Courts of Heaven Session 4: Presenting Cases in the Courts of Heaven

okay well what I want to do tonight is I want to talk to you about how to present a case in the courts of heaven and I could talk about several different things I mean I mean when you've been teaching on something for nine years you're you're not just rehearsing the same thing over and over I'd really get bored doing that in fact I have some friends is that how can you teach that over and over and over I said only because I have a mandate from God to impregnate the body of Christ with with this with his truth with his understanding but in the middle of that I'm always open for God to bring you know a next level revelation and really what's happened to me is over the course of time the initial revelation that I had has become simplified instead of it getting more complicated it's become much more simplified and and my friend Dutch sheets says that's because I understand it better he told me he said I said I can preach this to any group of people and bring it to where they are he said that's because you understand it and and I don't get many compliments from Dutch if you have been around Dutch you would know what I'm talking about I was I was at the elijahlist conference I was one of the speakers last January out in Oregon and and so I got there and I was one speakers and then Dutch showed up you know later in the day and he said what are you doing here I said I'm one of the speakers he said what so he got up that night and I had already told Steve Schultz I told Steve I said I said I said I'm just gonna warn you whenever Dutch takes up that pulpit I said he is gonna lay into me and he's not gonna stop and then Steve looked at me and I mean the moment the moment it started in is and I look just even I said I told you and and so at one point Dutch had to adjust his mic and so he looked down he said Robert Robert you gotta register we traveled for a few years to gather doings doing a lot of stuff so we know each other he's a Robert coming reason while I'm do something while I'm fixing my mic and so I come up and I said I just looked at him and I said what y'all just pray healing for me would you please just bring healing and because he was he was so he so abused me but but um but anyway he's you know he's a really good friend all right I mean okay his we were in Colorado Springs together and his staff his staff was in a meeting and they were going around the table and a Dutch wasn't there they were going around the table and they were saying they were they were talking about what each one of their love languages was you know Gary Smiley's book is some you know the five love languages which I love the book I think it's awesome and so each one was saying what they thought their love language was and so someone said well what do you think they called him apostle they said what do you think of possible Dutchess love languages and the worship leader said sarcasm okay so when we talk about presenting cases before the courts here's the deal is that so often in the in the early days and even I still cover it because it's necessary that that we understand that we have to deal with that thing that's against us the thing that the enemy would be using to work against us we've talked about that quite a bit you know last night and today but one of the things I began to realize is that it's not enough to know how to silence the voices against us we also need to know how to present our own case in the courts of heaven because if we don't know how to do that we never actually give me any decisions rendered in our behalf and so as I said just a few moments ago one of the things I've been able to do is I've been able to bring things into more simplicity so that we can say okay this is the way we do this and I could teach a few a couple of lessons three lessons on this but I really want to zero in on this tonight so look at me in Isaiah chapter 43 verse 26 and I want to talk to you about how to put God into remembrance and as you do that bring your case before the courts because you're going to see from the scripture putting God into remembrance is actually presenting a case before the courts of heaven okay so watch this Isaiah chapter 43 verse 26 put me in remembrance but watch what Gus has put me in remembrance let us contend together state your case that you may be acquitted that's I mean is legal he's telling them come before my courts and here's why saying put me in remembrance let us contend together state your case that you may be acquitted so in other words stating our case the way we state our case is by putting him a remembrance the way we present a case to him is by putting him remember so when he says put me in remembers we are we are coming before him and we are presenting our petitions our case before him but notice he said let us contend together and and again this is all legal stuff now when he says let us content again he's not saying that he and you and he and I are going to be contending with each other I believe he's saying that us contend together he's saying you and I together are gonna silence the accuser against you let us together we're gonna contend together against the accusations the complaints the reproaches of the accuser so he says again put me in remembrance let us content together state your case that you may be acquitted so one of the ways one of the chief ways we present our cases is by putting God into remembrance okay so so he he begins to declare that now if we if we're gonna see the significance of this we need to know the power of God remembering something what well I mean what what what we talked about when we're talking about God remembering something let me show you some examples of God remembering number one God remembered Noah in Genesis 8:1 it says then God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark and God made a wind to pass over the earth and the water subsided so when God remembered Noah he sent