what's up y'all this is Preston Perry and this is both TV where we live in love truth Thank You opportunity in just like I promised you guys I'm going to start doing more evangelism video so we going on the streets talking to people and sometimes these conversations get heat it sometimes it's just really calm they're just a different range of conversations on this particular video we talked to a guy named Trayvon and the conversation was very interesting Trayvon is a gay right activist he's also a homosexual man who practices Buddhism and Yoruba as its religion my aim for this video is to show you guys how to navigate a hard conversation on the streets without offending people but kind of disarming them in a way to not make them so offended but at the same time giving them truth with love and boldness so throughout this video I'm gonna interject throughout the video to give what context to explain and expound on some things that might be confusing hopefully you enjoy it this is straight line right here Trayvon as part of the Human Rights Campaign key like explain with the Human Rights Campaign ian's um so the Human Rights Campaign is basically a nonprofit organization we like to cause of LGBT civil rights group where we go around and we basically do code activism hydrophone where we do activism where we can we canvass around Atlanta and canvas to get people to get involved with the LGBT politics and rights it's very important because if we live in a society today where our current administration is sending a very very scary tone so we have to try to make sure that as is canvassers we push those who follow that equality act build and return you have to make the public aware of the awareness we filled that everyone to have equal rights so yeah I'm a I'm a creative director of fashion salads and social on this this is some questions I'm gonna actually go quiet even get it sir the question I want to actually let you know that I'm a Christian okay I'm a believer and my wife she just actually released the book called gay girl good guy Wow and my wife was in the homosexual lifestyle for years I've learned a lot about a lot from my wife about the homosexual community about the LGBTQ community and I've learned how to actively engage one of the things that I can respect what you do is that you're standing up for the rights of people who are the homosexual lifestyle you know enough I saw a video Facebook a couple of weeks back it was its pastor he was on stage and he was preaching and he he stopped his sermon and I guess it was a transgender man in his congregation and he stopped his sermon and he said young man young man you have to get out of here he was like nobody can come to my coming come to my church dressed like a woman if you're gonna be a man be a man and he embarrassed him and shamed him in front of the whole congregation and a man ended up leaving and I my heart just hurts for him and I think I think one of the great things that you guys are doing is you guys are standing up for the rights of people not to be mistreated and not to be you know talked about or look down right because the Bible teaches us that we are all created in the image of God right black white gay straight Christian and non-christian right we're all created in the imago Dei then they're in the in the image of God so we're image bears so I think that you know homosexuals being kicked off of campuses because of their sexual orientation or kicked out of their schools or some homosexual rules are not even allowed some rent or buy and certain neighborhoods I don't know if you knew that yeah no no we actually know that well which one of the funny thing that we're canvassing about is that's what the Equality Act build with house because currency in 28 states people are at risk to be in prior or losing their homes just for being this and game so if I've actually met somebody where that has happened to do and it continuously happens every single day and mostly the southern region of the United States that's sad yeah that's really saying are you are you a gay man I am a gay man okay I'm not a Christian my my belief is Buddhism and yoga but what's basically your BA is a African spirituality culture mostly practiced in Nigeria I don't consider you proud because I believe in the Nigeria aspect of the culture so if you ever heard like the Arisa in Nigeria yeah have you ever friends yeah so and then I've but mainly I was bullets for like eight years but originally my family are bastards I just sort of kind of stood on my own spirituality path like when I was at a very early age so for me I understand religion at all half them but I've never really liked you know so from the so from the Christian worldview he's issued since you say you understand religion from all assets on the mission yeah do from the Christian worldview how do you view how God looks at homosexuality oh that's always been such a difficult situation because in the sense iesous be part of like a member Missionary Baptist Church and I had got baptized there and one of the Deacons basically told me that at the time I had like four or five inches of hair like a like a like a kid came and play like Piper head and he told me basically that I mentioned honestly we're here and then it just went on from there he was sort of kind of like disrespect for making fun of me and then sort of kind of like bring up the whole dollar from my lifestyle being homosexual was the funny thing is that I never even announced my sexuality in church I was always been a private individual so I never really shared people a lot about myself personally unless they asked yeah so mostly in a