Nice to see this video trend again. This is my wife. Ask her anything!
Donβt believe me? See my history. Lol
Side note we are opening our first restaurant in Houston in a few weeks called The Blind Goat. www.theblindgoat.com
Edit: Thank you for the gold π kind stranger.
For those curious, she was in a video with Tommy Edison, the Blind Film Critic. She lost her vision when she was around the age of 18, as I recall, due to a disease. edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiG97xFPJvo
She (Christine HΓ ) eventually went on to win the whole master chef competition. In addition to the $250K, she was awarded a publishing of her own cookbook and even showed up as a guest judge in the next season.link here
Can you imagine how twisted it would have been if after all that build up he says "...and the flavour, it's" and then just spews it out and shouts "IT"S FUCKING RAW!".
Oh my God, can you imagine bringing your dish up to a chef known for his verbal brutality, and not even knowing how it looks? You believe it looks terrible, you did so poorly, he'll tear you apart, and then he goes and says the nicest things about it, demonstrating just how well you've done... I couldn't handle those emotions, dude, my heart would explode
I cannot fathom trying to cook blind. That would being like trying to walk down the street blind.
Baking blind would be like trying to cross Manhattan blind. Baking is so much harder than cooking.
Thatβs astounding.
Gordon gets such a bad rap for being such a dick. And he certainly can be. But theres also real moments that you can see just how much he cares about people who really are passionate about cooking.
I never expected to cry over an Apple pie, but here we are.
Is it just me that would have found it funny if he said...."and the flavor, its fucking awful"
