to your party and there are also select levels and a lot of them in crass to where you actually cannot play as where you can't use her in any boss fights or anything that requires crash riding of vehicles to like the polar bear so overall it is much much slower to grab her especially because in terms of Moomin species actually identical to crash there hitboxes are a little different but that doesn't come up in any point where she's extremely useful you know it's all he just obviously broke the game right there yeah like obviously all of this is actually just fake like not supposed to be yeah so that's actually is that that wall is legitimately not solid yeah it hides the green gem and then when he gets to the end it's actually a dead end so he just death abuse back to those seven very cryptic secrets for like no reason yeah the hint is that like why would there be all those nitros over there for any reason if it was just a dead end and that look you have it the hints for the color gem in this game forced you to really like think outside the box uh-huh got him good owned so this bonus from a lot of the bonus rooms in this game have invisible walls and you can do something with like one stood there where he slid into the invisible wall that let him break the crates a lot quicker yeah really small that was another instance of I thought the body slam hit boxes are great not actually that it's pretty faithful sometimes you break three and then other times you break too all right go so there are hang rails in the last sections level they are unfortunately pretty well there isn't too much we can do here there is like a damage abuse how can do on red-hot pipes but there's one enemy cycle at the very end here you can skip but it's very risky so it's better to do it with mass yeah if you done it without a mask and then died it is like a 15 second time loss worse if you had the weight on it without a mask it's like maybe 5 seconds so it's definitely better to just wait it out yeah so coming up next is the best boss Komodo pose it's actually one of the better bosses in the game yeah it's there's a lot more to it than Ripper Roo for sure and the special thing about this portal and actually every boss portal if you go into it's completely the game just blocks you out from entering and actually actually wait a brief moment before if it locks you out the only way you can fix it is by entering another level or by reloading the same file so it is actually a lot of time loss that is one that was found really early on in the games released by me and like the first week and it just never got fixed it's something they keep in mind if you run this game is that if you get just you have to wait out every boss door except for Ripper is because Ripper ooze because there's no cutscene before it something that just never happened it just wants before you can reach up so the key of this boss fight is that the little guy is gonna be spinning around and when he's thought spinning you have to hit him into the big guy and hitting him at an angle where okay that was like that one yeah so the key is hitting him in an angle where he will hit the guy in the center as quickly as possible also avoiding these swords as long as they are there even if they're in the ground they will you so the key is just staying away from them and he starts throwing them in this section but overall it's running away and then apparently a post but most of the boss fights in this game with this near is actually like with one except in all of yeah wave on except all the boss fights in this game are very very straightforward actually know the Ennis team series actually has like some cool things in boss fights yeah yeah yeah I just want to take that back Thanks this is road to ruin there is a lot of really cool things going on in this hole there is no less than three jumps that let you skip a huge portion of the level so the first one is actually coming up right now at the very beginning of the level it really cool skip here yeah so if you you see there's that section off to the left you're not supposed to be able to reach that right now but if you use the scenery right here and do a very well angled glitch high jump you can actually jump back here it's not even the hard part yeah the diagonal jump back like right here that's the hard part I'm not even getting that like that's what everyone it's a little difficult because if you turn in the air you actually slow down your movement a lot so you have to maintain a straight line but he got 32 boxes there that oh well I guess we get to see it again yeah it was all we had to see it I love this yeah the 32 boxes back there you're supposed to enter a road to ruin from a secret entrance absolute yeah that was a little awkward setup with the cycle there the cycles in this game most of them spawn either they start either when you enter the level I told you that one's the heart of heart yeah that is the harder part it really is though it really is like it looks so easy but it's it's really difficult just diagonal jumping back there this is the this is the unfortunate part about this Trump is that as easy as it is it's very easy to just yeah but there's just no ball if you mess them up it just goes like this yeah yeah it's a beautiful importantly it is really cool it is one of the cooler again yeah but the thirty two boxes back there there's a secret entrance that takes you to an alternate part of road to ruin and that's you that's where you're supposed to get those crates you're supposed to come visit the level again and then break those and then get the Box down but with this if you can just get that visit entirely which stays like huge amount of time over the hopefully we won't die this time was it was first primer yeah yeah actually yeah you're right definitely first row first row that was the that was the first of many yep there's another one coming up so this is the death Road we don't need that it's like that brother lame yeah who needs that anyway so what we're gonna do is like there's that gem that you can see right there on the left side we can actually like have you seen area as well yeah it actually wraps entire like it's like a huge like where that's actually I take very long yeah just doing that just lets you skip all of it those were actually both found really early on like I think it was like within the first yeah it was like between they were found by a mini ravine and to them for finding those gifts because in the original crash to the this was also a very skip heavy level you know one of the fears is like oh we might not be able to do those but they were just found really quickly and that we're like immediately incorporated into the rocks in the original or like I love horses right yes a lot more straightforward and a lot easier but like just by abusing scenery we were able to find them in this we also have to get through most of them yeah that bonus the way they're supposed to work is that there's like an outline crate which breaks an outline crate which breaks an outline crate which it's a huge chain until you get that bridge but with a glitch high jump you can just jump over it entirely yeah it's super nice it saves a lot of time for that bonus round is really long otherwise exclude that gem for some reason is like way higher up on the platform than any other one is when I was like why is it like that yeah that was road to ruin it's not I don't say it's a difficult level but it's really easy to lose a lot of time in it just because of how much is going on in it ethical skipper yeah it is really cool so up next we got unbearable which is another chase lovely but it's little getting chased by Boulder we're actually getting chased by a giant bear giant polar bear possibly Polar's mother unconfirmed Polar's family is mad that you're