sense have you I feel I got this looked at all his shoots with the peasant and college students equal yeah I would believe he's supposed to so you know you believe do you believe that there's only one guy I believe there are many spirits we can't differentiate we I believe that we can't create a look of what he actually looks like because we don't necessarily know how it looks like however in the Bible it does tell about what Jesus actually but attitudes were uh well um so this is what we believe from the Christian borough view we believe that Jesus is God in the flesh yeah that he is heated with the father yeah and that he has certain things that he require of its people so from the Christian worldview we believe that we are all made in the image of God so have no rights to not treat you with dignity and respect but we also believe that God has a moral standard that he calls people to uphold right to turn from their sin and turn from their rebellion right because man has fallen away from God's grace right that's seen in rebellion and to turn to him the only one who can keep us righteous holy that's where you know Christians believe the Bible says - all have fallen right so that we've all kind of missed the mark of God's perfection but at the same time God is still calling all goals to turn from their sin and to put that hope and trust in him and when we see what would you say to someone who say that when God created man and woman he did not create man and woman to be in a homosexual lifestyle what would you say have a different perspective of it just because of man my religion was just the start of a Buddhism innocence we never really focus on the person aspect of their lifestyle we call the common to concentrate on peace harmony as sort of kind of like disconnecting was you know because there's a lot of you don't know it's like four different versions of Buddhism so like everyone thinks that you know we're phasing Buddha himself but there's like four different and so my aspect was moreso connecting with nature which nature the sound and the spirit and the way that we function in life was the spirit so we never I never really had to with someone when someone takes it upon himself to tell me that I normally just tell them that I don't never have a like a a straight-up answer I just thought it kind of just let people believe that what they believe it because you do have a right but my own perspective when it comes to that as normally is this one do your research and then to believe in what you wanted to believe or believe in the fact that there shouldn't always be a rulebook to teach people how to be people because everybody has a different life story regardless of what their belief and I just try to respect people in the time the matter like if you want to be you know early about races that's what your heart desires to be racist or if you want to be a strict Christian be that that's what's your beliefs are but everybody has a different path in life and people have to respect that so question for you okay so you said you believe early you say you believe in one guy yeah yeah so do you believe that Buddha is the true in the Living God no no the zenith with me Buddhism was more sort of a spiritual practice rather than a astral conform it real is it so my question for you is who do you who do you believe the true the Living God is what do you believe the truck is loud yeah what do you believe the true and living God to be so when I act straight on hoody he believed that true in the Living God is and he said ourselves one of the things I wanted to do is I want to show Trayvon his era without accusing him and I did so by acting him a series of questions even if we look in the Bible we see that Jesus always acts questions when he approached people who were sinners or who lived in sin he never accused them of anything but what he did was he asked questions that he already knew the answer to and those questions help reveal the error in people's hearts so that's what I attempted to do I tried to give him dignity and respect by not accusing him of being sinful or being a hypocrite but I also ask some questions so he can come to his own conclusion about his own heart so check it out so will you say ourselves you mean that I can be my own God so it's where is where in many cases is what they get over torture activities and the what that quarter what I learned from that particular religion is that was actually one of the oldest religions in the world but for me I come from learning about this African culture in general so just when it comes to like black people in general I've always tried to make sure like where's our roots come from and so what univer basically taught me is the identity of who we are before anything else ever exists who was the first Homo Sapien and that's sort of kind of like whoever the first Homo sapiens are the ones that have created a path for Humanity to be the way that they are today so I've always had that's what they teach in Yoruba in a sense and I just always had that particular belief in general and with that aspect God is within ourselves not necessarily within one identity of a person so this is a question and not I hope this question doesn't seem confusing or whatever right so essentially what you are is a gay right activist she was supposed to say that you're gay right activist but you also believe essentially that we are our own gods right so you believe that man creates its own standard and and and when man creates his own standard we have no right to argue against that standard we shoot well and more so I felt like we should respect other standard so so it