Cheap Van Life Living: Live Rent Free in Ehrenberg, Arizona (Live Rent Free)

hi everyone today i'm shooting another video in a series that i'm doing on um on really cheap or free places to camp if you're going to live in your car your van your suv suv or rv on really minimal amount of money you're going to have to boondock and by boondock i mean live on public land where it's free or absolutely minimal prices so this has been a series uh three four five different videos of different places you can camp for free today we are at erenberg you can see back here behind me all these different vehicles little white dots across the desert arab berg in fact just over there i'll zoom in so you get a better idea of what i'm pointing at just right over there is the town of blyth california we have just on the other side of the colorado river on interstate 10 and uh so we're within from here seven miles of blythe california and pretty good shopping and we're on the arizona side so we have the lower taxes lower gas prices that are available in arizona there are lots of good reasons we choose to stay i stay in ehrenberg a lot uh the only reason there is it's blm land and there is no enforcement here the blm rangers have come to us and said listen you can go over there and stay as long as you want but if you're here you have to obey the 14 day limit but here in in erenberg uh and tom wells road and tom wells road is right over here it's uh real close to the mountains and um here you can stay for free and we won't bother you and that's fine but here over in the courtside area you have to obey the 14-day limit so we come here and we go back and forth is what we do uh i was over at the court side for the rubber rendezvous the rtr and now i'm back here i have friends who will stay here as long as the weather is bearable this is the arizona desert so they come here in the winter they never come here in the spring or summer because it's just unbearably hot fall can be unbearably hot usually in october it will drop out of the hundreds and until then it will be in the hundreds uh and into the 90s and by the end of october with a little luck it'll be down into the 80s by november it's almost always into the 80s so you can spend november december january february here in ehrenberg four months out of the year no enforcement good shopping uh lots of everything around and then march is going to be into the 80s by the end of march it'll be well into the 90s uh april is you're pushing the hundreds again so you really you have four good months and really with the half two weeks onto each other end you can have five months here that you stay for free absolutely free no cost you can sit you don't have to burn gas if you want to travel you can but if you want to live really cheap i just did a video with uh lisa who lives on 250 a month this is how she comes and sits on a piece of land she doesn't drive in fact she just burns expends no money she eats cheaply she doesn't drive she doesn't burn gas and you can live on very very little money that way but you have to have a place where they're not chasing you around you're moving every two weeks because then you're burning gas and if you have to be too far away from town and town is very expensive uh to buy and shop for groceries then that costs pushes all the other costs up blyth has good cheap shopping for groceries there's uh the arizona side there's a flying j which has a good price on gas we're paying right now in uh this is uh february 2017 when i'm shooting this we're paying 219 a gallon 225 a gallon something like that so that's pretty cheap gas at the moment and uh the little town of ehrenberg has you can rent a box i rent when every year when i come here i rent a box because i circle around here i might go north i might go south east west but i will pass through ehrenberg again so i can get all my mail i rent a box it's eight dollars a month it's fifty dollars for um for three months and i get ten dollars in the back of that back as a uh a key for the deposit when i turn the key so it cost me forty dollars for three months to rent a box here so it's really cheap food is cheap it's close uh no hassles no harassment this is as cheap a living as you can do almost in this country zero paying zero for your home uh reasonably cheap on every other way so that's one of the reasons i'm telling you about it if you're interested in finding it i have another video where i give specific directions from exit 1 on interstate 10 in arizona to uh to our camp out here and you can camp anywhere along the way anywhere along the way you can camp you'll see in the background and i'm going to zoom you around and show you just how many people are here before and after the rtr because i come here and i've made this well known we will have 50 people from our our tribe our community of nomads that will gather here and right now there are at least 30 i would say maybe more it's hard to know who's with us and who isn't but there are a lot of people here so you can but you can look as we zoom around you'll see you can be all alone with no one nearby or you can be camped in a little cluster and it's all your choice you want to be in a cluster you can be and have a group of friends a community fires every night share meals you can do that you want to be all alone have no one within half a mile you can do that it's totally your choice you can live the way you choose here no one will tell you how to live you make that