befriending him yes so we got to take to masters level yeah yeah this is very useful for a letter parlor level exactly a ha you can do off of that opening platform but because of the risk of falling into a hole even like coming up so he's actually going all the way to get this nitro down there and going back because if he actually death abuses at that checkpoint the bear will actually never break the bridge and he can to access the secret entrance that is just convenient here so it's actually better to while waiting for the bear go get that nitro down there because there's actually a good number of nitros in here and just clear it out which makes the entire path a lot easier and like if he didn't then he would just be waiting for the bear anyway there we go so the the reason that invincibility was so important is that he it was allowed him to land on that checkpoint without bouncing on it and that gave them the height he needed to do a glitch high jump to get the to get over that three stack of metal frame a slightly faster so uh that damage he did on the turtle that was actually intentional because he didn't want that invincibility at the end because there are three crates in the secret section and it just it doesn't it's not beneficial to get invincibility there so it's better to just not get it at all this blows grounds pretty straight yeah and you're just a glitch high jump third I guess I get up there the the way you're supposed to do is like old you go go down the bottom jump back up the top but that's super slow he's super soft just jump over it this next section is pretty straightforward but the end of the level has something really cool yeah just mainly slide spinning getting a hop slide where you can it was a very nice thing right there it's good so this black and you are on a bear chased by a bear one thing to be careful is that since he actually broke the checkpoint before that last crate and the chase section was broken if he dies it actually will still be there and he won't be able to get it but it looks like that's not a mission so good so there in June in love with like polar ice is actually one the coolest bubbles and let's go back and look at it yeah okay let's go dude it's very convenient to make that job oh look it's polar Oh what do they came to us baller he won't want fuss Oh took crash three boulders magical oh dear we're gonna cross right now we're actually going back to we're going back to the we're going back to the sex warp room that was another secret accident and this one actually unlocks a completely new level there are two two of the five secret exits unlock a completely new level and this is the first one this is totally bare it is a nighttime bear level and the two secret levels like this they do not have crystals they only have a gem and because of that when you enter the level you'll notice there's this yellow clock on the left side I don't think you should pick it up no no so one thing they did with the insane trilogy is that there were time trials in crash 3 and the N same fills you version of crash 1 and 2 actually has them added into the game and normally a time trials unlocked after you finish the level and you know unlocked its crystal this level doesn't have a crystal so the time trials are locked by just Falls but the relics that you get rewarded for completing the time trials they are in the game but they actually aren't a part of this category the max completion for crash 2 and same trilogy is actually a 102 percent so the extra 2 percent is actually a completely separate category that gets those relics it is about 45 minutes longer because of that so this is actually entirely stop where you where you get the crystals and the gems and the secret exits you don't get the relics and it's essentially the goal of this category is to unlock the secret ending yep also shadows can be getting the second set of four boxes first try yeah there are cases of boxes actually really precise to get or if you are a little too late you'll fall into the water if you're a little too early you'll jump over like reminders that says it's free cam says everything is free how many see wrong yeah we're gonna go back up to warp three on our trusty Reese's Peanut Butter Cup yeah yes so it makes this plant food I love this one yeah this is the other level that has another timer Jana the yellow gem is the timer Jim it's their reward yeah you actually have to enter these before so we're right off at the very beginning of this level there's going to be a glitch high jump that once was going to go for I am notorious for the offal is a 99% chance that I will always die at the beginning at this level there's a lot of like really tricky jumps you have to do just to skip all of these cycles with the moving platforms stop racing yeah I used to think this was the hardest level in the game this level is really hard that seems very hard it's a pretty difficult level it's also a very unforgiving to mess up yeah cuz again with the timer Jim if you die at any point after breaking the checkpoint the timer comes going you have to reenter their level so after that checkpoint once is going to once again just leave everything behind and just like run to the land of the level as fast as possible because that's where Graeme the timer's enemies once again to go to death abuse at the end and take us back to that check one and then clear out the level from there those two plants are actually really difficult to weave through if your positioning is not like exact one of them will hit you so it's like very vital to carry master here and that those two sets of plants actually impossible to get through yeah so you have to have at least one mask it's very safe to have two and he's just gonna grab this yellow gem and the death news I have a little take us back to the first second one rather here we'll finish all the wall trigger those T's and ghostess bonus try to slide under this first to the bosses leave it work for us some cool strats annoying thing with this most more sometimes like the scenery tucked out just a little bit that you can get Condor and crabs will just fall to his death yeah but everything worked out well there so pretty straightforward shot aside from one thing coming up with assuming we can keep this mask yes but we're gonna try to wait who's making these new plans all right there we go if the second plant just like kind of stares at you blankly then you're probably okay when he like launches back you're probably just like that - that box yeah when you damage abuse over of that plant it actually propels crash in the air where he can jump over and hit those boxes without having to go all the way over to break down the Honda the main pad that's super nice I'll save set these a little time too gems are also important but yeah yeah those how yeah I think you cannot miss those now most levels I would say we love it so much that we would want to see it again I don't want to see food again so up next we got sooner or later which is everyone's favorite level oh it's really really cool there's a really cool level it's also a very hard level yep this is a level where math and Hobbes flights are going to be your best friend [Music] so pretty early on into the level there's going to be this scientist hanging on the ceiling who has a flamethrower notoriously in the original crest who these flamethrower hip boxes were very obnoxious and there was like it was very difficult to get past them there are a lot more generous than this game so if you have a hob slide you can just tear right through it even like a regular slice but if you wait it out a little bit it's pretty easy to just fly it over or over so here he's gonna get this checkpoint uh-huh okay you want to not get that yeah points respawn but it's not the problem this is one of the