Could These Household Items Save Your Life ???

what's up everybody my name is scooter and unfortunately this is the last episode of adventures with scooter sadly I am going to follow this trend of everyone quitting YouTube because I too am exhausted from making these YouTube videos it's been a long six months and I know that all 50 of you love watching the channel but I just can't take these long days of filming anymore some days I have to film for almost 30 minutes I'm missing Dragon Ball Z I had to sell all my Pokemon cards for all these stupid cameras so I'm done love peace and chicken grease see you guys later hey forget that guy Scott and you're watching Kentucky ballistics and today I have a video for you that I've wanted to film for a very long time I've just had to wait for the old ball and chain to leave the house so I don't get in trouble so she's out of town I'm home alone and we're going to have some fun so today we're going to find out if common household items could potentially save your life I have lots of different items from inside my house and I have a clear ballistics torso made by clear ballistics I'm going to set each item in front of the Torso take a shot at it and see if that item would stop the bullet or at least slow it down enough to where you would potentially survive I am very excited about today's video so let's get set up and get started oh no the wind caught it that was pretty [Music] close so for today's video I have decided to use a 9mm because it's one of the most common and readily available rounds out there I have a Glock 17 and I'm loaded up with 115 grain full metal jackets and our first Target is going to be a common house lamp all right here we go okay so we definitely blew through our lamp that was the most movie likee sound I've ever heard in my life uh oh wow all right I think you may have survived um if you look right there that bullet is not very far into that zombie torso it did not even make it the vitals oh no that's just just a jacket so that was just the jacket but the core actually hit right there and it looks like it hit the collar bone and then actually went out the bat there's just a tiny little hole right there the lamp was not so effective up next I will be shooting a box of laundry detergent here we go oo ah we hit the word fresh let's see if he's fresh we definitely made it through the laundry detergent believe the round hit right there I think we actually yeah we made it through there's the bullet right there there it is if it wasn't for this cinder block that round Would Have Made It clean through the Torso so last week I had a little bit of a whoopsy I left my brand new yeti on the back of my truck and uh well now it's a it's a new shape these giant metal containers used for sipping water seem to be quite The Fad right now so I think this will make a great Target it is full of water let's see if it will save the Torso oh well we had some nice good hit wow that is like really insulated there we' got two layers I believe we did hit our torso we have a new hole right here do we have an exit hole I don't see one How deep did that go let's see how far I can get my finger in there oh I Feel Some Broken Bones yeah I am not really sure how far that bullet went inside the Torso but it did not make it out the back so I'm going to say the yeti definitely slowed that bullet down I'm going to call it a 550 so next you are in your kitchen and don't kid yourself you are definitely not cooking but you do have a knife set so you can slit the top of your TV dinners so someone breaks in you pick up this hold Knife Set hold it in front of you would this save your life all right I got a good feeling about this one here we go oh okay let's take a look at our knife set here oh I can't get it out of there oh ate that knife here's another knife I think I lost a knife looks like the round may have deflected out the side I'm not seeing any new holes knife set for the win so your TV dinner's done but you're feeling a little fancy tonight so you decide to put it on a dinner plate someone breaks in you hold them up would these save your life that was awesome those exploded in quite a spectacular fashion I do believe we have a new hole here though and you'd probably be blinded okay well yeah he's leaking so it seems like the core of that bullet did indeed make it into the Torso but I'm not really sure sure how lethal that would have been it made it in a little ways but it didn't make it all the way through him okay our next Target is a box of cat litter okay if you look over here we definitely made it through the back of the kitty litter I'm not oh here we go right here looks like the cat litter deflected it and it hit him in the Peck and just kind of shot out the side interesting because I keep wiping this thing off with a wet rag it's getting kind of hard to ride on it with a permanent marker so I'm just going to stick earplugs in these holes so I will know which hole is new and which hole is old so up up next I have a dirty clothes hamper full of clothing and one of the articles of clothing inside is actually a Paul Harold t-shirt I'm not sure if you know the situation with Paul Harold but unfortunately he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer these shirts are now available if you want to support him and his wife every single penny made from these shirts is going to go to them clothes and there's our new hole right there now we went all the way through yep dirty clothes will not protect you okay our next Target is a vacuum cleaner all right we have a hit right there and well I think the vacuum cleaner actually stopped it I'm actually pretty