innit so in the sense like like I said that I don't I was justified it for what their religion is because I believe that our religion at all it goes up to one answer so so my question to you is I was trying to get to a point so if you are if if one hand on one hand that you're gay right activist and on the other hand you believe that you know all men are they learn God who create their own standard how is it how is it how are you able to then argue against the person who disagrees with homosexuality well his standard that homosexuality is wrong goes against your standard like like when did you start to define who's wrong and who's not when you just said that everybody off is their own God likewise why's the guy who disagrees with homosexuality wrong for disagreeing with you when he is his own God who has his own standard that you can't argue against innocence well nothing is the wrong a right answer I just want to be very clear with that nothing is wrong a right so I think that's one of the reasons why I never really are rather of days that publicized hours that's thing that's yeah and I have a thought I just want to quickly say it but well I get it when I when I say argue I'm not I don't mean right no no no I physically argue but like when you out here when you out here with the Human Rights Campaign jacket on or whatever what you're essentially doing is its presenting their argument you're presenting the case for why it's wrong for people to to come again to those who are in the LGBTQ community crying right yeah you're presenting the argument so my question is is how is that argument able to be presented when you just said every man is their own God and we have we have no right to tell them person who's wrong like what's wrong with him with his worldview this would be agreeing with your worldview but he's his own God and your yo I guess is just disbelief that I have in and just and I guess the way to view it in a sense I'm trying to get it out in a different way because my partner would be the first really clarify this more than I am Oh whoa this is this is this is what I would say is that I think deep down Assad that every single human being knows that they are created in the image of God right in my opinion I would tell everybody that for those who don't believe in the God of the Holy Bible is that we all deep down inside our conscious bear will witness so to the fact that we are created by by a holy and a righteous God and because of that we deserve dignity right but at the same time we deny him because the lifestyle that he wants we want to live so the reason why you're out here is because you know that that there's somebody dish treating somebody who's gay or in the homosexual lifestyle but not letting him work at a particular job not letting them go to a particular church that's wrong and the reason why you know it's wrong it's because you like we know that we were created by the true in the Living God and the God of the Bible the God in the Bible teaches us that we will we were created in the image of God and because we were created an image of God we deserve dignity right because we were created in an image of in the image of a great and a holy God but what some people do is they do not the existence of God but still want to be treated like they were created in the image of God does that make sense on that particular I mean yes so when I say that people are their own identity of God that doesn't necessarily mean and I'm telling people telling them they themselves from the image of God is what you feel is your own image of who God is yeah and that's basically what I'm trying to say let me actually if there is only one God all right we are not you know our own gods don't you think God has a particular standard for all of his people like if he's the creator and we are the creation don't you think that yeah if he's created and we are the creation don't you think that he has a standard for his creation and if we are and if we are operating as our own gods do you think that would be a problem with the God who actually created us well I do believe that he may have a standard for all of his people but in many cases from what I've learned about the Holy Bible the Bible is created from from from method from God so if you if you do some research you will see that the Bible has existed way before the 1500s right the Old Testament right was we have we have actual documentation like Scrolls and so much literature and predates you know over two thousand years ago that the men of the Bible you know who was inspired by God's right to by who throw it away before the 1500s or whatever so that's documentation you can go on internet or you know and look it up like the action actually the first Christian nation was Ethiopia like in five in the fifth century so if you have all of these belief systems all of these religions in the world I think the thing that separates Christianity apart from Buddhism or Hinduism or the Jehovah's Witness religion to a Muslim religion right is that you have all of these religions built on a certain set of teachings meaning that if you take Buddha out of Buddhism you still have a religion right because budem Buddhism was built on these particular practices absolutely it's more of a spiritual spiritual practice even Jawas witnesses that if you take the man who created the trial was witnesses Charles taze Russell out of the Jehovah's Witness doctrine you still have a religion built on a certain second seat if you take Mohammad out of the Muslim faith you still have a religion built on a certain set of teachers and so forth and so on right if you take Joseph Smith