first things this is where like that Jamie's like in the middle of the path yeah that was the yellow jump path there's nothing in this path yeah the clear gem in it so just grab that level if you fit but y'all supposed to take and you miss out on all this another thing that we didn't mention is that so when once respawned he actually landed on the yellow jump hat but it didn't take him down there's actually a bit of a timing window where you have to stand on it for a little bit before the path actually takes you down but if you land on a bonus platform or a gem platform and then immediately like shift yourself in any direction it'll meet it will automatically trigger the moving of the platform so it's just a little bit of time just like land on a platform that's like shipped yourself a little bit also it's ideal to land as close to the center of the Botes platform as possible because craft does a full animation where he hops into the center and repositioned himself and it takes a little bit of time also those like fans capes right there I guess what bit they intended where what you were supposed to do was like it's night the enemy into the final place three times yeah you had to wait for the enemy to respawn but it's like that actually takes for it takes forever and you can just get you can jump through it if there's only two fan blades so he usually invincibility to go back and break those iron crates it's it's better than body sending them there because he wanted to get a hog hog going and also because bodies it takes forever actually getting here this cream until now has pretty near a lot of it later on in the I'm ready and there's one more level in this warp room yes this is the last we're gonna be seeing a polar know [Music] can we get 250 bikes more partial to 32 the crystals 36 likes neat little hop slide at the beginning off of the tunnel that you can do to just save a little bit of time descending down because there's like two lifts at the beginning of the level for some reason not entirely sure why again a lot of just boosting and jumping to get through the levels quickly as the way things are aligned in this hole it actually is a little tricky to weave through everything so this cycle right here never lines up properly but if you hug the left side of that wall you can jump around these two guys holding philosophize yeah like if you go too fast if you go too fast like more rapid on you like as you go under it yes uh normally you're supposed to like each one has a specific one you can either go under it or go above it but that one you can just like go right past it well no you guys flow down a little bit just that I get these crates if you miss a crate in a bear level you have to have it there's no way a black truck and polar endlessly moves forward so Rico are you aren't using those platforms what blunts why don't you go check them out we actually owe Wow that one's pretty obvious yeah it's playing casually that's probably the first secret exit you'll find because it's like what would those be there for yeah something there this unlocks the secret entrance to air crash which is the level we didn't get the box to come in we're not gonna they're just gonna lay it it's better to do it later because you can take two masks out of it and that's very important for a later part of the run if you were to get masks right now he would lose them automatically because of what we're about to enter an extra those masks were very useful laid in the wrong next time and we're gonna be visiting the sick war room two more times though yeah right yeah and up next we got the best boss yeah this is my favorite boss fight everybody loves this this is tiny tiny tiger so this is basically just like my favorite arcade game of all time Qbert shouts the key route the way this fight works is that there are these green platforms tiny we'll follow you ideally and chased you down and when the platform's turn red you have to trick him onto them nice ideally ideally huh so there is a bit of RNG at this point the way the platform's fall is there are set patterns but which one happens is random sometimes it really feels like the way tiny moves is random Oh but generally the key is to just trick him into falling down this is actually this boss fight is one of the rare instances where the PC version running at 60 FPS is actually a detriment because there is a trick if you lower this to 30 FPS or if you run on the console version you can actually force tiny to fall immediately if you time things properly and react accordingly to what the formation is showing us the depth also finding that it was legit was a way to like eliminate a lot of the randomness to this fight but unfortunately with 60fps it doesn't actually work because tiny moves just a little bit faster and it's definitely not worth changing it's not worth changing for that little bit of times yeah when you can also just react to whatever happens anyway yeah that was tiny and Ira told you guys how much I love bees you may happen it once or twice I am so terrified of these level has always like made me really anxious I've been stung by bees and I it's not fun it's I've never been stung and I'd like to keep it that way also the reason is what are you so there's this red dirt here if you do a normal spin on this dirt you can actually dig into it and the the thing with this level is that the bees are supposed to move fast enough where you have to dig under the dirt to avoid them but yeah there's they just wanted to throw it off they are they like to swarm you - yeah it is actually slower to dig into the ground and you can move fast enough where the bees won't catch you any so it's better to just never do a regular spin on these like even there even without the hops was able to get away from them actually it doesn't look like the Nitro will detonate all three of them but they will and that fence won't hug the left side of the wall moat normally these fences you have to wait them out because their hitbox actually extends look very far above them but they don't extend left and right so that one fence in particular you can actually hug the left wall and you'll like clip into the scenery and be able to dodge that fence now we're gonna go back to check on those that's not us like yeah we're not the imbalancing no night to RNG what is that yeah oh oh what interesting staircase there yeah so this Jim fast is actually the hardest this is legit I would really section but like you have to do it yeah the Jim is like right at the beginning so we just like get it on the views like after that there's actually a bit actually really hard so something we really neglected to mention is that this nice thing with crash games is that if you grab a gem or a crystal and then die you actually keep it so that's where a lot of these death abuse threats are very useful is that you can grab something and then instead of finishing it now you can just death abuse them yeah keep going and just like close those not interested might actually just die yeah and we don't need to break those yeah that's right tomato yeah this bonus is just a lot of avoiding nitros yep and then just leaving those crates there cuz the Nitro put that in there will take care of them out of all the lulls in work from for this is probably the simplest and most straightforward one which is kind of scary because this is not an easy level yeah we're forties pretty warm for is probably the hardest level in the world there's a couple of hard levels and warping flies but every war every level in this workroom besides this one is pretty difficult yep sounds really where the run kicks into high gear this is basically where the gauntlet begins yeah because we're going to a very long warm because you you visit the six war room twice yeah so every nation the next level it