CHILL Animal Crossing New Horizons Let's Play

hello thank you for joining me on my inaugural Channel video and welcome to an attempt at and I very much main attempt at a calming relaxing let's play of Animal Crossing I am still very much an amateur gamer okay future me interrupting past me to say I am not only an amateur gamer but an amateur content creator because I never even introduced myself uh my name is Renee Dobbs you can call me Dobby all right back to the video it's been almost a year since I played this game and then last week I had just a lot of unpleasant things hit at once and one of my friends recommended Animal Crossing over the past 12 months I was kind of neglected um and when I hopped back on last week I really haven't stopped I haven't stopped playing it's been so nice to have something that's distracting and simple uh well as simple as Animal Crossing can be to do just while I'm I'm de-stressing and and keeping my mind from ruminating on things that you know is probably best not to ruminate on so now that I'm fully in the swing of things again it's time to make some progress with the island because it needs the progress I mean it's it's been a year very delayed and I need to bond with my villagers I've only ever gotten two villager photos and I have I've I have all ten oh no I did not mean to pick those flowers have all 10 slots filled so I should have more than two photos and one of those photos is from a past villager oh my gosh do you think I can catch that butterfly that's stuck under there hang on oh no we're very bad at catching things oh we're really bad at catching things oh my gosh we're just the worst you should see me fish it's it's entertaining to say the least uh okay anyway time to make some progress with my villagers my Island all my missing DIYs and catalog items I just haven't gotten uh because I haven't played it's the update since the happy home Paradise update and I do have it I do have happy home paradise and I have I think 21s spots built pretty sure that's probably one of my second favorite things about this game is interior design even though I'm not great at it there's something relaxing about moving furniture around that just sounds silly that just sounds really silly oh okay the dry roids oh my gosh as you saw at the very beginning the gyroids are my newest Obsession in this game because they dance and they dance to music it's great just for the sake of of seeing them again and the Delight it brings me to to watch their little band it's just great it's just great let's go behind so we can actually see and listen to them oh no well the one on the end you can still see [Music] the song I'm playing now is uh what was it oh gosh what was it wait that's my favorite part okay what song was I playing oh yes agent KK so good oh oh well it's fine [Music] [Music] oh it's great I actually I don't think I've listened to this one yet laughs oh they're just delightful oh they're just great and now that I have two new ones I can go customize them for the theme oh my gosh another one hahaha perfect the band expands I have these two over here because they're already represented in that little band over there I thought you know it was kind of boring over here because even though I have more experience with the interior design of animal crossing my exterior design is still sparse and random all right now that we're in nook's cranny time to get some customization kits and I'm gonna need it for my shovel because I've used it so much I really wish you could just type in the quantity you need like how many would you like 10. okay bulk discount six thousand uh was that enough I think that was enough I was half we're just we're just gonna assume that was enough oh wait what was that what was that I think that was it oh yep I saw this coming I saw this coming because I just can't stop I can't be stopped [Music] expect I suspect once you experience life and their presence you'll find it hard to resist hunting for more and if that isn't the truth for me absolutely I it's too much let's sell some stuff real fast actually clear some slots okay it's probably going to be like a 2000. whoa okay pleasantly surprised [Music] all right here we go I can't wait to see what oh Marlo oh my gosh I love Marlo oh my gosh he's he's my personality in real life oh goodness this sounds like an anime oh now we get to the dad joke oh my gosh the dad jokes from the are they the crankies oh the dad jokes they never end as long as we can get white green or black in the colors that would be perfect yep awesome okay who's next I don't think I have this one oh I love him I I'm I love oh yep it's gotta be black okay one more I think that was one I don't have either in my little band oh oh oh what color to choose though it's probably gonna yeah it's gonna be black and then something I wish I knew so long ago was that customizing your tools starts their life over so that you don't have to go buy 2500 Bells worth of a shovel you just get a 500 Bell customization kit and it's the same as replacing your shovel because the the count starts over I wish I knew that I probably would have saved well I would have saved two thousand Bells every day [Music] oh that's Dobby's house Dobby is my favorite villager because we have the same name Dobby and Dobby though people tell me that his name is Dobby or that he pronounces Adobe no we're gonna pretend it's Dobby because then it would be perfect [Music] I should have a money tree somewhere else that's available for plucking [Music] I don't remember where I planted it no clue at all I don't want to plant this up here there's no space gotta get rid of all these flowers I have so many random flowers that sprout and it's just not I like overgrown but I like spacious overgrown and you would think that just cancels the other one out that sounds like an oxymoron but when there is space between them it just feels better it's just nicer in my opinion for my very particular