[Music] what you gonna do [Music] bad boys [Music] [Music] cops is filmed on location with the men and women of law enforcement all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law we're getting dispatched to a person who broke out a window that was in a mental facility and they're trying to right now find the person as far as we know right now we've done what he has him in sight and we're going to try to find him and locate him and try to bring him back we don't know exactly his extensive injuries we know that he um he did break out a window so i'm sure that he's pretty bloody on his hands the staff is out by mcgregor baptist church cinema 35 for the 10-12 apparently they do have an in sight that is that's him charlie ate one from ice and he does have a large stick to his stomach i haven't committed any crimes i've never done anything wrong and i've got the cops after me i've got you behind me what do you do for a living ed talk to me what do you do for a living data one out was talking i was close so i was his little i guess the buddy that you know he'll talk to and he found out that we weren't going away and he knew he was going back to the facility he just said heck with it and just threw his stick down and says okay come here you do it that was it so you just have to lower their anxiety down get their confidence a little bit because these people really don't want to do what they're doing they just can't help it sometimes well we're going to try to help you out okay yeah can we do that yeah responding to a residence people that live there stating a large bird flew and is presently stuck inside their chimney our main concern is evidently the the homeowners fear it may be in a bald eagle and if so we're going to have to handle it very delicately that's why we have animal control and route they're the animal specialists we're just there to assist them with whatever they need hi [Music] that's a beautiful bird isn't it where's animal control are they coming in he was yes see if he's behind us just like i'm trying to find my flashlight and i couldn't find it yeah i think he just landed um when i heard him because i think his talents were [Music] [Music] mission complete i i thought i was dreaming and i heard a noise like um scraping your fingernails on a blackboard and i but i kept hearing it and i i woke up and i could still hear it and i heard it even better than when i was sleeping and i woke up phil and i said do you do you hear something strange and his first reaction of course of course was to jump out of bed and be a he-man and he somebody's breaking in type thing yeah there he goes looking good to me it's a big owl [Applause] all right we're in route to meet with a complainant uh it's in reference to a domestic related incident the complaints advising uh he had a physical altercation with his girlfriend who he's been living with for 13 years are they coming up here yeah what car they driving do you know i think they're in like a little blue uh look kind of like a barrette or something like that okay but he's got a good scratch on his face she scratched him and i guess she popped the girl in the nose so what's up scott what's going on apparently his ex uh this gentleman's ex-girlfriend he had shown up at the apartment she left tuesday and she came back today gashed him in the face punched his friend in the nose a white female punched her in the nose and had threatened him with the knife but she was inside of another apartment when she did it they still live together now or up until a couple days ago she left tuesday so it appears to be domestic but uh this is them right there yeah that's him right there pulling in they think she may still be 1012. she's got a lot of history of resisting arrest with violence let me talk to him and see what he's got to say she hit her first and then she scratched my face stretched him right in the arm yeah i tried to try to grab her when i tried to grab her she was scratching right there she's scratching my arm yeah okay let's go and see if we can find her then well he's got injury to uh his right cheek where it's scratched he's got scratches on his arms and hands where he said she assaulted him if we can locate her and we'll do the investigation but in fact if there is a battery involved being a domestic nature we're going to place her under arrest for domestic battery eva come here this is our female suspect we're looking for right here go ahead and put your cigarette out you got anything on you any drugs no let me see take your hands out your pockets we got a condom up there what else you got that's all you got there put your hands on the car for me put your hands on the car let him leave the channel i need a woman to search me have a seat a sound plan yeah it's eva i can't get her handcuffed she's got her jackets on her hands and i'm trying to get her handcuffed with one arm i just wanted somebody else to get here so i could put her in your car once i got her handcuffed right now she's going to jail for domestic violence referendum a booking sheet we did up on her reference a battery she committed on her ex-boyfriend so she can be going to jail for the night they're familiar with her downtown it's not like she hadn't been there before i wanted to be a cop because my dad's been in law enforcement for 30 years i've tried other things in college majoring in law enforcement though seemed to be my thing so i stayed in it i enjoyed it growing up my dad you know always wore uniform i work in the same town he worked in so