actually has a lot of very tight platforming this is infamously one of the harder levels both casually and speed-wise yeah a lot of tricky platforming it's honestly very similar to like the level design of crash one where it's a lot of fun being patient yeah well the night here like stores and actually punishes you but I'll talk about that towards the end this level also a lot of its box formations are very cruel because they are very similar to formations you see in road to ruin like this one here but there's a nitro behind it so if you like just if say oh those folks this I'm just gonna break them we'll get into it you run into the net explode and then there's another one coming up where there's like a bunch of outline traces the exact same formation as road to ruin where you broke all those crates but darn that interest what they're nitros so if you like try to just spin into them freely is to look at all these nachos you do have to actually trigger them though because if you don't then the nitro detonator won't get to ya so this is the green jump path but the green gem itself is really slow slow monsters like which high jump into it this is one of the trickiest platforms actually in the game for sure yeah it's a lot of timing is a enemy here the depth perception is a little odd because you're just running forward yeah these are guerrillas that throw logs can be very annoying because the vodka boxing can be a little weird coming up here they were nice enough to give you a mask right at the end like yeah that's nice there so there's a I'm here gonna grab it and death abuse because if you actually exit the green jump at that will take you to vehicle choose oh we didn't mention shoes so there's whenever you fall into a hole except for the very first one where shoes are guaranteed which was which happened in turtle woods there is an animation that might play that we call shoes and if that happens then it just loses time because crashes shoes will fly up into the air and then the animations would take longer this animation is random so there's really nothing that can be done if it happens thankfully eccentric you should tell yeah it doesn't happen too often you just have kind of have to accept that fun time this one it's pretty cool like its bonus trigger those TNT something's very unforgiving one because there's a lot there's more boxes than this bonus and they're on the main level so dying here is very unforgiving oh cows yeah that's the balance Christ there can be a little tricky but one stuff we pulled it off really well it's a very hard section oh this actually takes forever yeah the other thing but it takes forever to enter an exit this bonus so if you die having to reenter it is a lot of time lost super around these flames a little bit oh it is very important that for the rest of this level once does not die or take a hit because he needs to take two masks out of this level and from that check point on there's only one mask left in the level and these cycles are actually a bit scary they're not too bad they kind of like give me a heart attack too bad I was like I just I just killed it nice I was really good though and we're out with tusks yeah good good job good job that is not an easy level to leave from that and it does lose a lot of time to not leave it with two masks because the next level is hanging out and this is a level that's pretty well known for being very beneficial for masks in a speedrun and in the original crash - it was the only level where invincibility was required we're gonna get a quick message from Koko here Aspen and bells and batteries maybe something like that yeah at the beginning of the game or something I don't know kind of entire story kicks off because Coco's battery in her laptop dies and she tells crash to get off his lazy butt and go get her some batteries and then crash gets kidnapped and that's why we're here all for the sake of batteries so this was hanging out this is the last three level in the game and right off the bat once did a hob slide to get all around that flamethrower enemy entire section up to the the one mass in the level is a little terrifying because if you yeah if you take a hit at all it's a pretty big job loss definitely tend to clinch yeah these cycles can line up a little awkwardly and if you think you're gonna get hit it's sometimes better to just wait it out it's not worth the time like the couple seconds you lose for waiting it out is not worth the time Union is forgetting yeah for sure so the mental you notice how slow the hang rails were just walking on them so what if you just didn't have to what if you could just hop slide across these hot five really nice make the log fast even supplies spinning through them as faster than those hang room it is a note that if you if you have an invincibility and you ride the hang girls you do actually move much better on the hanger rails but even with that it's better to just slide spin across the hot pipes a little you just clip in so like you know I decided I just really don't want there crystal but that's the goal of the game you need to getting your own wrong okay I don't know man this bonus round these bounce crates are a little weird so the way the bounce craters work to the once you've bounced on them they actually have a timer and it maxes out of five bounces but if you just let them sit there for a little bit they'll just bounce they'll just break in one hit and that's quicker to do that and you spent on each one five times really sure about not getting that crystal man like I don't know it seems like it might be important so I'm getting grating my master just like you just got hit by all over the whole gym but you still need the crystal open what are you doing oh oh oh my friend of the Eels oh now you got the crystal but oh there's another spectrum it's something I'm not a funny about this section I said like this was the only since the like the crass has this like little maneuver where like he hangs in place and like pulls his legs up and this was the only section in the entire series yeah you need it but but like if you just hug the center you don't even need it yeah Jim funny and like get hit also this is a secret exit yeah a tone looks totally secret level but there's one more visit to the war room and after that visit Ponce is gonna clear out the rest of his memory so the next level coming up is old hard crash this is the longest level in the game it is easily it's pretty hard infamously if you're going for full completion and craft penny could do this is one of the hardest levels in the game if not the largest that's my trophy room called Hart crash easiest level in the game now it's pretty it's pretty uh I mean it really depends allies physics yeah there's a lot going on as well there's there's a dead one there's a death round so going up to that death row blood once again cannot die yeah most of like this stuff that actually is hard is actually in there in the death Road yeah we're going for all these great the beginning of the love is pretty look at something like Colton or I guess is that these level has like a huge amount of networks this level has the highest box count of any level in the original three crash games at 155 I think the only thing that comes close to it is gone tomorrow in crash 3 which I think I'd like a hundred twenty something yeah something like that and then well of course the wrath of cortex just uh one thing to note is that once wants to hold on to this match because the invincibility is going to be very useful in the background yeah Perry like very now this is pretty easy probably easiest parts a little anal yeah so this exclamation crate actually triggers a staircase coming up you can make the jump without it but it's really difficult at all yeah right before they're so like no it's actually