a wind that began to dry up the flood so that they could eventually get out of the ark but he says that the reason God did that was because he remembered now this is my this was always my question he says God remembered Noah and my question was how could he forget him he's the only one left alive I mean I mean your God of the universe just ruling over the creation but he and his family the only ones left how did you forget him so here but here's the point remembers there for we know that God remembering something doesn't mean he's aware of it God remembering something doesn't mean he becomes aware of something God remembering something actually means he regards it and is about to move in its behalf that's the significance of being remembered by God it's not saying God God is aware of you now God is always aware of God says I know you God knows all things it's not that he becomes aware of us suddenly no no he knows us He loves us he's forced but when he remembers us it means now he regards as we are regarded and he's about to move in our behalf so so when he says put me into remembrance he's talking about coming before the court of heaven and presenting something before him that's going to cause us to be regarded so that he is about to do something for us with us in us through us whatever the situation may be that makes sense to you so God so so that's that's a very powerful thing now the word remember here in Genesis 8:1 and every other place is used for the most part it means to mark see it's the same word in Deuteronomy 8:18 remember the Lord your God for it is he that gives you power to get wealth that he might establish his covenant we all know that Scripture okay it's their souls but he says remember well what does it mean it means to mark so here's what it meant to the Israelites whenever they heard the word remember it didn't mean for them to become aware of they understood to remember literally meant to put a mark on that which belong to God on the animals that was that was first or whatever poor then that they would mark it with a mark anything that was first anything that was designated because they would mark it so that it would not be misused that's what he meant it meant to mark it so that he would go to the proper place it would have the proper attention it would be marked that's why I'll just tell you this that's why when it says remember the Lord your God what they were at what is actually talking about is operate in firstfruits that's what it meant to the Israelites it didn't mean a mental awareness it meant mark what is first so that you make sure God gets that so when he said remember the Lord your God he is saying give God the first market so it's not misuse give God the first and if you'll do that he'll cause the power of the power to get wealth to come upon you that he might establish his covenant through you that's actually what that word means so that's us remembering God but it's the same word when God remembers us so what does it mean it means he marks us he marks us for a blessing he marks us for a breakthrough he marks us for that which we've been crying out to him he marks us in other words he again he is regarding us and he is preparing to move in our behalf that's what it means to be remembered let me give you a second places that we see this God remembered Rachel God remembered Rachel remember she was barren she was unable to conceive and bring forth and Leah her sister was having all the children and finally Rachel gives her handmaiden to Jacob the Bible says and she has a child he has a child through her and actually Rachel says then God has judged me has judged my affliction but then later on Rachel herself becomes pregnant so in genesis 30 verses 22 to 23 it says then god remember Rachel and God listened to her and opened her womb and she conceived and bore a son and said God has taken away my reproach the Bible says she became pregnant and she began to bear children because God remembered her she has been crying out crying out crying out for years and years and years but suddenly God remembers her something about Rachel grasped his attention it grasped his attention and in that moment God remembered her the Bible says and the scripture says he listened to her he opened her wounds she conceived and bore a son and as a result she said God has taken away my reproach but God remembered her and made her fruitful made her fruitful and I like to say this one of the greatest problems or our yeah our issues we have in the body of Christ is people feeling like they are fruitless they're feeling like they're again their lives are not coming to the level and to the place that they feel like it's supposed to come to and and but but God comes and he literally remembers us and we began to be fruitful we began to have effect we began to see you know something produced out of our life and I'm reminded always of Isaiah chapter 56 where God says this he said he and that he begins to talk about he's gonna build a house of prayer for the nations which is the people it's a house God says go to a house of prayer it's a people bound together that when they pray nations shift that's Isaiah 56 in in verses 1 through 8 or 9 and so but watch what he says he says he's gonna he's gonna do that with three groups of people strangers eunuchs and outcasts just read those particular scriptures you see see God said here's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna raise up a praying people that's gonna be made up of strangers let me give you this they feel like they're misfits they'll fit within the culture I promise you there are people today that don't feel like they fit within the church culture they don't feel like it anymore and they feel like they're misfits well guess what you're a candidate to be a part of a house of prayer that God will raise up a house of people join together that literally when they pray nations shift into divine order so he said I'll use strangers and then he said