thinking when stuff is spaced out so when it's right next to other things oh I don't like it I don't like it for me I don't like it for me yeah and I know you can make a custom design I think of one pixel of color and then just put it around all the flowers to where they don't spread and I would do that if it didn't sound so tedious I don't know why I'm going this direction through all the all the flowers although it would save me a lot of time so I don't know why I don't just do it [Music] yeah especially right here this this is a lot oh Marlo I need to pick this no sir thank you oh no ah see you around okay bye buddy I really need to pick those oh no I'm gonna end up kicking dirt on him yep yep I don't know why they never react to that it would be really funny if they did but also really sad because I'd be doing it all the time oh no Apollo watch him ask me to leave [Music] momentum no he's gonna ask me to buy it doesn't he or give it to me even better re-gifting is always an option for sure I definitely do that with other villagers I give them things that other ones have given me they don't know oh but one time I gave Dobby something he had given me but it wasn't the exact same thing it was just the name of the item was the same and he told me this looks familiar like he knew he knew he had given it to me before and I was re-gifting it back to him without realizing it and it was a rotary phone a lot of flowers to clean up up here I'm gonna have to customize this shovel again oh no oh no [Music] oh no another thing was carrying around a trash can that was something I wish I had known at the very beginning so you could just make space for things that don't sell well in the in the cranny we'll just well we'll drop the trash can and go sell this stuff I don't know why I thought oh running with the shovel is dangerous it's a game I am almost done with picking all the flowers I'm going to try to catch this fish knowing I'm really not good at this okay [Music] I should have known and I watch videos of people who do this and it's always a bass and I I know that I should just pick it up and move it over but I'm stubborn I'm just gonna let it sit here until it turns back around yep foreign [Applause] carps like 200 Bells I just I this is whatever it's fine yeah I knew I had a money tree [Music] and I'd chop the tree treats I don't need it anymore all right I'm gonna see if I can just make do with that so that I'm not picking flowers for an hour if I find something else that's just annoying me then I'll I'll go sell it okay I think he has a yep I knew it I could see him doing that if he asks to move oh okay oh I was scared I love when it sounds like an egg breaking all right what does this even look like Marshall what did you give me that's not bad actually you know what that is not bad not bad at all that looks really comfy actually goes with the shoes too speaking of let's see what's at the April sisters I can't run in a straight line it must be because I'm still very new to Animal Crossing but why can't you ever buy the the item that's in the window I've seen such adorable things in the window and yet you you go inside and it's not one of the options you just you can't buy it is it something you can eventually buy or is all of that just for show it's what a waste [Music] I already see something I want yep yep [Music] and it's cheap oh yes this too [Music] I have other colors of this but do I need all colors of it I don't think I need every color of it oh the blacks would match if it would just match that doesn't even match it's fine it is perfectly fine oh I really like how that looks Green's my favorite color so I might just go with the green one there are different colors oh yep we're gonna have to come back we're gonna have to get more stuff just why oh boy oh we're buying those I have to get another dress different color the green one or the blue one that's the green one of course of course why did I think other ones wonderful that's it I'm done she always says the same things but I learned that if you talk to stable Sable every day you get you eventually get all of her designs awesome it's just why do they follow you around the store the cranny boys follow you around the store hang on didn't I just wait did I oh I had two Money Trees no way no way oh I'm gonna have to pick that flower just in case because I've also seen money just disappear into flowers and if that's not just extreme sadness I don't know what is it shouldn't land here so it should be safe if it falls in there I'm rage quitting even though I said this was going to be a very calming and relaxing let's play I said no more flowers but look at it just sitting there it needs to go not that one well fine that's fine I'm still running with a shovel Dangerously I like to take risks you know oh my gosh look at stitches in the background that was cute oh that's cute he's practicing his Ninja Run [Music] because I I picked up my trash can I did I did I'm very forgetful yeah yeah thank you [Music] it's funny how this is still steaming you know after all day do you think it's an unofficial game of tag because they stopped as soon as they get to you foreign okay let's go get these fossils assessed wait how many do I have I have three I can't remember if you get five in a day or six in the day but it's definitely not three I am I am missing some must be some part of my Island I have completely forgotten about checking I would not be surprised I always hate interrupting his sleep he just looks so comfy nope there we go okay I have completed my fossil Museum as of last week it is completely done and he gave me a poster now that's an option and last few days I made him a vacation home so we are even no I didn't mean to sit there I meant to plant and to put these guys here because I've completely run out of space in the band area it's really unfortunate [Music] oh no wait oh there we go oh they're all black I didn't realize that [Laughter] wonderful just