gonna skip this check the wave later throughout works is that there's a bunch of craziness so you need to do it to get the Box down but there's also a gem at the very end that you can only get by dropping down and exiting the death row yeah and if you saw that like outline crate right there there's there's an exclamation box at the end of the death route that triggers that exclamation Crescent the way you do this level if you want to finish being already a cold hard crack in one visit you roll all the way to the end of this level this path you break the exclamation block you ignore the gym and you just go back to that crate Gladys the thing that made that invincibility so useful that it cleared out that the entire section of enemies like it will be very important then is we need to come back for the down this keep escaping the interest is actually like pretty cars yeah it's do it without the invincibility yeah so he's gonna hit this checkpoint and then he's gonna go back into the death round go through it all again grab that gem that which will warp into the end of the level and then he's gonna deputies yeah if you want to finish cold hard crash in one visit and get to the crystal and both gems that is the way you are supposed to do it this is not like a speed running like like optimization this is how the level is still the most like it's blending this one thankfully that cycle with the pit the stomper there like there he doesn't abuse the truce I guess but that death row cuts out a good like half of the level I would say so there's this nice little music bug here where it's playing the death round music which makes this entire section pretty awesome yeah this section is actually like this texture pretty well Lisa I'm like it's one of the coolest yeah it's actually not really seeing that often because in the any percent run in this game you still take the death row because it's faster than actually doing the level normally sadly the music piece that is soft alright there it is actually a really neat section that sadly isn't really seen that often there is a crate behind those nitros but the nitro detonator will take care of it and this will take us back to where we did this that entire section is cut out is to take the background so it is a lot of level removed and the rest of this is a pretty straight five straight shot like I'm probably gonna probably get as an animation sure we've actually got a couple here we have a $10 donation former cast as our boy bones lot this is one of them I say this a lot in this world and this is one of the hardest all this and there's a lot of hog slides you can do and taking is unique and that like a lot of the hob slicing crafts too are actually ones where they're like pretty sport bursts and you just chant a lot of them digging it has a bunch of hogs slide that you carry for a long time oh this little has another death row it has another death row it's um it's gonna be a very interesting it's a we're on yeah it's part of a forge path yeah actually haven't seen one of those yeah so the hall slide there actually let them get through that fence and then he's gonna damage abuse on this one because after this level you can't take masks out of this hole just because of the way it's done so using them where you can is just very beneficial and that was a hop slide just to get the bonus bonus is pretty straight yes pretty straightforward so alright like close you're gonna get like the bottom to bottom two for each or age but it looks like the the TNT won't break all three of those bodies yeah the blast radius is actually wide enough where I'll take care of Mulberry and then here's the death Road the death Road is another case of there's stuff at the beginning there's a lot of empty space and then the stuff at the end yeah once we've done damage be so through those knife row just to clear them all the way sometime you're gonna get those two balanced crates at the beginning and then he's gonna leave and he's gonna exit from the back yeah thankfully there's a way to get there's a way together you're not supposed to be able to do boy yeah you get into the back but there's a way to abuse some cleaner so you can getting the hog slides off of these bees is really useful interesting it's a lot easier to get them off with those small bees than it is off to get off of the huge hives in behaving without that cycle because it looked like it was a little tight oh I was really like digging in the ground and if you get died before reaching that checkpoint it would it would be like I've been ordering the best route yeah it was better to just wait out that fence a little bit and just so the way you get back inside the death route from behind it's actually pretty cool just like a kind of scenery that you can like stand on and just get back in yeah so you can actually step on certain parts of the scenery and just jump in through there without having to and then so there's pork ribs right here these three on the checkpoint and then from here he's just gonna go back out and then use the scenery again to jump out yeah the scenery jumps to get into the death route are a lot easier than they look it looks like it's a really difficult thing but if you know just the positions where you can land it's actually well thankfully I check one was right there how'd you catch it was it whole style yeah yeah good good fellas good recycles yeah well you can re-type from that hill but it's a little tricky just cuz that hole is there but as I was saying with the jump into and out of the death Road it's not as difficult as it looks so if you were interested in running either this category or 102 percent where it's also done I would very much recommend learning it it saves a lot of time in this level this level is very long and it just a long time what are you doing yeah use that plant I just you know I have a personal vendetta he didn't you haven't washed all of my run I really wanted to kill this plant also there was he wrong warp to you for killing him why'd you do that this is what you get you didn't do anything to you and now you actually have to play crush three Oh disclaimer actually really like crash three yeah crush 3 speedrun dynasty is really it's actually not really gonna do they're all really good rooms you should watch all of them just some bats oh that's a good exit that's new vertex is unlocked the secret answers to road to ruin which we don't actually need to enter because the crazy would get for we're done with the road to ruins to get from the first visit you still need to unlock it though because it gives you one percent and if you don't get that one percent you actually can't unlock the secret ending so even though you're not re-enter aruond you still need to unlock them yes so totally five is the first of all well first but this is a nighttime jungle level in the gimmick here that there are these fireflies that help you like light your path and see what's going on they depending on your brain just endings you can actually see without the fireflies but it doesn't hurt to pick them up so there was a nice fog light on the scenery right there actually really neat levels a lot of yeah these spike pots you actually cannot harm them yeah if you touch them in any way they will kill you there are no masks in this level also so there's no damage so these bonus has this Firefly that is kind of unique in the sense that it doesn't like oh you follow yeah you're supposed to go it's actually like with the brightest painting it's a brightness setting like actually it's actually really easily you can see it's kind of concept here where this section ideally you're supposed to break all of these iron crates with the body sound before picking up the Firefly otherwise you're not supposed to be able to see but again one if you go fast