let me just do the last one outcast that means those who have been rejected how many know God uses rejection to fashion you the Bible says about Jesus he was the stone which the builders rejected he has become the chief Cornerstone so God used rejection in jesus's life to fashion him to fit into the building in the most prominent place and I promise you that God will use rejection not to destroy you but to form you not to destroy you my pastor my pastor let me tell you a real quick story he was not he's my spiritual father's name is James Walker my spiritual father and so while I was on staff with him as an associate pastor for four of those eight years there would be times where that brother Walker would withdraw from me and I would wonder what have I done wrong I wonder what's wrong what what what happened and I would get you know I I mean I would get you certainly am I gonna get you know am I gonna be kicked out of my get fired what what did I do wrong I want to please him and then after a few weeks maybe it all be back to normal now you got to understand that brother Walker was was not is not any kind of a moody person on any level but he would this would periodically happen and I never configure but here's what I would do I would I would I would literally go to prayer and I would find my acceptance with the Lord I learned how in the place when I wasn't getting it from my if you will my spiritual father I could get it from my Heavenly Father I learned how to do that and that would sustain me and stabilize me during those these times so there came a time where me and my wife very clearly had a word from the Lord and we it was it was approved it was understood and we were sent out to pasture own church and so I would come because I was only about 35 miles down the road from where he was and where we had been I would I would just periodically come back just to say hi if I was in that area so I remember one day I came by and he wasn't there but the secretary that had been there the whole time her name was Nancy the secretary that had been there the whole time I just you know because he wasn't there I just started talking to her and she looked at me and she said you know brother James told me something about you the other day and I said he did I said what'd he say he said he told me there were times he would withdraw from you he said because she said he said to me because if Robert can't handle rejection Roberts can't be in the ministry I'll never forget that and I thought what a wise father he wasn't doing it to harm me he was doing it to equip me to push me into a place in God that I wouldn't cuz I'm here to tell you 30-some years down the road he was right Robert can't handle rejection Robert can't be in the ministry anybody that can't handle the rejection can't be a minister in fact if you can't handle rejection you can't even be you can't even handle life [Music] rejection is a part of it so what book says God uses it to fashion us that's what he did with Jesus the stone which the builders rejected God has made the chief Cornerstone amen so so so God uses it I'll use the outcasts as building material for this House of Prayer now the third group is the eunuchs I've saved this for a reason the Eunice what are eunuchs they are those who are incapable of reproducing I mean that's what they are they cannot have children they can't they cannot impregnate that nothing we know that that's what a eunuch is okay well what's this God says to them he said he said let not the eunuch say behold on the dry tree see what does that mean that means that is his don't let them say I have no ability to produce I have no ability I have no SAP in me I have no ability to to tip - - you have a lineage he said don't let them say that he said for I will bring the eunuchs to my house and I will give them a name better than that of sons and daughters in my walls and then he says yes and I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off so here's what he says to those that are fruitless to those that cannot reproduce he said not only will I make them productive watch this I will make them so productive that they their name will be carried on from generation to generation I will make them so productive they will have a legacy he said wouldn't ever listen if you have an everlasting name that shall not be cut off that's called a legacy that's what is called so God says I'm gonna take the fruitless those that are incapable of producing and what I do in them I'm gonna turn them I'm gonna make them so fruitful that they don't just bear fruit in one generation they bear fruit for generations to come they will have an everlasting name that will not be cut off amen so watch when Rachael cries out to God and after years crying God remembers her what's he doing he is making her fruitful she is bringing forth children now she is having the the the the desires of her heart fulfilled and this all happened because God remembered her okay let me give you a third one thing God remembered his children in bondage Exodus 2 23 through 25 it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died then the children of Israel groaned because of their bondage and they cried out and their cry came up to God because of the bondage so God heard their groaning and God remembered his covenant with Abraham with Isaac and Jacob and God looked upon the children of Israel and God acknowledged them what's going on God remembers them now covenant is involved I'm gonna get it in just a minute but what caused him to remember their groanings their groanings you see you gotta understand groanings the Bible says in Psalms 8 he says for the sigh of the needy I will now arise in other words God said if you just go oh I will now arise see a sigh of faith grabs his attention so but it says when the children of Israel groaned in bondage God remember them now obviously I think immediately by this Romans chapter 8 there is groan there is groanings of the spirit that