choice all by yourself so let me zoom you around and i'll show you it's really a great place i really love it uh four months out of the year the weather is good right now it's nearly perfect 70s during the day 40s maybe 50s at night very very pleasant weather it will stay this way through most of february by the end of february it will be getting warm it'll be pushing into the 80s maybe high 80s march you'll be pushing into the 90s i am gone by middle march always it's just too hot by then you'll be pushing into the low 90s and that's too hot for me from here i'll move north to probably cottonwood or sedona arizona where it will drop a good 10 15 degrees because it's at 3000 feet and then when that's too hot which it will be in april no later than may i will move up to flagstaff and from there i will leap off into my summer travels and we'll every year that's different could be almost anywhere in the country this year i believe it'll be alaska i'm not sure of that okay let me zoom you around you'll see it's a great area there's a lot of people here but still plenty of open space for you so i'll zoom you in and start you over on the right side that's that that's the town of blyth back there you can see you can see blyth way back there good shopping good shopping easy access to water and trash all the things you need it's pretty area there's actually an ltva midland ltva is right over in the side of life every one of the rigs you see here uh are with us and there's another group over here there's a lot of uh you'll see green fields over there that is um uh so here's a little cluster these folks like to be together they're right on this big dip really really cool pretty country i really really enjoy that country and so they're right above it so they're looking down on it these are our folks lots of you see cargo vans those are become extremely extremely popular the cargo vans there are a lot of cargo vans here and trailers a lot of cargo vans of course there's a lot of vans cargo trailers vans and even a few fifth wheels uh camper trailers cargo van van tow trailer lots of tow trailers those are really popular these are all all these folks are with us tom tom in the trailer dead center of the picture is the one that flew my drone for me not really nice guy and you can see blyth you know that's blyth in the background it's an agriculture area because we're on the colorado river and we also have a large group down on the colorado river you can go and camp exactly on the colorado river uh so we have a group of probably 20 30 people down camping on the colorado river the internet's not quite as good and there's a little more traffic i think so i'm not a big fan i don't go down there usually i like my internet group over there i'll keep coming around and you'll see there's a big group of our folks here they are camping together more of life in the background and just about as far as you can see over there are our people and they're just more you know fans and rvs and in the distance big area that's the key thing i want you to understand you can be all alone i mean these guys are camped alone there's no one near them off in the distance they can see somebody they're behind a tree they're tucked into a tree and that's your choice to be alone or not so there's someone here no one anywhere near them it's a good friend of mine there gonna have a did a video of her rig that toyota mini man on the edge there another good friend of mine these are almost all people i know somebody back way back there he they they like to be alone so they have found a way down into that little secluded spot and no one around them that's all their stuff no one sees them no one bothers them they have less wind because they're tucked in they don't have very good internet you know you get one or the other if you're down in a goalie you get some wind break but you get a lot of uh you don't get good internet but i'll just show you there's no one near them that could be you uh no one near them a long ways away and that's about it over here there's another fifth wheel who is not with us i don't think you'll be able to see them you'll run into my van here's my van they're not with us canadians they've been coming here every year uh every year since i've been coming here before long before they spend six months they have six month visa travel visa from canada they come down they stay right there they're never moved they've never seen a ranger there's no enforcement and they've been doing it for a long time they love the weather a whole lot better in canadian weather huh hey so i love aaron berg it's one of my stops every year uh it's it's just built into my plans and in this video you'll see there are lots of other in this series of videos you'll see there's lots of other places you can go camp for very free almost nothing so this is just one of the very best absolutely free no charge no hassles no harassment just come and camp uh and again i have a video on another on the channel of exact directions how to get to this camp okay so there you have it i hope you learned something i hope you can see that you can live really cheap you can live a very high quality life the life of your choosing by getting out of your house and into a vehicle a car a van an suv a minivan whatever you have you can find a way to live a great life on whatever your budget is it's an option you have the only thing holding you back is you and i can promise you there is so much