it you know kind of comes second nature to me we're going to a hit and run accident it sounds like and one of the drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident apparently left the scene one of the deputies was following him and got the tag of the car but he lost him so now we're going to run the tag and see if we can get an address back possibly in the area and then look for the car 3304 54 just 30 years old white male with a beer and signal too temple it's going to be 23 33 vincent so you know why we're here ronald then don't you god flipped my truck okay [Music] go ahead and keep your hands on top of your head was the same cars the first snap or burns twice why did you run i didn't run why did you walk away why did you get home so you just turn your truck over and then you decide to leave and leave your truck behind i wasn't driving back here who was driving your truck a buddy of mine well how come there's about 20 people back there that said they saw you driving it they're all lying they don't even know you always driving yeah yeah almost not driving like they're all saying that he was driving right i was on top of my truck where's your friend he went home you went home yeah okay all right well you're gonna come back to the accident scene with me so who's your buddy that was driving the car i don't think i'd tell you that you could oh yeah you do because you've committed a crime so far i committed crime yeah because we have a lot of people that are saying that you were driving that car okay and i kind of tend to believe then then rather you get them back to the car this way i'm gonna bring it back to the accident all right let's go just uh follow me because i don't have them handcuffed uh there's witnesses at the scene that that identified the guy who was driving looks like the florida highway patrol's already there apparently there was a truck that was going uh south on this road here and he might have hit the curb and then overturned the truck once she id's him we'll go ahead and bring him out and all of us all right yeah i'll see if he wants to cooperate we'll do our fsts and uh i think he will he kind of once he knew he got caught between two stories he kind of backed off and i think maybe sitting in the back of that car for a little bit will change his mind ron why don't we go ahead and hop on out of the car there for a second how you feeling all right okay what i need you to do is walk back walk between these two cars here and then walk up alongside the sidewalk behind my car here okay ron come on walk in between you just follow me no wait a minute i mean i'm not denying i've not been drinking i said i wasn't driving okay well this stephanie needs to leave and i don't want you standing out here in the middle of the road talk to him for just a minute and i just want to explain a few things you'll understand all right i want you to understand what's going on okay first of all the vehicle is registered to you yes hello okay number two is we've got a person who is an eyewitness who saw you crawling out of the vehicle no one else came out of the vehicle okay so we can't put you behind the wheel of that vehicle that'd be impossible let me explain let me explain okay right now what i want to do is explain i'm tripping for them okay i investigated the crash the crash investigation is over what i'm going to do now is begin a criminal investigation for dui okay i want to do some field sobriety tests if you refuse i have enough evidence against you to go ahead and place you under arrest regardless and charge you with leaving the scene of a crash and do you want if i left the scene because i was dazed and i i know if you listen you'll understand if you don't listen you won't understand what's going to happen okay it would be to your advantage to cooperate and do some field sobriety tests that way if you are not intoxicated i have to [Music] turn around put your hands behind your back you're under arrest what's happening right now is we did give you an opportunity to take a field sobriety test okay but i i told you i was drinking but i had a guy that wasn't drinking that was driving well no it's not going to work because we have witnesses saw you come out of the vehicle i know you were driving the vehicle you run you told us you were driving anyway you told me listen listen right now what he's going to do you've been placed under arrest for leaving the scene of a crash and dui that's what you've been charged with okay uh if you guys want to just keep the back door on the right passenger side it's open just put him in the back okay and you had your chance to walk away from this thing all you had to do was cooperate i was drinking buddy i mean i can't how can you walk away when you ain't drinking well that's not the question the question is is we're trying to we're trying to find out what your problem is lying to us yeah you told us you were driving now you're telling us you're not i told you i wasn't driving but i'm trying to tell you what okay what's gonna happen is from this point we have a seat i'm go ahead and have a seat what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna transport you to sarasota county jail from there i'm going to talk to you okay i got some things to go over with you if you have a question ask me okay i don't have a problem answering your questions but as far as you saying not if you're not driving the vehicle uh i was not behind the wheel okay well we'll talk about it when we get down there okay lying to the police man