cannot be uttered do you understand in intersession there are times where we began to groan in the spirit and we may not even know why I promise you when that level of intercession begins to come it's is the illicit it's not just a natural thing now it's something coming out of the spirit I promise you that is creep that is causing God to remember you let me tell you a story true story back in the Vietnam War which I know as many years ago now but back in the Vietnam War this lady had a son who flew fighter jets over Vietnam and was responsible for bombing a lot of stuff and all the stuff that was going on there and she constantly worried about him because she was afraid he was gonna get shot down and of course in those days there's no internet and the and the only way to communicate his mail that would take yield for ever for letters to get so she just you know is as trusting God she's a Christian Latian she's trusting God to take care of her son so so halfway around the world in Vietnam he's flying you know missions 2 to 4 for the things he's assigned to do so one night it's the night time here in the states the lady's in bed she gets up and she goes to the restroom when she gets to the restroom on the way back to her bed just in the middle of the night when she as she's going across her bedroom floor a travail hit her out of the blue and she ended up she couldn't even get to the bed she fell on the floor and began to travail she began to groan and travail in the spirit for seemingly no reason and as she's groaning and as she's travail a she's wondering what all this about and suddenly from deep within her spirit this thing coz begins to rise in her and she hears herself as it comes out of her she hears herself out of the groaning travails screaming get down get down get down and this she and then it would release and then and then and then here it would come again here we go get get down get down get down and she would lay there just trying to compose herself and then she was just groaning and in travail as the Holy Spirit was moving her and then all of a sudden she felt this thing come up on the inside of her again again after after quite a while and she felt this thing come up in these words come over mouth get up run get up run cannot run and then the whole thing lifted she went back to bed she'd have a clue what was going on several weeks later she gets a letter from her son and she figured out the very time that was happening in the little knot here he was flying a mission over Vietnam and he got shot down and he parachuted out of his plane into the jungle and the Vietcong was looking for him searching the jungle but he had gotten up underneath the bush and was hiding and they were all around him and he's trying to lay still making sure they don't try to find him because he would become a powa they're moving all around him but they can't find him and all of a sudden he hears nothing he can't look he can't see but he hears nothing and he thinks they're gone so he puts his hands and begins to lift up and he said as he began to lift up he heard the scream in his ear get down get down get down and so he said I better get to him and he laid there for a while longer I still didn't hear anything and he thought they're gonna be gone so he began to race up again he heard it again get down get down get down [Music] he laid back down he said he laid there for quite a while and then all of a sudden that same voice said get up run get up run get up run and he ran to safety you see his mother's intercession his mother's groaning in the spirit caused her son not to be taken captive caused him to escape something that he destroyed many other lives all because he had a mother but knew how to grown in the spirit knew how to give place to that and God remembered him God remembered him because of the groanings that came out of his mother thousands of miles away you see we don't have to understand everything we just simply have to give place to His Holy Spirit and say Lord hear me Here I am anything you want to use me for I don't have to know what it is I'll be willing to grown I'll be willing to travail I'll be willing to intercede whatever it is but I'm gonna let you pour that through me because it might be crucial to somebody else's safety somebody else's purpose somebody else's destiny amen so God remembered him because of the groaning okay so how do we call God into remembrance how do we how do we present a case remember me and remembrance state your case that we may be acquitted how do we do this let me give you I'm gonna give you sympathy for simple things tonight I'm putting God remembers number one we remind him of what is in his book concerning us we've spent the whole day talking about this psalm 139:16 all my substance yet informed all my days in fashion they're written in a book we through prophetic revelation discern what's written in our book and we bring that and we presented and we say we literally say Lord I put you in remembrance that this is what I was made for this is my prophetic understanding and I put you in remembers of what you wrote in my book and I am asking that what I was created for it might become a reality now that requires for us to have an awareness and an understanding of the prophetic destiny that's upon our life okay so we can know that by revelation by understanding by prophetic words that come to us that that bear witness that we that we believe are from God I mean we can know this by all those things but let me let me just for just a few months for you in I've already quoted this this morning 2nd Timothy 1:9 that that Paul said to Timothy he said that we that they were they were not chosen according to their works or their performance that's good news he said in other words the keeping of the law anything he's asked not which he said he said he said we were chosen according to his grace and his purpose that was given to us in Christ Jesus before time again so before anything