out of the Mormon religion you still have a religion built on a certain set of teachers you still have a guideline to follow but if you take Chris she did you take Christ out of Christianity you look you no longer have nothing right and the reason why is because Christianity was built on one man's lifestyle and this man Jesus Christ he came to live a life that we could live on our own and he came to die death that we can die on our own because we have fallen short of the glory of God and because we became enemies of God because of our sin of rebellion God sent His Son Jesus who knew no sin the Bible says that he who knew no sin became sin so he became the things that like literally God hates well now you have to die for us and it was built on his lifestyle from the old and to the New Testament it's Jesus right and it's the for coming of Jesus and it's Jesus here on earth right and what he did what and how he died and how he rolls right and Jesus is called all men to turn from their sin and turn from the thing that has separated them from God which is their sin and to put their trust in Him who is able to save us from our sin so this is the reason why Christianity is not merely a religion right but God is calling us to have a heart change he's calling us to have a lifestyle that only he by His grace can grant us which is salvation right so that's one of the things that I would love to with all due respect and love like challenge you in on is to research Christianity and research Christ and know yeah I think a lot of times when we think about Jesus we we go off what other people have told us but the Bible tells us that if we if we if we want to know him like seek Him and we will find him and if you really want to if you really believe that truth is not subjective right that troop is not whatever we make it to be you should seek the truth I is the truth important to you like I feel like you can learn everything from our other business I mean one thing I definitely take away the belief that I really really had for well what Buddhism actually like taught me was a part of something that Christianity couldn't teach me in the aspects of something that was going on in my life of what I was dealing with but but in a sense danger Nova just really really with the background of my family history and just the background of my lifestyle that's what turned me into that in particular but I've just I've always been understanding of the trishing out of your fitting I mean because that's what was always taught in that house but here's the thing that you might not agree with okay here's the thing that you might not agree with it the reason why I say that Christianity is the best best best thing out there for you right it's because I believe Jesus is the God that created you right and it's it's it's it's me it's nothing like learning what God has for your life from the true the Living God who created me so we might have good practice some of these religions might have good practices and that's not my my argument and the reason why I believe that a lot of these religions have good practices is because they all borrow from the Christian review so I want to explain what I mean when I say that all other religions involved from the Christian worldview now this might be alarming to some people who practice Buddhism which was founded in the 6th century some can say that this religion was founded way before Christ came and way before the New Testament was even written right but what I was essentially trying to explain is that Christ is the God of the Bible Christ is he turn so you cannot have Christianity without Christ because like I explained earlier in the video that you can have Buddha and you can have the teachings of Buddha and you could take Buddha out of Buddhist I mean you can still have a religion built on a certain set of teachings but if you take Christ out of Christianity you no longer have anything why because jesus is the one an eternal God he's always existed he doesn't have an ending right so even though some of these religions my free day when the Bible was actually written Jesus predates every religion that ever existed why because He is God in the flesh so that's what I meant when I said that all religion is brought in the Christian worldview because they all bought from God Jesus is God Buddhism bought a lot of their practices from the Christian worldview right even Hinduism and and the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons they all borrow from the Christian worldview but they distort the message and and I tell you this out of love I'm not saying that you having you know gained you know great you know practices from the you know the Buddhist faith or whatever from Buddhism but they all borrow from the Christian worldview and now as a man who who is not trying to you know disrespect you would not try to give you dignity who loves you with the love of Christ right I'm not trying to you know come against everything that you learned but at the same time I want you to not settle for a carbon copy of what God has for you right there's only one God truth it's not subjective right there's only one God which means there is only one truth there's only one God who created you and that God knows what's best for you more than any other religion that she will practice which is Buddhism right the God of the Bible Jesus the Bible says that all things were created by him and for him right so that you were created in the image of God and God is calling you to turn from everything that you think is right and seek Him who created you right and if God does have a standard of righteousness that