surprised by that one I did not think the vacuum cleaner would stop a bullet but apparently this vacuum cleaner sucks up dirt and bullets I don't know about you but I have to sleep with a fan let's see if this stops a bullet that does not smell good I actually managed to hit it in the center oh the bullet is right right there it stopped it this gives me another good reason to always sleep with a fan up next is a stainless steel trash can I saw him move yep I did actually have trash in there we have a hole out the back and we have a new hole right here yeah I believe we've got a new hole out the back as well up next I have a family pack of Bounty paper towels oh yeah we've got us a hole right there and then here on the back we went out we actually have some paper towel on him hit right there and then yeah we made it all the way through the torso up next I have a bag of potatoes yeah don't think that stopped it uh we hit right there zipped through this bag of potatoes and [Music] and well up right I think right there yep new hole right there and a new hole back here I believe right right [Music] there [Music] [Music] hey POA [Music] I got poop on me up next we have something that was pretty popular to shoot a few years back a cast iron skillet oh okie dokie I don't know how well that would do at protecting you it definitely went all the way through uh um well there's a piece of the skillet inside him let's see it was like this so oh here it is right here new hole right there I don't know though it I don't don't see the bullet inside there so I reviewed the slow-mo footage real quick because I'm kind of having trouble determining which hole was from the bullet and from what I can see I don't believe that any of these holes are from the bullet it looks like because this was at a slight angle the bullet ricocheted off the skillet and then pieces of the skillet is actually what did all the damage to the dummy so you wouldn't get hit with a bullet you just get hit with a lot of cast iron okay hey let's sweeten up the deal a little bit we got 4 lbs of sugar oh oh I shouldn't have done that let's see here uh um it's kind of hard to tell if he got hit nope he got hit right here got hit right there and uh went all the way through okay up next we have 15 lbs of dog food oh yeah hit right there went through the back and I'm not really sure where that new hole is but that 100% went through that torso so now you're in the bathroom watching your favorite YouTube channel Kentucky ballistics that you're totally subscribed to when someone enters your home so you reach back grab the top of the toilet will this protect you holy cow all righty then that may have been another Skillet scenario where this could have potentially stopped the bullet but I think you're going to get hit with a lot of toilet shrapnel dang it I think I just pushed it in there it was right there no darn it I'm pretty sure I just pushed it inside him but the bullet was sitting right between two ribs so I would say that a toilet topper definitely slowed down the bullet enough to where it may have been non-lethal still has a lot of potential to be lethal but I'm just saying the toilet topper did a really good job at slowing down that bullet so next I have some Listerine way protein powder and a candle yeah that definitely went through yeah now the candle oh so this candle here was sent to me by the candle guy he actually sent me these a long time ago I'm just now shooting them I think this is fresh cut grass that's nice uh the protein powder we definitely made it through and I'm going to avoid that because I'm allergic to to milk if I breathe that in I'll probably die uh anyways Listerine definitely made it through the Listerine but the candle is what I'm wondering about I don't know well actually y right here we've got us a new hit and you can see that that actually zipped completely through the Torso so none of those we're any good at stopping bullets okay up next we have a coffee maker with some some really watered down [Applause] coffee we definitely blew through the coffee pot and the coffee maker and I believe yeah there's a new hole right there and that went all the way through him that's a little hole right there up next I have a bathroom scale yeah I'm pretty sure that hit him that thing was basically made out of nothing so now I have turned the dummy sideways because I'm starting to have a hard time figuring out where the new holes are and we're going to shoot a laptop there's where we hit we went out the back and we have a new hole right there right under the armpit and that actually went all the way through the Torso dirt is actually really good at stopping bullets so I'm very curious to see if this potted plant could potentially save your life all right we hit right there oh yep we went through the other side and we have a new hole right there and I think that's a new hole right there I don't really think this one is going to do much but we're going to shoot a pillow well it looks to me that if you tried to use a pillow for protection you would definitely be going night night we have shot a lot of stuff today and surprisingly a few things have stopped the bullet one of which was a skillet we shot a cast iron skillet but now I have just a modern Skillet I'm going to set this up at a slight angle take a shot at it and see if this will also deflect a bullet oh I don't think it deflected it much it blew right through that and I'm pretty sure that's the new hole right there yeah that totally went through the other side not mama not mama not mama not the mama well that's going to be it for today's video I hope you enjoyed it if you did