existed before we existed in the earth there was grace and purpose apportioned us so here's the deal you will know you've discovered your purpose which is right what is written in your book because of the grace attached to it if it doesn't have Grace attached to it it's not your purpose if it doesn't have Grace attached to it it's not your purpose he gave you grace and purpose before time again he wrote it in your book and whatever is in your book when you start to step into it you will know you are finding what God made you for because there's a grace attached to it because he's gave you grace and purpose that was given to you before time again that's really important okay so so here's the question what does it mean to have grace attached to purpose well I'm just gonna mention five things number one number one you enjoy it that's deep how do you how do you know that this is a part of your book you enjoy it it excites your heart he stars you you enjoy it you want to do it now watch maybe you didn't want to do it initially but God works in us both too willing to do and to do his good pleasure you hurt my nice a part of my story last night I didn't want to be in the ministry I thought it would cramp my style I didn't know I didn't have any style but that's what I thought watch but when I yield it to God God changed my heart so it became the passion of my life and I've spent you know every how long as 1980 I don't know how long that is thirty-eight years I guess now Laurel thirty-nine whatever just pursuing this because because it's like Paul said he in in Philippians chapter three he said that I might apprehend that for which I've been apprehended in other words it got a hold on me it's not that I have a hold on God is that it has a hold on me I'm trying to apprehend that for which I was apprehended does that make sense to you okay so so so here's the issue here's the deal that that whatever I'm called you whatever my purpose is it has grace I'm gonna enjoy it number two just real quickly number two I'm gonna discover I have gifts to do it because grace produces gifting Paul said he had giftings based on the grace he had received so so so you can know and whatever your gifts are are gonna be consistent with the destiny you've been created for so so so you will discover whatever your purpose is it has grace you're gonna discover you're good at certain things for instance in my life my English teacher my high school English teacher would roll over in her grave if she knew I was a best-selling author see what because because I mean no one no one would have ever thought that but here was a deal in the back of my mind in the secret of my heart I knew I could do this I had a desire to do it I knew I could write I always wanted to try it out to see what would happen but see nobody else would have dared believe that would have dared to believe that but I discovered I had a grace that produced a gifting that empowered me to do that the deal is some of us need to just take a chance and try things and you might be amazed at the gifting that you actually have number three not only will you be good at it you will have success doing it whatever you're really graced to do it's gonna produce fruit it's gonna produce God's not gonna have you toiling away with no results there will be a results from what you're doing not only will you like it not only will you discover giftings that that you can do it but you will also see fruit being born now we have to be careful with this one because we can be so much comparing yourself with other people or with this size church and that size ministry and this business no we don't do that listen we simply enjoy the journey and and realize that what God is trusting us with is success that is coming out of the grace attached to my purpose that's number three again we could talk about these all night long number four anybody this religious gonna have a problem with this one but it's still true whatever you've been graced to do whatever your whatever purpose your purpose is it has grace attached to it you will be able to make money doing it you'll be able to make money I mean you know money is a reality of life you don't have any life's not gonna be fun if you're constantly having to depend on somebody else to take care of you it's just true you say well you're talking about yours I know I'm talking about anything I'm talking about most of you in this room your purpose is not within the church as far as full-time ministry your purpose is in the business world or in the education or the arts entertainment or wherever it may be so the point is that whatever you're really gracefully whatever your purpose is it has grace attached to it it will produce finances because God you have to be taken care of plus you need a you need an abundance for every good work and that's just the truth so so there's nothing more enjoyable than somebody making a living doing what they've been graced to do here's the problem most people don't do that most people settle most people are never willing to take the risk most people end up spending their life doing a job to make a living that they hate I remember the story of a man when I was living in Tyler when I was in training for ministry that his man worked at this factory where they made air conditionings and he worked there for 30 or plus years and and so it came down his last day before his retirement began when he came in the last day he brought his alarm clock and put it in the in the press because he one of the things he did was you ran press he pulled the lever and he crushed the Lauren Lauren clock making a statement I don't have to pay attention to you anymore and everybody laughed at thought it was funny but here's the deal he spent 30 plus years of his life doing something he didn't want to do because when you do something you do want to do it's not something you're trying to get rid of see I just want to challenge you whatever you do for a living that