enough you might not run all the time but also you can just kind of see everything along the way anyway and even if you couldn't it would be more beneficial to just memorize the layout of those bowls and there's very nice snipe on all four of those crates we don't need those lives we're ahead already have a lunch and that was the German totally fly like totally bare this mobile has no crystal so you're just in there to get the jump no we go back to Eric tries all the way back to warp two to finish out air crash and this will be the last we see of warp six and work to play as so we enter through like I say great that have that has like a lot of books a lot of boxes the land I tried tonight or two acing the secret path your crash is pretty good yeah I believe was he is there any significance to that number Dalmatians 102 Dalmatians Dalmatians great movie celebrating video so you can actually weave behind this mine which stay some time over having to get those ones he doesn't have to get that crate because the Nitro drove all it up this nitro generator and you laughter this with 47 great yeah and just like one second he broke 47 crates and you're back to the very big enough fails so you don't have to backtrack thankfully this is a lot of this pump we've seen before since now he's gonna go for all the crates I think I'm probably feeding up until the end of the bonus yeah I didn't like stays a bit of time but in the first visit it wasn't done because if you messed it up and you die then you lose the death route but in this case it's it's worth the risk and it does save a good amount of time I don't we go to the best boss fight yes this actually legitimately the best boss fight is the one that is the only one that's not an autoscroller awesome it's actually pretty hard there there's a lot of strategy to this fight and it's also very important that once is entering the fight with a mask yeah that's why we used to crash yeah that's better yeah he'll know yeah because tiny is actually when the only boss fights where you can't take in my doctor engine was the end stand for there was there was never actually so every piece of engines next to has a certain number of hit points the arms have expanded and with very precise throwing of these one per fruit you can actually break post at the same time it is not easy yeah it's very actually I've gone yeah yeah that close things he closes really quickly in that case he closed instantly I mean whatever isn't the setup was like it's like kind of orangey I guess it's absolutely orange I'm sorry absolutely orangey know kinda orangey yeah very nice all right so these two shoulders will fire missiles out that wants we'll have to dodge each of these shoulders haswell's hit points and if the key to this section is moving in a way where you can hit them both as much as possible before they close and hitting destroying both of them at the same time is sadly not possible because the moment you break one the other one immediately yeah Oh there you go yeah by the way you can glitch I jump even though you don't can spin that's great actually I didn't know you could slide in this section very nice okay so here chrome stay for that section is the one that's going to require the mask and just gonna drop down he's gonna come back with a oh yeah he's gonna come back with a laser thing I guess it takes four hit points and normally you can't do it in one go but if you do a damage abuse you're able to get it in one that not only does that save time it also removes a small bit of our energy from the last part of the fight and that when he'll drop down again after destroying the platform he'll go either left or right it's completely random and he would have to react to it if you didn't have that mask so it's very beneficial to bring a mask there and that was warm for so we're on to the very last war movie so we're pro/5 have actually had really variable yes it's entirely dependent on how masks go ideally you bring one in to the warp room I do little packets like I do you like pakatok you do backpack attack and now if I'd have masks that you can bring in to other levels where the mass this is also the first of the jerath you know the jet pack is a vehicle yes yeah here we are in crash 3 it's very nice when you go forward or left and right or up and down but then when you turn around it gets a little weird crash does this the weird pivot thing when he turns around as opposed to just turning around and it can like kind of throw you in crazy directions if you're not prepared he's kind of just like shaking a lot it's that kind of cool thing that you can do there yeah yeah and when you spin those Sciences actually spinning a second time gives you a small boost it's very weird because in all other instances spinning actually slows you down yeah it just wanted to offer the scientist for whatever reason you can and gives you like it gives you that because you kind of like actually hitting the second time without getting hit yeah this tomato's the jetpack all things considered isn't too bad it's just that when you have to turn around some boxes it can be a little unyielding it's easy to lose control yourself this is a nice crystal and then let's go the jetpack levels are very short very nice you get a hot plug there off the wall it's all there is for that one it's a nice level actually pretty quick not too terrible all right I know would you do 95 which is supposed to be that I guess the first Dahlia first yeah but the second one we'll see internal numbering order it's the first one because this is 123 and yeah I guess 9 5 days huh it's well it's not a straightforward lil would like some backtracking things so there's no yeah but you don't actually be needed because it's like you go into an ethros and there's like a lot of there's nothing but there's very important yeah there's two boxes at the end and then at jamee I like closed I guess the middle of it oh yeah he's showing us his skills right here I can only do what I'm doing it was a valiant effort it was pretty close I was right next to the checkpoint actually yeah it was really close to check actually better luck next time sometimes like you can see even though the firefighter than there are other parts for the first code are that actually is kind of hard to see without it it was very close to getting yeah I mean is that's no no that's also like not a thought you wouldn't be so far five very real early is usually the firefight like yeah like pick them up is really large so it was actually kind of strange I didn't follow them it's a nice knife on that holding the lizard enemies you actually have to slide into them you can't spend them or jump on them I think the thing is that they have these weird like sharp lock blades around their neck the rest of this one was pretty straightforward aside from the backtracking so it's probably a good place for ya was probably again like do little box like they're very my new weight fast melt those four boxes you got any more donations yeah sure do okay we have a $25 anonymous donation and says I heard that you can't beat this game on high difficulty because you'll get a hard crash respect it tough crowd tonight we have a $50 donation from dub dub dub dub comm says love crash bandicoot crash 2 has always been my favorite can't wait to see how quickly 100 percent can be broken PS shout out to the Yeti for 1 million dollars yeah that spectrum can get pretty tricky if you're unfamiliar with it or if you don't have a life well yeah there were two crates back there and the J and the German conveniently you can just right you just like walk up the back so you actually have no idea how this was meant to be like a business or like I think you were supposed to get the jam and then death of you and then like finish the level in the fat track at the end