Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Okay, Tevesh Szat being hit by a rock was hilarious. Keeper of the Accord was really good, too, probably single-handedly helped her stay in the game with all the extra lands she got. Great match all around, can't wait for the Extra Turns, too.
rocks are no joke.
This game was super fun to watch! I legitimately had no idea who was going to win.
Moraug doesn't work the way they intended.
On Joe's turn he plays 2 lands on MP1 and then goes to combat.
The order is Bonus Combat 1, Bonus Combat 2, then Original Combat phase. Because of the ordering, he shouldn't be able to untap his creatures for the 3rd combat. The lands need to be played in MP2 for Moraug to work effectively.
Edit - It looks like they addressed this in the Youtube comments. This misplay probably does have an impact on the outcome and winner of the game.
This game is Exhibit A of why Rootweaver Druid is a trap and you shouldn't play it. Just play 3 mana ramp that doesn't give your opponents what they need to catch up and stop whatever you're going to do. Though in this instance it made the game more fun to watch so good choice from Joe.
There's so many interesting commanders in this set that I kind of wish that there were two episodes of game knights this time around. At the very least, it would have been nice to see at least 1 or 2 of the non-partners featured.
Did josh and joe both drop Alpha/Beta Taigas during this game? Definitely two black bordered duals on the battlefield...
I was surprised to see Rachel from Commander Sphere on there. They are relatively small/new I think. It's an awesome podcast for anyone who might be into that kind of thing!
Personally my favorite episode of all time.