you don't like maybe God has something else maybe that's really not your purpose maybe maybe there's a purpose God has for you that has a grace on it then not only will you be taken care of but you will actually have a ball doing it and look forward to it every day now in that sense my dad told me years ago when I was a kid well a teenager he looked at me and he said it doesn't matter how much money you make do something you love that's what he told me and I've discovered when you're in the will of God performing the purpose you were created for what's written in your book that he will make sure that money money money follows if you will money money is there but that's a part of it nothing so number five that's four of them that's five of four things that purpose that has a gracious texture number five the fifth one is whatever is your purpose of grace you will have the ones you need you will have the ones you need bearing witness to you you'll everybody won't know you'll have your naysayers but you'll have the right ones you'll have the right ones that will create a platform for you so it will accelerate your process see this is what happened to Paul and Barnabas Peter James and John gave them the right hand of fellowship because they recognized the apostolic grace in their life in Galatians 2 they recognized them until they presented them with it and also so the point is simply this that that there was those who bore witness to them amen so you will have those that will bear witness to you everybody may not like you in fact the majority may not like you but you will have the ones you will have the ones that you need to get you to the next levels in the next places so I just want to challenge you with that that you can discern what's written in your book by finding your purpose because you recognize there's grace attached to that and once you discover that then you come and you remind the Lord of that which you were created for number two okay number two we remind him of his covenant with us Daniel chapter 9 and verse 4 and I pray to the Lord my God and make confessions he said this is what he's praying about Israel coming out of Babylon back to Israel he said and said O Lord great an awesome God who keeps his covenant and his mercy to those who love him and with those who keep his Commandments as he's about to petition God to get Israel out of Babylon and back to Israel he starts off by reminding God that he's a covenant-keeping god you see in other words he how do I approach God I remind him first to what's in my book but then I come and I say Lord I want to remind you that I have a covenant with you by the blood of Jesus by the blood and the body of Jesus I am in covenant with you so I'm asking on the basis of this covenant I'm asking for this to be done in my life why because I am reminding god of the Covenant that I have with him because of what Jesus has done for me and listen I promise you heaven loves that heaven loves it when we come and remind god of the Covenant that we have in Jesus anything that lifts up Jesus heaven heaven heaven applauds heaven celebrates so I come before him and I remind him of that ok number three we remind him of our heart of our heart your heart for his house Nehemiah 13 verse 14 remember me this is what Nehemiah said remember me oh my god concerning this and do not wipe out my good deeds that I've done for the house of my god and for its services Nehemiah said Lord remember me because of what I've done for your house come most people don't get this but you need to understand whoever puts God's house ahead of their house God will remember you and your house I promise you sir this is one my nose he says look I have sacrificially done some things therefore remember me Oh God for what I have done for your house and its services don't wipe out my good deeds so when we when week week it literally when you said what does that mean I mean in a local house you're a part of God's house you serve in that house you pray for that house you pray for the leadership for the pastor for those that are in charge one says you give your finances in that house whatever you are you are you are serving the house of God you have a right to come into the courts and remind God of what you have done for his house and we are putting him in remembrance so that he will move in our behalf I do this I said Lord me and Mary we've spent our entire life serving your house building your house honoring your house will you made sacrifices there's the joy of our heart we're not complaining I'm not complaining we love the sacrifices we make it's not a burdensome thing but Lord remember me in my house because of what I have done for you in your house you say you pray those kind of prayers yeah because I see him a scripture that's the only reason I pray I'm not I'm not out of a spirit of self-righteousness but out of a spirit of understanding what God honors now if you're gonna do that you got to understand how much God values his house see most most believers don't understand that they don't understand that God values his house so much that whoever makes sacrificial service giving whatever into his house God honors that person and his house let me give you an example Luke 7 verses 2 through versus 2 through 6 there's a Centurion soldier who has a servant that's sick okay the centurion soldier he's a Roman he has no drawing rights at this time Jesus was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel he did no miracles for Gentiles recorded except the sour Phoenician woman because she wouldn't shut up and finally because of her faith he honored it even though it wasn't the time of the Gentiles so the only listened the only two people Gentiles in G and in the time that Jesus walked the earth the only two Gentiles recorded to have gotten a miracle from Jesus was the sour Phoenician woman and this Centurion soldier because he said it's not the time so so the Jews that what caused him to give this Centurion