I'm actually something with like digging it like some of these I don't really know how to do it unfortunately yeah you only able to leave with one mass because of the beginning so yeah so there's a couple of cool things there's a couple cool damage to be strats you can do in space stylus they have a lot of time at the beginning but it's also more important to take two masks into level 21 which is yeah I spin it away so for the sake of that it would be better here to just play spaced out safe and try to take both masks out of here cuz there's one mask in this level and this is also a level that we will be visiting twice these electric tentacle BOTS have a very annoying hitbox you can only jump on their heads if you hit their legs at any point you will get hurt aside from when they have their legs up like that and then you can slide into an instant jump yeah this is how important the nitro RNG right there yeah so one thing that we passed was another blue jump platform that is the beginning of the multicolored jump as to finish that path you need all five colored gems which we conveniently have but it's actually the only thing in it is the gem at the very end it actually take you to an exit of the level so if you were to visit it now this plans all that yeah showing us seeing us on the edge of our seats so if you were to do the secret gem path now you would actually have to death abuse so it's actually better to finish the level now without doing the multicolored gem path and then coming back to it after you do the final boss fight with cortex because in the NCAA trilogy version of crash to defeating cortex actually gives you the running shoes from crash 3 and it's faster to just be visit it with the running shoes close for the sake of move-in and for the sake of keeping these masks there was another nice use of the double slide there that's probably one in before yeah unfortunately the first one didn't go too well so we got to see the fall for the first time [Music] wait this now because so these lush shrink rays you can actually bend the beam they shoot at you and just there was no spot like a hole at the end for me yeah behind that shrink ray and we we're not sure why it used to be on the ps4 version and then when they updated the game for the multi-platform release they patched in like a platform there which is how it wasn't the original but then the PC version the hole is still there it's it's very interesting okay no we're out we have to man so now we will be doing piston it away this is another level where invincibility is vital in actually two parts of the level so there are a lot of invisible walls in these side-scrolling levels as we mentioned before and these Pistons normally you have to wait on them and it takes a very long time but a neat quirk of invincibility is that it makes all of those piston cycles to stop so here you'll see you'll get this invincibility and until the invincibility runs out and those Pistons are gonna go down and it also lets you go through all of these enemies yeah just run yeah and then you got a hog slide off of you have a blister I hope I jump into a body slam there to get all those grades yeah and then he can just pop fly through here and go through all these enemies as well and then get through these classifications right here and it just went through all that cycle really quickly without having to wait on anything which is great just to note here it looks like I have one mass but I actually have to use just the visual yeah there's a visual bug where sometimes even if you have to mass alcohol is supposed to glow gold but sometimes the effect just doesn't appear but you can see that he's still sparkling and that's a sign that he's got to a mask so here's the second day of school this one's not as useful but it still is nice for clearing out a lot of things and stopping a couple cycles you also noticed there was a death drought we will be coming back to that this is also a very difficult level to do casually for full completion because this is again the intended way to do it you go all the way to that checkpoint and then you backtrack to the death right after doing this bonus run investing there's actually there's actually like one books one crate all the way at the very end towards the end of the level and normally you're supposed to have to go all the way to the end to get it but it is also conveniently next to eight nitro and let you get though unless the nitro closest to it balances at the exact moment which apparently has happened two blocks yeah it's gonna happen yeah the nice rows will actually detonate the one crate it doesn't look like it should it looks like the night rose if you go to that section it looks like the night rows are far away that it won't fall those crates but one day I was I was just passing what is the nitro blow up is crate and I tested it and it worked so that's been part of the run ever since is that you don't you don't have to go on yeah it actually huge there's a bunch of cycles you have to wait on like it is a gigantic time state to not have to get that unfortunately if the Nitro jumps at just the wrong time like what we won't know because it's off-screen but if it jumps at the wrong time then once we'll have to just death abuse and try it again so this section is pretty tricky this was a bunch of enemies the dog thankfully we have that mask mask from this point on aren't two vitals so these airborne technical bots you can actually slide them oh you tried there's actually a thing you can do if you get hit there you can actually kind of like spin and do like a jump in air to like save yourself yeah it's pretty precise though so if you're not prepared for it it can throw you off yeah that section is really tricky just because of the feed loss from the jump refer from the balance and then having to hit the spike box right or the technical box right in the center but that's piston in a way no overall I would say went really well yeah nice sure orangey was nice to do this yeah yeah it was you can get that so there is one more level with a crystal that we have to do and that is the second of the two jetpacks and this is rocket this is the I would say it's the simpler of the two the boxes are a bit more spread out I guess because this is the level that's supposed to introduce you to the jetpack and get you a feel for the controls so because things are spread out there's gonna be a lot more finicky maneuvering but overall in terms of you know and at the enemy placement and just things that can harm you it's a pretty straightforward level however with no masks it is a little scary I don't know we can like do nations maybe I don't know if there's anything to talk about in the cell music yeah I'm good actually yeah the jetpack has never been a very popular vehicle in crash - but one thing that has always been popular is this song if you want my honest opinion this is the best song in crime yeah my a no pain - honestly and the unsane trilogy like the remix / - aqua very nice sure kind of mix off further so yeah there isn't too much going on in this bubble that we didn't see in PAC attack so this is a good place to fire off a couple strong the specs of your PC are so for the sake of fairness we do load this funding but also for the sake of that cycle that was really weird he obviously meant that you won't need it to this get time for a few more no because we're almost at the final boss okay hello the last we have every crystal mouse but this is the last boss this is cortex if you have played the original crash tune of completion you will know that this boss fight was known for being pathetically easy I'm happy to tell you that in the NS a trilogy is even easier I don't know how they did it but they did it any any RPG like epic boss fight like that no no thank you give me torn