come right on in here and i want to tell you a little bit about this place come right over in this room all righty yeah if you want to all right you don't mind me filming you do you no no no i'm used to it now okay so i'm going to school for broadcasting and stuff you might as well get used to being on camera okay all right but this room here that you're staying in this is uh this is loretta's mom and dad's room here now about 90 percent of all the furniture we have in this house is all the original stuff um the bedroom suits and everything they were all bought right down there at that old company store did you guys stop there on your way up yeah we did well that's where water this furniture and stuff was bought out was right down there whenever it was a uh big time thing but now i have the swing and stuff right there that's the original front porch swing you sell on the front porch so the picture right there on the left of the swing that's loretta's mom and dad sitting in that very swing that picture was taken in 1952 uh ted and claire were their names and i'm named after him that's my great grandfather the guitar back here on the bed that we have is the first guitar that we're learning to play on now that guitar was uh was uh from uh her dad's uh youngest brother that's him right there he was a veteran of world war ii and now all the kids learn to play on that guitar growing up up through here they're all pretty musically talented uh i didn't i didn't wasn't able to ever get that musical town oh you can't get the jeans no i didn't get that all right but now all the people up here on the wall too are all our grandparents and great grandparents okay my great-grandmother's side they're rammies and blair's on my great-grandfather's side it was webs and butchers and that's what this holler was made up mostly of his webs and butchers and our family's name is webb that's what loretta's maiden name is okay loretta white there's a step up right here okay tj be careful this step okay okay in this room here this was the kitchen now everything in this room is all the original old stuff um the only thing that's not original is this big old thing right here this is a moonshine boiler is what this is okay i never would have been in the lab in the kitchen back then i'm sure my great-grandma wouldn't let that happen okay a couple other things in here uh that we have this old carbide lot right here like they wore on the coal miners helmets before they went down on the mines it's coal miners dinner bucket this is a black powder can sausage grinder and this here is a bee smoker and those are all just kind of things that they used every day live and this room over here was the dining room um now the this is the original dining room table that sat here and it had leaves and some other things and it was about the the full size of the room when they were living here and has about 10 or 12 chairs that went along with it and the end table over here and this washing machine that's sitting in the corner it's sitting on the back porch to that white door right back there okay and that washing machine now it actually had a gasoline motor on it oh yeah they brought electricity in the hauler that was around the 1950s you're selling that okay but you used to have to start that thing like a like a weed eater back then and i already don't like doing laundry enough i really wouldn't like doing it doing it then that's for sure yeah that fan feels good doesn't it yeah that's a nice that's a that's a good old-time fan right there it kicks the coldest window yeah there's a step another step down right here and this room here this was uh this was used as a guest room okay there's two bedrooms upstairs and that's where the children slept at there's room for the boys and one for the girls okay and uh in the winter time we got colder stuff though they could always bring mattresses down here and put them in front of the uh the fireplace but uh what you see here this is how they live okay and uh you guys can look around at all the pictures go back through and okay if you have any questions you can ask me or my grandpa all right and that stairs it's not open right no that's not that okay okay oh thank you sir you're very welcome it's nice for the clouds because it's not all that hot in here with clouds no it's not does it stay fairly cool up here most of the time it depends on what's up the hill the sun's hitting yeah it stays pretty cool in the shade up here but uh it's also really humid it's just so humid out here in kentucky it's not even funny yeah you can sit down here on the couch if you want to buddy you sit there woody yeah this couch is pretty pretty good solid couch yeah yeah today you're saying herman's your grandpa yes sir how old are you i'm thirteen thirteen you're about to probably start high school aren't you middle field middle school yeah he's actually already in middle school but yeah i think he's got two more years of middle school oh yeah uh he'll be in the seventh grade so i don't know when middle school stops and when high school starts it was different when i grew up yeah so my mom she said never middle school first sixth grade we started we had seventh ninth [Music] grade get a picture of y'all two together how about that tj keep you busy on the iphone aren't you yeah yeah all right he's got the iphone there all okay i'm just going to go back through one more time make sure i got everything awesome yeah you get pretty good perception up here yeah i get pretty good reception i like the local carriers though so it's happened tomorrow a little bit better than some of the yeah it gets a lot better like atp and stuff them and verizon are pretty much the same thing this is a small sub company in verizon so we we have a pretty good signal if you have applause from verizon okay yeah he's got we've got verizon on that one yeah i mean it's pretty good oh you like the fan don't you yeah yeah that's one thing about me i like to stand in front of a fan and get demand sometimes yeah that's one of my things that i like [Applause] is um yeah but this room you're standing in here this was loretta's mom and dad's room right here um this is uh original old house and everything uh about all the furniture in the house ninety percent of us all the original stuff and uh about all of us bought in that old store down there so uh it's pretty interesting i think a lot of furniture and stuff came from there but the swing we have over here that's the original old front porcelain just hanging out there no front porch that's loretta's mom and dad ted and clara sitting in the swing and i'm actually named after him that's my great grandfather my name is the guitar over there on the beds the first gift partner we wanted to play on it was pretty well the family guitar they all all the kids learned to play on the third eight children all together so there are ten people who live in this house i don't know living here the pictures up there on the wall of all these people these are all grandparents and great-grandparents on uh loretta's mother's side ramies and blood are for us [Applause] and butchers and uh that's how this hauler got his name butcher hall and now uh they may not want this shot but go ahead and get the picture of the walk why it is okay [Music] yeah okay all right did you get a picture of the lock no no because opening it all right all right you