we all fall short of how do you think God will respond to you the day you meet him like this if God does have a standard and you have not necessarily ignored that standard but disregarded that standard in some ways how do you think the God of the Bible if he did create you how do you think he will embrace you in the end if he has a standard that you have not lived up soon I mean how would a brace you at the end basically what many pastors always saying give you a thing and and if you believe in the Holy Ghost and the spirituality of Jesus Christ in many cases the to give you a thing you know ya then or you you start to crack you start to really just honor him and with our glory well when I say when I say meet him I mean like when when we die okay we died not meet him if we meet him while we're on this earth like truly you know get acquainted with Jesus I believe that's when salvation takes because Christianity is not behavior moderation but what it is it's a heart change so it's impossible for us to meet God here on this earth when I mean not physically meeting on position but the truly know him and the partner of our sins and I heart not be changed but I what happens if your heart has not changed and you die in this rebellious state or in this state of not acknowledging the true God who created you what do you think God will will say I would so like he will forgive all control I just always thought that way it's not a thing I can't change my mind on that because of that just in general that that's just that's just from learning from life bring aunts and grandmothers who's been in the church for years yeah you know they've always told me that in general so they always had a different aspect rather than what a regular person would have aspect or who who would know the answer to that particular question what I like to think of homosexuality is is a branch on the century it's not the whole tree right and God has beef with all of the branches on this century right the scripture says this scripture says yeah thieves walkers people who are greedy right none of these people right will inherit the kingdom of God so this shows us that God has a standard right for all people not just those who are in the homosexual lifestyle and so when you say that God will forgive us when you say that God will be down in our sin if we died in our rebellion against him because he's a he's a he's a he's a good god or he's a loving God and he will forgive us for our sins that's not what the Bible says the Bible says is that he's called a man to repent here on earth right to turn from our sin before we die right so that when he meet us he will not meet us as judge only but he will meet us as father that we will that we will see him as a loving father who he has embraced here because we have turned from my sin and put our hope and our trust in him so what I want you to understand is that God is calling you to turn from your sin here he's calling you to turn from your sin turn away from all the things that he hates and not necessarily change herself because I was a sinner I mean I did everything for me from drugs selling drugs the gang banging - fighting - stealing and I'm saying I did all of it and my sin deserved the same amount of death that just sin does and if God is a good and a holy and a righteous god he has to judge all sin right just like a good judge here on earth he wouldn't be a good judge if he did judge those who commit crimes we would consider him a very bad judge right right and the same thing with God God's judgment of sin is love because he would not be a perfect God of justice if he didn't judge the things that he hates and I'm saying so my only my only my only challenge to you is is to seek the god of the Scriptures and what he has for your life and because God is good god is calling you to turn from all the things that will destroy you and to turn so the only one who was perfect who loves you right and he's called to the turn perfect that same which the whole a lot of trucks and to put your home and what he did for you on the cross right because one day we will all meet him the Bible says that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is - glory to God the Father right some will meet him as judge and some will meet him as friend and my heart for you is for you to meet him as friend but you would not meet God one day when you dies friend if you do not turn from the things that he hates and God said that not only does he hate the thief not only does against the sin of the murderer of the adulterer of the fornicator but also the homosexual and when not here Christians just preaching against homosexuality preaching against all those things that God hates so just think about that that that the god of the Scriptures is the one and the true and the Living God is not Buddha right and I would challenge you just to read the Bible if you if you can accept this one challenge for me to go home if you don't have a Bible I can I can text you okay so this if you if you really want to know truth to go home it's a read the book of Galatians and re Romans read these scriptures and I can't even text you some some some particular scriptures that you can read that will help you and you can wrestle through and yeah just challenge yourself with those scriptures in this you don't feel challenged and if you pray and ask God to like give you you know wisdom and what these things mean like if you don't feel challenged walk away from it but I believe God will speak to your heart that cool thank you for talking to me man yeah thank you for your honesty and I pray that everything all right god bless you man