neocortex this is the best boss fight ever so the way this boss fight it works is you you're on your favorite vehicle the jetpack and cortex is running away with these crystals that we collected for a good cause and you have to hit him at a certain time and conveniently this is little like red icon that shows up when you are able to hit him so as long as you just like cut your corners properly and wait for that icon to show up there's really not much way to mess up you kind of actually like died for Hannah and like any mind rocks you're just the only way you can like not like them like you all it's so he's the runs not over yet there's just a couple more things to do and also it's very important you can actually pause and exit the boss fight right now but if you do that it won't give you the percent for collecting the running shoes but it'll also see that you have the running shoes so you can never collect that percent and therefore you could never finish the run that is a very huge thing to note if you want to pick up this categories that do not quit out of that fight otherwise your run actually just cannot be finished but actually gets the feed shoes from beating cortex it was not in the original yeah we're gonna make use of them right here we have one more thing to get and you have one more gem which is the gem from the multicolor jump past in space valid so slides been Earth's wide shoes movement where you do slides with the running shoes is actually really cool in that it actually makes slide jumping the fastest form of movement in the game - hop hop sliding it's significantly faster than the slide spin and in a hundred percent this is really the only place you see it like I said it's faster to do the spaced out color gem path with the slides just for the sake of masking for the slide shows movement you see a lot of slide to movement in a hundred and two percent because the entire last portion of the run with the time trials is done with the running shoes that was a case of you can fly down those technical box while they have their what 102 percent is the one category in the end same trilogy where you see a lot of this flight or the running shoes because obviously this is the only place you see hidden 100% there are no running shoes in crash one actually and in crash threes a hundred and eight percent which is the max completion category for that game just the way the route is set up you actually don't get the running total you don't really either so this is a really nice show off of the movement that you would see in the yeah untie me slide very soon so this is the very last thing we're collecting it's gonna be one more cutscene that launch is gonna skip and then timing and when the final loading screen pops up after rising after riding the Reese's Cup is so get ready on time and if all went well then we should trigger one more cut scene with the Brio who is we're actually the ever lovely succinct and punchy how are you doing today man thank you thank you I'm doing good you've got had a busy day today you actually you have to get ready for your runs you're gonna be doing Silent Hill 2 later and yet we were like now we actually want you to be on the host station first time you were gonna host here right very first time how was that because I remember the first time you watch me you were like kind of a shaky star but like this always happens when you do something for the first time after the first like 20 minutes I kind of like gotten to the rhythm and then it was it was really good after that speaking a rhythm man you know you were pretty nervous about it I can't imagine many hosts okay with singing the entirety of the DK rap the first verse which is already still like a good minutes worth of wrapping up there you killed it as what was running through you're running through your head at that point object panic cuz like despite everything I've never played Donkey Kong 64 and I am NOT like down with the kids on these things so when people started like donating on mass for like do the DK route do the decoder do the geeky around then so I had to like get it up on my phone and like push it to my ear like I'm listening to a taco like hello everything I was like tell your secret I must learn quickly I don't want to disappoint the crowd they the horror block here we're gonna be running silent hill - for what is still a lot of people the most beloved found hill his game in history what is it in particular that draws you to Silent Hill - and particularly speedrunning it the whole series in general he's just sort of something I happen to be playing through when I first got into like online speedrunning i found out about like speedrunning as a culture sure sometime in like 2014 or 2013 i just happen to be playing through Silent Hill 1 at the time and I picked up that game and from there I picked up South Hill 3 I just get to for a while I actually only learn some who do very recently like Oh a few months back thanks I know you've run sound Hill 3 this one and finally hole 1 have you drawn the whole trilogy now yeah you will find the whole trilogy there's also a fourth game which I don't like whatever so tell me a little bit about the run tonight what are you most nervous about I've messed around with it spearing a resonable Games never touched Silent Hill what are your was kind of the big pitfalls do you think free tonight well I'm very confident in my execution of like all the tricks and tech in the game and what-have-you it's not a very like execution heavy run I'm most scared of the game crashing is what I'm scared of oh there are there a budget it's one of those games by Iran Silent Hill 3 at European speed run or assembly sure last year and that is another game in the series which has like PC port issues but the the exact nature of the issue I had with that run was it changed my difficulty in the middle of the run oh it's the I can do that it's a thing was that the first time you'd ever seen it do that no no okay though yes I had experience with it doing that so I liked I played it off decently but I'm worried of it doing something of that nature well I I hate to say this but I believe we have been bombarded by an upcoming villain of one of our other games I believe ladies and gentlemen Albert Wesker could be in the house Albert Wesker in the form of potentially raw derps as well his alter-ego eventually he's finding his way through Raccoon City as we speak Oh Oh Albert run last year being on the couch for like carcinogens resin evil seven run what is your mindset when you go into doing commentary for a run talk really fast I've actually been doing like talking of a video game commentary for something like a decade now in some format or another like less place on YouTube my old ones are really bad they don't exist anymore twitch streaming for a while before I eventually sort of like got good at it I suppose like it's a skill in a craft like anything else but it's one thing to be good at a speedruns another thing to be good at like talking while you're doing it mm-hmm that takes practice and I've had a long amount of practice that if it's hard to articulate what nicely the thought processes at this point I just kind of do it as for a lot of people who don't necessarily know how to explain it but I'd say you would definitely be one of the names I recommended people I just go watch one of the runs he did commentary for clutters program for both of you guys just into a couple just silly little questions I want us to be both you obviously part of the horror genre tonight are either of you horror movie fans do you guys have a favorite horror flick there's battle royale count I mean a lot of people die in it like I guess that count there's a lot of bloodshed in that movie so yeah what's a good take well unconventional no I do love the