wonderful I haven't shown you the absolutely ugly partest partest thank you dyslexia I haven't shown you the ugliest part of my Island yet oh my gosh almost ran under okay sorry Diana ugliest part of my Island coming right up because you totally asked for it all my flowers are white flowers except for Dobby's area they're all black but those aren't the only flowers that I have because I have in it yet this is the whole area I forgot about I knew it I was forgetting some part of my Island it was right here it was beau's house area okay here are all of my hybrid flowers that I plucked and sold because I needed the Bells and flowers don't grow on beaches so I have no idea what colors they are unless I uproot them but I have no idea where to plant them no clue whatsoever what this is such a basic DIY I don't know why I'm getting that still why am I getting that stuff I don't know why I caught that I kind of don't want to catch that [Music] oh Marlo I used to think that he came in the Sanrio bundle but I don't think he did I think he's just series weight did you just water those super dead plants thank you um that's not gonna help them they're doomed they're stunted they're not growing okay you are worth something I'm pretty sure yeah found a sunset moth the middle of the day I found one more fossil still a missing one I'm still missing one [Music] I wonder what Dotty's up to up there I see him [Music] I know this is just riveting gameplay it's really just hardcore gaming right here just uprooting flowers selling them and catching a bug or two hang on this has to be this has to be the money Rock [Music] all right nope it's not that's unfortunate [Music] as soon as I jinx myself saying that I know which rock is the money Rock it's just not it's just not two times now foreign let me try try to see if that one is the one [Music] what's that did I even okay okay all right we are back had to stop recording because it got so loud in here so now we're back and we're playing again it's a whole different day it's May the 5th and it's 3 33. on a Friday perfect timing and it looks like red is visiting I can tell because Isabelle is about to tell me to not buy anything from him or to not trust him at the very least [Music] YouTube I had just completed Red's uh Little Shack on wow it is really raining I had just completed his like pop-up shop on Harv's Island and at first it told me that it was you know the spot of a legitimate art dealer so here I'm thinking oh I'm about to donate and complete this pop-up shop that's going to be for red and maybe on the island he will only sell legitimate art because it told me the gyroid told me that the spot was made for a legitimate art dealer and then I bought a fake I bought my first fake and yes I got an achievement for buying a fake but it still felt palpably embarrassing because I tried to go sell it not realizing that you can't sell them ah anyway now I am very Vigilant just like Isabelle told me to be so here's the the the legitimate piece of art that I bought I still felt so swindled it was really hard to get over that I swore I wouldn't buy anything from Red for like a month and then I ended up buying stuff from Red because I do want to finish the museum that's the only part of the museum I haven't while I haven't finished the aquarium and the the bug Conservatory I don't really know what it's called but I haven't finished that part yet since the the deep sea and the seasonal bugs just haven't gotten to them yet that's the only reason I still buy from Red I don't even think I would keep fake art because it would just feel and oh no I didn't mean to do that I was just trying to pick up a stick oh that's sad like I know it's a game but having fake art like forgeries on display would just make me uncomfortable so I'd rather not I know that you can use the customization packs to basically reset the number of times you can use your tools but there's something about that I don't know if it's my ADHD but I I just don't wanna seems like extra work instead of just buying a new one it would save Me 2 000 Bells and I'm like I could go catch a few fish and there's the 2000 Bells although I'm really bad at catching fish it's it's laughable how bad I am that's not on this level it has been so loud lately where I live because it's the end of the financial quarter so all of these companies are are doing construction because they now have the budget to do construction and so it is it is just everywhere and it's so loud and it's so claustrophobic so if you hear something in the background it's hammers it's a lot of hammers foreign is that I hear it but I don't see it oh wow that was moving very slow [Music] I'm gonna go grab that weed I saw otherwise I will forget about it you get this one over here starting to consider getting the single Pixel Custom Design just so I can stop uprooting flowers every day yep I saw that coming yep I knew it I knew it I knew it okay can I catch this before it goes in the water we'll see probably not it's oh it's still gonna go in the water oh no oh this was a terrible idea oh it didn't want to be clay it's always clay that's interesting because isn't the blue supposed to be like aren't the blue balloons supposed to be material one time I popped a blue balloon and it gave me gold and that was that was awesome oh Apollo you know Apollo I like you but sometimes you just you're just a little boring and I I don't hate you but I am I'm bored by you even Poppy's like who is this guy look at her frowning face and then she's like oh well are they gonna have a conversation start talking start talking yes okay here we go I feel like I have definitely heard this conversation more than any other conversation oh my gosh the fact that Apollo after I said he was boring said he had nothing to write home about that that was a self-fulfilling prophecy for sure no Apollo no it's not a good start it's because he has nothing going for him oh boy now Apollo do I do I keep