soldier a miracle okay the Jews come to him and they say to him the elders of the Jews come to him and say to him please go to the Centurions house and heal his servant why because he loves our nation and has built our people a synagogue and when Jesus hears that he has built them a synagogue and that he loves the nation of Israel Jesus says I will go see his building God a house caused Jesus to remember him in his house and he went to the Centurion soldier and gave him a miracle outside the timing of God in other words his service for the house of God caused something to be done when it wasn't even time for it to be done that's the power of serving God's house listen you can trace it in Scripture who ever Bill's got a house who ever services his house whoever gives to us whoever puts God's house ahead of their own house God remembers he remembers them and Anil Maya was so bold he literally said remember me for what I've done for your house you see some of you you need to learn to pray that some of you have made great sacrifices for the kingdom of God and for God's house in there you need to come before the courts and you need to say before the courts Lord remember me for what I've done for your us I'm talking about how to put gagal remembrance tell him what's in your book remind him of there's what David says David says let him curse he said if gods commanded him to curse let him curse and then he says this it may be that the Lord will look on my affliction and that the Lord will pay me with good for his cursing this day here's what David understood let him curse because if he's cursing me and I am suffering in unjustly and he is saying things that aren't are true and he's lying about me and he's doing all this thing God is watching and he will repay me with good for the curse thing I'm experiencing this day that's what David said so listen I'm learning something whenever I go through hard places when people are speaking evil about me I tell my wife I said I'm thinking to get blessed I got a lady right now this didn't need torment over some things and and the more she comes after me the more these tremendous doors of blessing or opening to me I told Mary I said just let her go just let her go in the flesh if it's it's aggravating but in the spirit realm I'm like perhaps God will look upon my affliction and repay me with God Lord remember Lord behold of their threatenings this that's what they prayed in in in acts 4 behold their threatenings lord they called God to an awareness of what they were going through and what happened the Holy Spirit came filled him and shook the place and they went out and spoke boldly the healing power of God moving because God moved in their behalf because of the threats there was being leveled against them Lord behold they're threatening but they were bold enough to mind God and call God's attention to what they were going through don't be afraid to do that now I have to tell you we have to get rid of the anger and all the stuff that sometimes goes with injustice but at the same time as we as we deal with our hearts we come and we say God remember us remember us for what we have suffered for your name's sake now you say well we really haven't suffered here in America no no you don't understand what suffering is first Peter 4 says that every time you say no to your flesh you suffer let me just show you this I always quote that about I never read it let me show you first Peter chapter 4 we're almost done here and then we're just gonna pray first Peter chapter 4 because we think all we gotta do this we gotta we gotta you know go through hardship we kind of you know somebody's got to do is physical harm whatever it may be but let me just let me just get over here first Peter I hope I'm can find this real quick first I don't I said but first John chapter 4 it says I'm sorry it is first Peter chapter 4 I don't know what I said earlier okay first Peter chapter 4 where is Peter okay it says chapter 4 verse 1 therefore since Christ suffered for us in the flesh arm yourselves also with the same mind for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin he said he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men before the will of God he's not talking about somebody doing something dumb he's talking about them saying no to their flesh every time I say no to my flesh I'm suffering he there's suffering in the flesh has ceased from sin he's no longer living his life to the lust of men heavy regards that too so suffering is not just some terrible things that happens across the ocean somewhere suffering is when we deny ourselves and we say no no I'm gonna obey God I'm gonna obey God rather than do that thing and he said when I do that and I suffer in my flesh and I'm ceasing from sin the Bible says that literally I can come and present that before the Lord and I can say before him render justice in my behalf and remember me remember me remember me O God behold they're threatening how much more when something evil is being done to us why because the Bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all in other words they're getting afflicted because they're righteous that's what's happening so watch those four things will cause God to they're not exhausted there's others we could talk about watch tell him what's in your book remind him of what's in your book you have to have an awareness of it reminding ones will remind him of his covenant that you have with him and that we have with him through the blood of Jesus remind him of what you have and are doing for his house and remind him of the afflictions that have come against you because you belong to him that's how yes best those are four ways to present a case to put God in remembrance and state your case that you may be acquitted see it's not a hard thing it's a place of just coming before him in faith and saying Lord this is what I want to do I want to present my case before you so would you stand up with me tonight you