you on my island or do I kick you out he doesn't even stitches is like who is this guy do I even like him I know stitches I don't think we like him very much there's nothing wrong with him it's just there's nothing really to write home about literally terrible joke I'm so sorry okay the almost borderline morning attire that I'm seeing on Diana tonight is is just feeding me so much joy look at this like the black rose detail on the sleeve and on the umbrella oh my gosh if she had a black hat on that would just that would be the best [Music] that's okay Diana that happens to me almost every single hour of the day [Music] still adore you what is in the cranny today is this they're gonna tell me what it is and I'm still gonna think that's no way what is this an amazing machine of course it is yep that's that checks out this amazing machine is 140 000 Bells that's as much as opening a pop-up shop on Harv's Island why would I that's more than that oh no no I don't even have the funds for that no oh my gosh no there's honest I did pluck all of my black flowers and sell them for a lot of bells I don't know what would happen if you sold a lily of the valley [Music] 755 bills that's fine needs I need to shovel [Music] because it is getting very loud okay even though it's still loud I thought it was best to start recording again because Apollo is now chasing me around I think he's trying to suck up to me because I so we're just gonna we're just gonna pause and continue this after I've done this okay now that we're done with that we can sell them and then go on a shopping spree at the able sister store so long as they have good stuff a lot of the times lately it's been stuff that I'm just not super interested in I don't know how often it gets refreshed if you don't buy everything does it just keep offering you the same stuff I don't like buying things I don't want okay where else did I have oh there we go it's up there okay oh I need an ax I need an ax creepy I'll go ahead and put any excess Bells into bags in your pockets what does he just reach around and just just puts his little little paw finger into your pocket and then just just opens it up and slides some coin in there and it's just I don't like it that's creepy I don't like that at all I used to think with the update you'd be able to go upstairs all you need to do is move this basket and then you could go upstairs but no [Laughter] like this once in a while is important it helps you forget the bustle of everyday life well I'm glad you're here visiting because you're not staying God that was so mean why did I say that oh yeah wow I really wish they brought their own furniture because then it would make things so much easier decorating their places because I don't have a whole lot of furniture in my catalogs okay then should we choose Lolly oh no I can't decide I'm so indecisive it's gonna time out on me how about Eric oh I don't need more deer I'm sorry hang on let's see ah Petrie Petri Maybe you know who should we pick um ioni ioni's a good choice I would love to see what furniture ioni brings okay yes let's do that all right I love that this squirrel glows in the dark I think the Wolves the squirrels and the deer are all my my biases foreign [Music] okay crossing my fingers crossing my fingers that'll be logical stuff so that I can make celeste's home otherwise back to square one huh well that's not bad that's not bad I don't know oh this is a hard decision squirrels like trees a lot I'm being way too literal about this I know but um why is this such a hard decision I think I'm gonna go I think I'm gonna go with this one we're just gonna select this one [Music] for the sake of time we're going to choose a one level home foreign okay here we go okay I'm gonna stop here so that I can do a speed build of this we'll see how it goes I don't I'm not gonna make any promises I'm not great at decorating houses it's it's overwhelming I really wish I could put even more trees back here but it won't let you go beyond the boundary yeah I need to think up some ideas oh man yeah we'll see we'll see but we'll go ahead and stop here okay so I it's May 6th and I've started recording my playthrough again because I found this lost item right in front of my house and it says it's an old planner that's seen plenty of wear and just hair the last page has tally marks they are up to 12 now so who honestly knows if it's Apollo telling me that he's been counting down the days to when he can leave because he has finally felt my disdain for him I'm just kidding I just am a little bored by him he doesn't really have flavor I can't tell if he's supposed to be a normal type but even some of my normal types have a lot more personality he was one of my first amiibos but now you know like do you do you keep a village or just because they've been on your Island for a long time [Music] okay I am so sure that this journal is Apollo's let's just see foreign if I'm wrong that'll suck Dobby oh Darby oh Darby you lost your planner Dobby I should have I should have known I should have known my good friend Dobby would have lost would have been the one to lose his planner never thought I'd see it again oh beautiful I'd say thanks Dobby oh thanks buddy thanks thanks a bunch all right so this is an official ending of the video because I definitely forgot to last time it's been a day and I've recorded a bit since then but for my first video for YouTube I am going to make it a thing I'm gonna make it a thing and we're gonna throw some confetti nope that oh not at all but I wanted we're throwing confetti oh my gosh I did it again I'm telling you these switch controllers have some serious drift after a while the joy cons do okay we're throwing confetti yay the video is over we've done it there's a lot of editing to do and there's other stuff gotta upload the video and yep it's it's a lot to do but I'm so glad that it's over now so we can get it uploaded you know for you guys because it's definitely
